SPEAKER_00 (00:33):
All right, so we
have just recorded episode three
of our one shot, and um we'regonna do a little behind the
scenes, behind the blunders, andand chat about what the players
think so far about this crazymind-bendy campaign that I've
been giving them.
Um so if if you want, we canrecall all the way back to
(00:54):
episode one and and review alittle bit of that, or we can
just dive right into what werecorded today.
SPEAKER_02 (00:58):
I I want to just
talk about everything.
Okay.
I want to I want to I wanna Iwant to start theorycrafting.
Uh this is Mamir, by the way.
I want to start theory.
I want to get in there.
SPEAKER_00 (01:07):
It sounds like
Jared, even though it is Mamir.
Yeah, it is.
SPEAKER_02 (01:11):
Very distinct
voices, but it is.
Um no, I wanna I wanna I wannaget your guys' thoughts because
I know that your characters arelike somewhat chill right now.
They're like a littleuncomfortable.
Like my mind is racing.
Okay, so I have a couple ideas.
Uh like body snatching is one ofthem.
Like they got body snatched.
(01:32):
Uh another thing is like, butwhy dogs?
And so that's like my main thingis like, why why try and why try
where did the dogs go?
Yeah, where's the other dogs?
Yeah, what and what happened?
Are they like eating them or arethey like um like why are they
going after?
Also, um, how did it all kickoff?
(01:55):
Like, is because it's likethey're naturally growing um
mushrooms.
So maybe they found themushrooms underground.
Um but they're seeing they'relike they're not like violent,
maybe, but they're uh it's justweird.
Like I I I there's a lot ofdifferent things.
(02:15):
Maybe um like they turned on theheat because they were like, oh,
okay, we need more heat, andthen the mushrooms climbed up
while they were sleeping orsomething like that, you know.
So I want to get your guys'thoughts.
What are your guys' thoughts onthat?
SPEAKER_03 (02:31):
Oh, at the moment
because so here here's the thing
that I've noticed, at leastplaying through so far with the
mushrooms, yeah, they they seekwarmth, right?
Yeah.
So like the one that was tryingto get into Gordon's face,
basically, right?
I think that that is somehow howthey like body snatched.
SPEAKER_02 (02:49):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_03 (02:49):
Right.
Well, also kind of like when yousay body snatched, what do you
mean by that?
SPEAKER_02 (02:53):
I think it's like a
full, like uh there's a Star
Trek episode where a worm sneaksinto one of the uh ears of the
like passengers, and then it itlike uh like basically controls
their minds.
Okay, yeah.
(03:14):
That's what I'm thinking.
SPEAKER_03 (03:14):
That's that's what I
I I'm leaning towards also just
with We couldn't like kill thethings, right?
They still were moving, even inthe cold, right?
Yeah.
And so for them, like you cansplit them, they still move,
right?
Yeah.
So like there is this kind oflike them just taking over,
right?
Kind of like what would be likealien, you know, can I think of.
(03:36):
Um so there's that.
Um or it could even have beenlike a chef was cooking, right?
Started cooking some of themushrooms.
Although it seems like they weremore like researching the
mushrooms more than anything.
But there were some mushrooms, Ithink, that weren't well that
(03:57):
weren't the same.
There's some normal likemushrooms within there are these
mushrooms that were different.
SPEAKER_02 (04:02):
Yeah.
Uh just for reference, uh, I wasreferencing Star Trek The Next
Generation, uh, Conspiracy isthe name of the title.
Season uh first season and 25thepisode.
Um, and I just remember that andI'm like my my alarm bells are
like ringing because they alllike acted like humans, but they
(04:23):
didn't do normal things.
Yeah.
And so that's kinda uh Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (04:29):
Alright.
I I'm surprised.
I mean, I didn't think that thegreen goo was from a gelatinous
cube.
Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00 (04:38):
Oh, so the goo that
you saw around the lab was
fuchsia.
SPEAKER_01 (04:42):
Oh, it was not
green.
You haven't seen green.
Oh, the picture was green.
Yeah, that's what makes it.
No, if it's purple.
No, I'm thinking the acid.
SPEAKER_02 (04:49):
Yeah, the acid is
what um was or the the green
goo, like the was in the center, the ice block.
Okay.
SPEAKER_00 (04:57):
Yeah, that's what
there was a greenish ice block
in the ice lab.
SPEAKER_02 (05:00):
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (05:00):
And then there was
also one of the labs that had a
ton of acid and acid burns.
And that one was green.
And so there was an image of alab covered in green.
But most of the jelly, maybecalling it jelly versus goo.
SPEAKER_01 (05:12):
It's like fireweed.
SPEAKER_00 (05:14):
Yeah, is a fireweed
color.
And again, for those of you whoare not from Alaska, fireweed is
a plant that grows here, andpeople make jelly out of the
blossoms.
So it has this bright fuchsiapink color.
So that's the reference I usedfor the fuchsia jelly.
