What happens when you blend Salem's dark history with modern ghost hunting technology? A night of unexpected revelations at the historic Merchants National Bank, now home to Black Craft's Salem flagship store.

Salem's reputation extends far beyond the infamous witch trials of 1692-1693 that claimed 19 lives through a frenzy of religious fanaticism and unfounded accusations. The city carries centuries of spiritual energy, with Essex Street particularly known for paranormal activity following the devastating Great Salem Fire of 1914.

When we invited professional ghost hunters David and Alaura, with over 40 combined years of experience, to investigate our Salem location following a 666 Club murder mystery dinner, none of us anticipated the level of activity we'd encounter. Within minutes of setting up specialized equipment including a Jacob's Ladder to energize the space, unmistakable responses began coming through.

Most compelling was the direct connection to Salem's witch trial history when our equipment captured the name "Bishop" – significant because Bridget Bishop was the first person executed during the trials. The entity demonstrated intelligent interaction by counting in sequence when prompted and even identifying one team member by their uncommon last name. Near the bank vault, multiple witnesses have reported hearing whispered questions from unseen presences.

The investigation revealed distinct energy differences between the welcoming presence upstairs and the heavier, more oppressive feeling in the basement that caused physical sensations of chest pressure that immediately disappeared upon leaving the space. David and Alaura rated the location 9/10 for paranormal activity based on the quantity and quality of interactions during their relatively brief investigation.

Whether you're a believer or skeptic, the evidence gathered during our night at Black Craft Salem raises fascinating questions about what energies might linger in historic buildings. Join us as we explore the unexplained and decide for yourself what might be dwelling in Salem's shadows.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
That mystery?
No, never mind, it's Josh Balls.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Something in the water.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I think, J-Van is here and I just want to show him
how good I am at what I do.
All right, man Okay.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
So Black Craft, salem Jake, where do you want to take
this?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Where do you want to go here?
Well, it dive down SalemMassachusetts, but it's like one
of those little towns inAmerica that just everyone knows
about.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yeah, but we should do.
I think Salem Massachusetts ingeneral is probably like a
10-part series.
Oh, absolutely, that's so much.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
This would technically be the first part,
and this first part is going tostrictly be talking about the
Merchants National Bake, whichnow today is our flagship store
for Salem Black Craft craft and, yeah, anybody who has visited
salem has a pretty good idea oflike what it represents as a as
a as a monument in americanhistory.
Um, pretty much founded in 1626, it was a mostly english

(04:39):
puritan community.
Uh, very strongly puritan, verysuper religious.
Uh definitely dominated a lotof families daily lives and they
also were very fearful of thedevil, witchcraft and all
supernatural phenomenon.
That took place and obviouslythat eventually manifested into

(04:59):
one of the most horrific thingsthat could have ever happened,
which, uh, we call it the salemwitch trial trials.
So it's basically my Facebookfeed.
Why is it your Facebook feed?
Why is it your?

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Facebook feed A lot of people like.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
My entire Facebook feed is like God-fearing afraid
of the devil afraid ofwitchcraft?

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Oh, that's.
There's a whole experience.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
We've got to stay on track here now.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
You almost derailed me.
You almost completely derailedme.
We've been seven minutes in andyou're already derailing us.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
But yeah, so Salem definitely has a prominent
history in American culture.
We do want to talk a little bitabout the Salem Witch Trials,
which took place pretty muchbetween 1692 to 1693, pretty
much a whole year but a lot ofdevastation took place within
this one year alone pretty mucha whole year, but a lot of
devastation took place withinthis one year alone.

(05:47):
And it all started with a girl.
Uh, uh bridget bishop.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Yeah, so it's so funny.
That's where you're startingand I'll, and I'll be honest
with you.
Like this is no bullshit, likethis is on everything I got.
Man, I see the problem becauseI I watch ghost telling.
She'll be like they're full ofshit, they're lying, I see
they're full of shit.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
They're lying.
I get, I see how they're lying.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
They're full of shit, they're lying.
I get it now, but it's so crazy.
You bring up that name first.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Because J-Van was there right with us on this
ghost hunting tour.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
And we're going to bring.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
David and Laura on in a minute, but just everyone
listening and watching right nowremember the name Bishop
Because that plays a big, big, big, big role in what we're
about to explore here tonight.
Yeah, on this show, this isgoing to be this episode, I
think to me this.
I'll be honest with you whatjayven and I explored, or what
we discovered or went through,or whatever fuck, we did in

(06:35):
salem something.
It triggered all of this by theway, and yeah, I don't know it,
just uh one of the first, likethe last name just triggered me
it's one of the first prominentjust, uh, one of the first, like
the last name just triggered me.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Definitely one of the first prominent, like
recordings of just hysteriataking a hold of a whole entire
community, uh, but yeah, itstarted with a bridget bishop
who also had a sister namedsarah bishop.
They often get mistaken foreach other, but pretty much one
day, um bridget bishop hadepisode and accused someone of
witchcraft and then, before Iknow, it just triggered this
whole domino effect of peoplejust being like just pretty much

(07:10):
blatantly being murdered simplybecause of sheer accusation
with no proof whatsoever, and,um, the Bishop family alone.
We'll talk about the Bishopfamily, for a little bit.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
It's so crazy that I'll be honest with you.
I didn't read any of thesecliff notes.
I'm not even looking at them onmy thing.
I haven't even read these ones.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
He didn't know about that?

Speaker 4 (07:27):
No, he still doesn't know about that.
He hasn't even seen the footage.
No.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
I have not seen the footage.
He has not seen one thing.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
He hasn't heard one story, nothing.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
No, trust me, I definitely am interested in the
story that you.
But I want to do a little bitof a sum up of the Salem witch
trials right now.
So pretty much girls wereaccusing several local women of
witchcraft.
These accusations pretty muchspread a whole bunch of personal
grudges, fear and religiouszeal against the regular
community and it pretty muchresulted to and this is like no

(07:57):
kidding like 19 people were hung14 women, 5 men, one man, giles
Corey, was pressed to death byheavy stones, refusing to plead,
and then just other severaldied, like in the local jail too
as well, and this lasted for awhole entire year.
It's interesting because weopened up a store here in Salem

(08:19):
and you'd be surprised how manypeople.
It's a touristy area duringcertain seasons, but you'd be
surprised how many people arereally fascinated with this
story, with this time in history, because it really sheds a
light on one the power offanaticism, religious fanaticism
, and how, without any sort ofboundaries or protocols, to keep

(08:42):
something like this fromhappening, how it can just
pretty much turn to a communityturning against itself and
believing whatever they feel orsense and stuff like, despite it
being like completely invalid.
That's scary and I feel like tothis.
I know this sounds like weirdas I'm applying it today, but I
feel like that's kind ofapplicable today.
We live in a society wherepeople are willing to believe

