birthdays and anniversaries andgraduation parties and weddings
and everything in between, um,including, you know, your club
gigs and any of the projectsyou're working on.
Yeah, weather's getting niceryeah, weather's gonna start
getting nicer so we're gonna beable to, uh, get outside, get
(01:43):
some fresh air, get out in thesun, you know, have families
come out.
You know which.
We're talking about somethingright now.
We haven't even told ourlisteners about it is all over
the Internet.
Right now, though, you know allover social media, we have an
event that we dreamt up and wehave made happen.
(02:04):
basically, it is coming up the23rd yes of february, which is
sunday, sunday the 23rd, and itis, uh, 14, 15, 18th street, yes
, which would equate to the 18thstreet parking garage yes so
basically, we are having arooftop party, if you will, a
(02:25):
rooftop picnic, on top of theparking garage.
Yes, first couple floors, youguys are welcome to park.
Yeah, but you will be stoppedbefore you get to the top floor.

And turned around
Hopefully nicely.

Yes, because there
will be families.
We will have a lot of peoplehopefully in attendance, a lot
of families.
We kept the price point very, very, very low, introductory,
almost at $10 for one ticket or$15 for two tickets.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
We're not in business
on this event.
This is a passion project, sothere's no budget and there's no
profit.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
No.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
There's no budget,
there's no profit.
You know everything is goinginto it, just to see if
Bakersfield responds.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
If we can determine
that this is something special,
something Bakersfield would liketo continue to do with their
families after this event.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
That would be fun.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
But it came together
kind of like a whirlwind, I
think.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Very, very, very fast
.
We met with the owner of theparking garage twice.
We locked that in, we posted,we created flyers.
We are investing inadvertisement.
It's getting posted andadvertised and coming up on
everybody's Facebook andInstagram accounts.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
So she will be out
there painting something live

You know, city outdoors.
You know all that good stuff.
We have Naleli face painting.
She's going to be out theredoing face painting.
For the kids, For the kids.
We have a jumper from RitzParties, Ritzy Party Rentals.
(05:39):
We have a jumper from them.
So we've got a few things outthere for the kids.
Um, we have a jumper from them.
Uh, so we got a few things outthere for the kids.
Uh, Ritz is also.
Ritzies is also going toprovide, um, I think, like eight
space eaters, if we think youknow the time between 11 am and
4 pm is going to warrant somesome warmth right yeah of course
.
Um, you know, if it does greatwe're, we're going to have about
(06:01):
eight of them out there if weneed to.
Yeah, what do you think?
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yeah, it's good, and
then we'll have like little
random games like Jenga andConnect Four maybe.
Connect Four and then.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Cornhole maybe.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
And Cornhole and
Tic-Tac-Toe Kind of in the
picnic area.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
And where the
families are going to be, the
kids can do stuff Outdoor familythings, yeah.
And where the families aregoing to be, the kids can do
stuff Outdoor family things,yeah.
We'll be playing music.
Oh, we got at least three DJs,uh-huh, djs, get in free as well
.
That's a special promotion kindof thing.
I mean, it's always going to bea thing of respect for me, for
the DJ community.
You know, you get in free.
Yeah, I don't think DJs everare on the receiving end of
(06:44):
anything.
Great, if you will, you get aveteran's discount, right?
You?
Speaker 3 (06:50):
get an.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
AARP discount or a
AAA discount.
We need some DJ stuff, so wegot to take care of our DJs.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Yeah, and then kids
under the age of 10 get in for
free.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Kids under 10 age of
10 get in for free.
Kids under 10 free.
Anybody under 18 needs to beaccompanied with an adult.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
This is going to be a
mature adult, family-friendly,
nice event.
No BS, nothing else, that'll betaken care of.
We do have security that wehired as well yeah, if your
kid's an asshole, don't bringthem yeah, if your kid's a
little shit and you're a parentthat lets your kid be a little
(07:33):
shit, hey, I don't bring them.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Don't do it you will
be escorted out yeah, ask to
leave and escort it out.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
I'll refund you and
everything.
We just don't want to deal withthat shit nope like I said,
this is a passion project andit's something that's dear to us
and something we want to makehappen, and it's something that
we are paying to have happen.
