(00:27):
Hello there we are the bitches of Dathomir.
My name is Rachel. And I'm Jen.
Yeah. Welcome to the podcast.
We're excited to have you here. Why?
What are we doing here? Why do we exist, Rachel?
What would we have prepared for?Everyone.
Well, today we're going to be talking about Tears of the
Nameless by George Mann, and I'mso excited because this is the
final part. I have a very strong feeling

(00:51):
this is going to be a longer episode than our normally longer
episodes. Heavy on the feeling.
Lots of feelings. Yeah.
Lots of great feelings. Spoiler alert.
I'm so glad we didn't have another death on our hands.
Like, I mean, well, the ones that we were really sad about.
Yes, ones that we were really upset about.

(01:13):
I'll go back. Yeah, because I, I thought we
were going to and I thought it was going to be my fault
somehow. So.
No, I, I know I'm really. Glad that it's not the case.
Exactly, I was thinking about you.
There are a couple of these episodes.
I was like, okay, Jens, not the Grim Reaper here.

(01:34):
Yeah, if this is your first episode with us, welcome.
You might want to go back and goover to Part 1 of Tears of the
Nameless and start from there ifyou want to go through this book
with us. Or this might be very random,
but otherwise. Chaotic.
Yeah, random and chaotic, but not in an or like in a non

(01:54):
organized way. We're normally random and
chaotic in an organized way, andwe would love for you to enjoy
us the way that we are. You know, when you talk about
Star Wars print media, specifically the High Republic,
this is Season 2 of our podcast and we are on the quote, UN
quote final phase of the High Republic, sort of we'll see

(02:17):
phase three. Yeah, yeah, I guess before we
start into or talking about tiers of the nameless, do we
want to talk about Star Wars news?
Sure, do what you got. I feel like your eyes lit up.
Only because I look at my prop nearby, which is Star Wars news,
which is my Art of the High Republic Volume 2 is in my

(02:39):
hands. I It is written by Kristen
Beaver and it is beautiful and I'm obsessed with this cover.
It's Gordon. Look at this cutie on the back.
It's a lovely nameless. Our.
Babies, I know. And it gets even better.
So if you take the, what is it called the dust jacket off,

(03:01):
there's beautiful image on the actual book cover and it is from
I believe Phase 2. And so it's the nameless and
it's got, I believe that's the mother Alicia.
And then on one side and then onthe other side, I don't actually
know who that is, is that? That's her sister.

(03:24):
Right. Oh, it's got to be her sister.
You're right. We forgot the sister's name
again. We sure.
Did I was going to just let it go and hope nobody called us out
on it. I'm sorry, I'm the one calling
us out and my brain just like stuttered.
Who? What does her sister's name?
The other says the good. Olivia, Alicia and Olivia,
right? No.
Yes. Maybe that sounds right.

(03:46):
God. Damn it.
All right, hold on a minute. While you look that up, it's
funny, I had seen that picture because people posted it online.
I didn't know what the context of it was, so I didn't know.
It was like the actual book itself had that on there that is
super, super beautiful. And I liked that Kristen posted
about it, obviously, because congratulations.

(04:07):
What a huge like accomplishment to be able to put out there.
And she just seemed just as excited as we all are about it,
which I loved so. I agree.
I will say I had a little bit ofa hiccup getting this book.
The book was delivered I believeon Friday.
And I was like great. And I run out and I'm like,
where is it? And I like in my back house.
So I was like, I'll check the front house.

(04:29):
Nope, not there. Looked everywhere.
It's like, Oh my God. And then I looked at my thing
and it said delivered to a city that's not my city.
And someone named Jolene signed for it and I was like, God damn
it, Jolene, why are you taking my irate public book?
I was. Jolene, you dumb bitch, Yes.
Yes, but then the next day I just showed up on my doorstep.

(04:51):
So either Jolene was very kind and delivered it to me, or there
was just some weird mishap altogether and Jolene never
received it. I don't know.
Jolene, if you sent it, I'm sorry I called you a bitch.
I meant it fondly, you know, like a fond bitch.
Like bitches of Dad. Mirror It is Olivia, Jedi Knight
Olivia's. Ever nice?

(05:12):
OK, Yeah. OK I I was tripping over my head
cuz Alicia and Olivia sound too similar in my.
Mind. Yeah, yeah, we got it.
But what a beautiful image, bothcovers the dust jacket and the
like. Normal picture.
Just gorgeous. I love that for her.
Yay. Do you have any other fun Star
Wars news? That's the only one I can think

(05:33):
of at the moment, no. Oh, actually this is not Star
Wars. Technically OK, but it is in
your cosplay realm. Oh yes.
I don't know if you, you don't have to give details or
anything. I don't know if you want to talk
about the fact that you're doinga cosplay Commission.
Oh yes I did. OK so my friend's daughter super

(05:55):
into K pop demon hunters as are we all and she was going to a
sing along and needed a costume and it was like I guess like all
the costumes for this movie werealready sold out and she
couldn't find anything anywhere and it would take too long to
deliver, you know going to like get seen other sources.
So she asked me to make her the.Costume amazing.

(06:18):
And I did, and it was so fun. I really only had a week to make
it and I think it turned out OK.I'm watching Project Runway
right now where they have to make an outfit in like a day or
two and I just feel like that was probably your vibe for a
minute. Chaos.
But the pictures I did see, I didn't have a child in it.

(06:40):
It was just the outfit. But it looked amazing.
Congratulations, that's a big deal.
Yeah, I was very excited. Everybody gives Rachel lots of
money to create beautiful things.
Yes, please. So yeah, I wanted to bring it up
because Congrats, That's that's super freaking cool and you did
such a good job. Thank you.

(07:01):
I appreciate that. I think the only Star Wars news
I have is that, for one, lots ofrandom cons are happening.
And I love it because we keep getting random clips of things
that are said or done at these cons related to Star Wars.
And I can't remember all of them.
But it's just fun and like, it'salways like Manny is on the
circuit right now and going to like all of these cons and I, I,

(07:24):
we don't deserve him doing that.Like he could just stay home and
that's what we would deserve. And the fact that he's going to
these and hopefully seeing all the love of like fans and stuff
makes me really happy. And he's talking about this
character and it just gives me all this like, hope and joy that
we'll get to see him and everyone involved in that again.
I hope so too. Sending out all of the positive

(07:46):
Acolyte vibes. Exactly, Doctor Aphra, Chaos
agent #3 came out today. Oh, right, awesome.
Brand spanking new. One day we will get to this.
In the future, yeah. We'll be retired by then, but

(08:07):
yeah. And semi Star Wars news, not
Star Wars news. So I wrote this out so that I
can pronounce it correctly. Hopefully I don't fuck it up.
I just wanted to shout out AldenAaron Reich.
Such a stellar actor and everyone was so fucking mean to
him about his Han Solo role. Yeah, that's right.
Yes. And I hate that he's actually

(08:27):
just such a talented person. And I just saw him in multiple
pop up in multiple things that Iwatch.
But in particular I went and sawWeapons, which is a horror movie
I've been looking forward to forever and I got to go see it
and he's in it. And like every other role I've
seen him in, he is stellar. And I feel like other people
went and saw it too because I kept seeing like, we owe him an

(08:48):
apology pop up and I'm like, good.
We really all do. Even those of us who never said
anything bad about him. It's like we should acknowledge
what a talent he is. And he played the Han Solo role
so well. It is got to be so hard to step
into a pre-existing role that another actor has done.
I cannot imagine having to do that.

(09:09):
And he took it and just made it somehow both his own, but also
to fit the character that already existed.
And I feel like that takes a really special kind of talent.
And he he did it. If you're into horror movies, go
see Weapons so you can see how fantastic he is. 10 out of 10
movie would recommend. Yay, glad to hear it.
I had someone say it was a horror comedy.

(09:29):
Do you agree what that Weapons is a horror comedy?
No, I do. OK, OK, great.
I get why people might say that because there is a little bit of
a campiness to it, but it's not used in the same way it's used
in horror comedy. OK OK, cuz I.
I would just call it straight horror.
But OK, OK, I'm, I'm, I really want to see it.

(09:51):
I, I feel like I've seen a lot of movies lately and I, it's
like on my list of things to watch.
I'll probably wait for that one to come out on streaming
services or something cuz I likeyou get to.
I mean financially I can only watch so many movies.
Literally this is the first one I've gone to to see since my
birthday since we went to Jurassic and it's because I was
saving up for. Oh my God, I love it.

(10:13):
And I, I'm so glad I saved it for that one because it was
phenomenal. You're going to really like it.
There are moments that are funnyin it.
So I don't want it to sound likeit's all serious because it
definitely has its moments of like, funniness.
But it's like Stranger Things where like yeah, there's humor
involved in it, but the main like plot is still centered
around, you know, horror. Or in the case of Stranger

(10:35):
Things it's like sci-fi horror. But this is like I don't want to
say anything else cuz I don't want to spoil.
It but it is horror. OK, OK, cool.
I got to hear. That go into it as blind as you
can. OK, will do.
Yeah. Anyway, with that non Star Wars,
Star Wars. We also talk about horror a lot.
I did. Before we like actually get into
it. I was thinking about last

(10:57):
episode. You asked me what I thought each
of the parts Oh yeah, we're about.
I semi have answers. They're not good ones.
I can't wait to hear what you have to say.
But I figured I'd put them out there and then we can just see
what you think about them. But.
OK, great. Go for it.
I said Part 1 was about it was very individualized journeys of
all these characters and I felt like it was very intentional to

(11:19):
show this perception of all of these characters feeling like
they're alone and whatever journey it is that they're on.
Even the smaller stories like Vernestra is coming out of this
traumatic situation and like hadmade the journey back to chorus
on alone and was kind of alone there for a bit in what she's
working on. So even like those smaller
stories, everybody was kind of by themselves a little bit and

(11:44):
how just the feeling of being alone can keep you from reaching
your fullest potential. That's kind of how I viewed
part. OK, OK.
Yeah. I don't know if that's how you
felt. No, how I you know, I mostly saw
on a wreath centric view and that was like especially on the

(12:04):
research on the nameless side where it was like the pre, which
was like mostly like in the darkabout the nameless and not
really too sure. And like kind of like tinkering
along the sidelines of what likethe name is really are and then
this. Yeah.
So I think that's where my firstpart wanted to play.
But I love your what's the word your idea that has to do with

(12:29):
individualism and how everyone feels alone?
Because I totally believe it's true too.
And I think like, that kind of makes sense with Wreath where
it's like he's almost there and he's almost getting it.
And I think part of the reason that's happening is because he
does kind of start this feeling by himself, even though he's
not. Like he obviously has supportive
people around him. And as we go through this book,
I feel like we have more and more people join in with what

(12:51):
Wreath is specifically doing. And in that he gets closer to
the answer of what the name was actually.
Are and his relationship with Aslan changes pretty
dramatically between the three different parts as well.
It does, which is really cool. I kind of wish I had gone more
into Aslan and my breakdown of the parts, but I kept it as
general as possible. Or I could probably do an entire
episode on the relationship between just as.

