Growing up in a small Pennsylvania town with fewer than 800 residents, Bobby and Jake never realized their sleepy hometown harbored dark secrets—until they started driving down a winding gravel lane called "Shades of Death Road."

The narrow road earned its macabre name after a deadly 1922 coal miners' riot where 13 men were killed, including the local sheriff. Their bodies were unceremoniously dumped along the roadside and buried without headstones, creating fertile ground for local legends. Most famous among them: the Woman in White, a bride who was hanged from an overhanging tree by her husband after he caught her with another man.

What started as teenage thrill-seeking, driving down the haunted road late at night, turns into something entirely unexpected decades later when Bobby and Jake return to film during a lightning storm. The footage they capture on two separate phones shows what appears to be a mysterious white figure moving near the old cemetery—exactly where locals claim to see the Woman in White.

Paranormal experts David Childers (with 27 years of experience) and medium Alura join to analyze the compelling footage. Despite Jake's determined skepticism, the evidence challenges his rational explanations and opens the door to fascinating discussions about different types of spirit manifestations and how ghosts interact with our physical world.

This episode sets the stage for an incredible journey as childhood best friends—one a believer, one a skeptic—launch into exploring haunted locations across America. With plans to visit Salem's most haunted sites, abandoned prisons, and countless other paranormal hotspots, Bobby and Jake invite you to decide for yourself: Do You Believe in Ghosts?

Near and dear to our hearts.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
We grew up here, we grew up there, we used to drive
this road all the time, and bothof us individually grew up with
different lore and stories ofwhat this road represents.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
That's great.
But you're not getting out ofthis story so real stories of
what this road represents.
But you're not getting out ofthis story so real quick.
I want to set the tone herebefore we get going.

So you're saying you've neverhad a ghost encounter, correct?
No, personally, yes, you'vealready changed it.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
So you're saying you've never had it no no,
Personally never had a ghostexperience or like if I've ever
been on my own or like in anarea where you think you're
susceptible experience andthat's supernatural.
I've never had that experienceindividually by myself.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
No, okay, rue, you want to come over here, maybe a
little bit, I mean.
So how do we do this here?
Do I just have jake?
Should I just have jake explainhimself because you were there?
Shall I storytell?
Should you storytell real quick?
I think you should storytell itbecause everyone in the room
and everyone watching right nowI think you've had the crazy.
We have a ghost expert comingon the show today.
I feel like there's crazierstories than mine.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
It's going to shit out of me what I experienced.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
You're going to take too long.
No, no, no, I can shorten it up.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Jake went to an insane asylum.
Jake went to an insane asylum.
I'm just going to fact check it.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
We're going to run this show An abandoned, insane
asylum from the 1920s was ownedby this family and blah, blah,
blah.
Okay, great.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
You went there, you were with two other people, I
was with two other people.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
It was a friend and he was with his girlfriend.
Yes, she had a seizure, okay, inside the same asylum.
Yeah, inside the same asylum, okay, perfect, while you were
there, was she?
Okay, she was okay after shehad the seizure, okay, that's
the craziest shit You'relaughing.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
What the fuck?
What's that?
Yeah, okay, yeah, no, no,that's getting her.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
A brick flew out of the wall and then she had the
seizure, okay, and then youwalked down a hall, correct?

Speaker 1 (03:44):
We walked down a stairwell.
Yeah, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
It goes down to the incineration room.
Okay, and you felt like you sawa figure.
When we got into theincineration room, the air felt
dense.
You could see the incineratorwith the door open.
It was pretty creepy.
And then we entered through adoorway that led to this very
long hallway that was abouteight by like, about eight feet
wide and it probably stretchedfor about 50 to 60 feet, and it

(04:07):
was completely bare and therewas nothing inside.
But at the end of the hallwayit was a dead-end wall and we
heard a very loud noise and weall freaked and we started
running the opposite direction, where there was a doorway to go
back upstairs.
And then, a very brief moment,I turned around out of curiosity
.
While I was running and I couldhave sworn I saw a shadowy
figure at the end of the hallwaywith the light that we're using

(04:30):
, because at the time we did nothave smartphones and so we were
using actual flashlights.
Now, granted, it was in a stateof chaos.
I could have seen anything atthat given moment.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
We're not doing all this.
No, no, no.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
We're getting ready to through this little hole in
the doorway, because the doorwaywas stuck into the main hallway
of the, the, the ground flarefloor area.
And then my friend crawlsthrough the hole of the door and
then all of a sudden one of theceiling industrial lights fall
from the ceiling right on top ofthem, it shatters, he freaks
out, I freak out, girl freaksout, and then we run out the

(05:12):
building because we were scaredand he doesn't believe in ghosts
.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Hey, jayven, you ready, let's do this okay we're
kicking it let's do it ready.
Are you ready, jayven?

Speaker 4 (05:21):
jAN, you got one job to do this, are you?

Speaker 1 (05:23):
ready.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Whatever, are you ready?
Yeah, are you ready.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Let's do this shit, episode one.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Episode one Shades of Death.
Jvan JVAN, are you ready?
Can we take a moment?

Speaker 1 (05:34):
to look at this figure, Dude.
You look way too intense.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Okay, this is your big moment, JVAN.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
You got this.
Believe in you, wow, all right.
Episode one from black craftproductions comes a journey into
the unknown.

Hosted by Bobby Blackcraft andJake Simons, where haunted tales

(06:13):
and paranormal encounterscollide.
Let the session begin in six,six, six, five, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Blackraft Yep, we're back.
Yep, feels good to be back.
Yep, we got a new set.
Yep, do you believe in ghosts?
Nope, it's so crazy to me thatwe're going to go launch a ghost
hunting podcast.
You and I have grown uptogether.

(06:48):
We've experienced the craziestshit together over the years.
Very true, right, yeah, right, and you just admitted it right
there.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
I did.
I'm very confident about it,too, that you believe in ghosts.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
No, I don't, this show is going to suck.
I don't think it's going toghosts.
No, I don't, this show's goingto suck.
This season's going to suck.
This season is actually goingto suck.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
No, this is not a blanket statement, though I
would like to address that Ithink there's more than meets
the eye and that everything tosome degree can be rationalized
through some sort of objectivelens.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
You did just yeah, it's all good.
Okay, we're live, we're episodeone.
I'm excited.
Uh, first and foremost, I wantto shout out, uh, jason, for
building this amazing set here, this is this is something
special.
Uh, I don't even have words forit.
I don't even know if video doesjustice no, it doesn't do
justice.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
If you were here in person, you would be pretty
blown away.
And, by the way, jason is alsoresponsible for our salem
flagship store.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Yeah, store, yeah, and the haunted house and the
haunted house there, so the guyis a very talented artist, which
Salem is going to be our secondepisode.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Oh, I cannot wait for that episode.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
That's a fucking crazy one, but we're here, we're
talking Shades of Death, avella, pennsylvania.
This one, like I said, is verynear and dear to you and I and I
did just find out something too.
Well, fuck even what we justfound out.
How about the video footagewhich you guys are all about to
see here in a little bit?
Yep.
So, with that video footage,we're not gonna give away too
much here, because we got a lotto get through.

(08:14):
Yeah, you still don't believein ghosts after that, honestly,
genuinely, with the footagewe're about to show, you don.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
You don't believe.
Honestly, when I look at thevideo, I believe it can be
explained.
I look at the video and Ibelieve it's a matter of
perception, because what I seeis the video is kind of playing
tricks on us, making us thinkit's one thing when reality is
something else.
Despite it being on twodifferent cameras, I still think
there's an explanation for it.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Two different cameras , two different angles, two
different phones.
You know the good news.
What's the good news?
So we're going to give a littlerundown of what people can
expect from.
Do you Believe?
In Ghosts, but real quick wegot ghost experts that will be
joining us today on the show andthey've had the videos and they
break it down for us, so we'llsee.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
I got some questions.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
All right, that's fair Well you're going to be
able to get them all answered, jake, so what can everyone look
forward to here?

Speaker 3 (09:03):
So we're going to be looking into the haunted
histories of a lot of differenttowns in America and the US.
We're going to do ghost stories.
We're going to do apparitions, possessions, demonic entities,
moving options pretty much likecreepy voices in the ether that
we can't explain.
We're also going to do liveepisodes throughout the year at
these haunted locations.
We will have that list for youthroughout the season.

(09:24):
It's going to be a fun.
Oh, it's going to be a fun year.
That's actually the part I'mreally looking forward to the
podcast, I think on that realquick to chime in on.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
That is probably this year is going to.
We're probably going to followa lot of the Danny Wimmer
Presents festivals.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
I know I'm excited for that.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
So Louder Than temple .