Uh, so it is our event yes um.
On a lighter note yeah we gotinto some drones recently yeah
(08:02):
we got into some drones, somedrone photography, if you will.
We did bring out the drone atthe formal pictures.
Yes, downtown, which was on18th street as well,
coincidentally where we took thepictures yeah, we got some
great pictures, some great dronefootage and yeah, we did get
some good drone footage, someaerial shots that you would not
(08:24):
have been able to get otherwise, which was nice, um, I think
earlier that day we were atchewy's earlier the day we flew
at chewy's.
Yeah, we uh wanted to stop by.
Rich had his barbecuecompetition out there at chewy's
and we wanted to stop by andjust say hi, you know, just
support, and uh, I ended updjing for a while yeah rich was
(08:47):
running around trying to dothings.
It's like, well, I can blend acouple songs together for you,
man.
No, no, big deal that's alwaysnice.
Yeah, yeah, you got somebodythat you can rely on help you
out, you know it's not like yougo out somewhere and there's 100
djs.
Yeah, uh, I guess, depending onwhere you're from.
I guess maybe if you're fromJersey, everybody's a DJ or
something.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
And then we got the
drone footage of Chewy's.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Yeah, we got the
drone footage of Chewy's.
I almost lost it twice.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
One was extremely
high and those major, major
power lines up there and then ifyou don't, if you're not from
bakersfield rosedale highway isa major highway yeah, it flew
over on top of rosedale highwayas well, um but we saved it, it
got back.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Um, we did the formal
uh oh, um.
And then the next, the next dayor a couple days after, we went
back down to the parking garagebecause we wanted to capture
more footage.
We're getting drone cocky.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Yep Very.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Very drone cocky.
So I was like, hey, your boy.
You know, I've been watchingvideos, I know how to do all
this cinematic stuff.
Now let's go.
So we got on top of thebuilding and, you know, launched
the drone and we started flyingaround big circular pattern.
You know, launched the droneand we started flying around big
circular pattern, you know, andwe had this one real nice
cinematic shot which we did postup until the wreckage.
(10:11):
So just know that at the end ofthat video the drone wrecked on
top of what.
Is it?
Eurekio's?
Speaker 3 (10:16):
I think so.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Eurekio's parking
garage, and prior to that, while
I was getting the drone ready,I dropped the iPhone that I used
for it and busted the screen.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yeah, you did.
It was not a good day.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
No, we went down to
Eurekio's and they were gracious
enough to let me climb on topof their building as high as
they were able to have access, but it wasn't high enough to get
the drone.
As high as they were able tohave access, but it wasn't high
enough to get the drone, so wehad to go back to the Haberfeldt
building and have themaintenance guy grab it for us.
Grabbed it and very, very, veryminor, minor issue with it.
(10:57):
That's been resolved.
So it's still good, it stillworks.
We've tested it, everything'sgood on it.
It's the cost of droneeducation I'm going to say um,
you know, they do have virtualflyers that you can use on your
tv and your computer screen, with those joysticks that you
use for them to help teach youor help get you better, like a
video game, which I am going tobe doing quite often very soon,
(11:21):
because drones are expensive andI really don't like breaking
things or he doesn't I take Itake very good care of my things
.
Yeah, I'm very, very weird aboutmy things.
Don't touch my things.
Yeah, my things are work and Iknow where they're at.
(11:41):
Yeah, I said it.
So what else do we have goingon?
We hit the casino a coupletimes.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Hit the casino a
couple times, played one of our
favorite games, which is EurekaTreasure Train.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Eureka Treasure Train
, one of our favorite games and
we hit a couple majors on itfinally, yeah, we did.
Hit a couple majors on it.
That was kind of nice andthat's.
You know that money's gonealready.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
But we got a lot of
good things.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Yeah, yeah, we DJed
over at Condors, we dj'd over
there.
I believe that was last monthyeah yeah, we went down there,
dj'd.
We've had a quite a few mostdope podcasts here at the house
various guests.
We had derrick b up from uhvallejo yeah yeah, which is Sick
(12:45):
Mix.
We had Ajax up there in Napa orwhatnot.
Which is Ajax?