(13:14):
He's pretty intense. I came to mine Part 3.
Where the heck is that one? Oh my gosh, earlier I was
looking to make sure that mine made sense for where Part 3
started and I never found it, soI'm just hoping for the best
that it makes sense. Wait.
Do we have no Part 3? Is it just Part 1 and Part 2?
I would laugh so hard if that's the case because I don't
remember when I read through this.

(13:35):
I was so like, yeah, is it just two parts?
Because that's amazing if so. You know what, I I think there
is just two. Parts We're the bitches of death
in your podcast, guys. Welcome to our chaos.
Well, let me tell you what part 2/3 was.

(13:56):
Maybe because I'm so used to theHigh Republic having three parts
in there? We've had a lot of three parter
books. Yes, OK, This is not one of
them. This is 2 OK.
George is just trying to like, keep us on our toes.
Exactly. Thank you, George.
Thank you for that. I put that Part 2 is about

(14:19):
accepting failure and figuring out how it can actually be
something that ends up being thebest for you to go through is by
going through failure. And I guess if Part 3 doesn't
exist, it'll just be part 2B is about the strength you find in
allowing other people to help. Yep, absolutely.

(14:40):
And then that's also like the spoiler, the rift that we see
between Wreath and Aslan, and Wreath realizing how he was
being segregated away from all of his fellow Jedi and how like
he was repairing those bonds andrealized that working through
issues together is so much better all around.

(15:02):
It's amazing, yes. Yeah.
Love it. I loved that you asked that
question. I was like, I have to remember
to think about this. Great.
All right, Well, with that, I think we're gonna get into it.
We're doing it. We're on Chapter 42, right?
Let me move my notes now. Yes, we are 40.
Perfect. 43 because. We ended on like chapter 41,

(15:25):
which is the saddest chapter of all time.
It's devastating. Forgot I kind of blocked that
out. I love seeing everyone's
response to our crying and not and not the cry, only the
crying. Also the screaming at those
chapters. So good.
The video he made was so funny, it was perfect for that.

(15:45):
Yes. So chapter 4042.
Komak and Reed are walking through the ancient library.
Of course, this library has beenat the bottom of the ocean for a
long, long time. So there's sea life everywhere
and Moss and glowing things. And I laughed so hard when the
wreath was like, there's this green slime everywhere that's

(16:06):
turning his stomach. I'm like, you mean algae?
I literally wrote I love the description of how bad it smells
because both of us know exactly what that smells like.
I know and I love it. Why you too like the smell of
exposed algae at low tide, Like let's go.
That gets me so excited about discovery and exploration.

(16:26):
And apparently it wouldn't do the.
Same. For Wreath, well, Wreath could
just go explore. Old the archives, which are
clean and algae free. Dusty maybe?
Yeah, yeah, definitely no algae. So they're walking down this
pathway and it's slanting downwards.
And so they eventually get to this room and unfortunately it's

(16:50):
completely empty. There's nothing there.
I was like, gosh Dang it, we didall this work of like pulling
this repository up and out of the ocean.
It was very difficult. Something snapped in wreath and
here we are as failure. But the one thing that got me
excited is even though there's no, like, we were kind of
looking for, you know, data storage or, yeah, you know, a

(17:12):
giant picture that lays out exactly how to defeat, which
would be excellent. Instead, they do see these
interlocking circles carved intoa Stonewall, and Wreath realizes
it looks just like the puzzle box Aslin was playing with on
course on. What are the odds?
I know I was like, what does that mean?

(17:33):
Aslin's been here. That is what that means.
Yep, even though Wreath acknowledges like that's the
puzzle box, he's still frustrated and feels like this
is a waste of time. It's Komak who actually is.
Like something is here, you justneed to reach out with me and we
can find it. So I like that.
Again, it goes back to the beingtogetherness.

(17:53):
These two people who were kind of separated and had an angsty
relationship. Now it requires both of them to
sort of solve this puzzle, as itwere, because if Wreath had been
alone, he might have just given up.
Here, absolutely. But luckily Komek is here and he
notices that the circles kind oflook like a star map.

(18:16):
And so he has this idea to kind of like use of force to spin
those circles. And at first like he like spins
it and it he misses the location, right?
And so it falls back down. And I love that both Wreath and
Komak work together to like jointhe circles into the correct
alignment for the star map. And it works.

(18:39):
The floor lowers, ground starts shaking, water is coming into
the repository, but luckily the water eventually vanishes.
I guess there's some nice drainage holes that right allows
all of the. Excellent engineering, I know.
Can we? What's that engineers name?
And call me. The interesting thing is it's

(19:00):
not just that the water is draining, it's that they have
these like, tall pedestals rise out of the ground, I guess.
And it's like, what do these mean?
And it's 3 pillars and they're arranged in like a triangle with
crystals on top. Crazy.
I know. And so obviously this is
important. And wreath is like, oh, the

(19:23):
crystals, like there's probably data in those, right?
He's still kind of on this trackof like, it's got to be some
sort of physical, like there's got to be an iPad in there.
But when they get closer, he canactually see faces inside of
them. I know, which is crazy.
And they realize that these are coffins made of kyber.

(19:44):
Which is amazing. There's little mummies in each
of these coffins. It's fantastic.
Yeah, I've always been like anticoffin.
It's such a waste of money in space, you know?
And now I'm like, never mind, I'm back on that train.
I want a kyber coffin. Kyber coffin.
Oh my God. Someone out there can get this
accomplished for me, and of course I don't know if you had

(20:05):
figured this out at this point. I kind of had a feeling like
these are the three ancients. I don't think I realized it
right away because to me the three ancients were not human
entities. They were something other.
I think I was thinking along thelines of the father, son and
daughter rather than three mummies, but they're 3 mummies.

(20:31):
It is, and it's not bad mummies like, no, the 1999 mummy with
Brendan Fraser, this is that. Movie is great actually.
That movie is fantastic. I watched it recently because I
watch it at least once a year and it still slaps.
Every year it gets better. Fine, fine wine.
But yeah, these are good mummies.
And they kind of realized, like, these are the repository.

(20:55):
We're not looking for, you know,a data pad or something.
These are the keepers of the knowledge we're looking for.
Which is a crazy concept becauseWreath reaches out with the
force to kind of connect to them.
And I don't know how I feel about this connecting to like a
mummy, like how much informationis stored within the brain and

(21:17):
when it's dead. And like, to me, I was like, oh,
you're connecting with the dead in some way.
Or like this is a form of necromancy.
And I was like, Oh no, but no, our kind of Wreath kind of
pulled into this insane vision. I was so excited about this
chapter because we get some fantastic, fantastic

(21:38):
information. I thought of you.
I was like, I just know when Rachel reads that she's going to
lose it because I also lost. Yes, especially the first scene
is this beautiful Meadow with like the vibrant colors and it's
daylight, but there's an Aurora borealis in the sky and there's

(21:59):
numerous creatures frolicking inthe Meadow.
And most notably are these beautiful, graceful, peaceful
mammals on 4 legs. And I was like, Oh no, these are
our babies. I just knew it.
As soon as I heard that these graceful 4 legged mammals, I was
like those are the nameless and it broke my heart.

(22:21):
Same like they're supposed to bebeautiful and gentle.
Yes. And like, not aggressive.
And so we kind of had an idea that that was the case, is that
they're the way they are becausethey're not at home.
But like, having it described like this was just so jarring to
be like, they're not supposed tobe like this at all.

(22:43):
They're supposed to be like this, like what we're seeing
here. And even more heartbreaking is
Wreath watches the Ptolemites, which are these really
interesting people. They've got eben skin with two
elbows on their arms and they'rethin and willowy, but they've

(23:04):
got little Nets and they're going to catch these pre
nameless. I don't know what they're called
at this time. Right.
I hope one day we find out a beautiful name for them that is
not the Nameless. Me too, me too.
And sadly the Ptolemites capturethese creatures and take them
away. I was like no, not the.

(23:25):
Oh my God. And I, I guess the this little
memory has multiple parts to it,right?
Because there's a point at whichsuddenly it's dark and he's
cowering in the woods outside ofa settlement as creatures are
hunting him. So whoever's memory this is, it
was not a great one and he can feel the effects of the nameless

(23:48):
in this. Memory, which is my God.
Crazy and he runs into what he knows is the family home of this
person whose memory he's experiencing and their family
are piles of ash husks on the floor.
Like this is such a sad situation all around.
Nobody is winning in this situation.
It's like I can't be mad at the nameless for this.