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Aftershock incarceration incarceration,
which which is going to be a bigone for us which I've already
ghost hunted.
That one I'm not even gonna godown that I didn't do the, but I
did the tour and it was a veryenjoyable tour.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
I got ghost hunted and I got touched no, you did I
bro you got all you got touched.
I got touched on my back.
Okay, I'm not gonna talk.
See, this is how we getderailed.
So those are probably going tobe some of the locations we'll
be at.
Yeah, probably plan for anothersalem event, because we did do
ghost hunting in salem with the666 club there's also just a lot
of content in salem too.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
That's not just like one location.
There's so many places we cancheck out in salem that has so
much rich history I'm reallylooking forward to getting there
.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
So.
So that's probably where theghost hunting stuff, the live
episodes, will be, where youknow patreon subscribers will be
able to join us and stuff likethat.
But sorry, go ahead, keep going.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Oh no, that's perfectly fine.
We're also going to have gueststars.
Bob, you have some input on theguest stars?

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Our first guest is actually going to be
ex-emotionless and white JoshBalls.
I love Josh Balls.
Josh Balls is in the house.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
I make music with that fool you do.
I love that guy.
We, we're also going to dosomething that we have not done
before on any podcast.
We're going to do a ghosthunter hotline which we're going
to give the Patreon members anopportunity to call in and tell
their stories and then we have adiscussion with them and we try
to dissect it and see whatreally happened.
Is it actual ghosts or is itjust perception of the mind?

Speaker 1 (11:00):
I'm really excited for that.
I'm really excited for that too.
I just got a crazy flash likeof the future.
You're going to be reallyannoying on this show.
You're going to piss me off alot on the show.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
Dude, I already piss you off on a day to day basis.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
I know you're going to piss me off even a lot more
because you're going to beskeptic on fucking it.
Okay, can we make a pact rightnow, real quick, you promise?
I will own up to it, and I'llask some questions about it too,
right after as well this is anexplanation to everything we're
going to cover murders accidentsand a big part of the show.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
It's not part of the theme, but it's a big part for
what Bobby stands for and forwhat the brand stands for.
We're also doing unsigned bandmusic during the show.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
That'll be at the end unsigned band music during the
show That'll be at the end.
Remember Beavis and Butthead?
You guys remember Beavis andButthead how they would show the
music video.
Yeah, I love that.
So at the end of every show I'mgoing to curate one of my
favorite unsigned bands, becauseI used to have one of the
biggest unsigned band musicshows on Twitch on Amazon.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
It was massive.
What three, four years ago?
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
RIP.
We're going to make that happenagain, yeah, but so that is
something else that we will haveon the show, excited Well, now
that we've gone over what theshow is pretty much going to
cover.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
We're going to talk a little bit about Avella first.
So me and Bobby are childhoodbest friends.
We grew up, we've known eachother our whole lives.
He's lived five minutes downthe road from me and vice versa,
and the thing about Avella isthat one it started around the
1800s early 1800s it wasoriginally like, originated with
the Iroquois and Shawnee tribe, and before that time, I would

(12:35):
say, irish, scottish settlersand also German settlers
inhabited the area of Avella,pennsylvania.
When they came in it wascurrently Washington County and
then eventually became a verysuccessful coal mining town.
So on top of there being aNative American land, it turned
into a coal mining business.
It became a very successfulsmall town.
We also have some veryimportant railroad tracks going

(12:58):
through the town as well.
There's a lot of rich, prettymuch blue-collar work in our
town.
Most of the families thatprobably currently live there
today have some sort of originto the families that lived here
in the past couple hundred years.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
My family does my family too as well, and as a
dissectist, my family plays arole on Shades of Death.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Oh, so Bobby did tell me this story recently that
he's going to tell shortly on.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
I just found this out , by the way.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
That's what's blowing my mind.
And then we did actually aproof check of it and it's
actually a real occurrence thattook place in our town,
specifically on Shades of DeathRoad.
But yeah, Avella has prettymuch remained between 750 to 800
in population.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
I don't think it's planning on getting any bigger
any time soon.
No, I mean we graduate.
I mean, bro, you and I graduate.
With what?

Speaker 3 (13:43):
60 kids 60 kids.
Bobby was like at the bottom.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
What the fuck?
What the fuck?
We're going to start the showoff saying I have a double chin
and I graduated at the bottom.
He scraped by Jake's a bottom,Anyway go on.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Sorry, no, we're not.
No, no.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
It's no.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
We're breaking the fifth wall.
The reason I brought that up?
Because now look where he's at.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Look where you're at now.
Fourth wall, sorry, Fourth wall.
The fifth wall.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Yeah, look where you're at now, proving that you
can go against the type.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Well, and I said it, Look where you're at now.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Yeah, look where.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
I'm at two years out.
It doesn't matter where Igraduated bad, okay, no, it's
not.
This show's not gonna be goodanother.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Really it's not.
It's gonna be wonderful.
Another really cool thing, another cool feature about the
town that we grew up in.
This is a place calledmetacroft rock shelter, and it's
literally the oldest whatmuseum it's like the oldest
civilization of human yeah, sothere's literally artifacts
dating back 16 000 years at thismuseum.
You would never know this placeexists in our hometown.
It was about what?
Two miles into the woods behindmy house.

(14:44):
We used to go there on fieldtrips, dude, they had a
wonderful gift shop.
They had that wood thing withthe cup.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Jake, I gotta know something.
Jake, I gotta know something.
Do you believe in dinosaurs?
Do I believe in?
Yeah, of course.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Okay, just making sure.
Wait what no, I was justwondering some shit.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
I just had to, that's a very impulsive thought.
Sorry.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
Anyways, really cool location, but also kind of like
showcases that it was also anIndian reservation before
settlers came in A lot ofhistory there, a lot of history
there, a lot of history in thetown.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
So yeah, there's some spooky stuff that has Dude, and
not to mention we're talkingspooky stuff of our hometown,
yeah, Some of the One of thebiggest horror movies ever was
filmed in our town.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
This is a very big part of it.
Part of it, uh so if anybody'sfamiliar with the original uh
night of the living dead.
It was actually filmed 10minutes for me and bobby's house
.
Um, it's pretty legendary.
It's technically the housewhere they filmed the house and
I used to drive past it everyday it was in west middletown,
very close by.
You can literally go down thesteep hill and if you look,
quick glance, you get like maybea second to glance at it.
There's a house all the way, like past this, like little open

(15:47):
hill and, you know, encompassedby trees.
That's the house where, nightof the living dead, george
romero, has actually used theirtown for multiple locations.
I didn't know that.
Yeah, he has.
You know, the little railroad,um, the railroad log cabin, oh
yeah yeah, he filmed there too,as well and also uh, there's a
random movie that I looked up.
Julianne Moore starred in it.

(16:07):
They did a lot of heavy filmingin our town as well.
I think the movie was calledSix Souls, but I heard it's not
that great.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
I feel like Rotten Tomato wasn't good for that one
yeah the Rotten Tomato wasn'tgood for that, which is fine.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
It was filmed in our town.
What do you expect?
Expect?

Speaker 1 (16:20):
but I think it's cool to set the tone for for our
town, because it is one of thosetowns that I'm very grateful to
be from, oh me too right, absolutely we always joke.
We say it's like the movie thevillage it really is like the.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
It is a village.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Our population's so tiny it's so tiny, but um we
don't even have a stoplight youknow, living out here in la
makes you like so grateful to befrom there, you know absolutely
, it's also a culture shock, Imean it is you.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
You go from a little place like avella.
It's really.
I can see why it's easy to getstuck in a little bubble like
that it is it's comforting, it'ssafe.
You know, it's a great place toraise a family and stuff like
that.
So when you venture out, bobbyyou were the first to venture
out of our class he he startedtouring as soon as outside of
graduation.
I moved out here when I was 27years old and it's just like
night and day.

(17:05):
It's a completely differentexperience.
But I will tell you this everytime we go home do we not love
it?

Speaker 1 (17:09):
yeah, I've, I've really, uh, as I've got older
I'm 36 now I've really grown tolove that town and I actually
it's so funny, dude as you know13 years of black craft now
going back home.
A my daughter lives there, sogoing back to see her, there's
no better feeling in the world, doesn't matter where that is,
it'll be the best feeling.
But uh, now, when I used tolike back in the day, I used to

(17:30):
like run from that place, right.
I don't know what it was.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
It was like anxiety, fear to like I did right from
that place, you know, yeah, I Iunderstand that feeling and uh,
I would run from that place andI never felt inspired there.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
I always felt just like I need to get the fuck out
oh yeah and then now it's like,as you know, we're getting older
, life's changing so much.
It's like going back there.
I'm actually more inspired and Iactually will go there see my
daughter and some of the bestwork to be.
I'll be 100 honest you, thiswhole concept that I created
here with this show.
It came me sitting in a vella,so I don't know.