(09:05):
immediately what they hear, justso it follows a certain
narrative and that's pretty muchwhat happened, like a narrative
was created and then it spreadlike a wildfire and, before you
know it, innocent people werebeing murdered that's, that's
literally where the term witchhunt comes from oh yeah yeah,
it's.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
It's that's directly derivative of the Salem witch
trials and everything thathappened there.
I mean we.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
You know it's funny.
It's you know it's funnybecause the next episode we're
going to be is going to be JoshBalls and I always think in my
head the house chose him orwhatever it is, and I I say that
a lot, you know, because I'velived in some crazy houses and
things like that.
I would always say that thingto Josh Balls.
It remind me when we talk tohim.
I need to say that to him.
But, um, the crazy part aboutsalem jake, with what you're

(09:46):
saying, is like I feel likesalem chose us also too.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
This was something that early on with black craft I
was gonna say there's a dreamof mine to open a store.
This is something that hoveredover you since you started the
business correct this is prettymuch day one yeah this was
always a part of your game planand it just magically happened
to like this location that we'retalking about today, the
merchants bank national bank it.
I don't know how you landedthat.
I mean, I don't know how youlanded that.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
I'll be honest with you again.
You know salem's a town.
Salem's a town where it, likejake said, it's a very touristy
town and businesses.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
You know, you walk they're booming during at least
a solid two or three months, yeah, but not even that, even
that.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
It's impossible to rent a place there.
Everything's very expensive.
Big buildings like this do notjust come onto market.
No, they don't.
And it came onto market andthere was a lot of people
bidding.
We got it.
It was kind of weird.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
At the time too, it just went to us.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
I feel like again we were an e-commerce store that
won a bidding for pretty much apiece of history.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
This is a historical place, right, well, we're a
lifestyle brand.
But yes, well, yeah, well, yeah, but I know we started off.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
We started off on mine, and all of a sudden it
manifested into one of thecoolest locations we probably
could have ever started ourflagship store, yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
There's no better place to launch a Blackcraft
store um than what we did there.
You know, and it's just funny, man, I mean getting in, going
into it here, let's, I mean weshould, just let's get, let's
get into the haunted side ofthis, right.
I I feel like you know, look, everyone knows the witchcraft,
the witch hunts, the, the trials, the history.
That's there, right, like againI, I think.
I think salem, the town initself, that's a 10 part,
episode 20 it's-part.
It's whatever you want this tobe you could do a whole fucking

(11:27):
podcast on Salem company.
You know you could do a wholeshow about it, right.
But this is interesting because, again like what I was just
saying, where I feel like thehouse or the building chose us
kind of vibe, you know we gothere.
Sorry, we done on house key Ijust feel like I'm good on salem
.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
I just want to, I want to.
I do want to give a little bitof insight on the merchants
national bank and pretty muchwhen I originated uh, it did uh,
we do need to talk about that?
Yeah, I do want to talk abouthow it was built in 1910 it was.
It's considered a classicalrevival style.
So if you were to ever visitthe storefront I mean
immediately you'll the firstthing you'll immediately notice
is the very high ceilings andthe beautiful glass.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
We'll put a photo right here.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
It's an absolutely gorgeous location.
It was built in 1910.
It was mostly pretty much abank during its whole entire
existence.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
Even before us that it got passed down it was
another bank.
It was a bank branch orsomething.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Yeah, it was uh, I think it was santander yeah, the
santander bank and then, yeah,we're pretty much the first
non-bank related business toever inhabit that building.
And boy are we lucky.
I, I can't honor it is an honor.
But what's what's reallyinteresting about this building
particularly is because recently, bobby and jay van are going to

(12:49):
elaborate about their mostrecent experience while going
there is that, uh, I've been.
I was there when we firststarted, uh, setting up the
company, and jason, who also didthis wonderful setup jason was
also responsible for um, thesalem blackraft store, and there
was a two-month period when wewere setting up the store where

(13:09):
I pretty much like lived in thebuilding.
I was there day and night and Iam usually prone to the idea of
like, if I'm in a new place andI'm not used to it and I'm not
familiar with it, I I can befreaked out.
I can be freaked out why?
Because you don't believe inghosts.
It's not about that.
It's just other things at play, like what.

(13:30):
It's lack of familiarity.
You know, is this place easily?
You know, can people hide inthis place easily?
Are there basements attached toeach other where people yeah,
there are murderars in Salem,massachusetts.
You're just trying to break inand murder me, but during my
stay there I actually had a verywarm and welcome stay there.
I didn't have any scaryoccurrences that happened.

(13:51):
That's funny, you should saythat, and that's why I find it
interesting when we're doingthis episode today, is the story
that you guys told me and alsothis video content I have not
even watched yet.
I'm very curious what yourexperience was, because I just
had not one experiencewhatsoever while I was there.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Well, I'll tell you this much it's funny that you
say it the way you said it youhad a warm and welcoming
experience there because, asJ-Van and I and we're going to
get David and Laura on the phonewhen we were talking to this
figure, the figure they werevery welcoming and they were
happy that we were there and youcan back this JVM 100%.
We have it all on video.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
There's on video.

Speaker 5 (14:30):
There's a bunch of footage.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
I think what we're going to do, we're going to do
something a little different onthis episode, I think, because
we actually have like a what isit?
12, 13 minute footage, yeah,lot going on.
Yeah, we'll probably piece ittogether and just and let it run
.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Yeah, yeah, we'll show you that at the end of this
episode.
But I also want to addsomething to uh, when you say it
was a warm and welcomingfeeling, uh, to add to the warm
part of it.
So back in uh 1914, there wasthis thing called the great
salem fire that broke out onessex street and and it was just
for a few blocks and it justripped through the whole blocks

(15:08):
like 13,000 buildings.
So I wonder if the warm partplays a role.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
But I thought that was interesting.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
But yeah, thousands of people were left homeless
during this fire and many wereinjured and there was three
confirmed deaths and pretty muchEssex Street has become a
haunted location since then.
And this is obviously after theSalem witch trials, but Essex
Street specifically is known forthe Great Salem Fire.
It got eviscerated.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
And before we go into this here, we didn't really
find much haunting on ourbuilding or in that building or
anything like that like onlineOnline.
No, there was no stories oranything.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
There was not much content to find.
There was a lot of surroundingcontent.

Speaker 5 (15:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Stuff that took place around the building which you
and I know that that can.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
energy can transfer over, that can transfer.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
I mean, if you think about it like two blocks down,
is the witch house Right?
And I mean if you think aboutit like two blocks down, is the
witch house Right?
That's notorious like spot tocheck out in Salem and there's
always a probability thatwhatever is lingering in those
locations can linger beyond thattoo as well.
And for people who are probablymore prone to experience it,
like you, bobby, I can seewhatever occurred to you guys at

(16:22):
the bank could probably happenin other locations too as well.
So that's always plausible.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
Well, let me, let me set the tone here, cause we're
going to get David and Laura.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
They're going to be joining us here in a minute.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
So we we did a six, six, six club um like a murder
mystery dinner in SalemMassachusetts, so I wish I was
there.
But I in Massachusetts.
I wish I was there.
I know I wish you were theretoo.
Also, if you're just listeningto this, make sure you join our
Patreon Patreoncom.
Slash BlackCraftCult Link'sright here.
We got three tiers.
Bam, I let 200 666 Club memberscome to our Salem store.

