Presented By Black Literature & Art Queens Network - BLAQN.org The podcast where we honor and acknowledge black womxn performers and discuss racism within Michigan Performing Venues. Two or three Mondays out of each month, I sit down and have a chat with Michigan's talented Black Womxn performers of various genres; from Actor to Burlesque, from Singer to Exotic Dancer, from Poet to Instrumentalist. In each discussion, we talk about their artistic profession and the racism, misogyny, and other discriminatory behaviors they've experienced from others and how it affects them. As an actor myself, I'm tremendously interested in art. So what a better way to build a network of Black Womxn artist, than to find out more about each one in a platform that amplifies their voices.
In this episode, Poet and Visionary + Empathy Coach, Ber-Henda Williams, chat about how her work as a poet influences her entrepreneurial life, how multilingual Black people are, and her greatest accomplishment.