(18:02):
It was weird because because Idrove down Shades of Death and I
was like man.
It was a couple years ago.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
No, no, no, I'm saying just recently.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Oh yeah, the video that we're about to show you all
here where Jake I don't knowhow he's going to do this I'll
justify it.
To paint the picture of a Vela.
This is a place where, whenit's fall time, it it's the best
place where, when it's falltime it's the best place in the
world to be, and then, when it'sa month after fall time, it's
the ugly.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
It's literally the ugly, it's just all brown.
Grass is brown, trees are brown.
It's the most depressing shitIf you've ever seen the movie
Blair Witch that's literallywhat we grew up in Just brown,
depressing.
Great springtime, thoughAbsolutely Everything's lush and
green and one thing real quickbefore we really dive down.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
this here is we're going to talk about
manifestation.
Yep, and I want to put it outto the universe right now,
because you put the Blair Witchout into the universe, right now
.
When this becomes reallysuccessful.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
And it will.
It's on camera.
We can't fuck this up now.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
We're paper trailing right now.
I want to have Black.
If you notice, at the beginningof the show I said Blackcraft
Productions presents.
Do you Believe in Ghosts?
I love that Because, BlackcraftProductions, we're going to go
do movies, we're going to go dohorror movies and we're going to
compete with A24.
That's the goal Compete with.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
A24.
That's the goal.
I love how bold that statementis.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
It's a bold statement , but we is this little, almost
kind of like a one-lane roadgravel.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
I mean, it's a, it is a one lane narrow windy and
it's pretty much been aroundsince like the turn of the
century, the 19th, like 18th,20th century, and this road is

(19:38):
easy to miss.
Um, it's kind of out of the way.
You have to like literally gosearch for it if you want to
take a drive down memory lanethere.
Um, it's kind of out of the way.
You have to like literally gosearch for it if you want to
take a drive down memory lanethere.
But it's known for this reallyjust gnarly looking signpost
that's vertical and it saysshades of dust on the and I
actually posted this on thepatreon of what the sign looks
like really creepy.

(19:59):
You know what you're gettingyourself into when you take a
ride down this road and and thatsign always gets stolen.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Quit stealing the fucking sign.
Quit stealing the sign.
Yeah, they keep stealing thesign too.
Stop it, Knock it off.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
It really upsets me because that's literally the
marker for such a cool history.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Kind of want to steal the sign.
I know right, put it on, set itwould look good.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
But what's really cool about this road at night
listen to like the cool?
This is when we discovered alot.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
The coolest music we've ever discovered, that
that's literally why I thoughtit's special to do the ghost
hunting, go do the ghoststorytelling and always have an
unsigned ban at the end, becausethis is how you and I would
always discover bands oh,absolutely, this was before
spotify, before anything.
I mean, this is fucking, Idon't know.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
2004 drive my little sunfi pontiac sunfire with the
sunroof.
I was so proud of that sunroof,we still had the cds and shit,
yeah, but uh, it pretty much wasthis thick forest care uh,
canopy.
So before they started cuttingback all the trees over the road
for hazard purposes, there usedto be this really cool hangover
of the trees that created thisvery sleepy, hollow vibe.

(21:06):
Very made it very ominous, verycool, and it was technically
considered a dangerous terrainbecause there is a steep drop
off to the left of the road whenyou're driving down it and then
it's a hill on the other side.
Um, what's really interestingabout this road despite the fact
that it's called shades ofdeath, because that's a fucking
dope ass road, uh, name rightthere is that there's so much

(21:28):
lore attached to it and it thelore varies on who you talk to
in town, and I grew up with astory called the woman in white.
That's the.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
That's the most famous.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
That's the most famous one, I know too yeah, and
I actually wrote out a little,a little excerpt for that, so
you guys have an idea of whatthe lore is for that.
But before we go into the ghosthappenings of it, I actually
want to talk about what hasoccurred on this road, like
factually occurred in the past.
And, bob, you have some inputon this and this is some of the
most recent information youactually learned about this road

(21:58):
, I mean it's like mybloodline's tied to the road.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Your bloodline's tied to the road, which is crazy
which is like insane, becauseI've always I don't know this
one's wild.
Yeah.
So I was telling my mom thatJake and I were going to do the
first episode on Shades of Death.
Yep, and she's like that'scrazy, because I mean, statue of
Limitations is passed.
Now we good on Statue ofLimitations.
How, over 100 years?

Speaker 3 (22:26):
huh, it's over 100, we good, I mean it's 19, so it
they can't come get me, can theyokay it?

Speaker 1 (22:29):
took place back in 1922, okay, 1922.
So this would be like my greatgreat, what great uncle probably
great, how many greats is thatat least three greats, but yeah,
two or three greats, two, twoor three greats, yeah and uh, he
actually shot and killed.
There was a riot going on,there was a cliff going on,
there was a cliff, cliff, town, mine right.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
It was called the clifton mine right.
Clifton mine right.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
I've never even heard of this.
So my great, great great uncleshot and killed the sheriff.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
Don't, don't, don't do it, but he did not kill the
deputy.
Yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, I gotit.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
Uh, yeah, yeah but he told me the show sucks this
season.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
this shit's not going to work.
I know it's not going to work, you're right.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
We kept saying about the Twitch show and it actually
worked anyway.
So he shot and killed thesheriff at this riot.
And how many other coal minersend up dying?
There's a lot of people thatdied at this riot.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
So it was the coal operators versus the union
organizers.
That's when the right occurred, and this actually took place
close to Cliftonville, you know,uh, west Virginia, but shades
of death is tied to this Right.
So 13 men were killed, including the sheriff, hh Duval
Uh, it was pretty, he was theonly Brooke County sheriff
killed in action.
And then there were 78 minorsindicated for first degree

(23:42):
murder and then 138 indicted forconspiracy.
So this was a like apremeditated type attack, a riot
, and from what I've gatheredright here, it says the historic
injunction issued 45convictions in one grand jury
term, which was a naturalnational record at the time.
So this was a national recordthat occurred in our hometown.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
And yeah, it's near Wellsburg, yeah, and we should,
and we should preface that where, like West Virginia is right on
.
We grew up like in thattri-state area where, where
Avella is, you could be in WestVirginia in one minute.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
So you can go from Pennsylvania, west Virginia,
ohio in a matter of 20 minutes.
Yeah, but you could be in West.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Virginia, cause we're talking about West Virginia,
where it was.
That's right across the stateline, right there.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
So this is what was interesting about what you told
me.
So the reason why Shades ofDeath plays a role in this is
apparently the 16 or the 13 menthat were killed.
Their bodies were actuallydumped on the side of Shades of
Death Road, which I find veryinteresting.
So this is pretty much wherethe term shades of death
originated from.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Cause they were buried on the side with no, with
no headstones or anything.
I heard they were at leastburied on the side of the road,
but no one put headstones oranything.
Yeah, which is crazy.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
That's really cool.
Um, so obviously that's wherethe road gets his name body dump
on the side of the road, andthen there we're going to
include that's in a factualevent, and then we're going to
talk about a story that tookplace on the road to.
It's called the woman in rightand a woman in white, and this
is the story that me and bobbygrew up with and a couple other
friends that you know we grew upas with as well I mean, that's

(25:14):
the story everyone really knowsyeah, I feel like.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
That's like if you lived in a velo.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
That's the, that's what you see on the road and
it's entirely correlated withthis video we're going to be
discussing here shortly too aswell, because there is a
parallel.
I'm going to tell a littlestory about the woman right, so
people can be on board exactlywhat to expect.
So a woman back in turn of the20th century, specifically the
1920s, was married to an Irishsettler who worked the coal

(25:39):
mines in the area of Avella, pennsylvania.
His days were long while hiswife tended to their home in the
wooded area of the town.
One day the man falls sick andleaves the coal mines early to
go home only to discover anotherman in bed with his wife.
Enraged by this discovery, thehusband grabs his gun and shoots
the man to death as the wifewatches in horror.

(26:00):
The man scorns his wife to stayin bed with the dead body of her
illicit lover all night as hestared quietly in the shadows of
the room.
Dawn approaches and the husbandsays put on your wedding dress,
blindfolds her and takes hiswife to the hanging trees that
lie over Shades of Death In themiddle of the road.
The husband puts a rope aroundher neck and throws it over one

(26:23):
of the hanging limbs of theominous trees and pulls the
husband, leaves her hangingthere for the travelers of the
road to see and pretty much ahorrible outcome and also
representation of how adulterywas handled back in the day too
as well.
But yeah, so pretty much theghost story.
That was the lore, and theghost story is that sometimes,
when people drive down shades ofa night, you may see the

(26:43):
apparition of the lady wanderingthe woods or even seeing her
still hanging I saw her, we gother on camera, jake's got her on
camera.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
It's the craziest shit.
I, I'm gonna be honest, we'vedriven down that road thousands
of times.
I've never seen that.
I, I've, never, I've, I've, Ido.
You definitely get feelingsuh-huh, you in in one thing to
point out yeah is that graveyardand church is at the end of the
road at the beginning or start, depending on which entrance you
come in.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
Yeah, uh, I mean, the vibes there are insane it is
insane and actually I have astory to uh add on, here we go
as well, so this could be acrazy ghost story one night it
was me, bobby, and anotherfriend driving my awesome little
Pontiac Sunfire.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
I love that car.
It was a nice car.
It was a great car.
It was a great car.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Great fuel economy too as well.
We were driving down the roadat night and Bobby says you know
what?
We should stop in the middle ofthe road and see if we can hear
anything in the middle of thewoods, turn all the lights off.
Turn all the lights off and seeif we can like hear anything in
the middle.
Turn all the lights off.
Turn all the lights off and seeif we can experience anything,

(27:50):
because we always heard aboutshades of death in its past and
we thought maybe we couldexperience something in the
middle of the night.
It was like 2 am.
We would start driving at like12 30 at night and not be back
to our houses till like 4 amthink about this shit.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
You and I were like the og ghost hunters.
We were, we were doing thisshit.
You and I would just you knowwe we had no money.
Then we would all pitch in likefive bucks, be like, fill up
your tank, bro.
Yep, because you were.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
You're older than me, so you can drive so cheap, then
we could literally drive allnight, and that's what we do we
drive around and go ghosthunting.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
We try to find stuff.
We would always try to seestuff.
So this night I remember likeit was yesterday.
This is pretty fucked up, yeahthis is not right.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
It's cruel what you did.
This is cruel uh, so I wasdriving.
Uh, I stopped the car, turn offthe lights, I get out of the
car they're getting out of thecar too and I start walking
forward and it's completelypitch black and I assume that
they're right behind me.
I'm probably about 30 or 40feet like ahead of the car, just
like trying to hear things out,and all of a sudden I hear two

(28:43):
of the car doors shut and I lookbehind me, the headlights shine
right on me.
Tim, who is with us, gets inthe driver's seat, turns on the
car and literally drives off.
We left Jake, left me, in themiddle of the road, of a road
called Shades of Death, of allplaces.