(16:56):
We did a murder mystery dinner.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
I heard it was a blast, it was really, really
special and it was 666 Clubexclusive.
I mean, we actually even flewout.
Oh yeah, we had some winnersthat flew out, three winners.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Yeah, it was pretty special, I bet they loved it.
Yeah, it was a special night.
Now this is where the night gotreally special.
So in our 666 Club is Alluraand Jake.
You talked to Allura and Davidon the phone.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Very, I really enjoyed them.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Yeah, on the first episode here.
So they wrote me.
They're like we want to ghosthunt.
Now this is even funny initself.
I haven't even told them thisyet, but so many people.
You can imagine our DMs aboutghost hunters Can we please come
in?
Can we please come in?
We have said no to everybody.
I have said no to everybody.
Right Now I don't know what itis about them.

(17:45):
I said yes to them, so we dothe murder mystery dinner.
I said, hey, listen, after weget through the murder mystery
dinner we're going to godownstairs, and or we'll not
even go downstairs, we'll startin the main room we'll start in
the entrance room, which we did,and then we will go downstairs,
right?
yeah, now I'm gonna get them onthe phone because they you know
they're credible.
I don't want to ever likediscredit them so like I want

(18:08):
them to explain what happenedthis night yeah okay, we got
video footage which we're gonnaroll after this episode.
So make sure you stick aroundafter this episode.
As soon as this episode ends, the same video, it'll just be
rolling, you'll see the ghosthunting stuff you guys can make
your decision.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
We should also post it on Patreon.
We will post it on.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
Patreon we will post it on Patreon.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
People can have debate about it, we will, we
could debate it, but um it'shard.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
This one's going to be hard to debate.
I'm going to get I'm going toget Dave and a Laura on, and I
think that's just a good placejust to.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
I'm not, I'm not going, I witnessed it, I felt it
all.
That's the most important partto me is I felt it all and I
heard all about it.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
I mean bro it's.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
For one time I'm not around you, guys.
I mean look.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
Make sure you watch the footage afterwards, because
JVN was there.
The shit said my name.
I mean, it didn't say Bobby.
It didn't say Bobby.
It said Shabinsky at the end, shabinsky, bobby.
It didn't say Bobby, it saidShabinsky at the end, shabinsky.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
It did?

Speaker 4 (19:05):
I mean we're going to get David and Laura on here in
a second.
Let's see if we can get them inhere, but I don't want to say
too much.
I think you just got to letDavid and Laura just kind of
take it.
You know what, jake?
This shit's going to piss meoff.
This season's going to pisspeople off.
I just have questions.
No, I'm just kidding.
I think you I mean even thelast episode, I mean you had

(19:27):
some great points on episode one.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
I thought I had some good questions.
No, you actually did Keep inmind, I'm not trying to avoid
being a believer, I just I needto understand it more before I
can just blatantly accept it.
Does that make sense?

Speaker 4 (19:46):
No, I think I mean.
No, I think I mean yes from anoutsider's perspective.
I just think you are scared I'mnot scared to open this portal.
That's what I think personallyopen my portal okay let me see
if we can get them on oh boy.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Yeah, I mean it the whole thing with salem in
general, like all the activitiesthat go around there, for this
to have happened to us at thattime with the event, and for it
to be just kind of as active asit was.

Speaker 4 (20:13):
Here we go.
I got David.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Sweet.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
Here we go, david oh.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Hold on, hold on.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
Did you mute them?
No, no, hold on David, youthere, uh-oh, uh-oh, let's see.
Uh-oh, maybe the ghost fuckedit up.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Oh David, maybe the ghost followed you back.
David, you there, ghost isfollowing you back.
That was a question we asked.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Hold on.
Can you guys hear me Hold on?
Can you guys hear me Hold on?

Speaker 2 (20:47):
David, we got you.
No, we're going to figure itout.
This is technical difficulties.
We should start playingelevator music right now.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
Hold on one second here we don't got you Just like

Speaker 2 (20:57):
a mandolin version of Celine Dion.
I tell you what.
I have walked the streets ofSalem so many times.
I never had a weird vibe.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Don't got them.
I actually love it there.
David, can you hear us?
You want a weird vibe.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
You could hear us, but I don't have you.
That's for Salem walking thestreets.
Dude, it's 7 am 7 am.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Hold on.
Wow, I did that when I was aniece.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
David, you there.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
It's not coming through the roadcast or
something's going on here.
We do have an additionalspeaker.
Did it maybe interfere?
Shouldn't have no.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
It should come through his Bluetooth.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Hold on, we're going to figure it out.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
All right, david, I'm going to try to send you a new
link.
Rejoin the link, maybe, orsomething.
Can you maybe exit out?
Let me send you a new link.
Hold on one second here.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
Let me send you beliefs right now?
That sounds like a nightmare.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
So the Puritan belief is strong.
So there is a strong belief inliteral existence of witches and
the devil's ability to corruptsouls.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
I had to test you here.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
Just create this clear water revival.
Hey man, you guys want it liveor not.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
We do want it live.
And then also the nonconformityor odd behavior, often seen as
evidence of working with thedevil, which obviously falls
into the witchcraft, whichprobably would cause all that
stuff to happen in the firstplace oh yeah, it's whatever
they ministers like reverendsamuel paris, whose daughter and
niece were among the firstafflicted, played a central role
on fueling the panic.
Laterters.
Like cotton mather, cottonmather cotton they don't do that

(22:32):
name anymore.
Cotton mather supported thetrials but cautioned against
relying solely on spectralevidence.
Oh, spectral evidence hold on.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Oh, he led the like, he, he led the charge spectral
there's a little technicaldifficulties, that's all right
everyone, sorry.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Spectral evidence.
I really want to look up whatspectral evidence is.
So spectral evidence is a formof legal evidence based upon the
testimony of those who claim tohave experienced visions.
Such testimonies was frequentlygiven during the witch trials
of the 16th and 17th centuriesgotcha.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
So modern day court cases would not accept spectral
evidence.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
They would not.
It was mostly people justbasing off what people were
telling them.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Yeah, hearsay.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Sorry.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
Sorry, sorry guys, one second here.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Do not apologize, let's talk about Essex.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
Streets a little bit.
I mean Essex Street.
I'm getting them teed up herein a second.
Essex Street is a specialstreet.
I mean Essex Street.
I'm getting them teed up herein a second.
Essex Street is a specialstreet.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
I mean the Witch House is on Essex too, right,
yeah, and there's also thePeabody Essex Museum, which also
offers Sinister Streets, whichis a walking tour covering local
eerie tales.
So if anybody wants to go visitSalem Massachusetts, look into
Sinister Streets.
There's people constantly doingwalking tours in the area like
all day long, every single dayand right on the corner of our

(23:52):
Salem store, the Bewitchedstatue.
I love the Bewitched statue.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
I know, it's actually really fun.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
I know I took a photo with it.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
I talked to her.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
But you don't believe in ghosts.
Shut up.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Oh my god, dude, something's going on in here
today.
Nothing's, maybe the ghost,this is.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
This is interesting, oh well, I mean, if you put it
on speaker, we'd hear it.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Oh, here we go.
Now we hear here we go, laura.
Yeah, we're in here, there wego.
I got you guys there they arethere, we go.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
How there?
They are there, we go.
How are you guys doing?

