February 27 1989, near Chicago Illinois, an unsuspecting man was leaving for work around 5am when he was struck in the head with a pistol then blindfolded and abducted. His family received a call demanding a sizable ransom. The ransom was a drug debt owed to some men with ties to the Mexican drug trade.

What exactly does an abduction near Chicago IL, a ransom and the Mexican drug dealers have to do with law enforcement corruption in Eastern KY?