(29:04):
And we didn't leave you for liketwo minutes.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
You didn't leave me for two minutes, you left me
there for about 15 minutes.
It was fucked up, so I'mfreaking out.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
And this was like before the smartphone era.
So I had no, I don't even knowif we had phones.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
I had a flip phone.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
I had a T-Mobile flip phone and texting costs you
money every time you textedsomeone.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
But even in that moment when we left you which I
admit it's fucked up and I'mvery sorry for that I regret
that in life.
No, you're not.
You're not sorry at all.
I would do it again to you at36.
Yeah, go ahead.
No, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
So what I never told Bobby, because it freaked me out
.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
Oh, here we go.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
So while they were gone, I remember just waiting
for headlights to come around, just waiting for them to come
back, and it felt like aneternity.
So I ended up taking a seat inthe middle of the road.
Oh shit, I'm just sitting inthe middle of the road because
I'm freaking out and I justremember hearing sound effects
in the woods right and there's alot of deer.
There's a lot of deer in thearea.

(29:57):
A lot of wildlife, a lot ofwildlife, so it can be easily
were occurring.
It sounded like there wasfootsteps happening in the
middle of the woods and theywere coming closer to me.
It didn't sound like animalsounds, it sounded like actual
footsteps and it was reallyquiet and there was like no

(30:22):
breeze.
It was like dead air.
It was the weirdest thing ever.
It was just dead, stagnant air, super quiet, and then very
random little branches breakhere there and then I random
little Branches break here thereand then I Heard these
footsteps and I startedpanicking.
My heart rate is going Up.
I'm feel like my I'm actuallygetting Goosebumps just talking
about it and Then, as soon as Istart getting peak Like anxiety,

(30:44):
all of a sudden, these Assholes.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Flying around the corner.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Driving right at me.
I pop up from my from sittingon the ground and I'm just
waving at them.
I'm pissed off.
I'm pretty sure I was mothereffing them, but they had the
windows down, tim's going like, yeah, that's funny, uh, but that
was a very creepy experiencebecause at the time we knew
about the lore and we knew thisroad had a pretty interesting

(31:12):
pass and I felt like I'm notgoing to say what I was
experienced with supernatural, because I know the mind can play
tricks on you when you'reyou're in a state of survival
and you're a little bit scared, but I thought it was interesting
that it sounded like footstepsto me.
That is interesting.
Um, but you never told me this,I never told you that part.
They obviously remember thepart where they abandoned me.
So, yeah, interesting but.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
I always thought that was interesting it is
interesting, and the otherinteresting thing about shades
of death to me is the history ofit.
But the there's so many peoplethat have uh seen the lady in
white right oh yeah, the womanin white it's.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
It's like a thing there's multiple accounts of
people witnessing that they sawa woman in white I don't have
facebook or anything like that, but I I was like you know what?

Speaker 1 (31:52):
I'm gonna start searching, like what was you
were hearing for this episode?
Yeah, and I came across.
I came across a facebook group.
It's like what's going on inwashington, pa, or washington
county, people are interestedand I clicked it and I clicked
it and I started reading it alland it's funny because of, like
I said, I am not on Facebook forthis exact reason, but every

(32:14):
older woman that looks like theygo to Joanne Fabrics has a
comment on there or is friendswith my mom or friends with your
mom.
But the crazy part is there waslike over 200 comments about
Shades of Death and the craziestpart about it to me was there
was people on there talkingabout they've seen the woman in
white which we're about to showyou.
This video, and I'm calling theghost expert, david childers,
is coming on I'm gonna ask himsome questions david's coming on

(32:36):
here in a minute.
You might know him from travelchannel.
He's been on a lot of shows.
He did our haunt in salem.
He's done a lot of great shit,so he's very looking forward to
meeting.
He's very credible and he alsosniffs out bullshit.
He's not gonna just be like oh,he's got a lot of credibility.
But when I was in this Facebookgroup it was interesting.
I saw like a Aunt Debbie, Ithink her name would be like.

Speaker 4 (32:56):
Aunt Debbie.
She shops at.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Joanne Fabrics, you know what I mean.
Like she's doing her shit.
I feel like Aunt Debbie don'tlie, right?
Aunt Debbie was like man, no,no, aunt Debbie could be lying
about some shit.
Don't get her political andshit.
But Aunt Debbie, you know, don't be talking to Aunt Debbie
about religion or politics.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
We're not going to talk about Aunt Debbie like that
.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
But Aunt Debbie, I feel like doesn't fuck with the
supernatural right Like an older.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
No one named Debbie fucks with the supernatural.

Speaker 4 (33:22):
Aunt Debbie's not fucking with this.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
But the comments that I kept seeing were oh, I was on
that road and my car stalled.
Oh, I was on that road and mycar stalled.
Never had car trouble in mylife, my car died.
And it's just funny.
I mean, we've never had thatexperience.
No, we haven't.
But then the other commentswere I've seen a lady in white
in the cemetery.
That was some of the comments, and I was like, wow, that's
crazy, because we got a video.
We got a video that I feel likewe've been talking about this

(33:48):
damn video.
I feel like we show the videowe're gonna, we're gonna run the
video here, so you're gonna seeit.
So, all right, the video we'reabout to show, jake, can you
pull it up also so we can look?

Speaker 3 (33:57):
at this together here .

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Absolutely, I'm gonna get, I'm gonna get, uh, I'm
gonna get our ghost man on theon the line here in a minute
here we're gonna do the onewhere we keep on repeating the
image.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
You know, it keeps on going reverse and forward,
reverse, reverse and forward.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
So we're going to start with that image first.
So I captured this image you'reabout to see.
This is his phone, this is myphone.
Now I want to lay the land here, so we're on Shades of Death.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
It's rainy.
It was actually really freakingcool.
You could see the lightning inthe background.
It was like a movie scene.
It was the perfect night to goon a night drive.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
It really was.
So the first video we're goingto show is the video I captured
and I have it playing forwardand then in reverse.
I slow it down for you, soit'll be right here, but let's
see it real quick.
All right, let's play it.
Let's run it.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
All right, I'm playing it right now.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Okay, can I look to the middle of the screen?
Yep, to the left a little iswhere you'll capture it, okay.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
I see multiple.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Look where the church is, and then there's a white
figure right there.
I mean it's right there, you seeit.
I mean, you see it plain as day.
There it is, let us know.
Comment down below Okay, let usknow if you see the figure.
Okay, Take your time, go backand forth.
When you look at this, does itlook like the figure is moving?

(35:14):
Of course it is.
It is walking.
It is walking from behind thechurch.
It is, it is, it is moving andI'm gonna play it over again.
You can play it over again.
Slow it down, take our timeright now, take your time right
now.
Everyone pour some black craftcoffee.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
Okay.
So because we're in a movingvehicle, I feel like the image
is still.
I feel like the white figure isactually standing still.
I don't think it's actuallywalking or moving okay, that's
fine, you're not a ghost expert.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
We're gonna dial one in here in a minute, okay, now
now?
G willikers what the fuck is ascooby-doo?
G willikers dag, nabbit thefuck.
G willikers the fuck boy youare an innocent boy, not that
innocent.
Now um show your video okay nowagain.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
This is two angles.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
This is two angles.
This is two angles.
Right this is my phone.
Everyone that's on set herethat has the video is like
they're agreeing with me thatthey see it.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
All right, I am pressing play right now.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Now this is angle two .
Now you didn't capture it asgood.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
You captured the lightning really good Right
there yeah there it is, butthere middle, yeah, there it is.
But like I said, I think it's asteel white figure.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
Oh dude, that lightning in the background is
so sick it's crazy.
Okay, you got what you think.
You got what you think.
Here I'm gonna look at that yougot what you think I gotta I
gotta dial in the ghost experthere we got.
We got david coming on and wegot alora coming on, who is a
medium also.
So this is great.
They both have seen the video.
You could not know all you wantman, hold on, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Hey, it is what it is .
It looks like a cement pole.
A cement pole Like a white,painted white.
I just yeah, I got somequestions.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Okay, well, we're going to get them answered, so
bear with me here, keep watchingthe video I'm going to get
David and Allura on.