(24:10):
Oh my God, absolutely. They were taken from their home
where they were thriving and doing doing well.
And now they don't have a food source, so they're resorting to
what they need to do in order tosurvive.
And I love that the memory was aware of that that.
They refer to them as corrupted and I I like that way of
describing it. Me too, of course the creatures

(24:33):
there. And it turns to the memory that
Wreath is inhabiting and Wreath screams and turns to dust and I
was like what a what a memory tolive like.
Also I want to know how these ancients acquired that memory.
Same questions. Unsure.
But anyways, in the next scene, Wreath is standing on this
mountain with a group of other survivors.

(24:55):
There's very few of them and they're looking down at the
blight. They don't just say that's the
blight, but they basically, it'slike this wasting disease that's
overtaking the land. It's it's the blight.
And Reef understands in this vision that they had upset the
balance. And the blight is a consequence
of that. It's like we're getting our

(25:16):
answers. This is wonderful.
Love it. I screamed during this section
because we've talked back and forth about this so many times.
But like, there is this very sadmoment of in the memory, he can
feel that all these people know they will not be surviving.
And, like, what a terrible, like, moment to have as a
culture, as a people is just to know, like, none of us are going

(25:39):
to make it. And we have to accept that.
But they do such an unselfish thing.
I agree. Yeah.
Instead of just being like, well, it is what it is.
They're like, we need to make sure other worlds and survive
this so that this never happens again.
So what do they do, Rachel? So they have these artisans that

(26:03):
are working on the three rods. I was like, finally the three
rods are dressed. I feel like I'd been going
insane. It was like 2 rods, 2 rods to
rods. And I was like, I know there
were three Once Upon a time, like back on Path of Deceit,
there were three. Where is this third one?
And finally, thank you, George Mann, Tears of the Nameless.

(26:25):
The three rods are back. And I love the way they're
described. This is not to punish the
creature, this is not to gain control over them in like a
negative sense. They view it as guiding them and
a tool to shepherd them home. Which is such a different
attitude than what we've seen the Nihil do with them, than

(26:45):
what we've seen Marquee on and Baron do with them, which is
just to exert control over the Nameless.
I love that the Ptolemites, evenafter being wiped out by these
creatures, don't view them as evil.
They know that this was their fuck up and they were like we
need to shepherd these animals home and we're going to do it
this way and then give other people the ability to do it as

(27:08):
well. Just the fact that they never
intended these to be used as weapons against the nameless.
I don't know why that just makesme feel like all good inside
you. Know yeah it's so impressive
because the Ptolemites didn't seem super peaceful before
especially because they were like traveling to all the

(27:30):
different planets and trying to find these rare artifacts to
bring back to their three ancients and to go from like
that kind of mindsets or take take take to like here we've
learned our mistake that taking and taking from the forest is
not the way to go and we're justgoing to give back it's just wow
way to go till. My way to go.
Wish we could be like that. So I guess like the three rods,

(27:58):
right, it's one for each ancient, which I like that
thought because we had brought that up a while backwards, like
wait, 3 ancients, 3 rods like soI like that we're finally sort
of getting the answers on that and it's inlaid with this
precious gemstone and I just am so glad we finally got answers
on this. Yes.

(28:18):
It's so good, and Reef goes backto Planet X in this memory with
some other person that he's likehaving a memory with.
And the three ancients did guidethe creatures back there.
And I just love that at least atthat time, there was some peace
to be found for them. Like I, I like the thought that

(28:40):
they haven't been off Planet X for just hundreds of years.
They were OK and they were takenback home.
And obviously we know what's happening now.
But I love that, at least in this timeline, the Nameless got
some peace. A little bit as well and I kind
of, I like this gives me hope for the future for the remaining
nameless, that they can be guided back home.

(29:03):
Yeah. Because I honestly feel like we
have to have at least one nameless alive in order for this
to work. Because if they're all the
Nameless are killed, I honestly feel like the Blight is just
going to keep going. Yeah, almost like that.
You need the to return the Nameless back home in order for
the Blight to retreat or stop orI don't really know.

(29:25):
I agree. They didn't answer that
question. They didn't say what happened to
the Blight after the Nameless. So I'm very curious to see how
that is. When it's like we don't know
timeline wise when they got wiped out by this tsunami like
or flood situation. So like had they gotten rid of
the blight because it stopped ordid they just get wiped out

(29:46):
before the blight could get to them?
We don't know. So question, yeah.
I know I also like kudos to the ancients guys.
They could have stayed on PlanetX and frolicked in the flowers
with Happy Nameless. They purposefully returned to
Tullis and built this repositoryof themselves and the point was
to make amends for what they haddone and then to share their

(30:10):
story. They could have skipped that and
they chose to do this anyway. And I just mad respect.
Yeah, weird thought. Do you think they were buried
alive? Knowing, you know, the mumminess
of it all, I just feel like probably.
Right. And the fact that they still
have memories of all these things, but like and the fact

(30:31):
that all three of them are in the same place, I don't know.
I don't feel like they died of natural aid causes.
If anything I feel like they're in some weird not death death.
Yes. Right.
It's it's, it's odd. I'm I want to know more about
this situation and I wish we hadmore time with them, which split
alert. We don't have that much time.
At least in this book. I hope that we get more time

(30:52):
with them in future. That would be so.
Stories. Yeah, that would be so cool.
Sweet Wreath comes back out of all these memories and is inside
the coffin room with Komak, who was not in the vision with him,
and now Reef feels like I understand everything, you know?
Of course, he can't even say that out loud before he just

(31:15):
passes out. Yeah, he had a big ordeal.
He did, yeah. I understand.
Well, we move on to Chapter 43 and it is a big change in pace
because we're with Sicaris as heis dropping out of hyperspace
right above the planet Tolis. I was like, gosh Dang it, he's
here already. Of course he's got his nameless

(31:36):
and Sigris is feeling great. He must have just gotten a
nameless blood injection. His blood is singing.
He's so eager to consume his prey.
Sigris navigates downward and almost immediately he there's a
proximity alarm. And I was like, Oh my God, yes,
we know who's above Tolis right now.
It's got to be the vessel. And sure enough, it is.

(31:58):
I was really hopeful that the Bustle saw Sicaris and was just
like, ha ha, you're going down Pew, Pew, Pew, Pew Pew Pew.
Just like that. Just like that.
Do it on controls of the laser cannons.
But yeah, no, that doesn't happen.
So what Sycharis ends up doing is that he turns off the ship
and allows the ship to just freefall down to planet.

(32:21):
And once he's under the cloud cover, he powers everything back
on, basically slips under the view of the vessel,
unfortunately, and he navigates to this little island.
And yeah, he lands. And then hope the last thing we
get was he's leaving is that there's this old Droid that
Baron Boulin mounted on the roofof the ship that is manning the

(32:47):
self-defense system. He's like codes it to go on and
walks away with his Electro staff.
Of course like when he goes to the back of the ship where the
nameless are, the Jedi woman is still there and she's poor.
Poor thing is like huddled in fear but luckily alive.

(33:07):
I was so glad to see that she was still alive and hopeful that
perhaps we would see a rescue since she's.
Not I hope so, because at this stage I was like, it might be
better if she was dead. You know where it's like, if
she's not going to be rescued, she's better off just dying than
being in the state that she's in.
Forever. I agree.
So I was very much like, God, please can we just have one of

(33:31):
the other? Either she needs to get killed
and put out of her misery, or let's rescue her police.
Yep. So Secrest lowers the boarding
ramp and lets the nameless out of their cages.
All three now have machinery implanted into their brains that
makes them easier to control andand all the three nameless
rushed down the boarding ramp, already sensing the Jedi nearby.

(33:53):
And apparently the oldest, most sickly one attacks one of the
other nameless and starts to feed on it.
Crazy. Crazy.
Now this has to be the one that Sicaris has been holding back
from eating, right? Yeah, he's been starving it.
Yeah. Sicaris is not very smart.

(34:14):
So Sigris is like wow, this is so fascinating and realizes he
has to like actually keep all three alive.
So he like presses his little remote control button and gets
the nameless to eventually let go of this one.
And I feel like he has to take him a couple times of
electrocuting this nameless before he finally let's go
crazy. I do love though that before

(34:36):
they all run off after he's separated them, that one, the
emaciated 1 looks at him with a look of pure hatred and I'm like
oh I cannot wait until this nameless fucks him up.
I know the foreshadowing here was fantastic.
Yes. Good.
All right, on Chapter 44, we're with Amadeo and the rest of his

(34:57):
crew. Unfortunately, Amadeo is
spiraling. On one hand, he can't believe
that Miro's dead, on the other, he's struggling to understand
what happened and whether he there was something that he
could do to prevent Miro's death.
And I like that. Dorian sits down on the bench
next to Amadeo and the two begantalking about how Miro died
trying to protect Amadeo and howMiro well where my my notes.

(35:27):
Oh that Miro did everything he could to keep Amadeo alive and
would be so glad that he is alive.
Yeah, so I think that was just some encouraging words to try
and make Amadeo feel a little bit better.
Yeah, and that it's like that whole thing of if Amadeo had
been stronger and helped Miro fight the nameless, he probably

(35:48):
would have died it it. And that's not what Miro
obviously wanted. So like, it was either they both
die or one of them die and Miro made sure it was just him.
And like, it's sad, but it just was the reality of the
situation. And I think Miro knew that and
he did everything he could to make sure that at least one of

(36:08):
them made it and he knew it was going to be Amadeo.
So yeah, I understand why Amadeois on the spiral, but hopefully
these incur this like encouragement from Dorian helps
a little bit. So yeah.
Yeah, and I love that Dorian is talking to Amadeo about how it's
OK to be scared of the nameless and, you know, not shutting down

(36:29):
that fear and allowing to acknowledge it and how the
moments of fear show you who youreally are.
And I love that Dorian opens up about how he's trans.
Yeah. Like, that's just isn't
something that was mentioned before.
And what a perfect way to bring it in because yes, obviously
feeling like you're born in the wrong body and having to hold

(36:51):
that in and be so scared to tellpeople.
And in this particular situation, he was so scared to
tell his father. The truth.
And so, like, Dorian understandswhat that kind of fear is like.
It's in a different situation, obviously, but it's still fear,
and I think Amadeo did need to hear that.
Just because you experience fearand even sometimes things don't

(37:14):
work out when you do, that doesn't make you weak.
It's about how you face your fear that counts.
And Amadeo is going to have to be facing it still for who knows
how long until all of this nameless stuff is.
Resolved. Yeah, absolutely.
And I think it works. It really helps Amadeo out,
especially since they are nearlyat Tolis.

