Liz is in the building.
Thank you.
Thank you, honey.
I just did my makeup.
It's been a while with the makeup.

(06:49):
Yeah, I haven't worn makeup.
I haven't worn makeup in aminute, to be quite honest.
I think.
Well, you could have fooled me.
Black women always look good.
So there it is.
So other than that, how's theweekend been for you?
It's.
It, it's been good.
Oh, God, I'm forgetting thatwe had a whole weekend that happened.

(07:11):
Rested, played some videogames, did some streaming.
I watched Sinners again forthe third time and.
Yeah, and that movie's amazing.
Thunderbolts is up on Saturday.
But I didn't give them any ofmy money.
I got it.
I got a.
A voucher, so.
Oh, Operation Ghost Protocolgoes down Thursday for those who

(07:37):
know.
Who know.
So.
Yeah.
Yeah, I beat me.
Yeah.
We need a life check on Mel.
Mel, you all right?
So what have you.
So I guess we'll jump rightinto it real quick.

(07:57):
Not the whole news part of it,but just touching on it.
Go see Centers.
I'm just saying.
Go see centers.
There he is.
Actually, I had to check myfellow Melanated co worker and because
we.
It's been two weeks and I lether slide for two weeks and I rolled

(08:18):
up on her on Monday.
I'm like, you went.
Did you go see?
I'm going this weekend.
That's all I got.
That's all I'm going this weekend.
Don't tell me nothing.
Don't do nothing.
Just give me a moment.
Said.
All right.
You got till the end of the week.
That's all I'm saying.
So yeah, it's, I.
It's definitely what you wantto do.

(08:39):
You need to go see now you.
We'll just say one more day.
Because once Thunderbolts hit,you know how that, that, this weird,
this weird rotation.
This is why theaters need tobring back their run or at least
make that 45 day run longer list.
Let's stop playing.
Yeah, but you know what?
I think they would have bootedSinners anyway for a Marvel property.

(09:03):
They would have booted it out of.
Out of IMAX.
I mean, it's already expectedto hit like 160 or something.
It'll be all right.
They're gonna make their money.
It's gonna be a slow burn.
I'm hearing good things.
I'm hearing good things.
So.
Excuse me.
So it's just.
It's necessary, but yes,please, if.
If you can't see it in a 70millimeter theater, go see it in
IMAX.
Go see it and XD I'm support.

(09:26):
I'm.
I'm so disappointed in you.
So disappointed.
Like a short.
This.
What is the difference between4, 4 XD.
I, I get it.
It's the whole.
You get dirty old water splashin your face when you up your hair.
What is xd?
XD is just X is just very clear.

(09:47):
It's just a very clear picture.
Very clean.
The crisp sound.
It's.
It's imax, but it's the imax,little brother.
That's what it is.
Why don't y'all just give us that?
Y'all charging us 30 a goddamnticket as it is.
Just give me the.
If y'all got better put outthe better.
Yeah, so I, I, I.
Cinemark.

(10:07):
I love you to death.
Been a fan.
Been a member of the.
Of the movie club for years now.
Tell them to change their.
Tell them to change Theater 13to an IMAX theater.
That way I don't have to goacross town.
I think they gotta, like, knock down walls.
And to give you.
If you go from a regular screen.
Then knock down walls.

(10:32):
I think, you know, the whole building.
Because the, the.
I think the.
The IMAX that I go to, the real.
The real one, it's on acompletely different floor, completely
by itself.
Like, there is no room.
Look, there's time.
There's.
There's what, the mainconcession stand.
Then there's one on this side, and then there's one on.

(10:52):
You can.
You can shorten one of those.
Let's be honest, I didn't sayeliminate, but you can shorten them.
So that's.
That's a lot of work.
That's a lot of work.
Just build another one.
Just build it up, throw it up.
Just do it.
Yeah, yeah, it's fine.
Show y'all was in the building.
What's going on?
Wait, no, wait.

(11:14):
It's her.
Surprise.
No, because I wasn't ready.
I wasn't ready.
I was looking at the commentsand everything.
I was like, oh, wait, okay.
Surprise look.
But it was so cute.
Her surprise look was like,oh, hey.
I've been on camera all day today.
It feels like I.
I just been like, oh, my goodness.

(11:34):
But you know, you gotta do it.
You gotta do it.
Sometimes it's the work job.
You all right?
You paid your bill, Yourelectric bill.
What's going on?
Yeah, you can't see me.
Huh?
I turned on.
Oh, I turned on my.
My light.
I don't ever turn on my light.

(11:55):
Coming to get you, baby.
You gotta, you gotta.
It's not Even the bill.
This is literally just.
This is my webcam.
Like, I just never turned it on.
I only turned it on becauseI've been.
It's been on all day.
Like, I got you.
I got it.
Let's just say people seeingbrothers and sisters, that's been
seeing sinners, it' made thembe a little more cautious.

(12:17):
That's crazy.
Yeah.
Nah, this.
I love that.
It's like, the talk, like, everywhere, everyone is still talking
about sinners.
I love that.
Like, it's like, hey, keep mein this.
I have not been mad atanything I've seen that's been like,
every.
When I'm scrolling and I seesomething about sinners, I just look

(12:37):
at them like, okay, that's funny.
Or, you know, that's cool.
Or I see you like, I feel you.
I agree.
Or like, it's cool.
Let's just say when you wantto get paid, you know, it's a thing.
So now it's just make sure youget paid for doing the job you're
supposed to do.

(12:58):
Not the blurry, censored photo.
This ain't a photo.
This is my PC.
This.
This my baby.
Okay?
This.
This.
This is what is running me.
Okay?
She just got her backgroundblurred out, so.
Yeah.
Yeah, y'all can't see some ofthe nefarious dealings.
That so in here.
Because y'all know I stayinjured, unfortunately.

(13:21):
So that is fair.
I had to go to the podiatrist today.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, I gotta.
She got adult things happening.
Another injury.
I've been hopping around thisroom every time I can, you know,
that sounds like.
I know how you feel.

(13:41):
Is it tendinitis, plantar fasciitis?
That's what I.
I do have that right now.
No, but this hurting bad.
And honestly.
So she thinks it's this.
So we're gonna go like, it'salready been two weeks, and so this
is.
God, for the next two weeks.
I gotta deal with this.
And then she said, if it'sstill the same amount of pain, then

(14:04):
I need to get an ultrasoundbecause I did have a crack.
Like, so.
So, yeah, we're just gonna see.
You know, the youngest of usis getting the olds.
What is going on?
Hey, it's.
It's me trying to.
Where?
Every time I be on a roll withworking out, I promise you, it's
like.

(14:24):
It's like everybody that isrooting against me in the privacy
of their home is winning.
Like, whoever it is, I don'tknow who it is, but every time I
work out and I'm like on a roll.
Like two weeks, three weeks, a month.
I'm going strong.
Good.
Seeing results.
It's like injury.
Yeah.
You finna stop?
She need to talk.

(14:45):
She need an Annie in her life.
She needs an Annie in her lifeto put some.
Put some root work down.
And you know what she needs ahex bag.
I know a couple people.
Tell them to put my name somewhere.
You gotta wear somethingstinky for like.
Two weeks, but not stinky.

(15:05):
We gotta.
We'll.
We'll set you up.
You have to swallow a clove of garlic.
I don't care if you don't like it.
Hey, I can do that.
I can do that.
I.
I don't like it, but I'llswallow a club.
Ain't.
Hey, it's not.
It's not as bad.
I ain't gotta kiss nobody.
I was gonna say it's the after effects.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
I mean.
What you mean?
That garlic gonna sit in yourbody for a lot.
I got a month.

(15:25):
I got a month until I kiss somebody.
It's gonna be okay.
Yeah.
You know her face.
We love when show yo has a bigsmile on her face.
Hey, man, I like hercheekbones today, you know?
Yeah.
You know, that was so cute.
Now says it.
You so funny.
Look.
Now says, somebody put a.

(15:46):
A hand on your feet.
Oh, my God.
Crazy out here.
So I have been.
It's funny because LadyMandalore has been playing Jedi Survivor
streaming.
And while she's playing it andI'm watching her streaming, I'm playing

(16:07):
it as well.
I know it.
But here's the thing.
The Sunday she was.
It was Sunday.
You were playing it, right?
Was it Sunday or Saturday?
Friday.
Friday and Saturday.
And I was playing.
I'm watching it.
And literally, I had just dida trial run on Outlaws.

(16:27):
That demo.
Yeah.
Oh, you don't like it?
Oh, you know what?
I think I need to change.
I had to change.
I have to change the settingbecause it was giving me the audible
direction, and I didn't want that.
Oh, yeah.
And I hate it.
And that's what I hated.
I'm like.
It was annoying.
Here, open this door.
I know to open the door.

(16:48):
Get away.
And I was like, did I hit.
I hit.
I hit the button too soon.
Trying to just hurry up andget it, you know?
And I'm like, oh, crap.
I don't.
You know, other than that, Ithink it's a good run.
It's a good.
It's a good play.
It's a good play.
So when I was talking to LadyMandor while she was streaming.
I said, yeah, I'm looking fora horse on.

(17:10):
On Survivor.
And I'm like, wait a minute.
No, that's wrong.
I'm playing Survivor.
Horses on Outlaws.
Sorry, who's a horse?
Yes.
I was very confused.
Okay, I'm gonna keep playingmy game, but I.
I do not know this, man.
Yeah, I was thinking ofOutlaws and I was playing Survivor.

(17:32):
That's what it was.
I like.
I literally just, like, started playing Survivor where I
just met up with Greece, so.
Oh, yeah.
Like, I'm.
I'm searching through all of that.
Wait a minute.
I'm so sorry, sir.
I need y'all to hit themgoddamn, like, buttons.
What are we here for?
Oh, Lord.
You scared the hell out of me, Christy.

(17:53):
Thank you.
She's security outside.
I need y'all to put in onthis, all right?
We're not taking no woodencorn, no wooden nickels, all right?
We need straight cash for the juke.
All right?
I need y'all to be up in this.
We don't have any remixrunning around here, but we need
our coins.

(18:14):
If you don't want to eat aclove of garlic, I need you to hit
a, like, button, please.
Not if you don't.
It's right there.
There's right there at the bottom.
We passing out garlic phase atthe door.
You want to spot check, youknow, and they be like, you don't
want.
To end up like a guy who wascheating in dice.
Let's just put it that way.
Y'all just made me think of,like, college, when they would be

(18:36):
like, you gotta take a shot toget in.
Drug before they get to the party.
I will never forget.
Okay?
I remember because, you know,I don't drink.
And I looked at my friend andI said, well, we can go.
She said, I don't mind takingit for you.
And I said, okay.

(18:58):
But the guy was trying not tolet her take it, and the other guy
was like, let her take it.
And I was just like, what is this?
What's wrong with you?
Like, like, don't drink that.
No, we good.
We're gonna go back to that.
We ain't got to do all that.
We ain't got to do it.
What up, ball nerd?
What it is, Annie?

(19:18):
But, yeah, that's like, hey,you better eat this, and then you
can come in.
Like, you can eat it and thencome in, man.
We need some blurred likesFellowshipping with no bs.
Facts, facts.
Mel.
Mel's counting the money atthe door.
Yeah, not counting them.
Security.

(19:39):
Everybody Everybody got a rollright now.
It's crazy.
Deacon.
Deadlift's got the.
Is just run a little bitbehind so we.
Yo, lock the doors.
Lock the doors.
Lock the doors.
No, lock the doors.
Lock them doors.
No, we're not letting out the.
Nope.
Lock the airlock.

(20:01):
They know dang well they waswrong for that.
Oh, the red papers.
That was.
That was money.
Yeah, that was money in.
In sinners.
That was.
That was money for.
For the slave folk.
Because it's not real money.
You only can spend it on the place.

