Number one, the game is amazing.
I love it.
It's fun.
It's different.
It's like an amalgamation ofthings like Tetris and then it's
like some added features to it.

So how did you get started indoing, like, you're building your
app for your mobile game andthe concept.
So it.
I started making games.
I was like the eighth grade.
I just went to Google andsaid, how do you make games?
And the program popped up andI downloaded and I taught myself
over time.

Now, with Panic Gym, how itstarted was.
It was back in 2013.
Yeah, back in 2013, there wasa girl I liked, and she was.
We were at my boy's house, andshe was playing Candy Crush on her
phone.
Hey, what's that?
So she's like, oh, yes.
This game called CandyCrusher, back then, it just came
out.
So it was hot.
So, okay, cool.

I downloaded.
I played it.
I'm like.
And this is no offense toanybody at King, but I was like,
this sucks.
So I just said, you know, Ithink I can make something better
than that.
So it started out, I just madea quick.
It was like a littlecompilation of demos called Cookies,

and I had a game called JimCrash up there.
And it kind of was like a realprototype of what you see now.
And a guy played it.
His name was Lloyd.
He was like, hey, Caleb, Ithink you have something with this
one right here.
You should really lean into that.
So honestly, a lot of thegame, especially in the beginning,
was just me figuring stuffout, throwing things at the wall.

I was a waiter at the time, sohow I got that.
Some of the characters wasliterally just people that walked
in as customers.
I was like, that would be agood custom, you know, character.
If I exaggerate this, I'll gohome and draw it.
The colors of the charactersin terms of outfits, just because
that's the only color pin I had.
Like, it was.
It was a lot of stuff likethat that was just kind of thrown

together.
And then over time, I, youknow, curled it out and got people
to help me who were.
Saw the vision and could helpme out.

He actually created the songand wrote the lyrics, and I got Toasty

And I do like that because,yeah, if it was really just Tetris

The composition of all thedifferent elements of it, because

Steam, which I love as a PC person.
But, like, for mobile games,like, I def.
I don't play any of the sametype of games that I play on mobile
that I play on PC.

All these different thingsthey'll play on their phone.
I'm not playing none of thaton mobile.

So these are the types ofgames that I do play.
On mobile.
So I definitely like that it'sjust a gentle mobile game.

I like that you can becompetitive, you can have a good

So I, I'm not making afighting game because fighting games
are number one.
They're very expensive andthey're very, very timing intensive.
So I'm not making one yet.

So as, as you see, as some ofthe people who watch at home there,
I show some of the gameplayand just to show you just like it's,

adjust things and slide yourrolls left to right so everything
matches up and.

So it, yeah, like it's a, it'sreally fun.
And I think like you mentionedCandy Crush.

definitely I, I think it islike with the gyms and everything
and the moving of like goodness.

The gems and everything.
Like, I think that's a coolaspect to it that, you know, you

don't get in Candy Crush orany of the derivatives because Candy
Crush isn't even the first one.
But that's one of the mostpopular ones.

That has stood the test of time.
But yeah, I think this is,this is a cool like combination of
mobile type games that stillhas its own difference.

I was really just trying to inthe beginning flip Tetris upside
down, which from a design sideof things you would actually think
that would be easy.
But no, in the very beginningthere was a lot of things because
I was coming up with problemsthat, you know, Tetris and was a
game that influenced me too.

You know, these games hadalready figured out, but for mine,
when you're moving thingsaround, like in Tetris, when you
move a piece, once you putthat piece down, right, you don't
have to really worry aboutanything shifting around.
But for me you're alwaysshifting roles and stuff is always
falling.
So there would be times I'mmoving stuff around and it would
fall at the same time youshift it so now you get two gems

in one spot.
You're just like, ah.
So I had to come up with allthese mechanical solutions to things.
So that was, you know, thatwas kind of the interesting part
of it.
But, yeah, that was really the idea.
Just take it and flip it onhis head.
And it's funny becauseeverybody says it's not.
It's not as hard as you thinkit is.
I'm like, yeah, there aremodes, though.

I held my own for a good 30seconds on both.
I was just like, oh, I get theconcept from the demo.

An attempt was made.
So, yeah, it's Buzz Kill Zero.
Buzz Kill Zero is a differentbeast when it comes down to difficulty.
That's.
That's.
That's not like Panic Gym,especially on the hardest difficulties,

So the way the difficulty works.
In Buzzkill 0, you have levelone, that's the easiest.
Level two, level three, andthen level 999, that's the hardest.

Just skipped right past it.

Why Safari decides I'm justgonna jump to level 999 first try.
Ego.

