Well, you may have noticed thedifferent introduction to this
episode, and it's been almosttwo years since our last episode
on the Money Myths Podcast, which was on our series that
covered inflation, which was byfar our most downloaded episodes

(00:48):
of the podcast.
But a lot has changed in thelast two years.
When I first launched the MoneyMyths Podcast three years ago, I
had just started my businessand the business was Rugged
Financial and I was doingfinancial coaching for
individuals and couples and itwas just me with a vision to

(01:09):
help people.
Well, over the last three yearsRugged Financial starting ,
the business has morphed andshifted and grown.
We're no longer known as RuggedFinancial and it's no longer
just me, and we don't even dofinancial coaching anymore.
In 2023, we went through amajor rebranding and changed the

(01:35):
company name to Biz AccountPros to better reflect what we
do, which is outsourcedaccounting services for
businesses, and the team hasgrown from it being just me to
now there's four of us and we'recontinuing to grow.
So a lot's changed the name ofthe business, the services we

(02:00):
offer that's all changed, butthe mission of helping people
still remains.
At Biz Account Pros, we addressthe problem that many business
owners find themselves in, whichis maybe they lack the
expertise or they don't have thetime that they need to manage

(02:20):
their accounting and back officefunctions of their business,
and we come in as theiroutsourced accounting partner to
help them streamline processes, get the time back that they
need and the information theyneed that is necessary to make
informed decisions that can helpdrive their business forward.

(02:41):
Our clients range from startupsto established businesses with
tens of millions of dollars inrevenue, and we're very heavy on
personal touch and usingtechnology, including AI, to
significantly improve andstreamline the back office

(03:02):
processes of businesses and turn, saving them time and giving
them better insights.
That's all I'll cover on BizAccount Pros for now, but if you
want to learn more, you can goto our website, which is
bizaccountproscom.
Now, given all that has changedover the last two years with the

(03:24):
rebranding and how our businesshas evolved, we are relaunching
the podcast.
It's no longer going to becalled Money Myths podcast,
though the old Money Mythsepisodes are still going to be
available.
Anywhere you listen to podcasts, it's going to be under this

(03:46):
new brand.
That's the first 27 episodes onthis podcast are all related to
the old Money Myths podcast andyou can also find them on our
website Now.
The podcast is now being called.
From this point forward, atleast for the foreseeable future
, is the Biz Academy podcast.

(04:08):

exciting and challenging worldof small business.
Whether you're just startingout on your business journey or
maybe you're a seasoned businessowner, we're going to aim to
bring you valuable content andfresh insights to help you

(04:30):
improve and ultimately grow yourbusiness.
For the last 18 years, I'vebeen in the world in one way or
another, of small businesses.
I've either worked in,consulted with or grown
businesses from initial idea andstartup to millions in revenue.

(04:53):
I've seen it all, or most of it.
There's always new surprises, but I've been through a lot of
what works, what doesn't work.
There's been countless lessonslearned along the way the last
nearly 20 years.
The Biz Academy podcast isgoing to cover all of these

(05:17):
lessons learned and much more.
Each week, we're going to lookto and aim to bring you content
that is relevant and helpful.
In the truth, growing yourbusiness is hard.
It will be one of the hardestthings you do.
There's sleepless nights,there's stress, there's constant

(05:39):
problems to solve.
There's vendor issues, customerissues, employee issues.
It's never ending.
There is no quick and easy wayto grow your business, despite
what you may hear and see onsocial media.
It is hard, but it can also beone of the most rewarding things

(06:01):
that you do, regardless of whatyour business does.
You get to help people solve aproblem and you get to help your
employees provide for theirfamilies.
It really doesn't get much morerewarding than that.
So we're gonna aim to bring youvaluable content each week that

(06:23):
is centered around businessownership, things that you can
do and hopefully help you growyour business.
So I hope you continue tolisten in each week as we bring
episodes looking to solveproblems inside your business.
The theme for these first fewweeks is gonna revolve around

(06:48):
actually starting a business, some lessons we've learned the
last nearly 20 years of doingthis, some helpful insights on
some specific industries that wework in that really can be
applied to any business.
But it's all gonna be gearedaround those early stages of

(07:08):
business ownership and when youfirst are starting out.
And then we're gonna dive intoseveral other topics everything
related to back office functions, investments in your business,
budgeting for your business.
We have a wide range that we'relooking to bring.
We're looking to bring in someoutside experts in different

(07:33):
industries or with differentbusinesses or different service
providers, so we can continue tobring you valuable content each
week as you go along in yourbusiness journey.
So I'd like to thank you foryour support with the old
podcast and hopefully youcontinue to listen, and I would
just like to welcome you to theBiz Academy podcast.