(20:22):
Exactly.
Which is crazy.
Yeah.
But, you know, I love theconversations that this movie has
raised.
100.
Oh, maybe I'm frozen.
No, you're not frozen.
I see.
I see you moving, girl.
I think I'm frozen.
You're fine.
Oh, she must be in her ownloop because she ain't even hearing
us.
Yep, she went glitchy.

(20:43):
She in the loop.
No, I love the conversationsthat this.
This movie has.
Me too.
Start up, stirred up.
It is.
It's something worth checking out.
Yeah, there she is.
She had a glitch in the Matrix.
No, I was saying.
I was saying I love what the movie.
This movie's conversations andwhat it started and the people have.

(21:06):
Who have tried to be negative about.
Have failed miserably.
Like, just read the.
Like, mind your business.
If it's not for you, it's notfor you.
But, you know, in other words, he.
Wanted a piece of the pot.
No, no, no, you didn't.
No, you didn't.
I'm crying.
I don't.

(21:26):
I don't know what anybodycould get out of this movie that
was bad.
Like, just like from any ofthe perspectives that I've been seeing.
It's just like, I don't evenneed to read this.
I mean, honestly, I'm ablocker anyway.
I'ma block you if you say youdon't like chocolate chip cookies.
So for this, it's just like,if I see you say something stupid

(21:47):
about sinners, you just got blocked.
Like, I'm not.
I don't need to see you nomore because it's just like, this
was unnecessary.
Yeah, I liked it.
But where.
See, this was what we notgonna do.
My favorite.
My fa.
Semi.
Favorite one was.
Oh, I was disappointed in it.
Block.
Oh, really?
Damn, that's crazy.

(22:07):
This I.
I really do believe.
And I.
We've said it now.
He said, I've got the 245.
My mojo pouch.
I'm not taking no long ass pisses.
Me and Spartan protector thefront, so.
But Yeah, I.
I think what's happening ispeople hating.
This is creating.

(22:29):
And we say.
We stated it on the showbefore, it's creating a new.
A new filmmaker, a newcinematographer, a new writer, a
new actor or actress iscreating a new special effects artist
because this film is creatinga new stage.
And I guarantee you that someyears down the line, someone's gonna

(22:50):
accept an award saying, RyanCoogler's Film Centers changed how
I viewed filming, or itchanged my course in life to get
into this.
Into this entertainment business.
So, yeah.
Yeah.
So, yeah, that.

(23:11):
Man.
Oh, man, I.
I don't.
I remember seeing the thingy'all say in the chat, but I just.
For me, it's just like, therewas actually.
There was so much culturalrepresentation in that movie.
And then also, just, like, they all stood for what they needed
to stand for.
Like.
Like, the people that werecomplaining about, oh, well, where

(23:34):
did the.
The Choctaw go?
Let's be for real, like.
And then, oh, well, you know, the.
The china.
It's like, okay, yeah, theyhad a purpose.
They were there for.
They were there for a longerperiod of time because they meant
something different.
And it's just like, they allserved their purpose.

(23:54):
They were there for a reason, and they served their purpose.
They didn't.
They didn't have to be therethe entire movie.
What's up to Fire.
They didn't have to be there, you know, for 30 whole minutes, like,
days.
Just served their purpose.
Like, it.
And this wasn't a movie thatwas shown, like, even for me, like,
when you said people said theyfelt disappointed, it's like, I don't

(24:16):
even know how you feel disappointed.
Maybe that's just me, becauseI didn't really.
I wasn't.
Personally.
I remember when y'all wassitting in the beginning, like, months
ago, I was like, I'm not goingto see this movie.
I don't give a.
About vampires.
Like, I'm just not that person.
Like, but I.
You know, it's like, I didn'twatch any trailers, really, after
the initial one.
I didn't have anything to bedisappointed by.

(24:36):
But there's really nothing tobe disappointed by.
Like, everything served its purpose.
I.
What made you go see it?
I just gave in.
It was just like, you knowwhat it.
Y'all saying?
It's good.
I got a free movie ticket.
I ain't been to the moviessince last year sometime.
And whenever that was, youknow, I'm usually a movie person,

(24:59):
but I canceled mysubscription, so I haven't seen movies,
so I just haven't been seeing them.
So I was like, you know what?
I'm gonna use this ticket andI'm gonna go see it and check it
out.
So, you know, I loved it.
You got a winner.
Yeah, I've been.
Apparently I've had that thingfor a long time.
Okay.
So I'm glad I used it.

(25:20):
You know, there was.
There was someone's account.
I can't remember who it was,but they was giving their account
on their viewing of the film.
And after the entire film wasplayed, after the credits and everything,
he said there was a smallAsian, elderly Asian man sitting
next to him.
And he.
Whis.
He said to himself, wow, thatwas amazing.

(25:47):
There's really no other way toput this film.
It's performed very well, I think.
It's been 141 milliondomestically, 161 million as of yesterday,
161 million globally.
It made its money.
Yeah.
Which we knew was gonna happen.

(26:07):
It made its money back, andpeople are still going to see it.
So once.
Once this past weekend rollsout, we'll.
We'll see the smallest drop inany film history for a second week.
Drop.
It.
It was estimated to be at 27 drop.
And then it dropped down to 14.

(26:27):
Then it dropped down to 4, 10,and then it ended up actually being
6%.
So they.
I'm.
I'm.
Oh, I don't want to jinx it.
I.
I have a feeling this.
This weekend coming is thereal test.
Because the Thunderbolts.

(26:48):
Yeah, it's the real thing.
I mean, but that's.
No.
In the.
In the sense of how much moneyisn't thunderbolts gonna make?
Because this is still.
Oh, I think that'll be.
But see, here's the thing.
My observation of Sinners hasactually been.
It seems like from my.

(27:08):
How I have seen people talkingabout it and the people that I've
seen talk about about it isthat a lot of people that went to
see it on the first week thatit came out and the people that are
talking about it are black.
Now, that's fine.
Completely fine.
But if we're thinking about, you know, how the money is made,

(27:29):
it seems like it's reallybeing made from us.
Like, I'm sure that there areother people and cultures seeing
it too, but it really seemslike this is a movie where black
people are seeing it once, twice, three, five.
I've seen people say, oh, thisis my sixth time.
Like, God damn.
Like, well, you know, hey.
But I think a lot of the moneyis coming from us.

(27:50):
So when you're talking aboutlike thunderbolts and like how is
it gonna fare?
I don't think that's reallygonna mess up who the money is coming
from.
Like.
Because I think people willstill see thunderbolts and still
be like I want to see sinnersfor the.
You ain't messing with nobodythat side for five times.
I thought you.
They gonna see it again.
That's this.
Because they want to see it again.

(28:11):
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we're gonna take a quick break.
We're gonna come right backbefore go.
Well go ahead to fire.
I won't let you go.
I was gonna say it's the.
I don't think they'll be threat.
I think they'll be botheredstill by there being a lot of money
going anywhere else.
You see, they're alreadybooting them off the the IMAX screens
because well, they have to.
Disney does not like to share.

(28:32):
It's been two.
It's been two weeks.
Yeah, look, Sonic got zeroweeks because of Mufasa.
So that's competing.
Okay.
Competing is different than.
You don't get any.
Like that's.
That's taking everythingversus well because after.
Two weeks you don't get it after.
If.
If.

(28:52):
If they.
You don't.
That's your window for imac.
They're opening and then theirsecond week numbers.
So.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Hey look, I had to watch thehedgehogs on a regular ass screen
because Disney didn't want to share.
I've seen how crazy.
I know how they play this game.
But yeah, the.
The XD for Cinemark by the wayis very much we got.
We also have cinema.
Was it imax, but not really.

(29:13):
It's just a bigger theaterwith a wall of speakers.
And then there are specialseats for that are interactive called
D box seats.
And there's only like 12 ineach theater.
So you now have to pay for aXD ticket plus an upgrade ticket
if you want the whole immersive.
Whatever.
Whatever.
So we'll be right back.
Speaking of what we present, you'll see a commercial from all

(29:37):
of us at Blurred Station.
But.
And we'll also be coming backwith our guest, Caleb Parham.
He's talking about his newmobile game Panic Gym.
And Odyssey.
Panic Jim Odyssey.
Tongue Tied.
And we'll be right back after this.
There's a God.
Thanks.
So let's join the.
Yeah.
Hahaha.
I know.
They answered the question.
Go see Captain America 4.

(29:58):
The joke wasn't supposed torun this damn long.
Blame Marvel, not me.
One second cartoon.
All right, we ain't gonnapretend like we don't understand
the state of the world right now.
But if you need a safe blackand nerdy space that you can turn
your brain off twice a week, you've come to the right place.

(37:12):
Wait a minute.
What's a trailburger?
Hold on.
Wait a minute.
What's a trailburger?
Oh, you did?
I've been telling you this.
The.
The rapper Bun B's got hisown, like, restaurant.
Who?
You told me when you.
I've been saying trill burgerfor, like, a year since they announced
Houston.
Where have you.
Not in Houston.
I'm in New York.
What is that doing for me?

(37:33):
I said, I know.
I've said ever since theyannounced Houston, I'm like, okay,
so we get to go to Bun B's restaurant.
Like, all right, Done.
Done.
Go subscribe to the blurredstation YouTube channel.
Our channel is up and live currently.
Go show your love.
We will be coming to you verysoon with more content from the con
floors and many more.
So.
Yeah, but that commercialwasn't supposed to run that.

(37:54):
Look at my hair in the oldthing compared to, like, right now.
Like, it was supposed to lastthree months, not three whole ass
years.
Hey, man, I got growth, too.
Look, I've grown salt in mybeard since then.
So, I mean, there it is.
Also, looking at the comments,Bama, your card is.
Is under investigation.
Have you been to any moviewe've told you to in the last year?

(38:15):
That's not a celebration.
Get the.
I'm crying.
That's two movies also.
I'm really sorry, Captain.
Honey, I'm gonna find youagain this year.
Oh, Lord.
Who me find you?
And we gonna talk because youleft me on red, and I don't appreciate
that.
And now the boys out heretrying to figure out how to talk

(38:38):
to people to get his anime did.
And you could have beentalking to us a little bit, and we
would have helped y'all at thebare, bare minimum, but I love you,
Ippy.
I love you.
I'm like, wait, me?
She did a virtual fade.
Like, that's crazy.

(38:59):
But speaking of folks whodidn't wait to reach out to get their
stuff seen and heard, we got avery special guest in the house.
His name is Caleb Parham.
He's the CEO of KappaEntertainment, here to talk about
his new mobile games, PanicGym Odyssey.
What's going on, Caleb?
Hey, how you doing?
Can you hear me?
Yes.
Yes.
All right, cool.

(39:20):
Where do we begin?
Number one, the game is amazing.
I love it.
It's fun.
It's different.
It's like an amalgamation ofthings like Tetris and then it's
like some added features to it.
But I like the animation.
Thank you.
There's characters on thatgame that I'm like, oh, there's.
Oh, I Want to see more?

(39:41):
So how did you get started indoing, like, you're building your
app for your mobile game andthe concept.
So it.
I started making games.
I was like the eighth grade.
I just went to Google andsaid, how do you make games?
And the program popped up andI downloaded and I taught myself
over time.

(40:03):
Now, with Panic Gym, how itstarted was.
It was back in 2013.
Yeah, back in 2013, there wasa girl I liked, and she was.
We were at my boy's house, andshe was playing Candy Crush on her
phone.
Hey, what's that?
So she's like, oh, yes.
This game called CandyCrusher, back then, it just came
out.
So it was hot.
So, okay, cool.

