In this weeks episode we sit down with Nelson, a hard-working mechanic who has worked his way up to a Senior District Fleet Manager role with Waste Management. Nelson grew up in Senoia, Georgia, a town that gained fame as the location for the popular TV series, The Walking Dead. Despite humble beginnings, Nelson found his passion for mechanics at a young age and joined the US Army, where he spent time in Operation Desert Storm working to keep tanks and heavy equipment running smoothly. We discuss his time overseas, and some of the amazing places he was able to travel while in the Army.

After serving in the military, Nelson joined Waste Management, where he has been a vital member of the team for the last 28 years. He has exemplified the definition of hard work, putting his head down and dedicating himself to making a career at Waste Management a rewarding experience. In this episode, we dive into Nelson's journey, discussing his experiences growing up, serving in the military, and his long and successful career with Waste Management. We'll hear about some of the challenges he's faced, the rewards of his work, and what motivates him to keep pushing forward. Join us for an inspiring conversation with a dedicated mechanic who has truly made his mark on the waste management industry, and the next generation that he is training on a daily basis.