SPEAKER_03 (05:27):
But at the same
time, okay, one of one of my
things though is with the shoot, what's his name?
The guy that was flying at thebeginning.
SPEAKER_00 (05:33):
You found out his
name is Agro.
SPEAKER_03 (05:34):
Agro, yeah.
Okay, so aggro.
Um how on earth was he flying?
Or was he a wizard?
SPEAKER_02 (05:42):
Yeah, he seemed to
be a wizard.
And he seemed to be I mean hecast two, like if I obviously
metagame in a little bit, buttwo lightning bolts is lightning
bolts.
Third level spell, he can fly, which is another third level
spell, um, and he cast it threetimes.
So he must have been a prettyhigh level wizard in my in my
brain.
Yeah.
Um, mechanical-wise.
(06:03):
Um, but um I also think thatlike what like he was missing an
arm.
Oh, he must have been low onhand.
Or a hand, yeah.
Hand on his uh, yeah, no, hemust he was at one HP basically
because it's like one D6 offalling damage.
SPEAKER_03 (06:21):
So that's like Aggro
actually a good guy?
Because Okay, here I'll I'll getto it, yeah.
The reason I say is Um So whywould his arm be chopped off?
Hand, sorry, his hand, if maybeone of the mushrooms attached,
right?
And so he just cut it offbecause he knew he couldn't
destroy.
(06:41):
Oh no.
And the dog has a has one of themushrooms in it, and he's been
maybe that's where they got intothe dog.
SPEAKER_01 (06:51):
Did we look at the
dog?
SPEAKER_02 (06:52):
No, we've not done
anything.
We said Nar should take care ofit because I had so much going
on.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (06:58):
Because you were
handcuffed.
SPEAKER_02 (06:59):
NARS back at the
NAR.
Yeah, because NAR is gonna do agreat job on that.
SPEAKER_00 (07:04):
So you were
handcuffed with the dead body.
And we didn't have your keys, and so um, and you couldn't
carry the giant dead body.
And so Gordon helped you carrythe body to your office.
Yeah, you can't get it.
And you got the keys there.
SPEAKER_02 (07:16):
And then I'm
curious.
Brad, you're spot.
I think you're spot on withthat.
I think you are because theywere so happy to see, or like,
to be like, oh, bring him backto us.
Maybe they you only can getpossessed if you're like um in
like an unconscious uhcondition.
(07:36):
Does that make sense?
Because they were maybe like hisdeath, they weren't super broken
up by his death.
His death.
Yeah, they were kind of, butthey weren't sure they were
like, oh, that's sad, but theywere bringing him back though.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Um they don't have much empathy.
Yeah.
(07:58):
I'm oh I left him in uh but thatthat could also be I'm the worst
security guard ever.
SPEAKER_03 (08:06):
So that's what I'm
wondering, because sometimes,
you know, just what looksobvious when you're just
standing there of some guychasing down a dog, right?
Seems like, what's wrong withthis guy?
He's terrible.
But he could have been he couldhave been trying to save us.
SPEAKER_01 (08:20):
I didn't try to kill
him.
I didn't think it was gonna killhim.
SPEAKER_02 (08:22):
I did try to stop
multiple times.
I did yell at him multipletimes.
Yeah.
But maybe like if you're like ifthe dog gets to the base, you
know.
You're just here's hooked.
SPEAKER_01 (08:33):
Well, you named the
dog.
SPEAKER_02 (08:36):
That's it.
And we didn't name the wizard.
SPEAKER_00 (08:38):
That was really You
didn't know the dog's name until
later.
SPEAKER_02 (08:41):
Yeah, but still,
like you it's a dog, it's
manipulation of our Yeah, you'remanipulating us in your own
knowledge versus the U DM.
U DM You know we like dogs here.
And that's not fair.
SPEAKER_01 (08:54):
Did you mention uh
the dog's name?
The the relationship of thedog's name.
SPEAKER_00 (08:59):
Yeah, I did.
You did.
SPEAKER_01 (09:00):
Okay, so Wiley's
dog's name is Finn.
SPEAKER_02 (09:03):
Yeah, so when the
dog now we're double
manipulating manipulated.
SPEAKER_01 (09:09):
Is that what my
first thought?
I was like, ah, she she calledit Finn.
It's a good one.
Like it's a good dog.
It's a good dog, yeah.
Well, isn't the dog with us?
SPEAKER_03 (09:18):
When the dog is back
at our base.
SPEAKER_00 (09:22):
When the dog
arrived, y it just was there and
it was scared.
Yeah.
And um I think it kind of ranpast you guys and he shot at the
dog.
Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03 (09:31):
And so then um Well,
it came and jumped behind me.
SPEAKER_00 (09:33):
And the the kennels
was right behind you guys.
And so the dog went into thekennels because um got lightning
bolted.
Mops is lodged the lightningbolt.
Yeah, it got hurt by it, but itdidn't.
SPEAKER_03 (09:43):
No, no, it still
did.