Speaker 3 (36:55):
I didn't know we were going to get Allura today, so
that's great.
And what I'm going to do, too,as well, is I'm going to post
this for our Patreon members, because I would really like to
get their input as well.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
Oh, I like that.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
So I'm going to post this on the Patreon after we had
recorded and that we bothcaught the same thing.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
But I will say I purposely went there because I
had a vibe that night.
I was like man, the lightning'shitting different, the vibe
feels different, Everything like, and we were already talking
about ghost story shit.
Before this too, we were likebuilding up to it, yeah, but
like something told me to go andI went.
Oh down shades of death, yeah, that night.
That's why we went.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
Yeah, I know, that's why we went.
I was like I need to go.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
Something's telling me to go.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
I know and I went.
I don't think that's the ladyin white.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
The ghost called me and said come, Is there proof
that she was buried in thecemetery?
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
Oh, we need sued for that one we're going to get the
Ghost.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
There's only one Ghostbuster, and it's Jake, yeah
, I'm busting.
What the fuck you can't saythat.
You cannot say that on the show.
Jake, we're trying to getsponsors and shit.
Hey, also real quick here, while we're getting David and
Laura on, make sure you go leaveus some five-star reviews.
Oh, I would apple spotify ifyou're watching us on youtube.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
Thank you yeah, any comments about how amazing of a
co-host I am?

Speaker 1 (38:16):
that would be wonderful yeah, that ain't, that
ain't happening.
Okay, that ain't happeninganyways.
Uh, let me get david on hereall right one second I'm waiting
I'm looking at it right now.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
I I feel like I'm going to ask him some questions
and I want him to explain to me.
You got notes.
I'm not confident.
No, I don't need notes, I amsure.
Okay, well, what do you thinkit is?
I think it's not a person.
I don't think it's a person.
I think it's something that wejust don't know, until we drive
there again during the daytimeand I think we can determine if

(38:45):
there's actually something whitesticking up from the ground.
So next time we do a visit in aVela PA you don't know how
ghosts work.
I do know how ghosts work.
I'm saying that if we go thereduring the daytime and there's
still a white figure in themiddle of that cemetery right
there and it doesn't happen tobe a person, it happens to be
something else I'll go FaceTimesomeone back home right now that
is not there.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
Okay, there's not a white figure just standing there
and whatever, whatever.
This season is going to be long.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
I am pissed off.
I'm convinced that there isnothing interesting here.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
David, are you here?
Let me see, let's see if we canget David on the line.
David, you here?

Speaker 2 (39:23):
Yeah, there he is.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
David, how are you?
Do you hear us?
You got us okay.
Yeah, Okay, David, you aresitting here with.
Well.
First and foremost, David, thanks for doing.
The show Is Allura here.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Yes, allura is right here.
Hello, allura, hello.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Hello, hello, hello, hello.
We're just doing audio, soyou're not even on video.
It's all good, but it's nice tosee your guys' beautiful faces.
I like it.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
Nice to see you, it's also nice meeting you guys both
too, as well.
I'm very excited to talk to youguys.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
So I'm very grateful to have you guys a part of this
new journey of BlackCraft.
I got to meet both of you atour 666 Club event in Salem
Massachusetts.
That was in February actuallyis when that went down and I got
to meet both of you.
Uh, both amazing people.
Uh, I recognized david rightaway.
I was like man, I know you fromsomething he's like yeah, yeah,
david's a real humble guy.
He's like yeah, yeah, yeah,yeah.

(40:19):
He's like you might, I don'tknow, maybe he was humble and I
was like I know how, I know thismotherfucker, okay, I know this
guy, he's, he's, he's got a lotof credibility with ghost
hunting and, uh, you know, youguys were so kind to go out of
your way and, really, you know, bring all your ghost hunting
gear and we did a proper ghosthunting event in salem, which
that's going to be episode two, which I cannot wait to talk
about, right, um, but you know, for listeners here this is the

(40:43):
first episode.
Uh, david and lord, do you guysmind giving the listeners a
little?
Because here, here's what I'mtrying to do here.
I started this podcast with mychildhood best friend, jake
Simons, right, hello, little didI know that Jake is the world's
biggest skeptic when it comesto ghost.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
I'm very hard to convince which it's going to
piss me off.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
This whole season is going to piss me off.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
I exist solely to piss him off.
Yeah, we're like brothers.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
I grew up with no brother.
He's my brother, right.
Yeah, we're like brothers.
I grew up with no brother, he'smy brother, right.
But you know, david and Laura,if you don't mind, can you guys
give the listeners maybe alittle background on yourself,
because I want to tell you thisright now I got firsthand
experience with you two becauseI'm like, oh, the ghost said
this and both of you are like, nah, that's not what happened,
bobby.
I'm like no it did and you'relike nah, I'm like that sound.

(41:28):
You're like nah, like.
So I know the credibility isthere, but do you guys mind, you
know, uh, laura, maybe goingfirst, just giving us a little
background on yourself.

Speaker 5 (41:37):
Yeah, I've been uh, I'm part of deja vu, paranormal.
Um, I've been doing that forpast four years, but in general,
I've been doing investigationsfor the past 15 years.
Um, I've been going out theretrying to prove that it all
exists, cause I know it does.

Speaker 1 (41:56):
I'm just trying to get everybody else to believe me
, you and me both.
I love this.
I like that.
I like that.
And now you're also a mediumtoo.
You said right.

Speaker 5 (42:03):
Yeah, yeah.
So what I do is I don't.
I don't necessarily read people, I read locations.
I always have visions oflocations.
Well before I ever planned togo there, I didn't know what it
was.
Once I got into investigatingand started talking to people
and telling them what I'm seeing.
I had one incident thathappened and it was so dead on

(42:26):
the whole tour when they weretelling me I had the dream, I
wrote it in my notes on my phonebecause I knew it was prominent
to something.
I mean mean right down to anorange cat that they see wow
insane.
So, like I can go into alocation, I like to think that
the spirits are telling mestories.
Um, I don't know how they knowI'm going there prior to going

(42:46):
there, but I just see visions.

Speaker 1 (42:48):
Wow, that's okay, very fascinating.
And David yourself, give it.
Give us the non-humble, david, come on, let it, let it rip.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
Come on, man You're too humble.

Speaker 1 (42:59):
Come on, let it out.

Speaker 4 (43:00):
All right.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
All right.

Speaker 4 (43:01):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
Absolutely.
Yes, sir, yes, sir, well, david, well, david Childers.
I've been in the field forabout 27 years now, had the
pleasure of investigating withmultiple TV personalities as
well.
I've been on 17 paranormalshows, multiple news stations,

(43:27):
newspapers, podcasts, podcastsall of it.
Basically, that's really aboutit.
You know I love getting outthere and, you know, getting
into the field, going to theseplaces and try to figure out new
techniques to actually, youknow, push the paranormal field
ahead.
You know, none of us areexperts in the field.
It's always nice to learn fromeach other and that's one of the

(43:48):
biggest things.
We do a lot of fundraisers forlocations and host host event.
We've been hosting events foryears, you know, so you're able
to come out and get yourparanormal fix and become a
ghost hunter or a paranormalinvestigator for the night.

Speaker 1 (44:03):
So, uh, I mean, really that's about it, I, I
love it, and we're going to bejoining forces on some of those
events.
So you know everyone'slistening, stay tuned on that.
We got going to be joiningforces on some of those events.
So everyone's listening, staytuned on that, we got some
horseshit planned it is reallycool so, david, one more time
how many years have you been inthis field?
About 27, ok, 27 years?

Speaker 3 (44:23):
I'm just going to go around the room.
I already know what you'regoing to say ok, so, david, you
said 27.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
Alora, how long have you been in the field?

Speaker 5 (44:33):
I'm a little over 15 perfect.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
Okay, jake, real quick.
How long have you been in thefield?

Speaker 3 (44:37):
real shit, don't bullshit me.
I have lived 37 years.
Okay, there we go see what Imean.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
You see how the show is gonna piss me off, so so uh,
david and alora david and alora.
Uh, you guys got to see the thefootage that I captured.
And then the second videoactually was captured by Jake,
which is kind of odd, actually, that we even thought to film
like that.
I don't know, that's kind ofcrazy.

Speaker 3 (44:59):
Well, no, we started filming because of the lightning
.
The lightning was so coollooking that we both had to
record it.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
So, laura and David I want to give you guys a little
background on this here.
So that night I have crazy shit.
That's happened to me my wholelife.
I think David, I think both ofI think all three of us.
Maybe we caught up a little bitof it, but that we'll save that
for another episode.
But that night we were, we werein my hometown of Avella and I
I was just drunk, I was justsitting there.
I was like yo, let's go shadesof death right now.