Speaker 5 (24:28):
Good, how are you?

Speaker 4 (24:29):
We are good, awesome, we are good.
Thanks for joining the showagain.
We are on our second episodehere and we are discussing
Blackcraft Salem.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Man.
What a time.
Also formerly known, orcurrently known, as the
Merchants National Bank.
Yes, currently known, yes, soreal quick here.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
I want to give a quick thing here to our
listeners and if you're watchingus on YouTube right now.
So we got David Childers and wegot Allura Allura.
What's your last name?
It is Huey Huey.
Okay, so we got two ghostexperts here, correct?
I don't want to misspeak here.
We got a ghost expert, we got amedium, we got some great
people.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Right, ghost expert.
We got a medium.
We got some great people right,is that, is that said properly?
Is that good?
It covers a lot of the bases.
Yeah, been called worse.
Right, david, you've beencalled worse, I'm sure, right,
um, but you worked on tv.
You definitely were calledworse.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
Yeah, definitely so uh so, david and laura, I got j
van and jake here.
J van was with us.
Uh, he was filming a lot ofthis stuff that we picked up in
Salem at our store.
And look this episode, it'skind of we gave some history
that we gave Jake gave somegreat history to Salem.
Right, I laid the land of hey,we did a 666 Club murder mystery

(25:41):
dinner and then you guys wroteme and I was explaining how just
to catch up here, I wasexplaining how a lot of people
have wrote me about wanting toghost hunt in our store and I've
said no to everybody, but forsome reason I didn't even know
you guys.
I said yes and you know youguys showed up to the event, we
hit it off and, uh, like I saidin episode one, you know you
guys are very credible, uh,amazing people.

(26:03):
So I'm I'm really lookingforward to you know, to really
dive in today, because I think, david, you could attest to this,
after we did this this night, Ithink I probably texted you
till four in the morning, beinglike bro, yeah, what was that,
bro?

Speaker 5 (26:16):
what?

Speaker 4 (26:17):
is this bro, is this and that we were voicing all
night long and you know, laurawas, you know, chiming in.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
It was just so great, I was blowing up japan bro, I
remember it was 3 am and youwere like come downstairs, and I
was like okay, I was like brom.
And you were like comedownstairs and I was like okay,
I was like bro think about thisand that and this happened and
holy shit.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
So you know, I got everyone up to speed right now,
right.
So I kind of want you know Idon't know how we should do this
, but I feel like I can feelJake's energy right now and he's
like Bobby, I stayed there, Islept there, I've seen two you
can feel is that like you?

Speaker 3 (26:48):
guys are all the way.
Where do you guys live?

Speaker 4 (26:50):
again.
Where do you guys live again?

Speaker 3 (26:53):
new.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
I live in new hampshire, she lives in vermont
okay, you guys are way the fuckover there on the east coast up
north somewhere.

Speaker 5 (26:59):
Way the fuck cold somewhere probably, even though
it's spring you're probablyfucking freezing, but you could
feel today, see, yeah, see, I'ma psychic.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
I'm a psychic.
You could feel Jake's energyall the way over there.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
No, you can't.
And he's hating right now.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
I'm not hating, he's hating right now you can see the
look on his face right now.
Just because I didn't haveexperience doesn't mean I'm
hating on anyone.
It's just I can't help it.
This is my experience, allright, so All right.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
So so here's how I want to.
Here's how I think I want tostructure this.
So we so JVN got some amazingfootage right.
We captured a lot of things onfilm.
After this episode is over, I'mjust going to play the last
like 12 minute ghost huntingfootage we got.
Well, basically when we were inthe basement.

(27:46):
When we were in the basement ispretty much what I'm going to
show.
I'll share that with you guysbefore we, before we put it out
or and just make sure everyone'sokay with it.
But you know, you guys told meon episode one and we've talked
offline about this.
So real quick, if there's a lotof new listeners here tuning in
David you have 27 years in thefield and Allure, you have 15
plus years in the field, correct?

Speaker 5 (28:01):
Yep, and is it?

Speaker 4 (28:02):
safe to say that you guys have done over hundreds of
I don't know haunts.
Uh, thousands, what do you say?
Thousands?
At this point, guys?

Speaker 3 (28:11):
Well, you know, together, together, yeah,
probably so, absolutely Ahundred percent.
A lot, multiple locations, Imean even private, private
residentials, you know so yeah,we've done some crazy, crazy
place.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
Now, with all that being said, what would you rate
the Blackraft Salemem store in,I guess, like what do you say?
Like, uh, like activity, likewhat?
It's a very active place, likeone through ten yeah, one
through ten.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
One through ten.
Yeah, I would give it juststarting off.

Speaker 5 (28:41):
I mean, we were there like just 15 minutes into it
and all hell broke loose yeah Imean really, I would give it, uh
, nine out of ten because of thelength of time that we
investigated versus the amountof activity there was.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
Yeah, and it was just the different devices, you know
.

Speaker 5 (28:57):
I was going to say we were there for hours.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (29:02):
And overnight places and nothing, oh wow.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
So what we captured in those, I'd say, two hours, we
were probably there.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
I would say two to three hours.
We were probably there.
We captured a lot.
Huh yeah, I think they wereexcited for us to be there.
They were like they can hear usnow.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
They definitely weren't excited for me to be
there, jake shut off to it so soI'm trying to think they're.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
So I I mean genuinely what I like about this podcast
is it's raw.
We, we're, just we're justrolling.
I don't really know where totake this.
You know, maybe David, a Lordyou want to help Like how would
you kick this off of this ghosthunting adventure, of what we
captured that night?
Maybe here, from your guysperspective, I think, would
probably be the best, becauseI'm the guy that watches, you
know, ghost hunting shows, butthey're lying.

(29:48):
They're watches, you know, ghost hunting shows.
Be like they're lying, they'refull of shit.
Because, yeah, I'm the guy whoowns the store, a so of course
I'm like this is all my pressand it's haunted, you know.
So I don't want it to come.
I don't want it to come from me.
That's why I didn't really sayshit and I think it should come
from you two to kind of walk usthrough that night of murder
mystery.
Uh, dinner ended, we all hungout for a little bit.

(30:08):
Some 666 Club people stayedback.
There was probably about 20 ofus, I would say, in this group,
correct, if that 15,?
20 of us, about 15,.
I would say Everyone leaves thestore's shutting down.
David and Laura, you guys startsetting up the equipment, you
guys take it away, you guys walkus through it.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Go ahead.
Whenever we first got in there, the murder mystery was amazing.
We all we had a blast.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
It was great, you know, and you know, getting down
to the investigation, wheneverwe're sitting here trying to set
up the equipment, this and that, you know I was sitting here
and I was like you know, let'sdo this, let's do that.
And of course Laura was likelike well, let's do this.
You know, there's different wealways.