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
We had Stacy, our
graphics girl, on there, she's
amazing, yes, she is.
Our website is almost done,apparently.
So CaliEntertainmentGrouporgyes, we'll be live very soon, um
, and it will have informationon booking and everything else,
with myself and miss marion overhere for busy bee creations and
(13:17):
the uh, the companies under theumbrella of cali entertainment
yeah so that website is.
Uh.
She's almost done with that andI'm going to review it, I think
, tomorrow.
I think I'll get a preview of ittomorrow.
I'll get to review it and makesure all of our integrations are
in there and everything forlike our CRM software and all
(13:39):
that good stuff.
Oh, it was Nate's birthday theother day a couple days ago.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
I didn't even know.
Messaged him, said happybirthday I'll have to message
him too yeah happy late birthdaynate, sorry bad friend.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Happy late birthday.
Homie blame facebook it didn'ttell me that's who I'm turning
off your notifications.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
That's who?
Speaker 2 (13:58):
I.
That's who I use for birthdaynotifications facebook.
If it's not on there, you don'thave it in there.
I'm you know.
I'm probably not going toremember yeah I'm.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
I don't have that
kind of memory no when's our
anniversary baby uh, march 5thno no no what is it?
Speaker 2 (14:18):
march 10th march 10th
, see told I don't know, I was
close though.
Fyi it's coming up 360 days andI got it within five-day range.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
I did pretty good All
right, all right, I'll give it
to you.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
It's our anniversary.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
Yeah, it is.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
What are you going to
do for?
Speaker 3 (14:38):
me.
I know, babe, hint, hint, hinthint, hint, hint.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
What are you going to
do for her?
Speaker 3 (14:42):
I don't know, it's
not my job.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
It's your job.
It's not your job, it's yourjob, oh Huh.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
I don't know about
that I think they're supposed to
go both ways for a healthyrelationship.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Supposed to take care
of each other.
I think.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Not just one person,
what day is for men.
I'm pretty spoiled.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
What day is for men?
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Every day, men?
I'm pretty spoiled.
What day's for men every day?
No, that's true way, what dayis for men?
Every day?
No, hell, no.
When's men's day?
Every day?
No, yes why?
Speaker 1 (15:19):
because this is a
man's world, pretty much oh man.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
So a couple of casino
trips.
We got our event.
We had.
We've had three events over itoff the rails.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
And I almost forgot
about Odd Future Night.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
Oh, that's right.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Odd Future Night was
a decent night.
Uh huh, but my boy Mac Miller.
Oh yeah, that was fun.
Mac Miller's birthday, hostedit off the rails.
Uh was an amazing, amazingnight.
Yeah, uh, so many people.
We had, uh, you know, over 60,I think it.
You know, various pointsthroughout the evening.
Um, it was, it was very, verynice.
(15:59):
And then, uh, becca hit me uponly like with a week's notice
for this next one and if youknow, I would go down there on
Saturday or whatnot.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
I was like.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Of course, you know
I'll always help out.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Wait, let's, let's go
back, let's rewind a little bit
and talk about Mac Miller night.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Mac Miller night.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
OK.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
I don't know, I don't
want to talk about the one
thing.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Yes, we're going to
talk about it because I think
it's ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
It just ruins the,
you know.
That's why I choose to cut thatchunk of memory out, but it's
like people should know.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
People should know
that you just don't do those
things.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
I let people know.
I let them know.
Yeah, so Mac Miller Night wasfrom 8 pm to 10 pm, originally
Yep, two hours.
Mac Miller, or Mac Millerfeatured, or Mac Miller related,
if you will, artists.
So you know you're talking.
(16:55):
Thundercat, you're talking.
You know, odd Future, you'retalking.
All of those guys.
Yeah, you're talking SZA, whoMac knew about long ago.
So I mean I'm rocking it.
You know, cocky or not, I didwell that night.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Very.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Um, I would expect
nothing short of that from
somebody that claims they're ahuge fan of a particular person
or group.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Right.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
You better know their
catalog and I do.
Yeah, and it was clear.
Everybody was happy, everybodyis having a ball.
