Jeremie is a guitarist, composer, violinist, and teacher whose versatility spans classical, jazz, Afrobeat, and beyond. From accompanying artists with just a guitar and pedals to composing an orchestral piece performed by Symphony Nova Scotia, Jeremy’s journey is as dynamic as his sound.

We dive into his musical roots (including switching from violin to guitar to explore ‘more colours’), the creative process behind writing for an orchestra, and the discipline—or lack thereof—that shaped his early years. Jeremy also opens up about overcoming existential dread as a teenager and how embracing life’s impermanence fuels his artistry today.

Plus, hear Jeremy debunk the ‘myth’ of his perceived perfectionism (spoiler: he’s ‘just a regular ass guy’) and tease his upcoming solo project under the moniker Nova Fiasco—a deeply personal exploration of identity through music. And yes, he treats us to a mesmerizing guitar performance live in the studio.

Jeremie Boudreau, aka NovaFiasco, is a pan-genre creative, composer, and producer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

A classically trained violinist, now full-time guitarist, the guitar makes up a significant part of his musical expression and sound. He has played as a soloist with orchestra, leads his own jazz trio, and has played and recorded for acts in the realm of pop, rock, R&B, and hip-hop. He also lends his wide creative vocabulary to music directing, production, and collaborative writing.

The sound of his instrumental compositions stems from the variety of styles and genres he works under, primarily lying in modern jazz and contemporary classical. Additionally, his music has been premiered at the Halifax Jazz Festival and by Symphony Nova Scotia at the 2025 Open Waters Festival. His instrumental writing also informs his guitar language and solo material, carving for him a rich, unique musical style and identity while working in and out of popular music.