Speaker 5 (30:50):
We always have like a conflict when we first start
what we're gonna do it's like meand jay has different styles.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
I have certain equipment, I like certain
equipment, so it's usually likeyou know so we just, you know,
sort of go our differentseparate ways and equipment wise
.
But but as soon as we goteverything set up, you know I
wish I was so excited about it Ididn't actually sit here and
explain all the equipment andwhat it does.

Speaker 5 (31:15):
You know I'll just really get to it, you know, and
everybody else was as well, andthen you use the jacob's ladder
to amp up the energy whichhelped yep the, the tesla coil
and the jacob's ladder.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
You know we started that.
We started off with that, definitely to try to, you know,
charge the room.
The theory is behind that.
You know spirit.
You know they supposedlymanifest off of high EMF
readings, electronic magneticfields.

Speaker 5 (31:38):
They need that energy .

Speaker 3 (31:39):
Right, yeah, to manifest and actually make their
self known.

Speaker 5 (31:42):
And we don't want them to take it from us.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Right, exactly, you know, that's the theory behind
it.
So we did that.
We got the you know test, gotjacob's ladder, we got them
fired up and of course, you know, while we were there you could
just feel the electricity in theroom just completely shift it
did, it did, it was already coldbut it got cold so what exactly

(32:04):
is the jacob's ladder again?

Speaker 4 (32:05):
we got video.
We got video of it.
Yeah, do you guys want toexplain?

Speaker 3 (32:09):
yeah, basically jacob's ladder, it's well.
The one I have is usually like18,000 to 20,000 volts of
electricity.
You know, like you see on theFrankenstein movies, yeah, you
know, the Tesla coils.
Yeah, that's basically what itis.
It's just putting off high EMFreadings.
So say, the K2 meter we have,we have other EMFs.

Speaker 5 (32:29):
Which will set the equipment off while it's on,
Exactly yeah, it'll set it off.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
so you know it's working, you know.
So basically we try to chargethe room and there's other ways
that we charge the room.
I have a Shepard's Tone, I cancharge with as well.
But you know, within that timeperiod we want to come out with
the big guns, you know.
So we got that charged up andthat's whenever we started
asking questions.
You know who's here blah, blah, blah.

(32:55):
The regular, you know.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
Standard question I think the bell came, the bell,
the bell was first the bell wasdefinitely first what's the bell
?

Speaker 1 (33:01):
absolutely.
Can you actually explain the?

Speaker 4 (33:04):
bell a little bit too , because I was a little
confused on it too.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
Yeah, because it's not just like your normal bell,
right so basically they can dingthe bell themselves, like with
with their you know energy.
But it also detects emf in theair.
So the theory is that if aspirit gets near it it'll set
off an emf field and it'llactually set the equipment off
to start digging the bell yeah, just like something has to be

(33:28):
near it in order for it to gooff.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Okay, like it won't just go off.

Speaker 5 (33:30):
Okay, Like it won't just go off on its own?
No, it won't.
You know, same thing with theREM pod that was in the middle
of the room that was going off.
It needs a static electricityfield for it to go off.
So if you go up to it it'lldetect your static electricity.
So if nobody's near it and itgoes off, it doesn't go off by.
You know, stepping, stepping byit.

Speaker 3 (33:49):
you have to be really close to it to set it off right
and we have sit here and wehave debunked a couple of times
that like walkie talkies well, walkie talkies have set it off.
Also, a piece of lint that's onthe, that's on the antenna, like
a piece of hair or something, but it'll go off.
It'll go off, off and on.
Sometimes it'll go off and on,it depends on what the wind's
blowing, see.
That's why we try to debunk allthis, and while we were there

(34:12):
at the store we tried to sithere and debunk a lot of it.
I've looked.
I looked at it.
Laura was looking at some ofthe stuff and it was just
steadily freaking going.

Speaker 5 (34:21):
My favorite part was when I was sensing something
over near the vault oh my godwhich I didn't know at the time
that somebody had somebody saysomething in their ear that was
nobody was there.
Can I stop you?

Speaker 4 (34:34):
real quick.

Speaker 5 (34:35):
Sorry, I got to fill Jake in on this.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
Actually hold on.
I got to stop the whole thingfor a second.
Jake, can you sit up for asecond, like you're, like.
I need you to be a believerhere.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
You're slouching like .
You're like doubting this.
I'm not slouching, Hold on.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
Jake, Jake, just deep breath oh my gosh, no, no no,
you slouch it like this I'mslanted, is he not?
No, don't listen to him.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Is Rue here.

Speaker 5 (34:57):
No, I slouch naturally I have bad posture.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
I have bad posture, so I naturally slouch, it is not
some intentional showcase ofhow Jake okay, stay on track.

Speaker 4 (35:07):
Stay on track.
No, stay on track.
Don't believe it.
I need you to sit up straight.
Give me a little like hey, wegot the ghost hunters and I'm
going to be a believer.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Oh no, I'm excited.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
Real quick.
I got to fill Jake in on this.
This is good I need you to beopen, right now I am open.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
My portal is open, okay.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
This show sucks.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
This show sucks.

Speaker 4 (35:31):
So, so jake earlier in the night, before we do the
ghost hunting, uh, this girlcomes up to me.
I, I really wish I knew who itwas from the 666 club.
I, I, my brain.
I met so many people that night.
I'm sorry if you're listeningto this and I forget.
I'm so sorry, but she came upto me and she's like hey, is
this place haunted?
And I was.
She had no idea what the fuck, dude, this was like.

(35:51):
We weren't even going to dolike.
I didn't even invite anybody togo ghost hunting, by the way,
right, we, that just kind ofhappened naturally yeah, so um,
I was like that's so crazy.
You say that I was like whathappened?
She's like, oh my god.
She's like I was standing overby the vault and this like guy
like whispered in my ear do youneed help with something, or I I
can't.
I, I don't see it was I don'tremember what the words were.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Can I help you with that?

Speaker 5 (36:12):
something along the lines I think it was do you like
what you see?
Like what you see?
Okay, that was it.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
That was it that was actually what it was and gone,
and I was like that is so crazy.
You just fucking told me thatyou need to go tell these two,
alora and what you just said.
Right, and that'll happen bydefault.
So we didn't tell them this.
Yet we didn't tell alora ordavid, and then you got a crazy
reading.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
Wait, actually I was like yeah, yeah don't tell them
just yet.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
Don't tell them just yet.
Don't tell them just yet.
You guys got the craziestreading by the vault, correct,
wasn't there, didn't you get?

Speaker 5 (36:43):
something.
Well, no, I got a feeling.
I felt like there was somebodystanding near the vault.
So I I went over to see if Icould feel, because a lot of
times if there's somethinghappening there you can almost
go into the to the energy fieldand kind of feel it'll make your
hair stand up a little bit.
So I sensed something was overthere.
But as soon as I started goingover there the equipment just

(37:03):
started going off like almostlike followed me, like no, don't
go near the vault.
Yep, yeah, don't go near thevault.
I'd also like to point out alot of the employees.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
They all have stories there.
Almost every single one of themhas seen somebody.