If somebody come up asking mefor a request, it was either
queued up or already, or it wasdown the line ready to go in a
different BPM, took all of themFle, flew with it, no problem.
Well, it was going so well.
(17:41):
We got asked to stay anotherhour, which is awesome.
I'll stay three, four, five, six, as long as you're making
money.
That's what I'm here for.
I'm here to help you out.
I'm here to have fun, play musicand ensure that you're making
money.
Yeah, you know you don't needme there to lose money.
You can do that on your own.
I don't want to be a part ofthat.
I don't want to be a part ofyou paying me when nobody shows
(18:04):
up and just.
It doesn't sit right with me.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
I don't like it no so
we had a little lady two girls,
some some broad, not littlelady yeah, I can't call her a
lady I'm trying to be nice thisbitch for real this bitch their
titties hanging out oh yeah, shehad major under boob, but you
told me she had pasties on or
Speaker 1 (18:28):
something at least to
cover the nips I don't
Speaker 2 (18:31):
pay attention to her
um she, I don't know if they
came in at about 9.15 orsomething.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
More like 9.30.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
They came in quite
late.
Now I've already played two anda half hours, or two hours and
15 minutes either way, of MacMiller and Mac Miller-esque
music.
I've already played it.
Some songs I played a coupletimes, actually Very, very, very
(19:03):
dear Mac songs I played acouple times.
For you know, if somebody wasthere at 7 and they heard it at
7.15, or if somebody showed upat 8.15, they got to hear it at
8.15.
So I played these importantthings, what I felt was
important, multiple times.
Well, we close at 11.
And this lady, well, this girl, broad Broad, this bitch, this
(19:26):
busy, this little hussy, she, they're dancing the whole time
too, her and her little friend, they're dancing the whole time
too, her and her little friend, they're dancing the whole time
and they leave and they comeback in with their.
She comes back in with her cellphone, on, on facetime facetime
on mirror mode so it can see herface and it can see off the
(19:48):
rails interior right.
And she says I came out to macmiller night and they didn't
even play.
Mac Miller and everybody therethat had been there throughout
the night had just looked ateach other.
Like you know, is this bitch ondrugs or something Like are you
crazy or like like everybodywas coming up to me and you know
(20:10):
, thanking me.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
Yeah, I had such a
great time.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
You know,
complimenting and supportive and
just just a good, good, goodgroup, good crowd, good
atmosphere.
And then this girl tried toscrew it all up I know but we
didn't let her no we went overto jerry's pizza and rocked out
with dose moochos.
We did, yeah.
Dose came by early that nightyeah mac miller's birthday.
Uh came by early at off therail, said hi before he went and
(20:38):
performed over at jerry's.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
So we support people
that support us yeah you know,
it's very simple yeah, just comegive some love and it's nice,
even if they're taking five orten minutes out of their day,
out of their busy day exactlyall we were doing was setting up
.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
At the time we I
hadn't mixed a single song, I
hadn't played I hit the playbutton, I hadn't done anything
yet and we sat and we talked forfive or ten minutes, reminisced
, gave each other some love anddid our things.
And then we met up later thatnight and hung out for a little
bit.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
No, and then we went
home.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
We went home yeah,
that was good.
We um so we had odd futurenight over off the rails.
We had mac miller his birthday, which was the best event that
we've had with off the rails sofar and I think, one of their
best events that they might havehad for a while.
And then this last weekend, which was a late one, one, a
(21:34):
last minute thing is like hey,you want to come down and play
some reggae or whatever, someisland vibe-ish, some soca, some
Afro beats, whatever, and wewent down there and played all
that, but it was a very slownight.
It wasn't a great, a greatcrowd or a great, anything like
(21:57):
that and those happened likeeverybody had something going on
, right the people that werethere, they, they enjoyed it
while they were there.
You know, yeah, that's uh becca, that was becca's atmosphere,
that's.
You know, that's what shewanted for that night.
And we, um, not only do we havethe ad created, but we had
(22:18):
advertising done for it.
So you know, we're not out herejust raking people and like not
doing anything, trying to.
You know, are we promoters?
No, but yeah, you know, we'redjs and we're, we're
entertainers and artists andthings of that nature.
But you know what, until you'rein a place that you don't have
to promote yourself, you have topromote yourself.