That's crazy.
I'm throwing everything at you.
So, you know, it starts outlike Galaga, right?
And you have the enemypatterns, and the other difficulties,
they just fire more.
But at level 999, I have allof them fire at you at the same time
while shooting their regular patterns.

The hardcore galaxy.
This is the old version of thegame right here.

So for Panic Gym Odyssey withyour cinematic trailer, and I'm looking

at your characters, the ideabehind it, I'm seeing.
I'm seeing kids comic or show or.
That animation is pretty nice.
Like it's just simple,straight to the point, not over complicated.
What's the storyline for it?
So the storyline.

I'll give you the Cliff Notes.
So about several thousandyears ago, you had humanity.
They were exploring the entireknown universe.
Top dog, you know, they had awhole empire with different planets,
and they had a capital planetcalled Planet Paradise.
So the reason why they wereable to do this is because they had

come up with thisrevolutionary technology that they
use inside of the gyms.
Another alien race came about,got jealous, said, we're gonna attack
Planet Paradise.
Her, the king and the queenthat you see, they were actually
the king and queen during that invasion.
The king decides, okay, youknow what?
I can defend Planet Paradise.

(58:14):
We'll be okay.
I'm gonna send my queen andsome of the other people to Earth.
They could go there.
And then once I get rid of theissue, the problem here, I'll come
get you guys.
We'll come back to Planet Paradise.
So she leaves.
The people come to settle Earth.
They're waiting on him.
He never comes.

(58:34):
They all die, you know,generations go on and go on and go
on.
As time has gone on, thestoryline of Planet paradise and
coming to Earth and everythinghas kind of become like a legend.
So now you get to the current times.
You have the main villain,Gander, and he.
He has like a corporation thatloans money out to different countries.

(58:59):
And he loans so much money outto the countries that they can't
pay him back.
So then he says, you will justserve my company as like a Vassal.
So he basically enslaves othercountries through debt.
That's very doom like of him.
It's also pretty realistic, but.

(59:19):
So he does this to everysingle country except for one.
And this one country actuallyhas recorded every single person
who's a descendant of Tiana Carr.
That's the queen that camefrom her all the way down to Paris,
who is the girl with the Afropuffs.
So she's a direct descendantof her.
Gander tries to make a dealwith them.

(59:40):
Hey, join my.
My corporation or else.
That's basically the deal.
Join or else.
They say, no, we're not doing it.
We have a history here.
We have a culture.
We're not going to get rid ofthis and join your corporation.
He says, okay, no problem.
He rolls in, blows the place up.
They hide Paris in order totry to preserve the lineage.

(01:00:03):
Several.
And she's six years old at the time.
So several weeks pass, she'sjust hitting nobody.
So she comes out, the place isblown up, she can't find anybody.
So she's rolling through theforest for six months by herself

(01:00:23):
at six years old.
That's crazy.
Jesus.
Meanwhile, as part of Gander'sactual corporation, there's like
a lower class, which is mostpeople, and then there's kind of
like an upper class.
So Max is about eight at thattime, and he is actually part of
the upper class right now theyhave a law.

They're not allowed to go playin the forest.
But Max is kind of rambunctious.
If you play the game, youknow, Max is kind of silly.
So he, he does what he wants.
So he goes out, plays in theforest, finds Paris, takes it to
her parents.
Hey, I found this girl.
Oh.
She starts trying to tell themabout her country.
They don't know the type ofstuff Ganda does, so they think she's
crazy, but they like her.

(01:01:07):
So they actually adopt her.
And her and Max, they'readopted brother and sister.
So by the time you actuallyget to the game now she's 13 and
he's 15.
So what's ended up happeningis Gand is now like, wait a minute,
I know this girl.
She was part of that.
I gotta get her.
So now she decides to run.

(01:01:28):
Max is like, nope, if youleave, I'm leaving with you.
So they go out together.
As they're leaving, I forgotto mention something.
I got to go back now.
So way back with Sienna Car.
They actually had some gemsthat they brought with them from
Planet Paradise.
Right.
While they were here on Earth,a small group of the Aliens that

(01:01:49):
invaded planet paradise foundthem on Earth.
They went to battle.
They managed to defend Earth.
So what she said was, we can'tuse these things to live like we
were doing before.
If they come back and they'regoing to come back and fight us again,
we have to be prepared.
So she goes and hides them indifferent places.
So coming back to present day,Paris was taught about them being
hidden.

She doesn't know exactly wherethey're hidden.
So once you get to today andthey're running, go.
Go figure.
Max being Max rambunctious, hehappens to find some.
So she's like, oh, I neverthought I'd see these.
But if we use these, we couldprobably overthrow Gander.

Well, that's actually Max'sidea, but you get the point.
So the whole idea is they'renow going through because now Gandhis
realizes that these things arereal and he actually wants to use