(45:25):
It just like something told meto go to shadesades of Death
right now.
I can't explain it.
I don't know why.
I was like let's go right now.
It's just a vibe, I don't know.
Let's go.
So we go and we capture thosetwo videos right Now.
You know, jake and I have beendriving on that road for
seriously Many years.
I mean fucking 15 years.
You and I have been on that backroad, always trying to go find
stuff, or you offended me in themiddle of the road.

Speaker 3 (45:47):
I did leave Jake on that road for 15 minutes one
night.

Speaker 1 (45:51):
But you know and I shared with you guys about how
my great, great great uncle backin like what 1922 shot and
killed the sheriff.
Then he did not shoot, no,deputy.
Yeah, did not shoot, no, deputy.
Jake loves this shit, but Iknow, I know this show is
terrible and but you know mybloodlines like tied to that
Right Because this show isterrible.

(46:12):
But my bloodline is tied tothat right, because one of the
stories to this is those miners.
They got killed.
There was a lot of deaths inthat they basically threw those
bodies on the side of the roadand buried them with no
tombstones, no grave, justbasically dug a hole and threw
them in and buried them.
It was 13 total.
13 total.
So that's kind of how the namestarted out.
Shades of Death, that's a fact,right.
That that's kind of how thename started out.
Shades of depth Like that's afact right.
Like that's, like that's a,that's like a known thing, like

(46:33):
that's out there.
And then the other other storythat Jake was talking about
earlier in the episode, with thewoman who was who was killed on
the on the road and a lot ofyou know I was saying, guys that
you know I went on to theFacebook and Aunt Debbie's of
the world are out there and theysaid that they see a woman in
white.
They see a woman in white.

Speaker 3 (46:52):
We're not the only account.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
And we've heard that story for years.
I've never seen it.
But I mean, I got two of thebest ghost experts on the
fucking phone.
You guys gave me ghost tours soI got first hand, I know.
Can you guys break down thevideo for me here, because
Jake's a skeptic and I know alot of people watching this
right now.
I know what's going to happento this as the season goes on.
There's going to be team Jakeand team Bobby and there's going

(47:15):
to be a lot of skeptics, andyou guys know this right.
But I would like to get, andthen Bobby will eventually kick
me off.
Yes, If it gets.

Speaker 2 (47:38):
I do have to say spirit manifestation that you
know.
So, like you know railroadtracks, flowing water, limestone
stuff like that electricity.

Speaker 3 (47:45):
There's railroad tracks near that area, oh so you
got double, yeah, yeah okay sookay.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
So can you break down the video for us, like how do
we do this here?
Like I'm trying to, we'reshowing the video clip, can we
put it back up?
Actually, we'll put the videoclip back up, right now it's
fine um, do, do, uh, put thevideo david if you guys have it
there in front of you, the onewhere it the reversed one, you
know where it goes forward andgoes back your phone.

Speaker 5 (48:07):
You guys don't have it on my phone.
It's on on your phone, oh.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
I can't check it.
It's on my phone.

Speaker 5 (48:11):
It's on your phone.
It's on his phone that we'reusing.
It's all good.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
You know the clip where it goes forward and goes
back, the one.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
I showed you right.

Speaker 5 (48:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
So what is that?
Can you break that down?
Is that the lady in white Isthis?

Speaker 3 (48:22):
her?
Did we find her?

Speaker 1 (48:23):
I'm playing it right now.

Speaker 2 (48:25):
Yeah, it's like whenever you I mean we can't see
it on our end Whenever you're,whenever you look at it.
I mean, the first time we sawit it was at the Salem store.
You were showing us at theSalem store and we really
couldn't tell.
You know it looked like maybelight reflection, you know off
the windshield, this and thatyou know it looked like a road
sign, a white road sign thatcould have caused it.

(48:46):
But whenever you sent the videoto us, that was a different
kind of monster.
I mean, we were sitting here.
We were actually able to lookat it, didn't have to zoom in or
anything.

Speaker 5 (48:55):
We could watch it over and over again.

Speaker 2 (48:57):
Yeah, we could watch it over and over again and you
see in there just the breakdownof it.
Whenever you scan over, you seethere's a white sign in the
background to the left-hand side.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
Yeah, I see that.

Speaker 2 (49:13):
But whenever you, that's whenever you see the
white figure walk from left toright across the road.
We looked at it over and overand over and replay it drops
down.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
It goes down into the ground Right.

Speaker 5 (49:26):
It, it.
Either I just did too Eitherthat, or the energy just
dissipates and it just dissolves.

Speaker 2 (49:32):
Yeah.
Into you know it's, it's soweird, yeah, and you could tell
it's not a light, it's not, youknow, light reflection.

Speaker 5 (49:39):
Of course your phone doesn't go down at all.
Whatever, it is just kind ofjust dissipates, yeah.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
And it goes straight across the road.
I mean we tried to sit here anddebunk it and we couldn't
debunk it, which was real cool.
That's why I was like holy shit, what the fuck did we just
watch?
He sat, sat there for like 15minutes just kind of going back
and forth.
Yeah, I love that we bothconcluded we couldn't debunk it.
So it's definitely not lightbecause just looking at it, man,
you could tell it never goesback and forth.

(50:06):
It's not any kind of light.
We thought it was a sign atfirst, but it's not a sign,
thank you, that's what jake said.

Speaker 1 (50:12):
That's what jake tried to say.
There is a sign, but go ahead, jake.
So 27 years, 15 years ofexperience, go ahead, you go
ahead.

Speaker 3 (50:18):
So this is my theory?
Oh boy, because we are in amoving vehicle that can tend to
give the illusion that anythingon the side is moving as well.
We live in a very hilly area, and when you see the image
slowly fade off into thebackground, like behind it, I
actually see a hill in front ofit, exceeding the image

(50:40):
background.
Like behind it, I actually seea heel in front of it, exceeding
the image.
I actually don't think thewhite image is moving at all,
and personally too, as well, assomeone who grows, grew up in pa
, you are required to drivearound with your brights on, and
the brights actually are allencompassing, they get the
complete side of your car too,as well as the front, and I
personally believe that thebrights are shining off of
something in the background, because for me, I don't see the

(51:05):
object moving.
In my, in my eyes, I feel likeit's stationary.
Now, do I think it's a sign?
Do I think it's a sort of stoneor something that's stationary
in the ground?
I don't know, but I can't.
I can't say that it's moving,and I also said we had our
brights on, so I it's very howdo you know we had?
our brights on, though you don'tdrive around where we drive

(51:28):
without brights on because ofthe deer.
I don't know if that's anywaythat could be debunked, I feel
like.
the one thing for sure is Ithink it's actually very hard to
determine if the object ismoving, because we ourselves are
moving and that can give theperception that the object
itself is moving.
That being said, that doesn'tdebunk the thought that it could

(51:51):
be something or someonestanding in the middle of the
field.
I'm not going to say that it is, but I am saying I don't think
the object is moving.
I just don't think it's moving.
I think we're moving.

Speaker 5 (52:00):
Have you ever tried zooming in on the image?

Speaker 3 (52:03):
I can zoom in on it right now, actually Can we zoom
in on this, yeah.
Okay, I am.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
I can actually.
I've got video.
I've got video in software.
I could slow it down.

Speaker 5 (52:15):
Yeah, maybe slow it down, Maybe we can slow it down
right now To try to see ifthere's any sort of outline.

Speaker 3 (52:21):
I mean if it is debunked, I believe it's going
to be that white sign and Ithink it's hard to tell too,
because if it looks like asquare, like a vertical
rectangle, it's hard for me todetermine if it's like the
outline of, like a human body ofsome sort, because obviously if
the woman's wearing white, thatmeans her, her, she's not

(52:41):
wearing any headdress of somesort.
So it'll be hard to determineif there's an outline to a head,
to that figure.

Speaker 2 (52:47):
Um, and you know most that most apparitions, whenever
they manifest, they won't fullymanifest they won't.

Speaker 3 (52:55):
It's also very solid looking.
It doesn't look transparent atall.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
That's another interesting thing when I see it
I think when I see it first, first look.
When I looked at my phone thevideo again, because I was
looking at the lightning I waslike holy shit, there's the
woman in white and like I, thewhole chills came over my whole
body and like it, just I couldjust see to me when I watched
the video, this woman iscruising, she is cruising,

(53:18):
cruising, she is pissed off thatwe're there and she is walking.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
I'm not going to lie too.
I initially thought we capturedsomething, because we both
noticed it after we did therecording.
All right, real quick.
And then I sat with it and Ikept watching it, and then I
kept on not being convinced.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
Here's what I want to debunk on Jake's side Okay, his
theory real quick, quick, andthen we'll let you guys go is it
is shot from two differentangles.
Yeah, so the ref, to get thatto, to have the same thing in
this in two different angles ofa light reflecting, is kind of
wild, isn't it?
Well, how would you do.

Speaker 4 (53:50):
How would you get that?

Speaker 1 (53:50):
how would you get that?