(37:35):
Doran goes to get his medical equipment ready as Amadeo sets
his lightsaber down and picks upMaros instead.
I was like I love this so much. I know I've really grown to
just, I mean, I already loved Amadeo and Miro, but I think
I've always viewed them as a unit because that's how they've

(37:55):
always been presented. And it's unfortunate we had to
lose Miro, but it's almost givenme this new appreciation for
Amadeo as an individual character versus as part of this
pair we've always seen. Totally, and it still kind of
like keeps them together becausehe now is holding Miro's
lightsaber. So yeah.
He'll always be with him, like Physic, obviously, like

(38:17):
spiritually with the Force and all that.
That's what the Jedi talk about, right?
But having that physical representation of his master
there with him as he does all his battling is going to be.
Fantastic. Yeah.
What a great chapter. It was like short and sweet, but
like, it's such good, such good messages on it.
And with that, we're going to Chapter 45.

(38:38):
Yay, I was. So anxious because it's AFY and
Leox and they're they have harvested a bunch of mineral
samples of the stuff that was like resisting the blight while
Geode was kind of like sulking on the ship.
And I mean, I feel like in fairness, his friends were
blowing up a bunch of rocks. It sounds like he is.

(39:01):
Yes, and it sounded like Leox was gleefully blowing up rocks.
It's not even. Like he was.
Crying about it, he's like. I'm so sorry you've been a long
lost cousin. Like, yes, who's to say they
finished up with that part of it?
So I'm glad at least like, theirlittle side quest has been
successful. I was not expecting that because

(39:22):
you know how it goes in Star Wars, especially the High
Republic. I thought it was going to be a
hot mess. So now they're just in atmo,
waiting for Wreath and Komak to finish.
Easy peasy, right? Yeah, except for the fact that a
shrill alarm goes off. At first they think it's their
Jedi boys, as they call it. But after it realizes that it's
the recall device that she left with either Eve or ZAF, and

(39:47):
she's like, that's weird. And she looks at the location
and, huh, isn't that strange? So that's pinging from right
here on Tallis. I was like, Oh my God.
I know I feel like my hair stoodon end reading that, and I feel
like AFY also got that vibe. Just like that is creepy for us,

(40:07):
knowing what happened to them. Yeah.
But it's odd to her because she's like, this just doesn't.
There's something wrong with this?
Especially because they look at this location and sure enough,
there's another ship there. And not one they recognize.
I love that Leox has made it like, I don't care.
We're not part of this. He is.
So ready to be done with this? Shit, yes, he is and eventually

(40:31):
agree to contact Eve and my brain was like, why are you
gonna contact? I mean luckily we know that
sticker has already left, but I just imagine that a big cop unit
like hello Eve, copy, copy. Do you hear me and it's like
stickers is like yes, where's that coming from?
It always. Happens in movies and TV shows
at the worst possible. Time.
Yes, it totally does. But no, they contact either E or

(40:54):
ZAF, they don't know which one and the only reply is ragged
breathing. It's like, I don't like, don't
like it at all. Thankfully though, they're like,
OK, this is not right, we need to bring the vessel down.
But naturally, as soon as they start going to try to actually
go down to see what's going on, they start getting alarms

(41:15):
everywhere. Here we called it.
We called it. Dreaded fuel regulator.
But I feel like we we called this in whatever chapter, the
first part of this book, we're like, Oh my God, they're going
to press their alarms and they're going to get the call.
They need help and they're goingto go try and help and
something's going to be wrong with their ship and here we are.
Zach, I mean, Geode manages to at least get them stable, like

(41:38):
they're going to be able to land.
The problem is not the landing, it's the, oh, we're going to
need to get out of here at some point, and they're not going to
be able to. And given that there's a blight,
there's nameless running around in the Galaxy, There's Jedi who
are susceptible to the nameless on this planet.
They want to be able to escape and be in control of their

(42:00):
vessel, and now they know they're going to not be in
control of the vessel after theyland.
Yikes, Yikes. Yeah, I Raffy is so determined.
Like when she has her mindset onsomething like that is what
she's doing, and her mind is seton like, yes, we have to fix a
ship, but why don't we land and fix the ship while we go and

(42:22):
rescue whomever this person is? I know it.
Hurt my soul that she was like we have to go check on even Zapf
and I was like. I know.
ZAP so for. Real well, Yep.
We move on to chapter 46. We're back with Komak and
Wreath. Komak is like immediate like

(42:42):
Wreath has already told Komak what he saw on his vision and
Komak is like, Oh my God, this is the key to all of this.
And those stones are the echo stones.
And I was so excited to see thisname brought up again.
Yeah. Especially because did you end
up reading that comic I recommended?
No, not yet. Okay, you can spoil it's.

(43:04):
Fine, so this is a comic A1 shotwritten by Claudia Gray, which
is titled Quest of the Jedi and it's a High Republic Adventures
from phase two one shot and I remember.
Which? Is crazy.
I know we didn't end up talking about it 'cause I was, I read it
and I was like, this has no connection really to anything in

(43:24):
here. But the only connection we
really have is we know that it starts off with Aslan doing
research in the archives and he stumbles on the story about
Barnabas vibe. Did I get that name correctly?
Vim. That sounds right, Yes.
And he was an ancient Jedi explorer and he was super

(43:49):
obsessed with these stones called the Echo stones.
And he runs into this planet where they hold this giant stone
and there's like this people whohave the the force when they
really shouldn't because they aren't for naturally force
sensitive. And they find out that it's all

(44:10):
stemming from this echo stone. And not only that, the Echo
Stone originally promised this civilization like, you know, all
the plants and vegetation and bountiful like fish catching and
all that was starting to stop and dwindle away.

(44:31):
And how even though the force has good side, there's also the
bad side. And how the Echo Stone was
draining on the civilization andcorrupting the the main, the
woman who is like holding on to this Echo Stone.
And they ended up shattering it into three pieces.

(44:52):
Of course, of course. And so the Echo Stones are
supposed to be spread across theGalaxy because if they come
together, it's really bad news. And at the very end, as Lindrel
goes, the Echo Stones are the key to everything.
And that was the last time we had heard about the Echo Stones.

(45:12):
This bitch. And now here we are, these three
Tears of the Nameless by George Mann.
Echo stones are back. This stuff is just so like.
I'm always so flabbergasted by how well planned out everything
is. I am too and it kind of like
messes with my brains. I'm like now I'm like hyper
fixating on like little details. And I was like, are you going to

(45:33):
be important now? It's like this can't just mean
nothing and then lo and behold, like a year later, it's like.
Oh totally, I think I missed my place.
Where are we in the world? Chapter 46?
Oh yes, Oh my, my I my Siri changed Barnabas to Barbara.

(45:56):
Great Jedi explorer Barbara. That just makes me think.
I'm rewatching Stranger Things right now and RIP Barb, you were
taken too soon I. Know justice for Barbara.
I can only have so many justice fours and I feel like I'm
hanging on to hers, but that's. A good one.

(46:17):
That's a good. One, she's a good character,
solid 1. So anyways, back to Komak.
So he tells Wreath about this story.
I'm sorry. No never apologize I I really
wanted to read that and have just have not been able to
remember so I'm glad we were able to go over where the echo
stones thing came from because it didn't feel so random.

(46:40):
If you haven't. It's so random, Yeah.
So Komak realizes that these arethe echo stones, and Marcion
role must be using one of the echo stones to control the
nameless. And of course, course Cormack
knows about, or now they all know about the three, the rods
and how they're connected with the Echo Stones and how there's
three. Then they have to find the other

(47:00):
two. There must be the other two out
there somewhere. And maybe there's information in
the Archives, maybe the Aslan knows.
So they've got some research to do when they get back to
Coruscant. Oh yeah, Reese's brain is
already like, I'm turning all over the place.
Like I need to answer 1000 questions.
Yeah. First sign something's wrong.
He tries to call AFY for a pick up and no one answers.

(47:22):
I didn't like that at all. I and Brief does not like that
either and for good reason because as they go to leave the
structure, Brief suddenly feels a wave of terror and grabs his
shield but he can't concentrate and Master Komak like comes away

(47:42):
from the door to take them outside and is like the nameless
are here. Like, I sweared, I was
screaming, I was so sure this was it because there's really
only one entrance and exit unless they go down the drains.
But we've already talked about how they apparently don't swim
or do any scuba diving in this book, so that was not an option.

(48:03):
Right the fuck up on you guys aspart.
If only you had your little likeequipment you could just go down
the drain and everything would be perfectly fine.
Because the nameless don't swim.It seems like they can't swim.
Do you get that vibe? OK.
Unsure. OK, maybe they can swim on
Planet X and they're at their best little doggy paddle.
Yeah, that is the cutest image ever.