(40:24):
I downloaded.
I played it.
I'm like.
And this is no offense toanybody at King, but I was like,
this sucks.
So I just said, you know, Ithink I can make something better
than that.
So it started out, I just madea quick.
It was like a littlecompilation of demos called Cookies,

(40:46):
and I had a game called JimCrash up there.
And it kind of was like a realprototype of what you see now.
And a guy played it.
His name was Lloyd.
He was like, hey, Caleb, Ithink you have something with this
one right here.
You should really lean into that.
So honestly, a lot of thegame, especially in the beginning,
was just me figuring stuffout, throwing things at the wall.

(41:08):
I was a waiter at the time, sohow I got that.
Some of the characters wasliterally just people that walked
in as customers.
I was like, that would be agood custom, you know, character.
If I exaggerate this, I'll gohome and draw it.
The colors of the charactersin terms of outfits, just because
that's the only color pin I had.
Like, it was.
It was a lot of stuff likethat that was just kind of thrown

(41:29):
together.
And then over time, I, youknow, curled it out and got people
to help me who were.
Saw the vision and could helpme out.
Okay, Lady Mandalore.
Question.
Lord.
Well, I guess, first andforemost, where can people find your
game?

(41:49):
So Panic Jim Odyssey is on theApp Store.
It's on Google Play.
It's on Samsung Galaxy Storeas well.
Okay, cool.
I'm trying to think ofsomething else to ask because I'm
caught off guard.
I didn't think about this atall, and I'm very sorry.
Trust me.
She's.
She's.
She's.
She's.
It's normal.
It's fine.

(42:10):
Like, I need.
I need one good lap, and then I'm.
Then I'm.
And I'm locked In where, wheredo you want to go with your.
Like, who do you.
What.
What other games do you wantto make?
Like, do you want to expandoutside of like mobile gaming?
Do you want to do street likeSteam or anything like that?

(42:31):
Yeah.
So my next game actually isgoing to be an update of a game I've
been working on for yearscalled Buzz Kill Zero.
So that's going to be on Steamand that's actually setting up for
a sequel because I have asequel already in mind.
I have ideas for fightinggames, beat em ups, adventure games,
other types of mobile.
I'm really gonna push mobileto bar beyond what people are used

(42:56):
to.
So I want to show what people what.
What the people are, whatwe're talking about.
And just so they get an ideathat this game is, is.
It's not revolutionary interms of oh, great graphics.
It's like the last of us or anything.
No, no, this is just back tosimple gaming, having fun.

(43:17):
But the characters, thecharacter, I'm like, yo, I need to
see these characters in some, some stuff.
You know, they just look cool.
And so here's the.
The.
The cinematic release trailerof Panic Gym Odyssey.

(43:39):
Yeah.
Another night is gone we stepinto the sun Another day we will
see Another battle's one eachstep is only one step closer to our

(44:02):
destiny Got to make a way forus to save the day no matter the
obstacles.
We make this to planet is not.
An option Whatever the problemwe will face until break a day.

(44:24):
Every moment.
Is perfect into what we arenow so come and take this chance
with.
Me we don't know where we will.
Take us can't go back to the.
Beginning the timer is tickingwe got.
To move forward.
The pressure is on now but nomatter how tough things may be we

(44:48):
will make things better aslong as we're together Nothing can
stop us on this Odyssey.
Oh oh yeah.

(45:25):
Nice.
First off, that song wasgiving me 90s vibes.
It was funky, it was a goodamount of fun.
Like 90s dance vibes, like CCMusic Factory and all.
Yeah.
So that's the inspiration of the.
That's pretty much originallywith the.
The entire game soundtrack wasgoing to be.

(45:46):
Eventually every other themusic composers, they all just started
giving me kind of house in general.
But.
And they all did their thing that's.
They all just went crazy on that.
So with that trailer it wasdone by animator JG who also did
all the character art becauseI can.
I came up with the charactersbut I'm not an artist.
So he drew that.

(46:06):
He came up with the trailer.
And then a lot of people mayknow him as DJ Maxi the Man or Michael
Staple.
He actually created the songand wrote the lyrics, and I got Toasty
Marshmallow to actually singon the track.
Oh, that was awesome.
That's who that was.
She's on tour right now.

(46:29):
He does have a beautiful voice.
Yeah, I've seen her performlive, man.
Tulsi's great.
Yeah, man.
Look at that.
Small world.
Show quote.
Any questions?
Well, I will say that thefirst time I met you actually was
at acc.
You was at Atlantic Comic Con.

(46:50):
I was.
Yes.
And I played your game therewith Navy.
Well, Navy didn't play, butNavy was, like, standing right behind
me, and I was like, I.
I'm not good at Tetris.
You really, like, just give ita try.
And, like, okay, you know,I'll give it a try.
And, you know, it waspleasantly not as bad as Tetris,

(47:13):
because I.
No, I'm not good at Tetris.
I have you anxious.
I don't know how.
Hey, I could.
I.
I have sat and watched Tetriscompetitions and been like, I don't
know how you're doing this.
Okay.
So I remember telling you, like, and I was like, okay, I'm gonna
give it a try.

(47:33):
And I was like, okay, you know what?
This wasn't as hard as Tetris.
So, like, if you, like.
Like, you mentioned candycrust and stuff like that, like,
it is, like, I can definitelysee the composition of multiple games
in it, but it's also just, like, it's not as hard as some of
these other games, like Tetrisor anything.
Like.
And I do like that because, yeah, if it was really just Tetris

(47:56):
light, I would have been like,yeah, I.
I can't do it.
But, yeah, it's.
It's.
It's a decent game.
I really do enjoy, like, the.
The.
The composition of all thedifferent elements of it, because
I think that's what makes thegame play feasible for, like, the
regular degular, like, mobile gamer.

(48:19):
Like you said, you aredefinitely branching out into, like,
Steam, which I love as a PC person.
But, like, for mobile games, like, I def.
I don't play any of the sametype of games that I play on mobile
that I play on PC.
And I know some people do,like Call of Duty.
They.
They will play it on their phone.
Even Fortnite.
All these different thingsthey'll play on their phone.
I'm not playing none of thaton mobile.

(48:40):
So these are the types ofgames that I do play.
On mobile.
So I definitely like that it'sjust a gentle mobile game.
You've got like, like Chrissaid, like the cool characters and
you're not.
What's the word I'm trying to say?
Bear with me.
You're not lying to us.

(49:00):
Okay.
Like all these other mobilegames, you know how many times I
have to delete an app becauseI'm like, I'm not doing this.
Like, yeah, this is not thegame I signed up for.
So I, I appreciate that.
From a mobile game perspective.
I guess my question would beare you like for your outside of
mobile game desires?

(49:22):
And I, because you mentioned alot of different genres with the
beat em ups and all that kindof stuff.
What is like your favorite, like what's your favorite genre of
game?
And you know, are you buildingsomething within that genre of game?
And if so, like, if you cantell us a little bit more about that,
I'd be interested.
Fighting games.

(49:44):
I like that you can becompetitive, you can have a good
story.
Just fighting.
I just love fighting games.
I love watching people who arejust really good at the game fight
somebody else who's reallygood at the game.
And it's almost like a chessmatch without terms.
They're just constantly goingback and forth.

(50:05):
So I, I'm not making afighting game because fighting games
are number one.
They're very expensive andthey're very, very timing intensive.
So I'm not making one yet.
But I do have ideas for quitea few.
I actually want to work withsome big streamers at some point
with some of their charactersand make some type of crossover fighting
game with them.

(50:26):
Yeah, but that'll, that'll bedown the line.
Maybe I can talk about it atDrink Con.
But we'll see.
Okay, so we'll see you again.
We'll see each other.
It's definitely a time passerto play it because I, I find.
I'll hold.
I'm trying to play this holeright now.

(50:49):
No, because the way, the wayyou're looking down right now.
Right.
It's not, I promise I'm notbeing disrespectful.
Especially a time pass becauseI've been at work where I'm just
like.
Like.
And when I text you I'm like,yo, this is cool.
I like this, you know, becauseit's just, we've seen some other
games and they say, oh,there's this.

(51:09):
And I'm like, ah, I just, Ijust want to play.
Signed up for.
Yeah, yeah, right.
So many these days is like that.
I actually make fun of that.
And one of the ads I have, I,you know, I just quickly throw out
some of the features and oneof the things I say is actually the
game in the ad and I justleave it at that because that, that
is because it's.

(51:32):
It should be.
Like I'm trying to pass thetime and you're making me watch ads.
Not only that, but it's justlike you told me I was going to be
doing puzzles and now you gotme running through story and all
this stuff.
It's like I can't even get toa puzzle unless I do this random

(51:52):
thing on level 35.
Like what?
Like this is crazy.
Like now I gotta delete theapp because I'm not doing this.
Yeah.
So as, as you see, as some ofthe people who watch at home there,
I show some of the gameplayand just to show you just like it's,
it's completely different fromTetris because like you can actually

(52:13):
adjust things and slide yourrolls left to right so everything
matches up and.
I'm crying much longer than Ithought I would.
So it, yeah, like it's a, it'sreally fun.
And I think like you mentionedCandy Crush.

(52:33):
I think it's probably, it'slike, it has the other aspects, but
definitely I, I think it islike with the gyms and everything
and the moving of like goodness.
That's horse.
Yeah.
Moving horizontally.
The gems and everything.
Like, I think that's a coolaspect to it that, you know, you

(52:54):
don't get in Candy Crush orany of the derivatives because Candy
Crush isn't even the first one.
But that's one of the mostpopular ones.
Right.
That has stood the test of time.
But yeah, I think this is,this is a cool like combination of
mobile type games that stillhas its own difference.

(53:17):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was really just trying to inthe beginning flip Tetris upside
down, which from a design sideof things you would actually think
that would be easy.
But no, in the very beginningthere was a lot of things because
I was coming up with problemsthat, you know, Tetris and was a
game that influenced me too.

(53:38):
You know, these games hadalready figured out, but for mine,
when you're moving thingsaround, like in Tetris, when you
move a piece, once you putthat piece down, right, you don't
have to really worry aboutanything shifting around.
But for me you're alwaysshifting roles and stuff is always
falling.
So there would be times I'mmoving stuff around and it would
fall at the same time youshift it so now you get two gems

(54:00):
in one spot.
You're just like, ah.
So I had to come up with allthese mechanical solutions to things.
So that was, you know, thatwas kind of the interesting part
of it.
But, yeah, that was really the idea.
Just take it and flip it onhis head.
And it's funny becauseeverybody says it's not.
It's not as hard as you thinkit is.
I'm like, yeah, there aremodes, though.

(54:21):
Yes, I'll let you know right now.
This.
This whole little bit, alittle hard.
It's just not as hard as,like, Ted.
Like, it's just not as hardas, like.
Yeah, some of these.
It's like, I can't even have.
I can't even have fun if Ihave to do too much.
Like.
Right.
So that's what I'm saying.

(54:41):
Like, it's.
It's just not hard where I'mso frustrated that I have to turn
off my phone.
Like, yeah, it's not that hard.
It's not frustrating.
Like, it's.
It's a good, decent decencyof, like, difficulty.
Is it me?
Am I the drama crying now?
She said, wait, wait a minute.