(22:38):
It just is what it is.
Stacey does all of our graphics, all of our flyers, knocks them
out.
Her art, her vision, her styleis very complementary to ours.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Yeah, lines up with
us.
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Yeah, lines up with
us.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so we hadthat.
We had Bug over hereBakersfield Underground.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Oh, that's right, we
did All the guys.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
We ordered barbecue.
We brought barbecue food in andBug came in and we had an
amazing podcast.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
We did.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Episode nine, maybe
of the Most Dope.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
It was fun.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
It was hilarious, it
was fun, it was spontaneous,
spontaneous Spontany.
What Spontaneous, spontaneousJesus Christ man.
I'm about to make fun of myself.
I'll get in trouble on thispodcast, though, if I do hey.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Babe.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Hey, I don't care,
whatever that's what I did.
I did something.
Very hey, you guys, hey, hey, hey, get some Fat Albert and
some Goonies.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
That's a cross
between the both.
What about when we delivered myring?
We found a cool little spot.
Might be doing something.
Just a little hint hint.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
Yeah, yeah, we had to
ship a ring off and we had to
get some stuff in order to do soand we came across a location
and a gentleman that we spoke toabout the location and it might
be something that we do fairlysoon.
Yeah, I think we should, probably after Beats Over the
City.
(24:23):
That'll be our next littleproject, maybe in March or April
, depending on how Beats Overthe City does.
That may continue monthly untilbad weather season, september
or something.
So we have March, april, may, june, july, august, september.
You know, june, july, thosemonths right there in the middle
might be a bit hot.
(24:43):
You know we have to.
We have to use them cool months.
What is what are we going toconsider our cool months?
March, april, may and then June, july is probably no go.
August is no go, probably notuntil September, october,
november which even I think wecan do it outdoors still in
(25:06):
those weathers.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Yeah, I think we can.
Yeah, we can, did we?
Speaker 2 (25:10):
mention that we got
two other DJs going to be.
We did not mention that we havemore than one DJ right.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
Yeah, we did, who we
did.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
Who did we mention?
We didn't mention the namesthough.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
Oh no, we didn't
mention the names.
No, dj.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Dynamite and DJ Dos
Muchos.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
In addition to myself
, gordie B and probably who
knows how many DJs are going toshow up.
Djs are going to show up.
Djs getting free yeah.
And if none of us mind or we'renot doing anything and we're
not busy on the decks, then youknow what you want to do a
little quick set or session Goahead.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
You know the crowd
will love it.
You know the people that aresitting there in the picnic will
love the variety.
It's a variety.
You know, if you can get 30minutes of each DJ, you have a
great variety hour of each DJ.
We're going to go from 11 am to4 pm, so we have five hours.
So I think I would still liketo get one or two more DJs in
(26:09):
there.
I'm pretty sure Airflow will bethere.
I'm pretty sure he will.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Yeah, and I'm sure
he'll drop a set yeah, I think
so too.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Yeah, I think some of
our peeps will be there I hope
so, but I hope a lot of peoplewe don't know are there.
I hope a lot of people thatpossibly follow us or, you know,
even enjoy our podcast oranything like that on social
media or anything else that wehaven't really met in person
yeah, I hope we meet them yeah,me too I would like to meet some
new cool people, some goodpeople yeah then you know you
(26:42):
have that many more connections, somebody who knows somebody,
who knows somebody right yeahlike we don't know what the fuck
we are doing with this event no, we, we're just going with the
flow, like we're just having funenjoying life and want to just
give a piece of that toeverybody yeah, I wish I could
(27:03):
tell people.
I knew exactly what I was doingall the time.
I'm gonna tell everybody rightnow.
I have no fucking clue what I'mdoing ever.
I am just not that afraid tofail no afraid to look foolish,
afraid to have people judge me,and I don't really care, because
after that person judges meI've learned something else
(27:25):
already.
I'm not going to make have thatquestion again yeah and I'm
going to be able to utilize thatknowledge for something going
forward yeah so you know, wedon't know what we're doing.
We're getting an event together.
We're basically throwingourselves a party.