(48:24):
So yeah, I was pretty upset and anxious because our baby boy
Wreath, is terrified. And he can, like, see something
blocking the walkway. But like, we've talked about
when the Jedi are in the state, they can't really see well
what's happening. It's, like, hard to tell
illusion from reality. And he reaches really deep down
and calls to the Force, which I was proud of him for just being

(48:47):
able to do at all. And he actually flings the
shield at whatever this thing is.
And sure enough, it's nameless. Yeah, I hit it right on.
The head, it was so great. Knocks it over into this like
little trench area. I mean things are still unwell
because that's it like screams, he says, throwing up Master

(49:08):
Comex trying to drag him furtherinto the tomb while he just
wants to run away. Poor Master Comeack, all the
masters in these situations withtheir Padawan where they run
into a nameless. Think of how hard it's got to be
to try and maintain control because you know you want to
save your Padawan who may not. I mean, I know he's technically
a knight. They're not technically Master

(49:28):
Padawan anymore, but like, that's obviously the
relationship Master Komak has for this person, and he knows
that Wreath might just not be ina place in his training to be
able to withstand something so grand that even Masters have
succumbed to. Like it's just not something any
amount of training can help you with I feel like.

(49:49):
So the fact that Master Komak istrying to keep it together
enough to drag him further away,it like, makes me emotional.
It was so perfect and it also reminded me of how Comex seems
to have this like interesting knack to withstanding the
nameless and I love that he usedit to help Reed get away.
And like, I'm so glad Reed didn't, like, run towards the

(50:11):
nameless, towards the exit, because that definitely would
have been running towards his death.
And we don't need that. And even more shockingly, Komak
is able to ignite his light Saber and he swings it rethinks
that he's swinging at the Nameless, but Oh no, Komak is
swinging right at one of the crystal kyber pillars and a

(50:34):
little mummy falls onto the ground.
And this is amazing because it works because the Nameless
pounces onto the mummy and begins to feed on it.
Insane. What insane behavior?
So insane that allows Reese and Komak to run away and they
didn't think to turn around and take their repository, eat it

(50:55):
back into the ocean? That would have been too easy,
apparently. Like I but OK, I will give them
a break. Like they're all weakened from
the nameless effects, but like that would have been so cool,
right? Just sinking back into the
ocean. So they exit the repository.

(51:16):
Comac is calming the crew aboardthe vessel, telling them that
Niall and the Nameless are here and need immediate backup.
Luckily, they're able to reach the vessel and the the Ox is
answering. He goes, Oh yeah, we're already
on our way down, we'll be there.Just a few seconds.
I was like, yes, this is great, they're here, it's going to be
great. Ship doesn't work well but it

(51:37):
should be fine. And then it gets worse because
then they realize that they're surrounded by other nameless and
not only that, they're being hunted.
Like I know, like a pack. It's crazy.
Well, and they see Sicaris, theydon't know who this person is,
but they they see them watching them and as the vessel gets

(51:58):
closer to them, that's their like hope and their lifeline,
right with all these nameless and this rando person they don't
know shots start firing from stickers as vessel because it
had that automatic system and the vets will get struck down
out of their view. So they can't actually see what
I know. This is not good.
It ends the worst way it could possibly end this chapter, which

(52:20):
is with re feeling the two nameless that are out here
getting closer and he like knowsin his heart he is going to die.
And I was like, don't say that, baby boy.
That's so stressful. I will say that I really
appreciated an outside perspective of Sicaris because
we haven't seen this person and the fact that he's got pale skin

(52:42):
and like fine scars all over hisface, which we have to be.
Baron Boulin's like crazy torture.
I love that little bits Sicaris. Is a crazy.
Crazy guy. We get a little bit of a break
from the anxiety and stress of Dulles because chapter 47 we've

(53:03):
got Vernestra on her little likemission, right?
She is busted into Aslan cell because she had interviewed that
temple guard who turned out was a human named Borthus Meadow and
he got arrested but claimed he knew nothing of the comms
equipment and that it was just on order from the temple guards

(53:24):
that when Aslan knocked on the cell he would go check on them
because his old ass might be dying and he might need help.
And I was like, he did seem sincere.
Though he did he. Seemed, which is odd.
So I'm like, did Aslan like fuckwith his brain somehow?
Like, I don't, I don't know. But to me, a sincere person
wouldn't like look both ways andlike check to make sure no one

(53:48):
else was coming before walking into someplace.
To me that's like checking to make sure no one's looking kind
of behavior. Yeah, it seems very shady.
To me. Good old Borthus, though.
Vernestra is so certain that Aslan has something to do with
everything, because they've now received a call about what
happened on Angot. They know about Mira Lox's

(54:09):
death, they know that there was an informant involved.
So she is on the warpath and of course she busted in there and
he's playing with that damn puzzle box and she confronts him
about sending the Nihil after Wreath.
And he is like, I have no reasonto put Wreath at risk and no way
to contact the Nihil. And she just insists.

(54:32):
She's like, I just know you manipulated the Temple Guard to
do it. And of course, he's just like
you. Want some tea?
Yeah. Aslan Whoa.
Brunestra is wise to his tacticsthough.
And. She's so wise.
She knows exactly what to say too, because weirdly, I think
this does bother Aslan. She's like, Wreath will never

(54:54):
listen to you again when he hears what you've done.
And Aslan is like, you're wrong, you're wrong.
You don't know Wreath like I do.I think the thought of Wreath
not listening to him does botherhim.
I don't think it's out of genuine care for Wreath, but I
think he enjoys feeling like he has control.
I agree because wreath is so important to him and he keeps

(55:14):
saying that wreath is the key toall of this and I want, I feel
like Aslan wants to be have ownership of that.
Yep, 100. Percent.
I thought it was really creepy that Aslan pointed out
Vernestra's path. He didn't say specifically oh
this is Mari Santeca's path, buthe tells her we all have our own
path, don't we? And I know, and I don't know if

(55:40):
this was intentional, like Vernestra definitely takes it as
alluding to Mari Santeca's path and is very freaked out by it.
But Aslan repeats this path phrase to Wreath later on, which
I think is very strange. And I wonder if that's just an
Aslan special from hanging out too much or doing too much

(56:01):
research on paths of the open hand.
He's like paths are the only way.
Aslan's got a little like scrambled egg for a brain at
this point. He really does.
But yeah, yeah, Aslan accuses Vernestra of being a fool and
like, demands that she leaves. And this was a really
interesting moment where Vernestra's kind of questioning

(56:22):
whether I guess it's a kind of like, open to interpretation
whether Vernestra questions. To me, I feel like she's
questioning maybe because I'm questioning myself whether
Wreath will follow Aslan or Vernestra's words.
And yeah, from what we've seen with Wreath, he very much stands
by his decisions with sticking by Aslan and.

(56:44):
I don't know. I know, I think with everything
that is currently happening on Tolis, I just felt like this was
the tipping point for Wreath. And I kind of had this feeling
that he was going to go back towards the Jedi side of things.
And even if he doesn't find out or didn't find out about what,
you know, Aslan has done, I justhad this feeling everything

(57:05):
that's going on on Tolis is going to make him stronger as a
Jedi, more so than pushed him away from the Jedi, which is
what I was afraid What's going to.
Initially, I agree. Speaking of Tolis chapter 48,
Amadeo made it to Tolis. There's so many moments where I
was like, Oh my God, this person's here, yay.

(57:25):
They can say, Oh my God, this person's here, yay.
They can save the day. And they kept like, you know,
this person's like shipped down. And it was like, oh.
Also, there's Nameless everywhere.
Hope you're cool, Amadeo. I know.
Oh my God, that's so, such a good point.
Yeah, 'cause they get to Tolis, they see the vessel get hit by
laser fire, and I love that Ashton is chaotically piloting

(57:48):
the ship. No one is happy about this
pilot, these piloting skills, but they've.
Apparently L77 is firing the cannons and he ends up causing
the the Nile ship to explode. And I was like Oh no, not
Darnie, our Eve. She's still on there, Swift.

(58:09):
And I was hoping for. Oh yeah, you're right.
There it is. RIP Eve.
Unfortunately, flames from the explosion from the Nile ship
pushed their ship back and they careen out of control and
crashed themselves. Crashed #15 yeah.
There's so many crashes in this novel.
Luckily, everyone is fine and they're able to exit the ship.

(58:30):
Unfortunately, once Amadeo exits, he's immediately overcome
by the effects of the nameless. What are you doing here?
It's interesting though because like Dorian grabs him and kind
of tries to help center him, andAmadeo was able to clear up his
vision in his mind, which is interesting.
I don't know if it's just because he's far enough away
from the Nameless and has someone helping him, I'm not

(58:52):
sure. I just thought it was
interesting that a younger person was able to do this so
quickly. Yeah, that's a really good
point. It wasn't like a group effort.
Like maybe there's spawn betweenDorian and Amadeo is stronger
than we Yeah known, yeah. Yeah, but he's able to ignite
Master Locks's Saber and head towards where he knows his Jedi

(59:13):
friends are. Can't.
I mean, it was like perfect timing because Wreath is frozen
with fear and the Nameless are circling closer and he like,
can't really see them, but he can hear Sicaris laughing.
He just calls them their handlersince he still doesn't know who
this person is. And he ends up like dropping to
one knee. But the part that made me like

(59:35):
was that even dropping down to 1knee, he finds the strength to
hold on to the shield. And I was like, oh, This is why
you're the perfect person to have this thing.
Yes. I agree.
Yeah, it's bad news. Komak drops his lightsaber and
he's down for the count as well.Reed thinks that this is the

(59:57):
end. Then he notices that something
is distracting the Nameless. He like looks up and see the
silvery figure and he's got he'saffected by the nameless right,
so he can't really see he's likethat must be a Droid.
Sure enough, it's the Droid L77 charging at one of the Nameless
and slashing at it. And I was like, and then he
looked kind of like. Hazely looks over are wreath.