(55:03):
Speak for yourself to find.
You got a question?
Yeah.
So you had another game withyou at.
When you.
You reached out to me atBlurred Car when I was passing by
the table.
You had another project there, right?
Yeah, that was Buzz Kill Zero.
So that was the arcade shooter.
That's the one I'm looking tohave on Steam.
Okay.
So both of those.
I'm not a scrub, so I tried toplay on, like, the hardest difficulty,

(55:24):
and I, Like, I tried to.
I held my own for a good 30seconds on both.
I was just like, oh, I get theconcept from the demo.
I got this.
And, like, you know what?
An attempt was made.
So, yeah, it's Buzz Kill Zero.
Buzz Kill Zero is a differentbeast when it comes down to difficulty.
That's.
That's.
That's not like Panic Gym,especially on the hardest difficulties,

(55:47):
I'm throwing everything at you.
So the way the difficulty works.
In Buzzkill 0, you have levelone, that's the easiest.
Level two, level three, andthen level 999, that's the hardest.
Oh, Jesus.
Right?
Just skipped right past it.
Just.
Why Safari decides I'm justgonna jump to level 999 first try.
Ego.

(56:08):
That's crazy.
I'm throwing everything at you.
So, you know, it starts outlike Galaga, right?
And you have the enemypatterns, and the other difficulties,
they just fire more.
But at level 999, I have allof them fire at you at the same time
while shooting their regular patterns.
Oh, you're just mean.
Yeah, like I can.

(56:29):
I can handle.
Oh, they're gonna shoot.
And I'm like, oh, they'regonna move and shoot and.
And hit all kinds of differentroutes and angles.
That's what I was like, allright, there go my lives.
There go my lives.
Hey, Every way I could make itdifficult, I was just, no holds bar.
I mean, it's beatable, youknow, good luck by somebody.

(56:49):
The hardcore galaxy.
This is the old version of thegame right here.
I know it looks a littledifferent because you don't see as
many bullets.
So Tafari, that's what youcould have got to.
Yeah, but this is an oldversion of the game.
So let's talk about.
So for Panic Gym Odyssey withyour cinematic trailer, and I'm looking

(57:11):
at your characters, the ideabehind it, I'm seeing.
I'm seeing kids comic or show or.
That animation is pretty nice.
Like it's just simple, straight to the point, not over complicated.
What's the storyline for it?
So the storyline.

(57:32):
I'll give you the Cliff Notes.
So about several thousandyears ago, you had humanity.
They were exploring the entireknown universe.
Top dog, you know, they had awhole empire with different planets,
and they had a capital planetcalled Planet Paradise.
So the reason why they wereable to do this is because they had

(57:53):
come up with thisrevolutionary technology that they
use inside of the gyms.
Another alien race came about, got jealous, said, we're gonna attack
Planet Paradise.
Her, the king and the queenthat you see, they were actually
the king and queen during that invasion.
The king decides, okay, youknow what?
I can defend Planet Paradise.

(58:14):
We'll be okay.
I'm gonna send my queen andsome of the other people to Earth.
They could go there.
And then once I get rid of theissue, the problem here, I'll come
get you guys.
We'll come back to Planet Paradise.
So she leaves.
The people come to settle Earth.
They're waiting on him.
He never comes.

(58:34):
They all die, you know, generations go on and go on and go
on.
As time has gone on, thestoryline of Planet paradise and
coming to Earth and everythinghas kind of become like a legend.
So now you get to the current times.
You have the main villain,Gander, and he.
He has like a corporation thatloans money out to different countries.

(58:59):
And he loans so much money outto the countries that they can't
pay him back.
So then he says, you will justserve my company as like a Vassal.
So he basically enslaves othercountries through debt.
That's very doom like of him.
It's also pretty realistic, but.

(59:19):
So he does this to everysingle country except for one.
And this one country actuallyhas recorded every single person
who's a descendant of Tiana Carr.
That's the queen that camefrom her all the way down to Paris,
who is the girl with the Afropuffs.
So she's a direct descendantof her.
Gander tries to make a dealwith them.

(59:40):
Hey, join my.
My corporation or else.
That's basically the deal.
Join or else.
They say, no, we're not doing it.
We have a history here.
We have a culture.
We're not going to get rid ofthis and join your corporation.
He says, okay, no problem.
He rolls in, blows the place up.
They hide Paris in order totry to preserve the lineage.

(01:00:03):
Several.
And she's six years old at the time.
So several weeks pass, she'sjust hitting nobody.
So she comes out, the place isblown up, she can't find anybody.
So she's rolling through theforest for six months by herself

(01:00:23):
at six years old.
That's crazy.
Jesus.
Meanwhile, as part of Gander'sactual corporation, there's like
a lower class, which is mostpeople, and then there's kind of
like an upper class.
So Max is about eight at thattime, and he is actually part of
the upper class right now theyhave a law.

(01:00:45):
They're not allowed to go playin the forest.
But Max is kind of rambunctious.
If you play the game, youknow, Max is kind of silly.
So he, he does what he wants.
So he goes out, plays in theforest, finds Paris, takes it to
her parents.
Hey, I found this girl.
Oh.
She starts trying to tell themabout her country.
They don't know the type ofstuff Ganda does, so they think she's
crazy, but they like her.

(01:01:07):
So they actually adopt her.
And her and Max, they'readopted brother and sister.
So by the time you actuallyget to the game now she's 13 and
he's 15.
So what's ended up happeningis Gand is now like, wait a minute,
I know this girl.
She was part of that.
I gotta get her.
So now she decides to run.

(01:01:28):
Max is like, nope, if youleave, I'm leaving with you.
So they go out together.
As they're leaving, I forgotto mention something.
I got to go back now.
So way back with Sienna Car.
They actually had some gemsthat they brought with them from
Planet Paradise.
Right.
While they were here on Earth,a small group of the Aliens that

(01:01:49):
invaded planet paradise foundthem on Earth.
They went to battle.
They managed to defend Earth.
So what she said was, we can'tuse these things to live like we
were doing before.
If they come back and they'regoing to come back and fight us again,
we have to be prepared.
So she goes and hides them indifferent places.
So coming back to present day,Paris was taught about them being
hidden.

(01:02:10):
She doesn't know exactly wherethey're hidden.
So once you get to today andthey're running, go.
Go figure.
Max being Max rambunctious, hehappens to find some.
So she's like, oh, I neverthought I'd see these.
But if we use these, we couldprobably overthrow Gander.

(01:02:30):
So.
Well, that's actually Max'sidea, but you get the point.
So the whole idea is they'renow going through because now Gandhis
realizes that these things arereal and he actually wants to use
them too, more so to stop themfrom being able to use them against
him.
So now it's kind of a racewhere you have these two children
who are going around trying toget these gems before this whole
big empire does.

(01:02:51):
So I want to actuallyeventually tell the story and either
the form of another game or ananime or something, but, you know,
I got to build up to that point.
I could see that as anime.
I'd like to see.
Yeah, it could definitely work.
Especially with.
We're living in the age right now.
We're in a certain era rightnow where we thriving.

(01:03:13):
We eating very, very wellsouth of midnight centers.
You know, we're getting somenice gyms, no pun intended.
Sending send it our way.
So we're gonna take a quick break.
We're gonna come back.
Caleb, can you stick aroundwhile we talk about some more nerdy
stuff?
Sure.
All right, so we will be backwith our guest, Caleb.

(01:03:35):
We'll be talking about somenerdy news that's been coming down
the pipe.
And we'll be right back andenjoy the in the indie initiative
Indie primetime initiativecrew that we are now a sa Foreign

They help you see the worldfrom a blur's eye.
You are now tuned in to BlurView and without further ado, we
out.

(01:07:34):
Yeah.

(01:09:38):
All right.
We are back.
This has.
There's been this resurgencewithin the past couple years between
Predators and Alien, and as oflate, as you know, if you have not
seen Alien, Romulus, it'scurrently on Hulu and Disney plus.
You can watch it there as well.
Please watch that.
That's good.

(01:10:01):
If you haven't seen Prey, which is a Predator film, please
go watch that.
That's good.
So.
But the lore continues withboth these franchises, which, incidentally,
are in the same universe.
And with Predator Badlandscoming out as a animated series,

(01:10:24):
I want to say.
And then no Animated bed.
No.
Badlands is the film thatcomes out in the fall.
I can't remember what theanimated feature is called, but that's
coming out early later onthis, I think.
The summer, I want to say.
Yeah, I don't want to say the summer.
But right now they're gearing up.
Is it?
Yeah.
Predator.
Killer killers.

(01:10:44):
Killer killers.
Okay.
But right now, Alien Earth isstarting to drum up a lot of.
A lot of discussion, and we'regonna look at the gestation period
right here.

(01:11:24):
Ew.
No.
Because.
Yeah.
Oh, no.

(01:12:17):
Where's the rest of the preview?
It's.

(01:13:23):
It.

(01:13:58):
Too quiet.
Don't tell me that's in.
After all they put us throughsitting down.
After all they put us through.
Oh, my God, no.
So Alien Earth is droppingthis summer, actually.
And it turns out we're notjust getting the one species, we're
getting five extra.

(01:14:18):
Is this like a series or.
Yes.
Yeah.
Oh, no.
I love shell calls.
Was like, I ain't seen Alienanything since probably the originals.
Like, I didn't even see the.
I think.
What.
Was there one that came outlast year or the year before?
I haven't even seen that.

(01:14:39):
You can kind of pick up onthat one and just move forward.
Yeah, because.
Because that one, Romulus, almost is a direct sequel to the
first two.
Was.
Was.
Was.
Was they doing the do in that thing?
No.
Okay.
He was just.
He was just transforming.

(01:14:59):
Yeah.
You gotta go that extra mile.
It looked like it.
I didn't like it.
Okay, okay.
So gestation, as in someone isfarming and making in, like, forcibly
creating this thing.
So.
Which we've come to find outover the past.
What few.
The past.
The last two films, Maybe three.

(01:15:21):
No, because they were doingthat with.
When they cloned Ripley.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So even further back.
Yeah.
So that's Alien 4.
That's nasty.
So.
So like a science experiment.
They're just putting it incanisters and seeing what happens
if we mix these elements together.
And probably getting, like, five alien offshoots or Alien plus

(01:15:44):
five other franchise.
God knows what else.
God knows why.
Like, this is why predators exist.
It's just like, oh, y'all wantto keep making them.
Okay.
I tell you, so ridiculous.
We don't give them names.
We just call them abominationsand burn the corpse.
It.
It kind of feels like we'recoming full circle because wasn't.

(01:16:06):
What the.
The.
What do they call the original dudes?
The Engineers.
The Engineers.
That's what they were doing.
Yeah.
So now we're coming fullcircle, trying to be the engineer.
So something got to come andkick our ass.
Correct.
That's.
That's the way that goes.
All of the Predator, DannyGlover and Arnold Schwarzenegger,
baby.
See, that's.

(01:16:27):
Look, it's either that or God.
It's just like, you know what?
All y'all.
This planet's prayers are allgoing to spam for the next six months.
Y'all don't learn.
We.
We've had this discussion.
So whatever y'all are doingover there breaks my laws, my commandments,
and the Geneva Convention.
Good luck.
So in the.
In the Predator Badlandstrailer that week, I think we premiered
that, like, two weeks ago.

(01:16:47):
Yeah.
And there's a still shot thatthey have of trophies.
Skull trophies.
And so the.
The Internet is going toInternet, and they're trying to find
out who the skulls belong to.
And there's some theoriesbecause one of the skulls looks like
a.
An ape.
So they're saying.
Are you saying that this isthe same universe as Kaiju?

(01:17:10):
We already know that aliens exist.
There's obviously humans wedon't know.
All we know right now is thataliens, Predator, possibly Blade
Runner, if I'm not mistaken, all exist in the same universe.
I didn't know.
Blatant.

(01:17:30):
Yeah.
Just because of the replicants.
Yes.
One of the.
One of the skulls or trophies.
And I'm only connected because they're.
They're connected.
They're owned by Disney now.
Looks like the Black Panther necklace.

(01:17:51):
What the would they put thatin there for?
Because.
I love her respect response today.
That is a correct responsebecause that was my response.
Like, why would y'all do that?
Number one.
But a owned by Disney.
And two, Black Panther is atop or something to fight.