We're throwing ourselves aparty on the rooftop because
myself, gordon Baldrige, djGordy B always wanted to have a
(27:47):
party on a rooftop somewhere, attend one, and I always wanted
to DJ on a rooftop somewhere.
This is going to accomplishboth of those things and, like I
said, we have I don't know, weprobably have 10 or 11 people
already coming out as vendors orartists or whatever it may be
yeah um, we got a lot we do andthere's not a whole lot of spots
(28:13):
up on that top of that parkinggarage.
You know we're estimating twoparking spots per vendor, yeah
Right, which I'm going to assumeis about 10 feet by 10 feet.
You know, standard parkingspots, you know five by five.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Five, no wait 10.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Probably not.
Five by five.
What are standard parking spots?
Five by four maybe?
Speaker 3 (28:33):
Maybe I don't know.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Six five by five,
what a standard parking spot.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Five by four, maybe,
maybe, I don't know.
Six, six foot has to be likesix foot, six foot deep.
Yeah, at least look how longtrucks are they gotta fit in?
That's true is it is a parkingspot 10 foot, by what?
Speaker 3 (28:49):
four feet five?
Speaker 2 (28:49):
foot, I don't know.
Anyways, there's goddamn lineson the fucking concrete upstairs
and it's called a parking lot.
Yeah, and we've kind of justestimated out you know what 13
total 14, I believe it was 14total possible.
But again, we're very selective.
(29:10):
I say I won't say picky, butwe're being selective about our
vendors.
We want things that make senseand will synergize with each
other.
For instance, scotty haslemonade and Primo's has
barbecue.
I'll take barbecue and lemonadeall day, you have the Sweet
Shack who's?
going to probably have thatDubai chocolate and some other
(29:32):
things like that.
Is she going to have theFresca's there?
She is right, I don don't knowI think she might.
I don't remember what ali saidI don't know um, you have the
antojitos del 661 and those aregoing to be like the bacon wrap
dogs.
So if somebody doesn't want tospend barbecue money,
(29:53):
necessarily, or taco.
And Fuego's Tacos.
We got taco money.
You know, there's something foreverybody there.
Yeah, there'll be a price rangefor everybody.
Yeah, I mean, if you have 20kids, barbecue might be
expensive.
If it's just you and your wife, hey, get that barbecue right.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
You have 20 people
with you and you want to feed
some mouths, it might be cheaperto go with Antojjitos or fuegos
or you know whoever else and,uh, like I said, amy's gonna
have them slices out there yeah, amy's gonna have slices out
there, cupcakes, and yeah, it'llbe fun, it'll be, it's gonna be
(30:30):
a great day I really hope so.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
I really hope so.
I uh, worst case, like I said,um, we threw a party on the
rooftop and maybe we made a fewfamilies happy yeah best case,
it's a wild success and itbecomes a thing of bakersfield
yeah you know, it will, Ialready know know, do you?
Speaker 3 (30:53):
I already know, do
you Uh-huh All?
Speaker 2 (30:55):
right, you know, I
think I'll pick up a couple of
the R&B Sundays tickets.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
And I'll give those
out.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
Yeah, we'll give some
stuff away.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
We'll pick up a
couple comedy show tickets from
Clyde.
We'll give those out.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
Might give out a
couple photo booths.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
A couple photo booth
rentals.
Not photo booths, oh no, sorry.
Photo booth rentals I'm gonnarun this through our lawyer
before we post this, uh, we donot want to be liable for having
to give somebody a completephoto booth no, a photo booth
rental, yeah, speaking of photobooths.
Uh, cali entertainment groupwill be on site with a photo
booth, uh-huh yeah we will bedoing that and oh, hey, hey,
what?
Speaker 3 (31:34):
go ahead, I got
something, I got an ace in the
pocket.
Though, go ahead, you don't got.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
Yeah, we won't be
doing that.
Oh hey, hey what?
Go ahead.
I got an ace in my pocket, though.
Go ahead, go ahead.
You don't got nothing.
Nope the banner.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Oh yeah, Whew Yep.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
So Stacy created the
flyer in the typical flyer size
8 1⁄2 by 11 or whatever it maybe.
Well, we decided, hey, we wanta big banner, yep.