(01:00:19):
Hazely looks over and sees that the other Nameless is being
attacked by a woman who's shooting at it over and over
again. And of course now the Jedi
hunters like I need to join thisbattle.
Turns on his Electro staff and faces Amadeo.
And there's another man as well, and Wreath is like, why is
Amadeo here? And he's kind of like wishes

(01:00:41):
that Miro could tell Amadeo to go away.
It's like, why isn't Miro sayingsomething?
Then, of course, both Wreath andKomak are hit by the effects of
the third Nameless, who's now done snacking on mummies and is
hungry for. More.
I hate this. Amadeo sees this happen too,
right? We're like they're screaming and

(01:01:02):
dropping to their knees and he wants to go help, but Sicaris is
now approaching him and he doesn't know who this person is
either, right? Like nobody knows who this rando
is, but he's got an electric staff and it's not looking like
he's a good guy at this point. He does.
One of his eyes is red and has black lines in it.
Love this switch too. Super cool.

(01:01:25):
So cool. Amadeo and Dorian essentially
decide like, you need to go helpbreathe and master Komak.
Which leaves Amadeo alone with Sicaris and he's trying to like
remember his training while shaking off the latent fear from
the Nameless. And it's interesting, he can
feel some of the Nameless's power coming off of Sicaris.

(01:01:45):
Too, Yes. Which is crazy.
It's. So crazy.
And at first, he's like, oh, whydo I still feel so in full of
fear and like, where's this coming from?
And and like, realizing it's coming from the Jedi Hunter, AKA
Sicaris. Yeah, that is interesting how
Sicaris can affect the Jedi, can't feed on them, but does

(01:02:07):
affect them. And poor Amadeo is struggling,
so he's using the Jedi hunter, is using this fear tactic to his
advantage and ends up hitting Amade with Electro staff a
couple times. I feel like every moment there's
like, yeah, they're coming to save the day.
And I was like, no, they're failing.
And then we hear Ashton screaming and she's on the

(01:02:28):
ground clutching her stomach andholding stuff in and this like
moment where L77 slams the nameless to the ground and
rushes towards Ashton was just like, I love it.
Yeah, I know stressful situation, slight glimmer of

(01:02:48):
hope, which is Amadeo realizes stickers was using the same
patterns of attack against him. And so he's like, OK, I remember
tend to be weakening. I'm gonna wait for my moment.
And I know what moves he's goingto make.
And so I'll get, you know, the advantage over him.
But Sikaris knew already that hewas thinking this.
I don't know how sometimes it seems like Sikaris isn't even

(01:03:11):
all there. And then he does shit like this
where you're like, oh, you're you're you're cognizant, you're
smart sometimes. And so Sikaris utilizes the
moment of Amadeo trying to get advantage of him and slams him.
Really. Yeah, that's it.
We have the Jedi Hunter basically blooming over Amadeo,

(01:03:31):
and we're like, well, how's thatgoing to end?
And we move on to Chapter 49, which is the vessel is a shit
show. There's sparks flying
everywhere, Cables are everywhere.
Geo's in the midst of all these cables trying to figure stuff
out, trying to get the flight systems back up and running so
that lyrics can then navigate them out of there.

(01:03:53):
And I love that Appy's like, OK,bye, have fun fixing the vessel.
I'm going to go after Eve. Yeah, Leox does not like the
splitting up thing and neither do I.
I was like, this is how we're going to lose appy.
This literally my first thought.I was like well bye appy, I
might as well just I. Know.
Yeah, well, Appy is smart and capable, as much of A capable

(01:04:15):
young woman can be. She's able to find the Nile
ship, and I like that She's, like, checking the surroundings
to make sure that there aren't any other Nile nearby and
doesn't see anything, shooting at anything.
And she does approach and nothing happens.
She sees the open airlock and she jumps up and in, and the

(01:04:36):
vessel inside is all empty, likenothing is there.
Afy's exploring the ship and shereaches this compartment where
she sees lots of large metal pens, and she knows immediately
that it's the nameless pens. It's like, oh, poor little guys.
And I also love that Afy's too. Like oh poor little nameless

(01:04:56):
creatures. This is why we love you AFY.
Unfortunately though, AFY does find EBAR in one of these cages
because there's this figure on the ground and the figure is
caked in filth and grime and is like staring with this

(01:05:17):
expression of fear, and it takesAFY like a couple seconds to
realize who it is she's looking at.
Yeah, the fact that she doesn't even recognize who it is at
first is not really. It's not good.
I know when I read this description of Eve, I did not
have hope for her I. No.
Thought she was too far gone andlike a very similar like Aslan

(01:05:39):
rel situation. Yes, I thought the crazy thing
it's it's AFY trying to ask where ZAF is for me.
Oh my God, I know. Yeah, and Eve just says no.
I was so sad and like shaking her head and like the whole time
Eve is like barely able to respond to anything.

(01:05:59):
But the fact that she was able to respond to that question was
just like, gut wrenching. It's heartbreaking, it really
is. I know, especially since since
AFY immediately knows it means that ZAF is no longer with us
with them and is trying to keep from crying.

(01:06:20):
But yeah, luckily AFY just guides Eve out of the ship and
they head towards the vessel. That's it.
And everything's fine and we endthere.
And thanks for being with us on our episode.
It's great. So there are good things ahead.
I love it. There are, there really are,
Despite the stress that we're feeling right now, good things
are coming, I promise. Short spoiler alert Chapter 50

(01:06:43):
Reef sees a young man coming their way because they don't
know Dorian. Yeah.
And Dorian's firing at the Namelits, which are now backing
away and it's helping to clear up Reef's vision a little bit,
but he is able to see Amadeo go down in front of Sicaris.
And thank goodness this all timed out so well.
Thank you, George, because sinceReeds has a little bit of

(01:07:06):
clarity, he's able to fling his shield out and prevent Sicaris
from just like murdering Amadeo in front of him and it hits
Sicaris in the. Chest this description or
Sicaris goes flying back severalmeters made me laugh.
Like same. I was like I hope he just iced
you in half Darth Maul style bitch.

(01:07:27):
I hope that it was just like internal hemorrhaging, dead,
gone and instant. Like, you know, like how can you
survive that sort of impact? Unfortunately he he does he like
sees him stand back up, but before he like runs for Amadeo
to help him, he looks around andsees that there's a dead

(01:07:48):
nameless on the shoreline. So yes.
Way to go one down. Yeah, we'll take whatever
victory we can. And then he sees, Yeah, the one
that I keep wanting to call him something else, but it's L7 is
fighting with another one, and the third one is nowhere to be
found, supposedly, for now. So interesting.
But this is great because it allows Master Komak and Wreath

(01:08:12):
to run for Amadeo, right? Yep.
Who is needing some help? Oh, he totally does.
Yeah, cuz Sicaris is like getting back up.
He's totally fine saying internal bleeding set aside.
It's not his blood anyways, right?
It's all nameless blood. And Wreath and Komak work
together to fight Sicaris. And the way Sicaris battles

(01:08:32):
these guys where he's like, singing the Sri Karai song and
taunting them and like, gigglingat them and is able to be
surprisingly fast. And it makes me wonder if it's
the nameless blood that's causing Sicaris to be so like,
present and sharp and. Yeah.
Extra and of course, like Wreaththen realizes that he too is

(01:08:57):
being affected by the nameless and he's like, that's weird.
Where's this coming from? And I think they they figure out
that it's Sicaris, right? Yeah, they all kind of figure
out that Sicaris is giving off some of the effects of the
Nameless, but it starts to get really, really bad.
Yeah. Uh huh.
Yep. What?
What? What's going on?
Well pre to that everything is really bad because Sicaris has a

(01:09:22):
massive advantage. He's got nameless blood, he's
affecting the Jedi. So Comac goes down, then wreath
and Wreath is like I'm over thisI just want it all to end.
Then he notices the shape behindSicaris and it's the Nameless,
and instead of attacking the Jedi, the Nameless pounces on

(01:09:44):
Sicaris and begins beating on him.
I It's just so satisfying. It really is.
And I mean, we know it's the emaciated one.
Like it's the one that fucking hates Icarus.
Yep. And it just, it's just like
poetry. It's so good and the Sikaris is
so confused. He's screaming at the nameless

(01:10:06):
how they're the same and how he's special and he's like very
upset as he's being turned to dust.
Which is ironic because Sikaris only wanted this to happen to
himself and how such an amazing opportunity for the Jedi to turn
to dust and like, he's just like.
Yeah, you're free now, Sikaris. Yes, exactly.

(01:10:27):
Don't dish it if you can't take it.
I agree. Well, next thing Wreath knows
he's being dragged away and eventually realizes it's the
Droid pulling him as far from the nameless as possible.
Yay. Oh, thank God.
I know. So chapter 51, Ashton, Dorian
and L7, I guess, had LED all these poor Jedi back to the

(01:10:49):
Invictus to take shelter inside because there's obviously at
least one nameless left and it is stalking the ship.
So they're all kind of just likehidden inside.
Yeah, I was really terrified in this moment because I feel like
the last time we wasn't it George Man who wrote.
I think so, right? That one like comic series.

(01:11:11):
Yeah. Fear the nameless.
Fear the nameless yes I knew it was a nameless something in my
brain yes so fear the nameless same story nameless are outside
trying to get in. I was like, I hear her again.
This is not going to end very, very well.
Yeah, they're they're all trapped.
Their ship is dead. They have no way of getting off

(01:11:32):
planet. To make matters worse, the
Nameless knows this somehow and keeps howling and making creepy
noises which are affecting the Jedi.
The L7 and Ashton are both not in great shape.
No. So like they're non affected by
the nameless people are down to 1 healthy 1 which is Dorian, A

(01:11:53):
Droid that is not doing as well and A and Ashton who is also not
doing well. So like this is not maybe the
best. Situation.
And they call and thankfully getthrough to AFY, but she's like
the vessels also fucked so. But sweet Amadeo realizes we're
standing in a ship, and even though it doesn't all work,

(01:12:15):
there might be parts on the Invictus that can help repair
the. Vessel love that I was so glad
this was an opportunity because to me the Invictus seemed
complete debris. Like.
Yeah, all parts were gone. But apparently they believe that
they have a, what did they call it?
And a oh there's a full name forit.