(01:18:12):
They are doing the wholeMarvel vs.
Alien and Predator comicsright now.
So they have like Pantherversus the Predator, Predator and
Spider Man.
Yes.
Yeah, yeah.
There's a Predator in Wolverine.
Yeah, there's a pretty.
Like I said, a Predator andSpider man, which is crazy because
they used to actually do themwith DC because I actually have the

(01:18:33):
Predator and Batman comic on the.
On the shelf.
So they used to do it with dc.
Predator, the comics.
They crossed over with Everybody.
Yeah.
Terminator, RoboCop, Kaiju, anything with dealing with Monster
Island.
So.
Yeah, but I said, imagine aworld where you.
Where as a human.
As a human, he's like, ah, he's.

(01:18:54):
Damn.
Xenomorphs are added again.
No, just give me the Kool Aid.
I'm not.
Wait, so they're fighting.
The aliens are fighting each other.
There's no.
So predators, they just huntfor sport.
Not for food, not for anything.
They hunt for sport.
So they.
So if you are an unarmedperson, you're no threat to them.

(01:19:15):
You cool.
You know, so they're not gonnakill you.
Yeah, they.
They gonna leave you.
They'll leave you alone.
Did you ever see.
Did you see the first Alien vs.
Predator show?
Yo, I don't remember.
Okay, so remember, remember, he's.
The dude tries to fight him,and he looks at his skin.
He's like, you have cancer andyou're gonna die anyway.
Get out my face.
And just drops him and walks off.
Like, if you.

(01:19:35):
Like if you're sick or sick, pregnant, unarmed, you're not a threat
to them.
So they're just like, where'sthe sporting at?
It's similar to like a.
A.
A big game hunter.
If there's an injured animal, there's like, there's no sport in
that.
I'm.
Why am I hunting an injured animal?
I want the full experience.
That's crazy.
You know, so Predators, theyhunt for sport.

(01:19:58):
So if you're walking aroundand you strapped up, you know, with
some gun or something, andthey're just like, ah, yeah, okay.
Yeah, you're on my radar.
Between whatever the fiveextra species in this show is about
to be and whatever we meet inthe Predator.
Killer.
Killer.
I wouldn't be surprised ifsome of those skulls are just like
cameos or that's.

(01:20:19):
That's their infinity gauntletof, hey, we own all these things
now.
And some of those are, like, throughout both of these series,
we will meet who's connectedand what other franchises do cross
over into this, becauseclearly they're kind of setting up
an AVP potential because wegot the Whalen robot in the Predator
in the Badlands trailer.
So it's.

(01:20:41):
It's.
This sounds insane.
It's.
It is insane.
It is insane.
I think they're at a stage nowfor both franchises to really kind
of dominate and really give.
Give the people a really goodface off.
Yes.
Whoopty.
Yeah.
Did Predator 2 have a Xenomorph?

(01:21:02):
Yeah, I think that's what it was.
I think it was like a nicelittle cameo because I think a lot
of.
I think they shared.
I think they shared, like, alot of prop or, like, set workers
for those movies.
So they're like, this would be cool.
And I think that's whatstarted it.
People were like, well, whydon't those two cross over?
Whereas I think they only.
Yeah, up until that point, they only crossed over in comics.
And it was just like.

(01:21:22):
Just make it happen.
Yeah, make it happen.
In 2003, I think that was.
That was another 20 years inthe making coming up to that.
I think.
Yeah, they just love.
They love to hunt.
It's their thing.
Like I said, they hunt becauseit's a religion, a culture and legacy,
and.
Hopefully we're getting moreof that in the.
The show and in the Badlands movie.

(01:21:44):
Because this is a teenagePredator basically trying to impress
the tribe.
So it'd be nice to see more ofthe culture.
If anybody knows any more.
If anybody knows more aboutthis culture, it's hell spawn that
man is deeply knowledged inthe Predator lore in.

(01:22:05):
In alien lore.
So is.
I'm.
I'm invested because it.
Like I told him, I said, notRomulus, but Covenant and Prometheus.
Prometheus was the hardest forme to get through such a.
It was just a long burn, you know?
Yeah, it was.
It was a long bird.
But I'm curious as to whatother worlds or species they'll Come

(01:22:30):
across just from just seeingthat trophy room alone.
I'm like, it's not fair tohave xenomorphs, a predator, predators,
and then Kaiju in the same film.
I'm like, your.
Your home insurance is.
Is screwed.
I don't care what you say atthis point.
Would you rather live there or Gotham?
I'll take my chances in Gotham.
At this point.

(01:22:50):
There is no insurance.
I mean, look, if Pearline isthe mayor.
You said rent is only 300 bucks.
Got them.
Yeah.
You mean nothing goes down here?
Just a crazy clown every nowand then.
I'll buy ball.
I'll buy bottled water.
That's fine.
That's fine.
I'll work a first shift job.

(01:23:11):
I work first shift.
I'm indoors by 6pm bottled water.
I should be good.
No dark alleys, no corner stores.
So don't steal anything.
Don't steal anything.
I'll steal anything.
Oh, my God.
So season two of Andor's dropped.

(01:23:33):
We've got in tonight.
They're showing episodes fouror five and six.
Damn.
For real?
Yeah, they're doing threeepisodes a week.
They're.
They just got caught up onlike a season and a half.
That's crazy.
So.
But they.
This, obviously, if you knowthe lore of Star wars, you know this
is going to be the final season.

(01:23:53):
It leads into Star Wars Rogue One.
You already know the storybehind that, but they've ramped it
up.
Cassian Andor has really kindof come into his own.
It's a very slow burn becausepeople wanted it kind of right now,
right now.
And it's like, no, this islike the makings of the Rebellion

(01:24:13):
and how that, like, everythingjust kind of got how everything ended
up where it is.
Like there are things movingbehind the scenes.
So our.
Our resident Lady Mandalore, already Star wars expert, is.
Is here.
I'm not caught up on Andor, okay?
I'm just.
No, no, not saying that.
Part two.

(01:24:34):
I'm good on two, but notepisode three.
Okay?
So be gentle.
Shame.
You ain't even watched.
I know you're not coming for me.
Not watching Rebels.
Nobody wanted.
Nobody.
Nobody wanted to pay forDisney xd.
That's why.
That's not my problem.
You had how many years ofDisney plus been up?

(01:24:57):
Look, don't drop a new seasonof the thing we like after.
The thing that nobody like islike, hey, remember Rebels?
Us neither.
Come back to Clone wars real quick.
It.
So from what you've seen, Lady Man.
Lady Mandalore, episodes 1 and2, seeing two factions of completely
unre Unprepared rebels go.

(01:25:21):
I mean, they're getting it outthe mud.
They.
They are being honest.
I'm.
They.
No.
No leadership at all.
None.
Everybody is Alpha.
I don't know where am I?
Who's got the money?
Is.
Is my whole thing.
I don't know where.
What you mean I can't do whatI want with the money that we got
you?
What you mean whose daughter.

(01:25:41):
Why do I gotta marry this one off?
In order to.
It.
It's.
It's a wild.
It's a wild ride.
It's a wild ride.
Getting.
Getting money for your.
Your.
Your.
You know, look.
Watching Cassian.
Watching Cassian steal a tiesteal this TIE fighter and not know
how to start this thing up.
I'm like you.
This whole plan waspractically flawless.

(01:26:04):
Until.
It's kind of funny, actually.
I mean, but that's also a callback to what he did when they were
stealing.
What was.
Was them stealing the train.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How Y'all don't even know howthe y'all gonna drive this hoe out
of the.
Out of the.
The long.
The landing pad.
How?
We don't.
Y don't have a plan.
We don't plan.

(01:26:25):
We improvise.
You gonna improvise in jail, you better figure out how to.
You know what?
Let me stop before I.
He.
He improvised the hell out ofthat TIE fighter getting out the
land.
I mean, he figured it out andgot it.
He got it.
Record time.
Hey.
It's just like a stealth mission.
It's still a self mission ifthere are no witnesses.
I just like that they werelike, should we help?

(01:26:46):
Is it like a malfunction?
Nope.
Just shoot it down.
All because he could figureout how to get out of there.
I'm like, ah, damn.
So close.
Like he's looking for the seat.
He doesn't know that the seatcomes up when you stand in a certain
spot and doesn't.
He can't control it.
Right there.
He figures out the guns prettyquickly, though.

(01:27:08):
I mean, that's the easiest part.
Just point and shoot.
Yeah.
He's like, oh, that's whatthat is.
Button.
Push red button.
There we go.
Charge up.
Okay, I need a moment to do that.
Weapons hide over here.
Got it.
Him.
But him getting to that planetwhere the two factions are at and
they're.
They're fighting for food.

(01:27:29):
What?
He's just watching them like,they're like, he's.
He's part.
He's part of the Empire.
He's like, no, I'm not.
Because he's wearing he'swearing flight gear, but he had to
plot himself way.
His plot is so weight his wayin there and just watching them go
at it.
And I know he's sitting therelike they are so unprepared.

(01:27:52):
It's like so under Mon Mothra.
Mothra is getting ready to get married.
That stuff is unfolding, likevery quickly.
Oh, by the way, Spartan, Idon't know if you've seen episode
three, but they got a hell ofa dj.
I didn't know they could getdown like that.

(01:28:14):
I'm like, this music is kind of.
Hitting right here since the.
Since the bar on Tatooine, sir.
Come on now.
If anything, Star wars is notshort on it's exceptional music and
just DJs you did not see coming.
It was damn near a rave inthere at the wedding.
It was damn near.

(01:28:34):
Wait, rave?
And I'm like, yo, they kind ofgetting it right now.
Everybody getting it.
I mean, the music's alwaysbeen popping on Star Wars.
I mean, it's.
It's never not been like a bopgoing off in there.
It's an understood language.
You cannot.
You can't have a bad beat onStar wars while getting your ass
hit by lightsaber.

(01:28:55):
So I.
I'm waiting to see how they.
It's now.
It's not about how it ends.
It's about how did they get there?
That's.
And that's the story ofeverything and how it plays out.
I'm liking it.
I.
I'm with it.
You know, they've gone.
That first season was yourslow build up.
That was the slow builder.

(01:29:16):
How they.
How everything got where it isand exceptionally slow.
Yeah, it.
It took a minute, but like, the.
Parking brake was still on.
Slow.
Yeah.
So, okay, here's aconversation that's been running
around still in the Star wars universe.
Lady Mandalore, I need your opinion.

(01:29:38):
Oh, no, I'm listening.
I'm locked in.
Don't worry.
Don't.
Just because I'm looking upand I'm trying to figure.
She's trying to catch up right now.
Knowing that don't clock me.
Yoda.
Yoda has.
Especially with the acolyteand everything else.
Would you say that Yoda waspart of the problem?

(01:30:00):
Yes.
Yes.
Was.
Yes.
Nodding to a whole bunch of.
He shouldn't have been.
Yes.
Nodding to.
But you know, you don't knowwhat you don't know until you don't
know it.
So I can't really blame him.
100.
You know, if he had knew what he.
He didn't know, then hewouldn't have did what he did.
Would you say it's more orless he was hearing the rubblings

(01:30:23):
and getting pieces ofinformation, but considering the
fact that by the time itreally started coming down, the people
that he was around were nolonger around.
So it was just like, you know,so he couldn't really.
Who do I talk to?
Type of situation.
He wasn't talking to the right people.
He wasn't.
He did not have his.

(01:30:43):
No pun intended.
He didn't have his ears to the ground.
Mighty close.
Mighty close.
But he wasn't talking to theright people.
He wasn't in the mix, if you will.
Like, he was talking to Padme, but you talking to her, like, when
she's on her way out of.