Speaker 2 (53:52):
it would be impossible it would be sort of
hard to do, unless those hotheadlights are, you know, bright
enough and they are reflectingoff of that.
But yet, going back to wheneveryou were talking about,
whenever, jake, whenever you'retalking about, it's transparent.

Speaker 3 (54:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:09):
There's a lot of apparitions.
There's a lot of solid ones.
Okay, I've seen solidapparitions.

Speaker 5 (54:14):
Don't you yourself look like a real person standing
there?

Speaker 2 (54:16):
You just can't really see the facial features yeah.

Speaker 3 (54:20):
It depends on what kind of manifestation to look
like a real person standingthere.
You just can't really see thefacial features.
Yeah, I actually.
Yeah, I did have a questionabout that because I don't
really know what the rules arewhen it comes to apparitions,
because I'm very new to this.
But yeah, I wasn't Actually.
Could you explain, maybe, different types of apparitions
and what does it mean when animage is either fuller or more
transparent?
Is there a significant meaningbehind the variations of

(54:41):
apparitions?

Speaker 2 (54:43):
Well, I mean the theory.
I mean we don't know for sure, this is just theories of what
you know.
Other investigators picked upover the years, what we've
witnessed over the years.

Speaker 5 (54:52):
They always have dark , dark, hollow eyes.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
Yeah, it depends on what exactly In my experience,
oh, in your experience, yeah,Every time I've seen they've
always had almost like theireyes aren't there.

Speaker 5 (55:03):
That has to be frightening A certain level of
manifestation.

Speaker 2 (55:06):
It's a certain level of manifestations, okay.
So my opinion about shadowpeople, shadow people, okay,
people, you know, yeah, shadowpeople, they're like, oh, yeah,
it's.
They're like, oh yeah, it's uh,it's uh, they're evil, this and
that you know, just becausethey're dark and no, that's my
opinion.
No, it's a certain level ofmanifestation.
You know, shadow people areprobably the easiest

(55:26):
manifestation, so that's why wesee a lot of them and, yeah, a
lot of people see them in theirperipheral vision, which is just
your peripheral.
It is not paranormal, it isdefinitely explainable.
It's your peripheral.
That does you have to see themstraight on, and I've seen them
straight on.
She has too.
That's a beginning ofmanifestation, and then you can
go to your half body apparitionsthat you only see like an arm

(55:49):
or a shoulder or a torso, andthat's all you see.
That's like another level ofmanifestation, a higher level.
But as soon as you get up tothe full body manifestation,
were you able to see face, arms, finger, fingernails.
That is probably one of thehighest manifestations, because
it's very rare have you seen it?

Speaker 1 (56:08):
have you guys seen that?

Speaker 3 (56:10):
I have, I've seen two 27 years wow, oh, we did, I did
, okay, I actually.
I have another question too, because I would love.
I really want to dissect this.
So, when you say manifestation, like the image of an apparition
is manifesting, right, is thislike, are we dealing with

(56:31):
residual energy and it'sreplaying itself over and over
again, like, is it like aresidual or is this an actual
like?
Is it, when you say manifestlike, can you touch it, can you
walk through it?
Can it a residual or is this anactual?
When you say manifest, can youtouch it?
Can you walk through it?
Can you feel it?
Does it make your hairs andyour skin rise up?
When you say manifest, to whatdegree does that mean?

Speaker 2 (56:49):
It's different.
It could be residual, it couldbe intelligent.
Now also it could be a residualintelligent, a residual
intelligence.
Nobody ever looks a lot ofinvestigators.
They don't even look atresidual intelligence.

Speaker 5 (57:09):
I mean the 1980s movies what is it, uh, high
spirits, yeah, that they justkept replaying, replaying and
then, once it's, once peoplestarted interacting with it, it
started to be like, wait aminute, you can see me.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
And being intelligent .
It just snapped out of thebroken record and then went
straight to being intelligent.
I mean it can happen.
And now you were talking aboutlike maybe walking through it,
touching it.
I mean never had that happen.
I mean because as soon as yousee it, it's eventually gone.

Speaker 5 (57:37):
It's quick.

Speaker 2 (57:37):
Yeah, you're able to see it, though, eventually gone
it's, it's quick.

Speaker 5 (57:41):
yeah, you're able to see it though I mean, you're
able to make out what it is, butthen it's like gone.
You know it's like youquestioned, did I just see that?

Speaker 2 (57:44):
right yep that's how quick it can happen you know,
good damn well, you did see ityeah that's whenever you walk
through and you try to debunkeverything and prove it yeah, I
see.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
I see the wheel spinning in jake's head right
now the wheel is you're startingyour son.

Speaker 3 (57:56):
You're starting to become a believer.
Oh my god, it's the firstepisode.

Speaker 5 (57:59):
Okay, now listen also , too, with apparitions.
There's a theory I don't knowhow much you believe in, like
time travel uh-huh stuff likethat.
I do a theory that shadowpeople.
There's different levels ofexistence okay and they say that
that the theory is sometimestime travelers.
Come here and you'll see themas dark shadows.

Speaker 3 (58:21):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (58:21):
They can see us, but we can't see them.

Speaker 2 (58:24):
There's also the theory of different dimensions.
Slipping the timeline, it's somany different theories out
there.

Speaker 5 (58:31):
If spirits can know that each other's there.

Speaker 2 (58:33):
Yeah, exactly, and it's best just to sort of stay
with the basics.

Speaker 5 (58:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (58:38):
And try to figure it out.
Yeah, don't overthink it,because you overthink it, you're
probably going to end upgrowing.

Speaker 1 (58:44):
Oh, I'm overthinking right now?

Speaker 4 (58:46):
Well, you can apply that same thing to life.
You overthink business.

Speaker 1 (58:49):
You overthink anything in relationship.
I'm in my head more than I'm inthe world.
Get out of your damn head, Jake.

Speaker 3 (58:54):
But I do have one more question.
It's actually going to bepertaining to the image itself
of what we think might be thelady in white, these apparitions
are they cognitive, like whenwe experience these these
occurrences?
Are they cognitive at that time, or is it sometimes like what
you said, it's like amanifestation and it's just kind

(59:15):
of like rinse and repeating, kind of like in this constant
state of repetition where it'slike repeating actions of when
they were alive or somethinglike that.

Speaker 1 (59:23):
That's a good question.

Speaker 2 (59:25):
Right, I mean with the Lady in White.
I believe it's going to be areplay, I think it's going to be
a residual.

Speaker 3 (59:33):
So it's not necessarily cognitive.

Speaker 2 (59:35):
It's not even aware that it's doing what it's doing,
it's just replaying it, but wewon't know until we actually go
out there and investigate andtry to figure out and try to get
evidence.

Speaker 5 (59:44):
Use our IPC technology, try to get audio,
try to get some sort ofconversation going where maybe,
we can find out her name.

Speaker 3 (59:52):
I am totally on board for this.
I know I'm a skeptic, but I'vealways wanted to experience this
stuff.

Speaker 1 (59:57):
I will say David and Laura, we are planning.
Obviously, we've been talkingon the side about how we're
going to actually do live ghosthunting with you two.
I think we need to add this oneto the list, just due to my
bloodline kind of being involvedin it.

Speaker 4 (01:00:11):
Jake and I's hometown .

Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
I think this road probably manifested somewhat
into.

Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
Black Craft, right.
It's also not your typicallocation too, because there's a
lot of commercial paranormallocations that everyone kind of,
has heard of, I think it'ssometimes important for people
like you to come and do alocation that no one's done yet,
and I don't even think anyone'sgone to Shades of Death and
even attempted this, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
Yeah, I think we should put this on the list if
you guys are down.

Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
Absolutely 100%.
Always good to look at newlocations.
I love the untouched.

Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
Hell yeah, hell yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
Yeah, because you never know what you're going to
get.

Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
I'll show you exactly where Bobby abandoned me on the
road.

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
I did do that.
That was fucked up.
Hey, before I let you two outof here real fast, episode two
is coming up Blackcraft Salem.
We're going to Salem,massachusetts.
You guys were there with us.
We're going to be discussing it.
We'll have you guys on the show.
You know, what can listenerslook forward to, since you guys
are there?
Give me, you guys sharedsomething with me that you guys

(01:01:14):
have ghost hunted you know whatthousands of places at this
point.
Right, and I think you sharedsomething with me that this is
one of the most active places, right, is that?
Was that a fact?
Was that real?

Speaker 5 (01:01:26):
The short amount of time we were there.
There's times where we goplaces that there's nothing,
absolutely nothing.
It's an active place, butthere's nothing.
This place, the minute that westarted, it was like once it
realized it could communicatewith us.
It was like bam, bam, bam bam.

Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
It's like it was almost like going to each piece
of equipment and being like hey,I'm here yeah, it's very rare
I've had man, I've never had itthat quick of a response with
all the different kind ofequipment we have, not including
the disembodied voice I heardand the knocks and the bangs
y'all heard.
I mean we could have debunked alot of it.
But then I mean, heck you'rebut your.

(01:02:02):
Your wife was upstairs and shecame running down the steps yeah
, she thought we were fuckingwith her.

