A once in a lifetime opportunity. We say this all too often. But in the case of Matt and Jared, their 2023 has been full of them. October 29, 2023, was no different. Matt and Jared had the opportunity to meet a legend in the outdoor industry while he was on his book tour, Mr. Jim Shockey. Jim has just released his first novel, Call Me Hunter. Matt messaged Jim about getting together to discuss the book on a podcast, to which Jim said, "Easy as pie." Matt and Jared read the novel in less than a week so they would be able to discuss the book with Jim. Fair warning, Call Me Hunter is not an autobiography of Jim's life. Or is it? Jim used many of his life events, historical facts and a little bit of fiction to create this thriller. Jim flips many of the stereotypes we have come to expect from Hollywood and the New York Times Best Seller list. Jim's hope?