(01:31:03):
Like, what.
What are we.
What are we supposed to.
What is she supposed to dowith that information?
Why didn't you check your boywhen he was trying to be the Jedi
Master?
Why didn't you check Qui Gonwhen he was doing his own, you know,
running around trying tokidnap other people?
All he had to do was followone instruction.

(01:31:24):
Wait here, you will have my trust.
If you wait here, you willhave my trust.
Cool.
What I'm gonna do?
I'm gonna take off.
I would do my own thing.
It's.
It's us being fans.

(01:31:46):
What?
Yeah, us as fans and realizing the.
The overall build on, like, you're like, damn, this could have.
Y'all could have stopped this.
You know?
You know who Yoda is.
Yoda's a democratic party.
You sitting there.
I said what I said.
You sitting there thinking allis sweet and things are just g.

(01:32:09):
Everybody's gonna play the game.
We're gonna play the game theway the game's supposed to be played.
Nobody's gonna break the rules.
This is how we play the game.
No, ain't nobody said that.
Ain't nobody said that.
George Lucas did say these things.
Look, I'm.
You see what's happening inthe world.
Is this not Star Wars?
No, it's not.

(01:32:29):
Because we don't have nobodyto come and save us.
There is no only hope.
The hope is, why the rebelshoping a bullet.
That's all.
I'm sorry.
This is kind of rogue oneright now.
I went too far.
It is kind of rogue.
Did you?
I did.
No, actually, she said Ishouldn't have said it on live, but

(01:32:50):
you know my heart.
If we're talking old lifeexperience and no one listens to
them, does that make YodaBernie Sanders?
Yes.
Because she.
Because, hey, Kira opened the door.
I'm just walking through it.
Yes, I'm not saying you wrong either.
Who.
What?
Who am I to.
Who am I to tell you?
But I would say would.
Would Bernie Sanders beconsidered the Yoda?

(01:33:11):
Yes.
No, I told.
Because like he's.
He's loud.
He's been loud about it.
Do nothing but he's been loudabout it.
Unlike Yoda.
Unlike Yoda.
Yoda didn't say it say.
He didn't say what he wantedto say or should have said.
Bernie has been saying it.
But I am now coming to ask foryour support.

(01:33:32):
Bernie's Anakin.
Okay.
No, no, no.
Bernie's kind of Anakin, listen, look, we all know what's
going on over there in thatcountry where they doing things.
He's got too much back pain tobe any Anakin.
No, no.

(01:33:53):
I didn't think it was baby Anakin.
I'm saying a little bit.
See, see you're comparing.
I'm.
I'm still saying America'sright now Rogue One.
You have no Sith, you have no Jedi.
But you have grumblings orresistance on an impeding empire.
That's Rogue One.
And people that care way toomuch about doing their jobs right
while pissing everyone elseoff in the process.
Why does this blonde womangetting so much time.

(01:34:15):
Who is this?
This exactly.
I did not think she was gonnamake it up the finale.
But no, you got that one over.
You got that one overzealous cooworker.
So I gotta ask Caleb.
Caleb, I don't know how wellversed in the.
In Star.
In the Star Warsian.
Sorry Caleb.
But what I don't know ifyou've watched Andor or any of the

(01:34:39):
Star wars, but what do youthink of what we've already discussed
of this could have beenstopped and we possibly.
Possibly.
I mean because Yoda's kind of old.
Kind of.
He was.
He was old when it wasbuilding up.
So.
But he couldn't count Dooku.
So I'm gonna be honest.

(01:34:59):
I have not watched anythingStar wars Since like episode 3 got
released way back in the day.
So he didn't see the re release.
It got released again last week.
Giving him the high five.
Fine.
The most I've done is playedStar Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 on

(01:35:21):
the PS2.
So we are now at thePlayStation 5.
So I'll let you know how long.
It'S been I've done anythingand I need my battlefront.
So it's officially been 20years because all those things are
turning that Old.
Yeah.
The last time EA actually didsomething right.
No, I don't think EA was onthat one.
Yeah, actually, no, no, that was.
They did the.

(01:35:41):
The current one.
Yeah.
Lucas Arts did the originalone, right?
Yeah, but that wasn't.
Yay.
And then we got the remakes, which pissed off everybody.
Thanks for nothing.
Yeah, that's because theydidn't play anything like the originals.
That is true.
I couldn't find a match.
I was stuck in limbo lobby forlike the first three hours.

(01:36:03):
I went to bed.
Yeah, it was.
Safari.
Went to bed with thecontroller still with his head.
He was like.
Everybody's like, oh, the gameprobably did for real.
Everybody's on Twitter.
They said other game launchesat midnight.
Like, if it's just a port withlike some clean textures and whatnot,
it doesn't take much to run, especially on a switch.

(01:36:23):
And everybody's like, hey,it's like 6am and I'm still locked
out.
What's going on?
And this is why I'm so glad I'm.
This is why I'm so glad I'mnot on network teams anymore.
Because as soon as somethingwent wrong.
All hands on deck.
Not me.
I don't think they ever fixed.
It was clearly a cash grab.
There was no plans to fix anyof that.
It just.
No.
That game was unfortunatelydead on arrival.

(01:36:44):
We'll try again in another 20 years.
Well, here we are.
Something.
So I.
I think what we're seeing outof Andor is they're getting to.
They're getting to the pointobviously, like, everything is literally
coming to a head where they'rejust like, all right, now it's completely

(01:37:08):
like, everybody's on the run.
Everybody's on the run.
Like, just.
It's like, just don't getcaught that part.
So your mother went out like areal G with that final message.
Yes, you did rise up and.
And they look.
So who would that be then.

(01:37:32):
Lord?
Not Jasmine.
Don't you.
No, no, no, no, no.
Oh, girl.
That.
Oh, Aoc.
Oh, I was gonna say the Sniper.
No, no, no, no, no.
Yeah, you're on the zone.

(01:37:53):
I was gonna say the Sniperfrom last summer, but that works
too.
Yeah, there was.
There was no grassy mole.
Would have hit.
We watched.
We saw that failed attempt.
We went right to recordingCaptain America for wrap.
That with the green hat menace.

(01:38:14):
This is insane.
So Spartan, you were able tosee sinners.
It's about time.
The way.
The way she is lording thatover you right now.
Was that show called Was that Kira?

(01:38:36):
Really?
Ms.
Mechanical Keyboard.
Hey, you know, it's about time.
Like it.
She doubled down.
This.
This from the person who don'tlike nothing and don't be seeing
nothing.
She's like, I used to see everything.
Okay, but you know, miss I'mpicky on movies, right?

(01:38:58):
Which lets you know the kindof code.
I was gonna leave you alone show.
Quote, but since you put on mylateness, Ms.
Vicky.
Hey, you know, y'all, you gota movie to see this weekend.
You can't.
You know, you.
You just.
You gotta see it.
It's okay.
We still have established.
Look, she talking big cashright there.
I love it.
We've still established thatBama is at the bottom of the totem

(01:39:18):
pole for this episode.
Oh, no.
Bama on a shit list.
We love you, Bama, but you.
Yeah, but you got homework to do.
You got like six movies.
That he hasn't seen.
Cab 4 he hasn't seen.
Bam ain't seen a movie werecommended in like six months.
But about to double down on thunderbolts.

(01:39:39):
You.
That's what you're gonna go see.
I will say.
I will say this about sitters.
My goodness, if that does notopen the door, and it does not, I
will.
I.
I was.
I was trying.
I was trying to find words inthe group chat Saturday when me and
my wife went to go see it.
I had no words.
Not because it wasn't bad.

(01:40:00):
My God, it was great.
It had.
It was a multi layeredsymbolic message filled musically
driven, narratively,beautifully written story.
And the.
There's no other thing.
There's.
There's really no other way tosay it but to go see it.

(01:40:21):
I could.
We could sit.
I could sit here and tell youabout certain characters.
I can sit here and tell youabout one character they should have
knocked out from the beginningbecause she was.
The one weak link.
I can go down the entire lineof the fact of.
Of.
Of the biggest dude beingbiggest dude, his six sense not being
on in the middle of thegoddamn woods.
But again, go see the movie.

(01:40:41):
It is great.
I highly recommend it.
Yeah, I can't say nothing elseto me on that.
They caught cornbread midstream.
He gets a pass, like clearlyseveral times.
The way he was.
The way you can hear himstopping the stream.
Like.
Like he did not have to.
Like, as somebody who goescamping and some, like, who be outside

(01:41:05):
sometimes, it's like, what.
Why are you in the grass deep in.
At the night time where nobody is.
Is watching for you?
No, you.
You behind a tree deep in thewoods and you Hear.
Nope.
I did not hear that the first time.

(01:41:27):
When I listened the secondtime, I was like, I hear the whisper
in his name.
I'm like, yeah, this wouldhave been a walking stream for me.
Like, I would have saidwalking, streaming.
My back turned to the bush, and it's just like, you can bite
me, but you're getting some onyour leg.
Come over here.
Said, I'm gonna be waddling, walking away.
Like, what?

(01:41:47):
I'm sorry.
The.
The need.
The need to answer nature'scall would have been immediately
canceled.
That or could have been like, nope.
Generally it is cancer.
It was like, this can wait.
It ain't got to go that bad, right?
But not just.
But not once.
Three times.
He heard his name, right?
And he stood.
I was like, I was in thetheater like this.

(01:42:11):
He wanted to die.
That man is a kegel master.
Ain't no way.
Three times mid stream.
I don't know if that's the word.
For it for a man.
It's probably not, but he'sstill a kegel.

(01:42:34):
I'm sorry.
How you do that three times atthe height of the pee.
Peeing.
You go, whoop you.
You shut that right down.
Yes.
I'm sorry.
Like I said, you had to peethat bad.
And at the same time, he waspeeing like a pint.
If it calls for it or you'retrying to ease drive.
Yeah, it's that easy.

(01:42:54):
I'm just.
I'm just saying.
Your name gets whispered threetimes in the dark.
You can't see behind you.
Why are you still standing there?
Hey, man, the power of Christcompels you.
Go ahead.
As.
As somebody who's been campingand had to go in the dark.
Right?
I.
I didn't stop the stream.

(01:43:15):
But see, when I stopped the stream.
It don't seem I move somewhere else.
Right?
Because I'm like, I don't knowwhat's going on right here.
I'm.
I'm out here.
I'm just.
And you know, well, thatwasn't me.
Thank you.
Yo, 6s kicked in, like, wait a second.
I don't even know if anythingwas going on, right.

(01:43:35):
I'm not trying to find out.
So it could.
It just could have been.
It could have been a squirrel.
I don't care.
I can't.
No.
Because literally, crickets at night.
If I hear it too much, I.
It's like, bro, like, I needto go somewhere else.
Yeah.
Because why are you out here?
But it's just.
It's just the fact that hereally could have went us like, he

(01:43:56):
could.
Have went on the side of the.
He could have went on the sideof the meal.
He didn't have to go that far.
He was watching the door theentire time.
Meaning the only people thatwere out there, and he knew it was
them three.
The.
The banjo players.
Okay.
The group.
He could have went literallyright around his.
The corner was right there ofthe house.
He could have went right overthere and peed.

(01:44:17):
And he decided he didn't haveto go that far.
It's a meal, which means it'sa big building.
He didn't have that long in there.
Exactly.
And went to the door.
Real quick.
Just run to the side.
There were empty beer bottles everywhere.

(01:44:42):
Everywhere.
And half of those wereprobably from Slim by himself.
Real quick.
I just need to get this.
Cornbread was just.
It's like, did you really needto break that bad?
I don't think you needed tobreak that bad.
Well, when you realize howearly they got there.
Because at the end of the.