Speaker 4 (37:17):
Or a fake thing or something by the vault.
Have you heard that, jake?
No one in Salem has ever toldyou that they've seen anything
by the vault, because he's anon-believer.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
They don't tell me these stories because they're
worried.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
I will question them you know it's uh so funny.
You bring that up because wewere there a couple of weeks ago
.
We went in there and uh,actually one of the gentlemen
that worked there, that wasthere that night I think it was
pattypatty yeah, patty, yeah, he
asked.
I asked him.
I was like, so you've seenanything you know witness
anything after we left.
I was like, so you seenanything you know witnessed

(37:51):
anything after we left.
He was like, yeah, just regularstuff, you know, knocks, bangs.
I think he said footsteps, Ican't remember.
But I know he said knocks andbangs and stuff.

Speaker 5 (38:02):
There's something definitely up on the top that
floor pacing.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
In the attic region.
I've been up there.
It's pretty gnarly up there, ohis it, it is yes he just
totally did that.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
So, um, okay, so we were now.
Now we're still upstairs atthis point right in the night
where we're we're doing allthese different.
You know, I feel like I had alot of conversation with the
ghost right I was kind of I was.
I was like, hey, you know, andyou guys taught me, ring the
bell once if it's yes, ring thebell no if it's twice, or
whatever we were doing.
Uh, and again, we have all thisfootage that we're gonna we

(38:38):
will show you after this episode.
So make sure you stick around, because you'll get to see the
little ghost hunting with us.
Yeah, jake will be.
We'll make jake jake watch it.
But now when we were.
There was something prettyfucking insane that happened.
That was pretty undeniable andwe caught it on camera.
I believe you brought out whatis the proper term for the
speaker that you brought out.

Speaker 5 (39:00):
We were using Well.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
I think we were using necrophonics Upstairs.

Speaker 5 (39:04):
Upstairs, yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
Necrophonics.

Speaker 5 (39:07):
Which is basically a data bank of just random sounds.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
Yeah, just gibberish and stuff.
You know, I'm not really biginto spirit boxes, I'm really
not.

Speaker 4 (39:19):
Okay, Jake, Okay Jake .
You've been hanging with Jaketoo long now.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
Can you explain exactly what a spirit box does,
please.

Speaker 5 (39:29):
But you've got to.
There's different levels.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Oh, there's different kinds.

Speaker 5 (39:34):
I use a PanaBox, which is ITC technology, which
is instrumentaltranscommunication.
It's a 1980s, I think, radiothat they've actually modified
to scan.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Gotcha.

Speaker 5 (39:47):
Which they also use, the DR-60, which is a recorder,
which is the same model, whichis pretty compelling.

Speaker 3 (39:55):
That's what we use down in the basement.

Speaker 5 (39:56):
Yeah, that's what I specialize in.
What we use down in thebasement is what I specialize in
.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
You guys went down to the basement.
Oh, we went down to thebasement.

Speaker 3 (40:04):
Nexphonics is what said Bobby's name.

Speaker 4 (40:07):
It said my last name.
It said my last name, it's inmy last name.
Yeah, yeah, it's in four namethat was what's happening right

Speaker 5 (40:14):
now, oh, is that okay ?
I was like oh, my god okay herewe go oh my

Speaker 4 (40:17):
god, I was like oh my god, it's creeping into the
episode now the new set isnecrophonics necrophonics.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
okay, gotcha, is that with an x or with a?

Speaker 5 (40:29):
A C.

Speaker 4 (40:30):
A, c Gotcha.

Speaker 5 (40:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (40:33):
Okay, now we're upstairs and remember I was
saying, can you say my name?
And we were all waiting for itto say Bobby, but we all heard
Shabinsky.
We heard my last name more thanwe heard my.
I didn't hear my first name.
We heard my last name.
No, I heard first and last youheard first and last.

Speaker 3 (40:51):
Heard the first.
I heard first and last.
Okay, and I was last.
Yeah, I heard I was right there, but I heard first and last.
That's why I was like oh shit, that's why I looked at you like
deer and headlights yeah, andyour last name is not a common
last name, right?

Speaker 4 (40:58):
it's not like smith, you know no it's, it's pretty up
there, it's it's up there andthen from there I think that's
when we all looked at each otherand I think I think it was even
patty was like oh, you want tosee some shit?
Yeah, we need to go to thebasement real quick.
Yeah, before we go to thebasement, there was another
thing that I re-watched thefootage right.

Speaker 1 (41:15):
There's another thing that happened that kind of blew
me awake and it happened twice.
Okay, right, so david wasasking it to ring the bell.
No, oh not say the next numberor letter or something in line
and he went, went one, two andit goes three.

Speaker 4 (41:34):
Oh, on the box.

Speaker 1 (41:36):
On the box, oh wow.
And then also held his fingersup and it goes three Insane, and
this is all on camera Again.

Speaker 4 (41:45):
we got this all on footage.
Like I said, after this episodeyou will be able to watch it on
here.

Speaker 1 (41:48):
Yeah, and that was me watching it back and I was just
like I almost forgot about that.
I completely forgot about that.
That just blew me away.

Speaker 4 (41:55):
I'm glad you brought that up.
Anything else upstairs beforewe go to the basement?
Anything else you guys couldthink of?

Speaker 1 (42:03):
The knocking was crazy.

Speaker 5 (42:06):
And then Noella popped out and was like are you
guys knocking?

Speaker 1 (42:12):
There was a mini story in there too.
Noella scared the shit out ofme when she popped out of the
curtain I just saw it moving andno one was really looking up
there.

Speaker 4 (42:17):
I just saw it going like this.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
And I was like so so.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
Jake, we were asking you know the ghost to say, hey,
if you're here, let us let us beknown.
And David was like can youknock?
And you would hear.
It was like that upstairs andnoelle was up there.
Yeah, by herself she comesrunning out.
She's like yo, what the fuckare you guys?
Fucking with me and then, so atfirst I'm kind of like, well,
she could be fucking with us.

(42:41):
Now she's standing out.
And then you asked again and itwent, that's what you heard I
mean, that's what you hear do wehave it on video?
uh, yes, it's very faint.
Okay, but what you hear?
Do we have it?

Speaker 1 (42:50):
on video.
Uh, yes, it's very faint Okay.

Speaker 4 (42:53):
But can you hear it?

Speaker 1 (42:53):
though Not really.
You got to turn your volume allthe way up.
Okay, Headphones Like like pushthem into your fucking ears,
okay.

Speaker 3 (43:00):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (43:00):
So, that's upstairs, or you can always imagine.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
She was down fast it.
Her reaction to it was 100legit right, it was like she
heard it and she's like no, I'mcoming down there where I feel
safe.

Speaker 4 (43:13):
Yeah well, noelle has no bullshit, she's gonna be the
first to be like bobby, whatare you doing?
But she, I'll tell you whatI'll be.
What's funny she was kind oflike jake on all this a little
bit.
She's kind of like I don't know.
And then after that night shewas like babe.
Did you hear that?
What was that?

Speaker 2 (43:28):
I heard that.

Speaker 4 (43:30):
The fuck.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
Oh, never mind.

Speaker 4 (43:33):
Debunked.
Debunked Jake was almost abeliever she was like babe, this
is something that's awesome.
I've never seen you so happy.
You're like in love with David.