(01:12:40):
Oh my note just ran away. I think it went way back up to
where it was before. Shit, what chapter are we even
on 50? 51.
Oh hell yeah, 51. Anyways, the vessel needs an
inverter. Luckily, there it is.
Broken power relay inverter. I don't know what that.
Means I'm glad you wrote that out, because I did not, or I

(01:13:02):
would have been a little more helpful in that moment.
Don't even worry about it. Vessel needs power relay
inverter and luckily the Invictus has one that's working
just great. Thank God, thank God, thank the
Maker. I know, but only problem is how
do they get to the vessel? Oh, let's see, there's some

(01:13:27):
other things that happened. Do you want to talk about how
Amadeo or Wreath accidentally brings up Master Locks?
Oh my God, yeah. They find out through an awkward
conversation that Mira Lux has died.
And it, like, forces this conversation out where it's
like, everyone, I just like imagining everyone just standing
there being like, I'm so sorry. So.

(01:13:48):
Amadeo is crying and can't keep himself together and.
Yeah, as reef is probably just like.
Fucking I know. Luckily Dorian is there and is
able to explain what happened. Oh sweet Dorian, I love you.
This whole thing though, like trying to avoid what just
happened in terms of the conversation and like how we're

(01:14:10):
going to get out of the vessel. It does make Reef think about
what happened in the tomb though, which is great because
it's the whole mummy eating thing and Reef's like what if we
give them something bigger to want to eat and suggest they try
waking one of those force rich mountain looking creatures that
he sensed in the ocean earlier? He's like I can just what if we

(01:14:35):
just ask one for help? Yeah, and they all agree that's
what they're going to try and do.
You know, honestly, when the Nameless were running out of
Sikrist's ship, I totally thought they were going to run
straight towards those mountains.
Like, forget about the Jedi. The Nameless are like give me
the mountain. Right.
And I'm like, does the water like block the Nameless's

(01:14:56):
ability to sense? I don't, I don't know.
Unsure, all I could think about is how we definitely need and
then I completely blanked on hername because I'm the worst.
But we need our sweet little friend who can talk to animals.
Oh, tap. Tap.
Tap, tap. Yeah, we need tap tap right now.

(01:15:17):
I mean we, we don't cuz we're going into chapter 52 and like
Reese gonna get shit done right?Yeah, yeah.
But tap tap would be really cute.
Here I feel like tap tap would have communicated more
effectively to the creature because it seems like, OK, so I
guess I should back up before weget to how they awaken that

(01:15:38):
creature. So they end up all three Jedi
are going to work together to reach out to the Force and try
to wake up the creature. And I love this moment where
Reese is almost like nervous about everything and like full
of fear. And once he like reaches out to
the Force and is like reconnected with it brings he's

(01:15:59):
full of light and like all of his fears are banished.
And I love that he thinks about what Aslan said about embracing
the fear to gain power and how even when faced with the
nameless, he still has remained true to himself.
And I'm just. Like, yeah, love, love.
And then with that, just like 1 realization, all of his
uncertainties are completely gone.

(01:16:20):
It's like yay read. Oh, did it?
We made it. So the Jedi connect to one
particular monster, not monster I guess a monster mountain
monster. And they call to this creature
and ask for its help in the bestway that they can.
And eventually the creature stirs and opens up its eyes and
I just imagine the creatures like why the fuck did you wake

(01:16:42):
me up? Literally would be me if I had
people poking at my brain to be like wake up wake up wake up.
So you can be a distraction and something can try to feed on you
and be like the fuck is wrong with you?
Yes. So to me, this creature is so
mad and it's like roaring and it's so loud.
The entire ship is shaking and the monster is so massive it's

(01:17:05):
like stomping its feet. Well, right, it's probably
tiptoeing and the ship is shaking.
Yeah, the the creature is heading towards the ship because
it's pissed. So this is where I'm like tap,
tap would have just been like, hi, please can you go anywhere?
That way it's like, Oh yes, for you, anything.

(01:17:26):
Anything for you. Tap.
Tap. Totally.
This impacts the nameless immediately.
It's almost like as soon as the creature reaches the land, the
nameless like runs straight for it and this allows all of them
to get off the ship which is. I just love the thought of this

(01:17:49):
little group running with their one part, just like, yeah.
And I mean, they they make it, thankfully, and they see the
creatures, like fighting as they're making their way onto
the ship, which is crazy. Is very Godzilla versus, you
know. I got.
That's a very good point, but I got T Rex versus Velociraptor

(01:18:11):
especially as it was like scrambling.
On the back and size difference wise, I think that's probably a
little more accurate. Although I do think that size
wise this monster is more Godzilla size than T Rex size.
Probably, but what would be the equivalent nameless in the
Godzilla universe? Just like a person throwing
punches you. Know yes, I'm trying to think of

(01:18:31):
the other monsters and they're all massive.
Right, they're all big. I don't know.
I'll have to think about that one.
Just Rachel. Up there like.
No, Godzilla and I are friends. It's fine.
OK, this would be like play fighting.
Oh, OK then yes. Never ever a real fight between
these two. No, no, no.
They do barely make it because Ifeel like this fight is probably

(01:18:53):
like pretty rough on the surrounding landscape, But they
they're going for it. They're leaving Tolas, thank
goodness, with all of their parts intact.
And Afy makes her way to read, to tell him like, hey, I know
that was rough, all of that, butwe got your samples.
Yeah. And I'm like, OK, thanks, Afy,

(01:19:14):
for coming in with a little bit of clarity of, like, something
worked out there, and it's fine. And for just that little while
that wreath is on this ship and they're on their way to
Coruscant, he feels calm. It's so great.
Love to hear it. Yeah, because even before, when
Wreath was like right before Wreath called out to the

(01:19:35):
creature, he didn't think he wasgoing to make it.
And even to the point where, like, he told AFY all his
knowledge about the Tolomites and like, what to tell the Jedi
Council. Yeah, that's a terrible mind
place to be in. I also really found it
interesting that the giant mountain creature went back into

(01:19:57):
the ocean with the nameless still screwing on its back, and
it seems to be unable to somehowconsume this mountain creature.
So I I have so many questions. What does this mean?
Yeah. Yes, What's with the water?
What's with this cool creature? Is like the skin different?
Yep. Or is the nameless so busy

(01:20:19):
trying to like, run up the back and not get hit that it doesn't
have an opportunity to feed? I don't know.
Yeah. Well with that we go to chapter
53 and it's three days after those events.
Sweet Vernestra is like, all right, Reese had three whole
days, which in Vernestra time islike 3 months to recover because

(01:20:40):
you know how she'd be. So after she's given him all
this time to recover from this ordeal, she's trying to find
him, goes to his lab, and of course finds him with Amadeo
because they have immediately gotten back to work and they're
reading over reports from the RDC on the Nameless that they
had captured because I guess they captured 4 total.

(01:21:01):
That's a lot. That is so many, right?
Because it was the one from Mero's expedition and then the
three from with Ram and Tep, Tepand the others.
That's crazy. And they're all on croissant,
hanging out. Just there ready to break free
in any moment. But I guess they've been doing

(01:21:23):
early trials with the OR that Affy and Leox blasted out,
right? So cool.
Yeah. And it's been successful, yes.
I can't believe it that the OR is actually able to withstand
the effects of the blight. This is.
My God. Great news.
We've got some wins in this book.
Thank God. Finally.
Right at the end, George was like, yeah, we should probably

(01:21:45):
make it a little. You know, positive.
Yeah. Yeah.
And I love that furniture was like, hey, by the way, Aslan was
being shady. And I just want you to know that
wreath. I love her so much.
She was like, I'm going to throwhim right under the bus and I'm
going to give you the hot Goss, which is that Aslan is a shady
bitch. Thank you.

(01:22:08):
Yeah, and then, of course, furniture then updates them that
Chancellor Lena so authorize another mission to Tolis.
They're going to get more of this mineral that is
withstanding the blight. However, they've decided they're
only going to send RDC. Maybe.
No volunteers this time, no Jedi.
Zero Jedi. Thank you.

(01:22:31):
Yes, there needs to be no Jedi on this machine.
Yeah, yeah, Wreath updates Fernestra how he's going to deal
with some things before focusingon finding the missing rods and
doing research on that. And I love that Fernestra ends
this chapter by telling Wreath that he has given everyone hope

(01:22:51):
for the first time in a very long time.
Yay. He.
Really has like, I feel hope forthe first time in a long time of
reading this story. Honestly, it's like, oh, we
might actually, they might be able to do this.
I'm so hopeful. That's so good.
Well, chapter 54 Afy is at the Jedi Temple with Eve, who is not

(01:23:17):
completely dead. She is being cared for in the
Medical Center. And not only is she not
completely dead, she seems to bementally OK, as best as OK as
you can be. Yeah, like she's actively
recovering and like saying wordsto AFY that are in complete
sentences like. Yeah, yeah.

(01:23:38):
Eve's thinking AFY for saving her from the Nile ship.
And I love that Eve is like, like thinking about mentally how
she's doing and how she knows that she's tired, but she needs
to act. And she especially wants to help
fight back at the Nameless or the Nameless and the Nile
mostly. Yeah, just like that's such a

(01:23:59):
great goal for Eve. I love that.
Same. And like she seems to have come
to terms with what happened withZAF.
Yeah, which is a big deal cuz what a traumatizing situation.
Obviously. Totally.
She doesn't even really rememberthat moment of losing ZAF, which
is probably for the best in terms of her healing, but she

(01:24:23):
knows he's one with the Force, and not only that, but his life
and the way he lived it left a mark on everyone.
So it's like he's going to live on through that.
It's so wonderful. It is an affy.
What's there to say about her? She, she is just so hopeful all
the time. I mean, we've seen her have her
moments, but like she is just sosure right now that they are all

(01:24:48):
going to make it because they have each other.
And I'm like AFY my girl. It also reminded me of Lando.
Yeah. Rise of Skywalker, I think it's
Finn or PO that asked how did you guys do it when you had
nothing? And he says we had each other
and it made me think of that. Yes, I love the comparison.