(01:45:02):
At the end of the movie, how long.
When they show you the setupand the whole party before.
Cornbread wasn't doing that much.
The fact that he was there.
Yeah, and then.
But.
But see, here's the thing.
You did all of that only toend up juking with Remick later on.
I'm like, yo, dude, he wasgetting it.

(01:45:23):
But I'm like, dude, he wassupposed to be security.
I'm like, dude, you just sawthree potential threats.
Just leave and say, we'regonna walk.
We gonna walk real slow incase you change minds.
Wait, I've been like.
It was gone.
Because they gonna come back.
Mary didn't walk that far awayfrom the damn juke joint.

(01:45:45):
No, it was right there.
It was around.
They were still in view.
Not see her getting juked either.
Again.
When you look at it, she brokeright and was kind of.
When you look.
If you line it up, she's.
They're basically tucked up.
There's a car right there.
They're tucked behind the cars sitting.

(01:46:05):
Cornbread broke left.
They broke right.
So exactly this on the ground.
He should have saw thatsomething was in the sky and saw
something jump.
Something in the air.
He was too busy trying to takea piss.
He wasn't paying.
This man done went half a mile.

(01:46:26):
He went half a mile away from.
He wasn't doing his job.
And then he got killed for notpaying attention.
Like, he got killed because he.
He got killed because he was.
He was not good at security.
And you're not on point.
I'm gonna be the only personnot drinking.
Look, if Del.
If Delta calls you, calls youout on your stuff and he's the drunk.

(01:46:47):
Like, I don't know where heat, but he's been too gone.
He's been gone too long.
You can drink all you wantbefore your shift start.
It was just that he took abathroom break at the wrong time.
The line got busy.
We had a whole lot of incoming.
You coming back and saying, what's wrong with everybody?
He at least did right.
Where you been?
He at least did right in.
Got the twins.

(01:47:08):
When they first showed up, waslike, yep, I'm not dealing with this
by myself.
Yo, you should have been onpoint the moment three white people
out of nowhere just showed upand was just being completely considerate
and cooperative.
You in the south of 1930s.
How in the world is your paranoia?
That's the.
That he did.
He jumped up like, no, no, no,no, no.
Go get smoking stack right now.

(01:47:29):
He told that dude, you didn't have.
No sense after that.
Right.
That's my point.
And people be in and out the building.
So when.
I don't think when Mary saidwhat she was doing when she left
either.
She just went past him andwent outside.
Yeah, but you.
From the angle that we sawwhen they were sitting on the log,
it's a clear.
Like, you can see.
Yeah.

(01:47:50):
You can see the door of the place.
So Corbet just sitting there.
He drinking or whatever, hejust not paying attention.
But it's like it was seeablewhere someone could have saw if they
were paying attention.
Their attention.
I will say that stuff.
Right?
This is the funny part out ofthe movie.
I will say this.
And I don't think.

(01:48:10):
And let me know if it'shappened to y'all movie theaters,
because we had kids in ours, right?
The part where.
The part where old girl comesback and says, you ain't gonna invite
me in.
Cornbread says, yeah, yeah, come on in.
Every black parent, I kid younot, turned their child and said,
this is why we do the knock, knock test.
And I was like, ain't no way.

(01:48:31):
You brought your kid.
Like, I can't even imaginebringing the kids.
You know what it is?
Like, we said, there's a lotof stuff, adult stuff in there, but
most of it's just swearing.
All the other stuff is kind of.
Yeah, like if they teenage.
No, no.
I mean, like maybe teenagers.
I did hear some child.
I heard when Remy showed up,some kid go, it's a monster.

(01:48:54):
Why did every one of my every.
Everybody lost it.
I don't know why.
To the.
To the one other person in my.
To the other person in thetheater who helped me start the applause
when the Clansman got cut down.
Thank you.
Because everybody else istrying to be all cool about.
I was like, absolutely.
Oh, no, I was.
It was a Django moment for me.
I literally was in thetheater, like dangle.

(01:49:16):
Because after everything welost in that film once, it's like
we get to cut down the clanwith Tommy guns.
You know what?
This is a win for somebodythat I would have.
I had to go back and go playMafia 3.
When I got home, I had to dothe Clan Mission.
I'm like, look, that.
That one picture in a magazinesold them so many copies.
And I don't think that was planned.
Look, I will say this, thatI'm loving everybody's breakdowns

(01:49:41):
that, you know, even.
Even by the term of the film's name.
And they're saying, even ifyou look at the characters and what
each one represents, as far asthe sin.
Seven deadly sins, you're justlike, oh, yeah.
I'm like.
Like you said, Spartan.
This movie's layered heavily.

(01:50:02):
I.
It's.
It's.
I.
Congratulations to RyanCoogler and Michael B.
Jordan, who.
Whom everyone is saying himportraying the twins.
That should be an Oscar moment.
Probably one of his bestperformances because.
It definitely is for me.
Yeah.

(01:50:25):
They were saying a completenight and day difference in between
the two.
Even he said.
Omar Benson, who playsCornbread said he was like, yeah,
I'm about to come on the setas Smoke and so address me as Smoke.
And he.
He's like, this dude wascompletely different.
Oh, he was method.

(01:50:46):
Yeah.
Back then.
Yeah.
Okay.
I know people.
It was like a lot of people, you know, were talking about the
differences between smokingStack and a lot of people seem to
like Stack more because he smiled.
But I'm like, there'ssomething about Smoke not smiling
much.
No.
And I'm just like, I reallylike that.
Smoke was about, like business.
Yeah.
Stack was about let's get thismoney how we can.

(01:51:10):
He was about the hustle.
Yeah.
He wasn't about thinking too smart.
He just.
That's why.
Yeah.
Smoke was long term and Stackwas enjoy Stack with partying.
Yeah.
Look how.
Look how he was with it withGrace and Bo when he went to their
store and when he seen.
He had to deal with Grace.
That's what you want in theroom to handle the business.
Like, that's why he went overthere in the first place.

(01:51:33):
He.
Smoke was the coordinator, themanager and Everything.
It was.
He was security.
Because old boy even teachinga young black girl.
Yeah.
How to.
How to.
How to.
How to deal.
Yeah.
Also showed not to mess withanother man's truck.
Yeah.
She was like, they.
I told him they was yours.

(01:51:53):
They didn't believe me.
Someone said, hey, I imaginebeing that, like.
Because it really was like, you know what?
Imagine shooting.
Shooting two people and thendirectly paying for their care afterwards.
He said, yeah, take care ofthem, please.
You gotta take care of them.
That was.
That was.
Back in the day, gangsters had decorum.

(01:52:14):
It's about.
Although old boy did.
Old boy did deserve that shotin the knee, though.
I told you.
That was.
I told you d.
I said, now you get shot justfor snitching.
Not.
Not even that.
Just.
He said, I can't let.
I can't have nobody talkingabout you almost, Rob.
Right?
So it's like.
It's less about, I gotta set a standard.
I have to set a standard, dude.
It's less about your record.
It's more about your reputation.

(01:52:34):
So it's like, hey.
But you see how no one acrossthe street was bothered.
They just kind of kept moving.
Oh, sh.
That.
That train didn't stop a.
Yeah.
I didn't even catch thesegregated streets until the second
watch.
And people pointed it out.
But like, oh, yeah, that was good.
Like, the shirt is saying, mind our business.
Mind the business.
It was just there for itspurpose, but not to be super highlighted

(01:52:56):
on.
There was no.
Nothing that was really notblack that really needed a highlight
in this movie besides reming.
But even then, it's, like, still a little bit different.
But, yeah, they.
He.
He ain't spending.
He said, y'all ain't here fora reason.
But not.

(01:53:17):
Not too much.
Yeah.
Otherwise.
Although.
Although the beginning of themovie world was talking about, well,
we know the plans to arrivethrough here.
No, the clan gone.
I'm like the.
The universal.
It was.
It was the collective sh.
In the movie theater that gotme when they said, oh, the clan gone.

(01:53:40):
You heard the movie.
They're like, yeah.
So I.
I've enjoyed everyone's breakdowns.
Please go see this film if youhave time this week.
Please keep jumping varietylike, y'all have been over the headline.
Let's talk about that.
Real to everybody.
Twitter got him.
And then the double.
The double standard.

(01:54:01):
And for the people that didn'tliterally exist back then, talking
about, where were we in the movie?
Not there, mind you.
Get your own.
I didn't even know that theaccountant, too, came out, and I
was Just like.
And I.
And I wanted to see it.
And I'm like, you gotta wait.
I'm sorry.
I heard that movie did okay.

(01:54:21):
Yeah.
But it came in third place, soit still did.
Well, what's his name?
I'm not gonna say the dude'sname, but dude was like, where were
we at in trying to claim itwas a Dusto dollar?
I'm like, they've been packingold boy up for, like, an entire week.
They found his thing.
You want to be famous and thenyou get exactly what you want.
But thank you.
This is the same dude who wascrying literal tears for his inclusion

(01:54:44):
in Forever.
Yeah.
I love how somebody pointed out.
It's like, where's our inclusion?
Y'all really wasn't inMississippi around 1930.
Right?
And it was like.
I.
Like I said earlier, I waslike, it was perfect with it.
Like, the people that wereincluded were there for a reason.
They were perfect.

(01:55:05):
Like, there was nothing elsethat needed to be added here for.
Because.
Yeah, because it wasn't.
This wasn't about for rape forrace purposes.
Like.
Yeah, let's.
Let's have this quick conversation.
Y'all are trying to be soadjacent to people that don't look
like us in the first place.
Why suddenly.
Because this movie has theappropriate representation.

(01:55:28):
It's a hit out the goddamn park.
Why suddenly y'all want to bepart of the goddamn conversation?
Everybody.
When a pie is good.
Hey, look.
And you know what I say to that?
Don't you put that on us.
We, me and the other 85, wepacked up the term POC back in 2024.

(01:55:49):
Yeah.
As we.
As we said.
As we said at the end of thelast election, we did our part.
The rest is now on you.
I think people need to learnhow to enjoy things.
Like, there was nothing.
Like.
Like I said, I only watchedone trailer, but there was nothing
about that trailer that gave.
This is about to give a moviewhere I was going to see anything

(01:56:14):
more than black people tobegin with.
I didn't even expect to seethe Chalk hall or the.
Or.
Yeah.
Or.
I love that group.
I didn't expect to see them at all.
They were a welcome surpriseboth times.
When you want to talk aboutminding your business, hey.
Because that's me.

(01:56:34):
Have a good day, ma'am.
That sun went down, and thatwas the quickest.
I'm gonna pray for you.
And this boy and his boy said it.
He was like, hey, the sun's setting.
We gotta go.
You have a good day, man.
I've never seen I've neverseen a movie pocket watch like this.
And even then, I know Marvelis probably like, sue.
I mean, they still haveCoogler for two other projects.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

(01:56:55):
You know, his phone's ringing.
It's like, so when can we getyou on the Eyes of Wakanda tour?
It's in like y'all stop up thegoddamn continuity in the rest of
your goddamn franchise.
How about that?
But also, I don't know if y'all.
I don't know if y'all got tocover this as well, but the deal
that he did have with thatpicture, it's not a.

(01:57:16):
It's not an unknown deal to have.
It's not enough.
Everybody doesn't have it.
Yeah, right.
Everybody doesn't have it.
It's a.
I should say it's a unique deal.
It's a unique deal that he'sgonna have the rights back in 25
years.
Yeah.
Which.
And that's the shake up.
Is the shake up.
Is.
Yeah, that's.
That's the shake up.
And.
And.
And his age.

(01:57:37):
Yeah.
And his age.
And he said.
He.
Coogler himself said.
Himself said that making thisfilm made him want to go garner ownership
like it's mine.
Yeah.
Which he should for somethinglike this.
Like, it.
It's like people like he can.
And it would be in all terms.
And you're right.
In all terms, this is his.