Speaker 1 (43:45):
You're like you know I'm like voicing out to you
until 3 am.
She's like can you please go tobed?
She was watching it firsthand.
She's like can you please go?

Speaker 4 (43:50):
to bed.
She was watching it firsthand.
She's like can you please cometo bed?
I'm like, yes, but she'ssupportive of this.
She was really digging this, sookay, so that's upstairs.
I would say upstairs was active, it was good, but I was
terrified of downstairs, becauseI'm a big believer in this.
Downstairs, let's go, you know.
And then we go downstairs andthat's really the footage you're

(44:12):
about to see is about, probablyabout once we edit it out,
probably like five, six, eightfive to 10 minutes long.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
That basement is gnarly yeah, the basement.
The basement is also the sizeof the whole entire floor plan.
It's massive, it's big.

Speaker 1 (44:23):
I also like to point out that we went the wrong way.
Initially into a pitch blackroom With, like, a baby carriage
, yeah, and then Patty was justlike no, no, no, not that way,
not that way.
Why is there a baby?

Speaker 2 (44:34):
carriage downstairs, by the way, I put it down there
oh baby carriage it was like no,it was a prop for the haunted
house.
And we didn't have space for it, so if you think it just
magically appeared, no, jake, Ididn't like think that.

Speaker 4 (44:51):
So so we go downstairs now.
Uh, david and laura, how areyou guys feeling at this point
when we're downstairs?
What, what's the energy, what'sthe vibe that you guys are
picking up downstairs?

Speaker 5 (44:56):
I was definitely feeling something and I I don't
know if you noticed, but I justkept walking straight and
everybody was behind us and wewere like already in this room,
yeah, and that that center roombefore that last room, there's
something right there that pitchblack.
There's right, yeah, likethere's something there and
that's where I like kind ofcentered and stopped and waited

(45:18):
for everybody and everybody elseis like I'm gonna go wait over
here and I was just like in thisroom by myself for a minute and
I'm like I'm like I was feelingsomething and I'm like this is
gonna be good, yep, and we youknow, I mean, yeah, go ahead,
david.
No good, good like this isgoing to be good, Yep and we,
you know I mean yeah, go ahead, david.

Speaker 4 (45:30):
No good good.

Speaker 3 (45:31):
Oh, I'll just.
Whenever I went down there, youknow I felt calm, you know I
didn't feel like anything was,you know, down there.
I didn't feel like it was bador anything, yeah, no, I felt
the same way in the basement asI did at the haunted house.
Whenever we went there a fewweeks ago and walked through

(45:54):
felt basically the same.

Speaker 5 (45:56):
Is that part of the basement that we were in?
Is that under the haunt or isthat under the store?
No, it's under the store.

Speaker 4 (46:01):
You know it's so funny, but it's so funny You're
saying that because I just foundout that the haunt building Yep
oh that basement's evencreepier that.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
I heard that that was a play that was a play, like a
performance, like a like a likea theater, yeah, and there was
some crazy shit that I heardwent on.

Speaker 3 (46:17):
Yeah, that basement is gnarly so whatever you're
picking up down there, yeah, godavid and you know the thing is
about that harry houdiniperformed there and harry
houdini back in the day he usedto try to debunk psychics and
the paranormal field, so thatwas pretty interesting that he
performed there as well.

Speaker 4 (46:38):
That is cool.

Speaker 3 (46:39):
I remember we were talking about that.

Speaker 1 (46:41):
actually, I think that night we were talking about
Houdini and everything.

Speaker 4 (46:46):
It's cool because we got our third episode coming up
next week.
Actually, Our next episode isgoing to be Josh Balls from the
Ritz Theater.

Speaker 2 (46:55):
And I think Harry Houdini was a performer there.
He was a performer there.

Speaker 4 (46:59):
I feel like that name is going to pop up a lot as we
go through this haunted historyor ghost hunting, or whatever.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
I feel like Harry might make it on the wall.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
So he was an active debunker.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
He tried to debunk this kind of stuff.
Yes absolutely, I did not knowthat.
That's interesting, that's veryinteresting.

Speaker 1 (47:17):
I was so curious to hear what you guys felt when you
went down there, because Iimmediately as soon as we got
into that back boiler room, Igot this overwhelming heaviness
in my chest Downstairs is veryheavy to me.
Yes, I agree it heaviness ohdude downstairs was is very
heavy to me, yeah, and it waslike out of nowhere and as soon
as we left it was gone.
Because, like I thought it wasjust like maybe it was nerves,

(47:38):
maybe because like anticipation-something like that but for it
to like disappear as soon as wego back upstairs that's
interesting

Speaker 3 (47:47):
yeah, and the thing is I mean whenever you're going
down to like a basement or attic, I mean that's the spookiest
places in a building, or I meanwhenever you're going down to
like a basement or attic, I meanthat's the spookiest places in
a building or house, or whatever.
You're going to have a littlebit of anxiety, you know.
But you know say, whenever Iwent down there I felt calm,
everything was good, this andthat, but yet we felt there was
spirit down there.
Oh yeah, definitely not spirit.

(48:07):
That was upstairs.

Speaker 5 (48:08):
I feel like there was somebody waiting at that
entrance to that door rightbefore we entered that room.

Speaker 3 (48:13):
I was thinking maybe a maintenance guy or something
like that.
That's what I was picking up on, so I don't know well,
downstairs got active.

Speaker 4 (48:19):
Don't, don't forget, don't forget the video footage
we got and it's funny very itgot.
It got crazy.
It got more active downstairsthan it even was upstairs, I'd
say.
And the crazy part to this j is, you kicked this episode off by
starting about the history ofSalem.
Jake, sit up and be a believer.

Speaker 5 (48:33):
I'm leaving.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
He's like I'm leaving , I have bad posture, I'm giving
you shit.

Speaker 4 (48:40):
Jake.
Well, jake started this wholefamily, or this whole family,
this whole episode, off, kickingit off, of Salem history, and
he brought up the Bishop family.

Speaker 5 (48:49):
Now, yeah, now history and he brought up the
Bishop family.
Now, yeah, now.

Speaker 4 (48:51):
See, that's what I was going to say.
Yeah, now what was the name?
When we asked the ghost itsname, what did it say to us?

Speaker 5 (48:57):
Bishop yeah.

Speaker 4 (48:59):
And there's.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
Sarah Bishop, who was the first, that was the sister
of Bridget.

Speaker 5 (49:04):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (49:05):
Yeah, but when we asked, the name Bridget yeah.
It said Bishop.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
Yeah, it was loud.
It said Bishop.
More than once, I think, didn'tit.

Speaker 4 (49:14):
It did, but it wasn't a remember, it was a male.
We believe, though remember itwas a male figure.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
Okay, I do have a question because geographically
the bishops weren't necessarilyin that specific area, but I
believe you mentioned in thefirst episode that it's
plausible for spirits in ageneral area to, I guess, be in
other regions, right, oh?