Speaker 5 (01:02:07):
No, I thought we were fucking with her yeah, and it
was just insane dude, I mean, and the energy, that that I feel
there like I would love to justgo there and sit by myself for
like an hour.

Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
Yeah, fuck that I'm not doing that shit, fuck that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
I used to do that.

Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
Well here's the funny part to this is Jake used to
actually sleep in there byhimself at night when we were
first launching the store andstuff.
He was just helping us geteverything done.
I got a lot of questions foryou on the next episode.
It'll, it'll, it'll be a goodone Totally game man Totally.
Awesome, Awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
Well, this is a we can chat as long as y'all want.

Speaker 1 (01:02:42):
Hell, yeah, okay, well, stay tuned, you know.
Thank you guys again for foryour time, uh so before you get
out of here.
So what are we calling this?
Are we calling this uh front?

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
possibly I'm not, I'm not gonna say it is okay
paranormal okay, but it'scompelling it's compelling it's
definitely thank you forconsidering me you know it's,
it's hard to prove it's yeah, Imean you really need to raise
your eyebrow because I mean, Isaw it.
We were like, holy shit, I gotchill bumps yeah I really wish.

Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
I wish the video quality was just a little bit
cleaner, so we could get a goodGoing back.

Speaker 5 (01:03:24):
There too.
We have IR cameras.
We got night vision we gotthermal image.

Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
I have so many questions about this technology.
Maybe we open it up to the 666Club.

Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
Maybe the Patreon can come out and maybe do a little
ghost hunting with you guys andus, that would be cool.
We'll have a party at my mom'sAwesome Well, thank you guys so
much for your time.

Speaker 3 (01:03:42):
We appreciate it.
This is the start of somethingfun.
It was a pleasure meeting you.
Thank you so much for coming onto the show.

Speaker 1 (01:03:49):
All right, thank you guys.
Have a good day.

Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
It's compelling.
That doesn't sound like it is.
It sounds like it's compelling.
That doesn't sound like it is.
It sounds like it's compelling.

Speaker 1 (01:04:02):
This is why I like this segment here, as we wrap up
here.

Speaker 3 (01:04:06):
Oh, I love them.
By the way, they're so cool.

Speaker 1 (01:04:08):
They're awesome because they're not just going
to say yes, that was a ghost.
They're going to debunk a lotof shit, because you got to
understand unlike you and I,they're actually credible people
, yeah, and they had answers tomy questions which.

Speaker 4 (01:04:22):
I really appreciate.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
No, no, bro, I'm telling you, I'm telling you.

Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
Because I feel like there's not simple questions to
this.
This is a very complex thingthat we're getting ourselves
involved in, and I'm going tothrow this out to you as well,
and Bobby will agree with us.
We're technically newbies tothis.

Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
Yeah, 100.

Speaker 3 (01:04:36):
We've experienced this stuff, but we're going to
be with the audience on this.
We're going to be learning asyou guys go too as well.
We're going to be learningthings for the first time for
this first season where we werelike, oh, I had not a clue about
any of this.

Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
Oh yeah, jake and I are not experts by the way.

Speaker 4 (01:04:50):
Yeah, we are not we should have said that at the
beginning.

Speaker 1 (01:05:04):
We are not experts here something that both, uh,
jake and I are very passionateabout.
We've had.
I've had some absolutely insaneexperiences and, jake, we've
shared in some apparitionstogether.
We've you and I have we'll saythat for another episode, but,
yeah, there's, there's somethinghere and I I will say also,
just for your peace of mind, I'mnot always gonna be like it's a
ghost, but yeah, you can be askeptic too.
I could be a skeptic on a lot ofshit, I think a lot of shit's
bullshit.
But I, and that's why, when Igo off feelings and you know
we're we're just the lastconversation I have about this,

(01:05:24):
but the lady in white for me,when I when I saw the, when I
watched the video back for me,it was a crazy feeling that
chills came over my body I getit.

Speaker 3 (01:05:31):
I think that shit don't lie so I'm going with.

Speaker 1 (01:05:33):
I got something there you're going with, not, but I.

Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
I feel like it can be rationally explained that's
fine.

Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
Um, okay, episode one that we did it, we did it, feel
good.

Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
Yeah, I'm pretty excited about that.
Uh, and to any of our patreonmembers, we're going to be doing
a new tier system too, as well,we should talk about that
before we get out of here um,we're going to do the 666 club,
which is already the general ummembership, and then we're going
to do the center, which is $13a month.
It's not on there yet.
We're setting it up foreveryone.

Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
Actually, when they're watching this, it'll be
live by the time they see this.
It'll be live, oh shit, it willbe.

Speaker 3 (01:06:07):
And then we're also doing the ultimate center as
well, so definitely check outour Patreon.
What's BlackCraftCultPatreoncom?

Speaker 1 (01:06:17):
Patreoncom slash sure you go check that out and a
bunch of new stuff just droppedon black craft cultcom and uh
it's.
It's some really cool shit thatwe're going to lean into as we
go into the coffee black craftcoffee stuff.
I want to be the uh alternative, martha stewart, so you're
going to be expecting a lot ofuh teapots and some absolutely
dinnerware.

Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
Yeah, coming up, and I was actually thinking before
we ended the episode.
I kind of want to choose ourwinner.
Oh for the.
Do you believe in ghost?
Uh?
poster that's going to be signedby I feel so cool signing
something like what they do.
They gave us a ghost story, right, they gave us a ghost
story and actually I want to.
I want to lead off the uh, theepisode with this ghost story.
So this is going to be thewinner, uh, and we're going to

(01:06:58):
reach out to you, we're going toget your address and we're
going to ship out.
Yeah, that's the poster rightthere.

Speaker 1 (01:07:03):
We got the poster.

Speaker 4 (01:07:04):
We got the poster.
We're going to sign it.

Speaker 3 (01:07:06):
We're going to ship it to you, but I found this
particular story veryinteresting and also takes place
in our home state, Pennsylvaniawhich apparently is the most
haunted state in America.
From what?

Speaker 4 (01:07:17):
I gathered I think it is.

Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
So the winner of the poster is BRB underscore photos.
And they gave me this coollittle story that I'm going to
read off right now.
Okay, I grew up in Middletown,pa, and there are plenty of
haunted stories and places fromthere and the surrounding cities
.
The one, however, I experiencedpersonally three times.
There was a private familycemetery only a few miles from

(01:07:40):
my house that the legend was, ifyou walked around the stone
wall three times, on the thirdtime you would be pushed off the
wall before completion.
Well, when my buddies and I,finally, were old enough to
drive, we went out one night inthe winter to try it.
Two of us stood by the entranceand held the flashlight so the
other two could get up to thewall and walk around it.

(01:08:02):
When they made it about halfwayon the second lap, we heard a
branch snap Weird, but thoughtmaybe a deer or something in the
woods.
As they got further around andwere on the third lap, but in
the corner furthest from us,something started a dead spring
towards us as snapping so manybranches and bead lining

(01:08:23):
straight towards them, we bailed, uh, we bailed the area and got
in our car and sped off.
We were freaked out.
Mind you, this was after an icesnow storm two days prior, so
we were all but convinced it wassupernatural.
We went back later, once in thespring and find a final time in
august of the same year, triedand debunked things, but there
was just no explanation.

(01:08:44):
In the august trip we uh hadwild things going on it with
with wild things were happeningduring the 80s in the evening,
but when we were thereinvestigating, the temperature
dropped enough around to see ourown breath.
Then, uh, then on, uh, they alsogot a voice recording.
They uh, they had brought withus.
We got they got whispery voicesanswering questions and telling

(01:09:06):
them to get out of the area.
I still have the voice recorderand still gives me chills to
this very day.
I would love to hear thosewhispers on that voice recorder.
So yeah, uh, every episode wewant to tell a little story from
our Patreon members, because wedo believe that this is
obviously a universal experienceto any sort of degree and we

(01:09:27):
always appreciate you guysproviding us your stories.
So yeah, brb underscore photos.
Thank you so much for yourstory.
You also won a signed poster ofDo you Believe in Ghosts?
And yeah, bobby, I just wantedto end off the episode with that
cool little story.

Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
It's a great way to end the episode because coming
up next we got our Salem episodeand voice recordings.
There are some voice recordingsthat we captured that I don't
know how you deny this thatyou're about to hear.

Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
I'm sure you'll find a way.
I wish I was there for it.

Speaker 4 (01:09:58):
I was not there for this, I'm sure you will find a
way.

Speaker 1 (01:09:59):
Stay tuned.
Thank you to everyone listening.
If you're watching us onYouTube right now, this is
something new.
We've never been on YouTubelike this.
We did some Fright Night stuffon there, but never like this.
But I'm very grateful foreveryone that's put in time and
energy and all the researchyou've done, David and Laura,
everyone listening.

Speaker 3 (01:10:19):
much love, and if you're interested in extra
content, be sure to check outour Patreon.
We're doing this really coolthing called the Ghost Hunter
Hotline, where our Patreonmembers call in and tell us
their stories and we discuss.
So definitely be sure to checkout our tier system, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:10:32):
Okay, we're out of here.
I'm going to go get some coffee.
Me too, I'm going to go getsome coffee.

Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