(01:57:58):
Yeah.
Everything else he's done isnot his story.
It's not an original thing.
It's not.
He created this.
He.
He built this.
Him and his family and peoplethat was involved.
He built this.
He didn't create Fruitvale Station.
He just told that story.
He didn't create Black Pantherand Wakanda Forever.
He just told that story.

(01:58:18):
Creed was already pretty mucha built in franchise to Rocky.
He didn't create that storylike in that.
In those terms.
This is his baby.
So of course it would be thesmartest move to say this is mine.
I want this.
All I can say next is JordanPeele that him movie better be the.

(01:58:39):
Because we're gonna come out.
I hope.
Two reasons everybody'slooking at Marlon.
They looking to see how.
Well, we're looking to seewhat Marlon does.
Because Marlin's never outside of.
I think one other movie hasnever had this type of serious role
outside of one movie comedies.
But that and Fresh Prince waskind of.

(01:59:00):
So he's kind of been making.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Too.
Yeah.
Too his rounds.
And it's gonna be.
And I.
I'M probably gonna see them.
I don't know if I'll see it inthe theaters when it, like, first
weekend, but I definitely lookforward to seeing him only because
of the topic.
Is an interesting way to shinea light on things that.

(01:59:23):
In, like, a thriller way that nobody.
I don't.
I ain't seen nobody do asports thriller movie like this.
Like that.
This is why the NFL's doingall those puff pieces.
All those puff pieces right now.
Yeah.
And you see.
You see what they did to.
Yeah.
Oh, that's the real.
That's the real face of the NFL.
That's all that was.

(01:59:43):
It's.
It's like.
Even though it's obviouslylike that story and then the story
in the movie is notnecessarily the same, but it is.
Does go to say, like, especially, like, when you think
about what goes into sportsand then you think about, like, nil
these days and all, like what.
You know, what the things thatpeople put on their.

(02:00:04):
I mean, athletes put theirbodies on the line like ev.
Like for the.
For the football is possible.
Especially with the.
Yeah, football and rugby.
Rugby, hockey.
We did a study with a medicalschool down the street from us, so
we feel like a chip in ourhelmet if you got hit too hard.

(02:00:25):
They immediately knew it waslike, all right, who's number so
and so.
Because we can see here at3:44, you got your absolutely rocked.
And we.
We're gonna need you to comedo a concussion study, like, asap.
And it.
It's made breakthroughs.
And we were like, part of theinitial test for that.
But that's.
I used to watch the.
I used to watch the highlightsfor the draft because for some, that

(02:00:45):
turns into a hazing process.
When you get pitched, it'slike 35 for the Buccaneers.
Mother sold crack.
Dad has been on drugs since he was.
Oh, Lord, they do.
That's those puff pieces I'mtalking about.
They find all the bad yourfamily did for, like, three generations,
and it's.
Like, like, dang, how did you get.
Who did you talk to?

(02:01:06):
And they always find the thingthat always kills me.
And Bama, you're right.
Professional wrestling shouldbe including that too.
The thing that always kills meis they always get the chapters with
the dudes with single moms, and I'm just like.
And then you get prime, andI'm like, oh, so over.
A very confident, powerfulblack man is one that want his son
to do the same thing that theMannings have done for decades.

(02:01:28):
We can't have that.
So you're Telling us whatthat's really about.
And S.
Sanders was kind that.
That whole thing.
As someone who gave up onwatching football a long time ago
for real, it just.
Like seeing the Sanders thingplay out is kind of just weird to
me entirely.
That whole thing is crazy.

(02:01:49):
But definitely when it comesto, like, the other, like, even just,
you know, when they show themwhen they're getting drafted, their
pick, and you know, when theycall them, it's like the whole.
The optics of everything.
Like, the whole process iskind of like this kind of weird sometimes,
depending on what they say andyou know, how they interview you

(02:02:11):
and all that kind of stuff.
Like, the whole process can be.
So the him movie, like, itseems interesting for those reasons,
just because I think it's.
It seems like it's doing, like, interrogation of, like, sports
and masculinity and what it means.
Like.
Like.
So I'm interested to see itjust because it's looking at sports

(02:02:34):
in general, but definitelyfootball from a different.
Because as an educator, like, knowing folks that play sports in
high school and then going tocollege and you see, you know, the
people that are athletes, like, there's a lot that is sacrificed.
Yeah.
So I'm.
I'm excited to see themetaphors that they end up using

(02:02:57):
in the movie.
Hey, I only get.
I only get entertainment out of.
Out of seeing the girlfriendthat's sitting next there.
I'm like, sweetheart, I don'tthink you're going to be there long.
Especially when they.
Especially when they have a white.
A white horse right next to them.
And the mom immediately goesin defensive, though.
That is the.
That is the greatest form of entertainment.

(02:03:17):
Don't think you're going to behere very long.
To the moms that protect thatfirst check.
Thank you.
Y'all are unsung heroes.
But yes, if they're there,it's like, you're either not gonna
be here long or please get a prenup.
She's going to get you for everything.
Like, yeah.
Very much what she has beentrained to do.
And it's like, y'all don't see this.
We know this when we get herefreshman year, and yet y'all walk

(02:03:38):
willingly into the trap.
How.
How do you fall for this?
That's the.
That's.
It's.
It's not happening.
You don't have a.
No person.
You.
Sometimes you gotta have an Ahole in your camp that is gonna check
you regardless of who you are.
Every have that.
Every group needs a.
Whose job is to just say no to every.
It's Always funny seeing theold clip of Russell Wilson when he

(02:04:01):
got drafted.
That's.
I'm sorry.
That is still hilarious.
No, she was.
Her mouth was like.
That.
I was like.
I'm like, hey.
But you upgraded quite well,my friend.
So it's.
Yeah.
Him has the potential toreally hit home with a lot of that

(02:04:23):
stuff, especially if they.
They throw in, like a socialmedia factor.
Like, the game was trying todo all this, and then BET made it
a soap opera, which just.
Yeah, they were.
They were.
They were.
When it was upn, they weregoing for the comedy level of it,
and then it got canceled, andthen they brought it back and it
went to bet, and that's when the.
The seriousness.

(02:04:44):
I'll tell you one day, you'llnever see again.
You guys remember playmakersabout 10 years ago in ESPN and the
NFL killed it after fiveepisodes because they were telling
too much.
They were telling too muchtruth in that show.
Yep.
That sounds like lie to me.
Yeah, see?
So, Caleb, this game.

(02:05:08):
Talk to the people one more time.
Tell them where you can be found.
Where.
Tell them where they can getthe game.
The games.
So Panic Gym Odyssey is onyour mobile App Store.
App, Google Play, Apple AppStore, Samsung Galaxy store, Buzz
Kill 0 will be on Steam aswell as itch IO on PC and Mac.

(02:05:30):
I'm trying to get on as well.
Yeah, it's.
Trust me, it's.
It's so much better.
It's.
I'm like, oh.
Oh.
It's a quick learn.
The game is a quick learn.
It's.
It's.
It's not too difficult.
Unless you're like, to far with.
With Buzz Kill Zero and decideto play on the highest level.

(02:05:50):
Because he caught me in pass.
He was like, oh, yeah.
Because I didn't know.
Oh, yeah.
No, it is.
We follow each other.
But I'd never actually seenhis face.
I'd only seen the avatar.
So when he called out to me, Iwas like, yeah, come try to.
He just turned around.
That's.
Maybe I'm like, new voice.
Who this?
At every convention, somebodyknows me.
I may or may not know y'all, but I will play it off if need be.

(02:06:10):
But then he had the games.
I was like, all right.
So I was like, this one.
Because it's like.
It's like Galaga, but theycome at you from an angle and still
shoot.
And geometry plays the factsomething like I can just curve.
Like, wait, wait, wait.
Time.
Hold on a second.
Then I tried the Jewel game.
I'm like, okay, so we canslide Sideways and bring it down.
This is.

(02:06:31):
But also, I'm not a scrub, somax level on everything.
Might as well go broke.
But you actually didn't play.
You only played the max levelon Rush.
So the hardest difficulty iscalled Shirase.
So it's influenced by a gamecalled Tetris, the Grandmaster 3.
Terror instinct.

(02:06:51):
That's.
That's the literal name of the game.
Terror Instinct difficulty iscalled Shirase.
So.
She was just like, yeah, you.
Don'T have to play it.
And there is, like, a littlewarning letting you know it is real.
Oh, that's crazy.
But if you do decide to playit, you don't even have to worry
about your score.
It's a grade.

(02:07:11):
So even if you beat the MOG,if you don't get the high grade,
you.
You just lost.
Like, wait a minute.
Tetris is a done deal for me.
Simpler.
Yeah.
It looked like they was lovingit at blurrycon, though, man.
So I'm like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was.

(02:07:33):
It was.
It was a hit at Blur Con.
Both games were.
But Panic game especially, Igot a lot of Downloads, and hopefully
DreamCon will be, you know, hitting for me.
Oh, yeah, that's.
That's gonna be the hit right there.
Are you in the.
Are you in the vendor hall ordo you know you're gonna be it?
No, I'm with the.
In the gaming section.
Okay.
So we'll probably come find you.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.

(02:07:53):
Now that I think about it,because with all the games.
Yep.
And they hat.
Yeah, that'd be cool.
It's.
It's a Zuri.
What all socials do you haveor pages can they find you on?
Yeah.
So for my cup, my studio,Kappa Ent, you can find me on Facebook,

(02:08:17):
Instagram, Twitter, X, Blue Sky.
I'm also on Tick Tock, but Ireally don't know.
I need to get better at TickTock, but I'm one of those.
And then for my developerprofiles, I'm on Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter X and Blue Sky.
All right?
So if you.

(02:08:38):
Everybody has a mobile device,I implore you to go to the App Store.
Go get that Panic Gym minute.
Panic Gym Odyssey.
I just need to get thedifficulty level.
That's all I needed.
Don't be like the far rightand let your ego get the best of
you.
Just go in.
There are easier difficulties.
There are harder difficulties.
I promise.
It wasn't ego.
It's just like we was inpassing and we was.

(02:09:00):
We was back and forth from thestream booth.
Right.
I was like, you know, if Ifinally got a few minutes to try
it.
I might as well get the fullexperience and see what all the characters
and everything.
So, like, you know what?
Max this thing out.
I don't know.
I.
I have a.
I have a goal.
I.
I always.
If you tell me the difficultylevel and be like, okay, bet.
Now, will I complain and cusshalf the time while I'm playing?

(02:09:21):
Probably now when I try to trythe other levels after, I'm like,
all right, this is a breezecompared to that.
But I've at least gotten tosee the highs and lows of the game
in the short amount of time wegot, so.
Well, Caleb, this has beendope having you.
Come on.
I'm glad we're getting gamedevelopers showing up and showing
off their.
Their wares and.
And like, we need more likethis and that.

(02:09:43):
That Panic Gym Odyssey.
I'm like, yeah, kind of.
I need an anime.
You're not the only person.
The voice actress for Parisalso said she wants to be an anime
animator.
JG said, hey, if you ever makean anime, let me know.
Maddox Ruler 2, who did allthe in game graphics, who's actually

(02:10:06):
making the Sega Cross Capcomfan game.
He did all of the.
The in game graphics.
These connections that thisman has.
The minute he mentioned ToastyMarshmallow, the entire panel said,
oh, it sounds good.
Okay.
He's like.
He jumped in there like, yeah, shout out to Toasty Marshmallow.

(02:10:29):
She has an amazing voice.
Amazing.
Yeah, she's on the.
She's on the Naruto tour, likeright now, as though one of the lead

I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