Speaker 5 (49:41):
yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
I want to point that out because me and Jim the next
morning went looking the bishophousehold.
Oh, I don't know, this part wasactually behind the haunt
entrance, mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (49:57):
So when you go out, I feel like I researched this and
it did not say that when you go, out.

Speaker 1 (50:02):
it was just over to the right.
There's like all those housesright there.

Speaker 4 (50:06):
Yeah, I know it was in there, so that would be in
that radius.
I'm sure.
Close right, I don't know, or Idon't know.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
Whether it was Sarah or Bridget's house, I have no
idea, but it was definitely amale figure that we picked up.

Speaker 4 (50:19):
I have no idea, but it was definitely a male figure
that we picked up.
We picked up a male bishopfigure, correct?

Speaker 3 (50:24):
I mean is that what you guys agree to that?
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
And I think the Bridget wasclose to that area, sarah, I
think was a couple of blocksaway.

Speaker 5 (50:33):
I think she had a deli or something.

Speaker 3 (50:35):
Yeah a deli or something like that.

Speaker 5 (50:36):
She had a restaurant or something around the corner,
yeah, but shit, a restaurant, yeah, yeah, around the corner,
yeah, but I mean it's all in thesame area, I mean, and I think
that property was originally umhawthorne's, oh the hawthorne
yeah, yeah, the hawthorne hotel.

Speaker 3 (50:47):
I mean, that's the most haunted fucking thing in
salem.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
I would love to do a hawthorne hotel.

Speaker 5 (50:51):
We stayed there.
Oh yeah, what was your?
Experience like uh, the firstnight, the first day that we I
checked in, he went right intothe bathroom.
I shut the door and I'm frontdoor, the front door to the room
, and I'm standing there and allof a sudden, I look over, the
doorknob turns and opens and I'mjust like sitting there staring
at it.
He comes out of the bathroomlike that door just opened up by

(51:12):
itself and I know I shut it off.
Yeah, always shut the hotelrooms like okay, and then last
two weekends ago, we went downand we stayed in the haunted
room, uh-huh yeah, which we hadshut all the lights off before
we left to go out to dinner.
We came back and the light inone of the bedrooms was on.

Speaker 3 (51:27):
Yeah, the light in the second bedroom.

Speaker 5 (51:28):
And then we had some weird noises all night.

Speaker 3 (51:30):
Oh yeah, it sounded like somebody being drowned.
Yeah, like gurgling water.

Speaker 5 (51:40):
It was so weird.
Yeah, we could not figure itout.

Speaker 3 (51:42):
I was like you know it came down to it.
I was like, man, we're justgoing to say it's a toilet or
something, and then I gotdeathly sick that night.
Oh yeah, you did, and there wasrumors.

Speaker 5 (51:50):
Rumors of people getting sick in the room.
I was up all sick and I waslike I don't think I can stay
there anymore.

Speaker 3 (52:02):
Wow, interesting, beautiful hotel.
I love that hotel Fucking.

Speaker 4 (52:06):
Salem man Fucking Salem Jakes doesn't believe it,
yeah, jakes.

Speaker 5 (52:10):
Oh my God, you guys are shut up, I think.

Speaker 4 (52:13):
I'm going to say by episode 10, he'll be a believer,
I feel it in my soul.

Speaker 2 (52:18):
I have to experience something firsthand the 30th.

Speaker 4 (52:22):
So so, david and Laura, before we let you guys go
here.
So what would you say?
You know, blackcraft Salem, would you say, it's you got to
come check it out?
Well, I mean, what would yousay?
Well, this is haunted, hauntedor not?

Speaker 3 (52:32):
Yeah, yeah, it is haunted.
It's not you know nothing bad,or?

Speaker 2 (52:41):
nasty.

Speaker 3 (52:41):
I mean it's basically yeah, spirit there just wants
to be acknowledged and they Imean we were sitting here, we
acknowledged them and they cameback and they acknowledged us.
So, yeah, it's definitely agreat location.
It really is.
I mean, it blew my mind as fastas everything went off and,
like I said, you know I'm askeptic 100% too, as well.

(53:02):
I believe that 90% of it can bedebunked and the other 10
possibly could be unexplained.
I sent a review with him aboutit.

Speaker 5 (53:11):
She always is with me .
It's like me and Jim.

Speaker 3 (53:14):
Bobby's always like it happened yeah it's got
activity, 100% it's got activity.

Speaker 4 (53:22):
Be found out first-handed Right Stay tuned,
sorry, go ahead, no, go ahead, dude Real quick.

Speaker 3 (53:32):
I was about to say, the more you investigate it too
as well, the more activists it'sgoing to get.
It's going to learn.

Speaker 5 (53:38):
Spirits have to learn the equipment.
Once they learn how to use theequipment, it could go to get to
.
Spirits have to learn theequipment Once they learn how to
use the equipment it could goinsane.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
Exercise with the demons.
We're like no juice man.

Speaker 4 (53:49):
I like this shit.
I mean stay tuned, David andLaura, because we got episode
three with Josh Balls, who's avery near dear friend of mine.
Are you guys familiar with JoshBalls?

Speaker 5 (53:59):
No, I'm going to send you some info on josh he's.

Speaker 2 (54:03):
He's one of my best friends, a wonderful human.

Speaker 5 (54:05):
This guy is a collector of everything dead um,
I mean, it's the best way todescribe him.
I was like I'm surprised wedon't know him.
I know I'm very surprised youguys don't know him.

Speaker 4 (54:13):
He's a very he's very famous in that world, for sure
very strange and unusual verystrange yeah, that's awesome.

Speaker 3 (54:19):
That's awesome.
I a collector too.
I've got all kinds of wetspecimens and haunted objects.

Speaker 5 (54:23):
We have haunted objects all over our place.
Josh got a human face.

Speaker 4 (54:28):
He's got a book bound in human skin.
He's got something I don't evenknow if I'm allowed to say all
this he's got a lot of crazyshit.
But he's got a theater that weare about to talk about for next
episode, and it is very, very, very fucking haunted, because
I've been there.
It's also beautiful.
I didn't see anything, but Idefinitely felt things.

(54:49):
I can't wait to dive into hisstories, but I'm thinking, as we
were discussing on episode onehow we were talking about we
want to go ghost hunting indifferent places, this might be
a place where because I know youguys, guys do that right um,
where can everyone that'slistening check out, uh, if they
want to join in on your guysghost hunting or anything like
that, is there a website?

Speaker 3 (55:09):

Quick take, I'll give you a three, actually.
I'll take it I have a hard timebelieving that there's four
people right now experiencingsomething that didn't happen.

Speaker 5 (56:02):
You know what I mean, obviously something happened.

Speaker 2 (56:05):
I'm just, it's hard for me to comprehend and dissect
because, just for some very oddreason, my body is just my body
.
My mind, my spiritual self isjust completely cut off to it,
and it's so very hard for me tonot understand it.
I can understand it.
It's hard for me to experienceit.
So then I can really fullyunderstand it, you know so all

(56:25):
right well it's a fair take um,thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
I mean, the thing is thing is real quick.
Well, we need to get you to dosome of our other experiments
and, uh, maybe to open you up alittle bit more as long as we
weren't able to you do what weusually do, you know so.