And what better than Beats Overthe City at the top of what the
graphic that Stacey made us?
(32:05):
Yep.
So Stacey went ahead andrecreated that top graphic with
Be over the city to accommodatethe QCS quick custom signs
company here in Bakersfield witha SVG or some you know
vectorized file or whatnot, highquality file that can be
(32:25):
manipulated, stretched if youwill without it losing its
quality, its quality andpixelation and stuff like
Speaker 1 (32:33):
that.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
They printed it out
in less than 24 hours, handed it
to us in less than 24 hours andwe got a 10 foot by 4 foot
banner for Beats Over the City, which will be there, hung up
proudly, right With a bunch ofballoons from Busy Bee Creations
laying around it.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Maybe some pillars,
you know, we'll see we'll see.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
We'll have trash cans
out there.
Y'all, don't be filthy, I'm not.
I'm not your mom, I'm not yourdad.
I don't like dirty people.
If you're dirty, I don't likeyou, you know, deal with it.
Uh, pick up after yourself, clean up after yourself.
We'll have trash cans all overthe place and all the corners,
everything else, and uh, we wantto do this again.
Um, I'm not going to do itagain if I have to pick up
(33:24):
everybody's garbage and stuff, though yeah and you know it's
it's.
It shows some respect, showssome appreciation, have some
morals and values and things ofthat nature.
And even if you normally throwtrash around or just leave
things laying around, hey, pickit up for us please.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Yeah, yeah, but come
out, bring your families, invite
your friends.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
Yeah, I think it's
going to be a great little event
.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
I think so too.
It'll be chill, it'll be fun, you'll hear good music.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Yeah, so we're going
to have food, music, photo
booths.
Yeah, crafts vendors, we'regonna have somebody painting on
site.
You can sit and watch somebodypaint a big old I don't know.
I think she said something likea three foot by four foot
canvas or something which willbe four hours of painting, I
(34:24):
think, from the complete setup, breakdown and painting the whole
time okay um, what else do wehave?
We have something else and I'mmissing it.
I know I'm missing it.
What's the other thing we'remissing?
Speaker 3 (34:38):
I think that's it.
Oh, we have Havana Night comingup again.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Havana Night that's a
big thing to miss, babe.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Yeah, Havana Night's
coming up again.
Come on Havana Night.
Havana's been great to us.
Havana has been great um goodpeople, good vibes.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
I mean it's just fun
always the most um professional
people there yeah always themost courteous, nice, kind,
friendly, appreciative peoplethere, and I think we're going
to fly the drone around inside, are we?
(35:27):
Yeah, why not?
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
Inside of 1933?
Sure, let's give that drone aflight, or let's have it follow
the instructor or something.
Let it do its own pattern.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
We'll see yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
And have it return
home each time, hopefully we
don't hit nobody.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah, but that's
Havana nights, the last thing
this month.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
We have a photo booth
and we have a couple private
little parties In between.
Yeah yeah, we have a photobooth and we have a couple
private little parties Inbetween.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Yeah, yeah.
But Beats Over the City will beon February 23rd.
Yeah, havana Nights on February28th.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
When's the comedy
show?
March what?
Speaker 3 (36:04):
The comedy show is
March 15th.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
March 15th We'll be
back in 1933 with Clyde for the
comedy show.
That is going to be a lot offun.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
I am going to attempt
to make it very, very hard for
the comedians.
I want everybody to have such agood time pre-partying, if you
will, before the comedians comeout.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
That the comedians
better be great.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
They will, yeah,
they're always good.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
He always brings
great, so we have greatness all
around We'll have great music.
We'll have great comedy, have agreat evening, and we need to
hold each other to those greatstandards, if you will.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
Comedians need to
hold the DJs to it.
Djs need to hold the comediansto it.
We got to hold the promoter.
Promoter got to hold us.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
We got to level up.
I think that's it, beba, that'sit for now.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
I don't think we have
very much more.
That actually sounded like alot.
G's Body Works is picking backup quite a bit.
A lot of body work.
Um, the thc oil is a massivehit oh yeah, it's doing great,
it is massive.
Uh, the feedback that we getfrom that oil is is amazing
(37:30):
amazing yeah yeah, it's amazingI hate to get real excited.