(01:25:10):
It's so true and that's like thetheme of Star Wars right?
Is like found family, hope and having each other.
It's. Beautiful.
Yeah. The strength of doing things
together. Yeah, well, we end that chapter
and move on to chapter 55, whichis really interesting because
Wreath is heading towards Aslan's cell.

(01:25:32):
I was like, oh, how is this going to go?
The tea is piping hot. Yes, and I love that Wreath is
thinking about all his experiences with the Nameless
and how it gave him more perspective on why Aslan is the
way he is, and he starts to pityAslan.
I was like, that's a good first step.

(01:25:53):
And how Reese is understanding that it's OK to acknowledge fear
and to face those fears, and howwhen you're facing those fears,
you're able to not let them ruleyou and rule your actions.
So with all these things in mind, he walks into Aslan's cell
and Aslan immediately realizes that Wreath is different.

(01:26:16):
Yep, clocks it right away. Yeah, Wreath explains what
happened on his trip to Tolis. And he's very like, this
happened and then that happened. He doesn't add any emotions to
it, which I loved. Yep.
Yes, one thing I found really interesting was when Wreath was

(01:26:37):
talking about the tomb for the ancients.
As in goes oh did the ancients speak to you and divulge their
secrets? I was like, you have been to
Tolis you asshole like. Yeah, this.
I'm proud of Wreath though. Reef comes right out and is like

(01:27:00):
was it? You Oh yeah, talking about like
the. The informant information.
Yes, totally. I was very proud of him for
coming out and just being like, you need to tell me if you are
the one who did this, Yes. And Aslan insists it wasn't him.
I don't know that I personally believe this.
I don't. It's so hard with Aslan.

(01:27:20):
Because like Reef says, oh, you could easily have pulled this
off. And Aslan's like I could have,
but he's also like. You're our greatest hope.
Well, I don't want to endanger you.
And I'm like, I know he's not being genuine.
Like, I do know that. But yeah, I also don't
necessarily think that means he doesn't actually believe in

(01:27:42):
that. So I, I don't know, does he
actually want to keep Wreaths alive, even if it's for bad
reasons, or is he just completely a fucking lie?
Well. Yeah, OK, so this next
statement, which is art, well, rather Wreath admits to Aslan
how he faced the Nameless. And Aslan is overjoyed, saying

(01:28:03):
he faced his moment of transcendence just like Aslan
did and embraced his fear. So to me this means Aslan sent
the Nameless after Wreath so that it Wreath could go through
some weird trial and have a moment of transcendence and
become just like Aslan. That makes total sense.

(01:28:24):
I never put that together, but that is 100% what he's done.
Yes. Well, and I mean, we've talked
about this, right? He thinks everything he does is
justified. So like, of course he's going to
pretend like I don't want you todie because he doesn't.
He doesn't. But that doesn't mean he didn't
set something up that could havekilled him.

(01:28:46):
Oh my God, I can't. Reef keeps clapping off though,
and I love it because he's like, actually, I'm better than he
does. He's like, I was able to fight
them without giving into fear. You are wrong about the Nameless
Which worst thing to say to Aslan right because like his
whole life is about him being right about how to defeat the

(01:29:08):
nameless supposedly and. How he's the only one who knows
how to defeat the yes. But here we have with Wreath,
who's like, not only do I now know just as much about the
nameless as maybe you do, but I also have this insight and it's
very different than the path that you were trying to put me
on. And actually speaking about Pat,
that's when Aslan is like, no, Ineed you to be on this path, the

(01:29:31):
path of the dark side. I love to.
He explains that like, having strength isn't about, you know,
giving in to fear and isolation just to prove you can withstand
it, which is where Aslan's coming from.
It's more about admitting I am afraid and I can ask for help in
that. And that living in fear is not

(01:29:52):
living at all, which we can see with Aslan.
Like it's pretty clear he's a eyeless, completely psychotic
dude with no real purpose because all he does is live in
fear. Oh I love, I love Wreath.
I love that he's made it to thispoint and then he's able to
finally be like I am not you andI will not be you.
Love it. I love it so much.

(01:30:14):
And I love that Aslan is so disturbed by this.
He's screaming at Wreath to leave and it's the first time
where Wreath looks at Aslan and realize he's just this frail old
man and pities him again. It's like, I like this.
I like that Wreath maintained his compassion towards Aslan
despite Aslan not treating him very nicely.

(01:30:37):
When he could have left this situation with Aslan just being
upset and him not saying anything and instead he was like
whatever you're searching for inthe puzzle box is not there,
your answers are inside of. Yourself.
And it's like Aww wreath You, Beautiful Angel you.
Know yeah. This next scene is where Wreath

(01:30:57):
is looking for Komak and he finds Komak in the Jedi archives
and Wreath immediately tells Komak they need to talk.
I was like, Oh no, here's another talk.
Like what is happening, So many things happening.
So Wreath admits to blaming Komak for leaving and how he put

(01:31:18):
way too much trust into Aslan and how he didn't feel ready for
all of the burdens the Jedi Order put on him.
And poor Wreath is just crying at this point about all of these
revelations and he had missed a Komak that he can't do this on
his own and needs Komak's help. Wow.
Wreath, your growth. I love it.

(01:31:40):
Just this, like the beginning ofthis was very much so like
Wreath feeling like he has to doeverything on his own and like
the weight of the Jedi Order wason his shoulders.
And in the end, it's not even him being like it's not.
It's more him saying, this is how I feel actually.
And I I can't carry that by myself.
So I like that it ends with not him deflecting that that's not

(01:32:03):
what was happening. It's him saying no, that is, I
do feel this way and I need you to help me carry it.
And I was like, this is just perfect.
It's perfect and especially Comex reaction and response.
And we talked about this in our prior episode 2 where we don't
know how COMEC would react to Reese's confessions.
And COMEC reacted in the perfectway, which was to give Wreath a

(01:32:27):
big hug and tell Wreath that he knows and that's why he he's
here. Oh my God, the emotions, George.
It's so good. What a so good.
Perfect ending to this book. Absolutely.
Yeah, this was just an amazing read.
I really, really enjoyed it. As stressed as I was and as like

(01:32:48):
emotional as this book was. Yeah, it was just such a fun
journey. I've been waiting for the Wreath
story because I love him and so I was so happy with this entire.
Book me too. Was so excited to get so many
answers about the Ptolemites andthe where the rods came from and
how they work and it's very exciting.

(01:33:10):
It is. And like, I really feel like
going forward and reading that little spark of hope that we've
gotten in this book is going to carry us through where it's
like, no matter how bad things make it and some of the things
we're about to read, I feel likeI'm going to be carrying that
hope with me now, just like, read this.
Me too. I just love how Reese's views

(01:33:32):
about fear is so similar to whatwe've seen with Buryaga and Oh
my gosh, why is my brain? Yeah, both Avar and Elzar.
So it seems like there's all these Jedi who are discovering
this like ability to embrace their fear in a great way.

(01:33:55):
And I I'm sad to see the Jedi use that it.
Was literally 100 years. So nice that they figured this
out and then forget it like 100.Years later, you know who didn't
forget? Yoda's dumb ass.
Yoda. Forever calling that man out.
I know one thing I will say thatI'm kind of bummed about is I'm

(01:34:17):
bummed that Sicaris was husked because I really want to know
how the effects of the nameless work on a force user long time
long term. And like.
Can you survive it? Like do you?
Does he continuously need to have nameless blood in order to
survive? Like he has to have husking in
him somewhere, right? Is that how he lost his eye?

(01:34:40):
Is it was hust and so Bulin had to give him a new one?
Right. I know I I loved the character
of Sicarus, so I'm glad we got that character.
It I always want more, you know,so I'm like you could have done
a whole nother boober ziggers, but I understand the point in
his death and like the place that came in the story.

(01:35:00):
I would read a whole other noveljust on stickers is crazy ass.
Me too, I would have loved to seen his before with the
brothers. Of the next.
Door and to see him like captured by Bulin and what that
torture process was like. 100%. Crazy.
Well, with that, thank you so much everyone for listening to

(01:35:22):
the end of Teams of the Namelesswith us.
This has been such a great journey and we hope you've
enjoyed this book as much as we did.
I would love to pretend that I know what we're reading next,
but I'm going to be so for real.I don't remember off the top of
my head. I think it's the one of the
audio dramas by who wrote that one is it?

(01:35:45):
Cabin, Yes, you are right. OK, TBD.
One of those audio dramas comingup next.
Yay, can't wait for that. That sounds so exciting.
Same. We haven't had an audio drama
this phase, right? Not yet.
Yes, I'm so excited. I feel like the last one was
Battle of Jetta that we did right.
That's right, yeah. And that was such a good one, so

(01:36:08):
I cannot wait. Just, well, I think there's the
audible audio dramas, those those short stories.
Of the like, I called them Halloween ones but they're not
it seems. Kind of Halloweeny.
Did they come out on Halloween last year?
They are is 1 like shadows of Starlight or no?
That's not I, I don't know. There's a, I'm sure there's the

(01:36:30):
word Starlight, There's the wordnameless.
There's the word beware, There'sthe word fear.
There's the word. Nile, that's kidding.
Fear the Starlight Nameless willbe our next.
I love it. Perfect.
So you're going to have to stay tuned for what's coming up next,
but it is probably one of the amazing audio books that is in