Oh, it's a miracle, it's, it's.
You know it's not a miracle, but um helps you relax.
It is a great, great oil.
It really worked out very niceand, uh, we'll be having to
source a lot of shake and thingslike that so we can keep
creating that oil and having onhand.
(37:52):
Oh, we got some tattoos it onhand.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Oh, we got some
tattoos.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
Well, I did.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
Well, pretty much.
We got some tattoos because youknow I don't have any.
Yeah, your body is my canvas.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
Yeah, I got two more
Mac Miller tattoos on the leg
and I finished up the littleskeletal on the hand and I'm
happy with all of it.
Um, I don't recommend the.
I don't recommend the hand noum, I have tattoos all over my
body and, um, the hand is fine.
(38:25):
It's the fingers and thefingers.
The fingers aren't terribleeither, it is closest to the
cuticles.
It is the cuticles.
And oh my God, yeah, it's not afun thing to do to have your
cuticles tattooed.
Not at all, and I remember itbecause I had my thumbs done a
(38:47):
long time ago, but I don'tremember it being that goddamn
bad.
I must have smashed a thumb alot more than I ever hurt these
fingers or something, because, yeah, that was not good.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
We were also able to
give our friend some oil, our
friend Joey.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
Yeah, our friend Joey
.
Yeah, we got him some oil, wegot him some edibles and we got
him some infused olive oil.
He was taking the olive oilMm-hmm.
He was taking the olive oilstraight to the head raw, which
is fine.
Speaker 3 (39:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
A couple teaspoons of
it or whatnot, he's sleeping
better, I'm told.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
But you know they
have hospice and everything out
there, so I don't know.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
I don't know.
Rick didn't seem real, likethere was a ton of time left
yeah so you know, at least wecan do.
We went over there.
Oh, we took a man.
We went and got a peach pie.
Oh yeah, we were over there.
We went over there to visit.
I just wanted to go visit.
I did his uh celebration oflife.
Uh, he wanted to have a party.
Last year he was going throughmassive cancer treatments and
(39:56):
stuff like that, which isultimately what's taking him out
.
Right now he's not on thosetreatments anymore and I guess
he's on hospice or somethingvery similar.
But I wanted to go visit him.
I did a celebration of life forhim.
I DJed for him one night, forhim and his family and friends.
So we went and hung out and,you know, made things real light
(40:19):
.
You know, make people laugh.
I was making him laugh, probably hurting him because of
his torso and what he has goingon with his rib cage and
everything else in there.
But I didn't think to bring thestuff over to him initially
right, but once we got there, we, you know, we were hearing
(40:39):
things of, you know pain and uh,unable to sleep and, you know,
not eating a ton and stuff likethat.
So I was like man, well, youknow, I got this, I got this oil
that it's amazing that Iinfused personally, um, from,
and I also have this oil that Imade personally olive oil
(40:59):
infused.
I said I'll bring some to you,and we were talking, and then,
you know, you get to talk andlaugh and somehow a peach
cobbler came up.
And then you know, obviouslywhen peach cobbler comes up,
then right that, um, mariecalendars, peach pie has to
answer the equation, right?
yeah uh, so that was the one ofthe days we went down to the
(41:20):
parking garage to scout thingsout and we came back by marie
calendars picked us up a pie, picked them up a pie, came back,
grabbed some oils and stuff andwent over to the shop, picked
up some edibles for him anddropped him off and that was
about it.
That was about it.
I've been checking on Rick andthe family and stuff here and
(41:41):
there, messaging him, makingsure that they're okay and, you
know, seeing how he's doingthere if he needs any more,
because I'll make more.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
No, big deal.
Speaker 2 (41:50):
Yeah, but that's it
y'all.
We don't really have much morethan that.
Uh, we hope to uh be back in acouple weeks.
Uh post beats over the city, post havana night and probably
post a comedy show.
So we'll uh we'll be back thethe week following march 15th
probably, and uh update you alland let you know what's going on
(42:11):
, how it went and and what'sgoing on in our lives.
Yeah, and we appreciate youguys listening in and joining
and we hope you guys have a goodlife okay, bye.