Because I I took some of it, ittook some of it.
I took some of it.
I took a lot of it.
SPEAKER_00 (09:48):
Yeah.
Um because he rolled a betterdeck save.
Yeah.
I think you've I think one ofyou guys save.
SPEAKER_02 (09:53):
Yes, I failed.
SPEAKER_00 (09:54):
Um surprisingly for
a rogue, I'm shocked.
SPEAKER_02 (09:57):
Uh you know, one
more level.
SPEAKER_00 (09:59):
So So he went in and
um around the time after you
took the body into the storageunit, your office, um, that's
when you guys checked thecollar.
And so the collar said fin andit had the istigha cool.
SPEAKER_01 (10:14):
Um I think we would
have noticed if there was an
octopus in the on the dog.
SPEAKER_02 (10:21):
But the dog would
just act like riding the dog.
Yeah, yeah.
Chemo.
Well well, Nard did put it in acage.
SPEAKER_00 (10:28):
In the kennel.
SPEAKER_02 (10:29):
Yeah, in one of the
kills.
SPEAKER_00 (10:30):
So And you guys took
all of your dogs because you
have um the harnesses and stuffthat you have for your dogs even
hook them up.
SPEAKER_02 (10:40):
Why were they so
happy about the dogs?
SPEAKER_01 (10:42):
No clue.
Maybe they're the dogs.
The dog became a big thing.
SPEAKER_02 (10:49):
Maybe we're all
dogs.
SPEAKER_01 (10:54):
Got that dog cast.
SPEAKER_00 (10:57):
That makes me think
of up um when they they put the
in in the movie up where theyhad the dogs can talk.
SPEAKER_02 (11:03):
The dog.
If I wasn't a security guard, wewould have stayed.
I just want you guys to know.
Because I think Jared wouldn'thave been like, like, if I was
playing like another character,if I was playing my main camp
campaign character, I would haveI probably would have stayed uh
in there.
Um but just spent the night?
SPEAKER_00 (11:22):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (11:22):
Spent the night
there because yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (11:24):
Because you guys are
kind of outnumbered.
SPEAKER_02 (11:25):
Yeah.
Well, that's one of my biggestthings is like I felt like we
were like, I don't know, likethere was no aggro, but there
was a lot of tension.
Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_03 (11:37):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (11:38):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_03 (11:40):
It's it's a thing
for me where and that's what's
funny, is my character Gordonwould be very just kind of like,
okay, whatever you guys want todo, kind of you know.
But me, me as a player, like, orjust me, I would have been like,
alright, I'm out of here.
Like, nope, yeah, nope, nope.
SPEAKER_02 (11:58):
I'm curious if it is
like a situation when they get
cold, it like because my goingtheory is that there's like some
kind of brain snatching going onright now.
But it's weird because the footwasn't a normal foot, but that
all lined up.
So maybe that's like a normalthing.
(12:19):
Like that I because I was like, okay, well, that's just weird.
But I'm curious if we turned offthe heat completely and froze
them out.
Would the mushrooms get ejectedfrom their brains?
But then again, because I don'tknow why you would turn down the
heat.
You know what I'm saying?
Because they turned it down.
Yeah, they had to turn it down.
SPEAKER_03 (12:40):
Well, who did
though?
That's the question.
SPEAKER_01 (12:43):
Oh, it could have
been aggro.
It could have been aggro andturned it down, locked them in
the in the cave.
unknown (12:48):
Oh.
SPEAKER_01 (12:50):
And then went after
uh a stray dog.
SPEAKER_02 (12:56):
And then we're why
did he go after the stray dog?
Because it had a well, therewere more dogs too.
I wish we had Speak with Dead.
This is why Speak with Dead isthe most broken spell.
As a DM myself, Speak with Denalways rose.
Uh Necro Necronic.
Yeah.
(13:16):
Yeah.
There we go.
SPEAKER_00 (13:18):
You would go back
and speak with Agr's dead body.
SPEAKER_02 (13:20):
Yeah, we would and
get more information.
Yep, I did not.
I took And we would have learnedso much.
Gaseous form.
But you couldn't it's a clo itwould have cleric.
Yeah.
You took Gase's form instead?
Yeah.
That's isn't that an hour tocast?
SPEAKER_03 (13:36):
Oh gosh.
Is that just Alan farting ormaybe it's 10 minutes?
SPEAKER_01 (13:42):
No, one action.
Oh, is it one action?
Yeah, yeah.
Up to an hour.
I was thinking of something.
Oh no, it lasts up to an hour.
SPEAKER_00 (13:50):
Maybe if you're
ritual casting it or something.
SPEAKER_01 (13:52):
And Gash's form is
transmuted transmutiens.
So I tried to stick with the.
SPEAKER_02 (14:01):
That's right here.
Yeah.
Oh, you do.
I'm upset.
I'm upset.
SPEAKER_00 (14:08):
Um It wouldn't
really make sense that any of
you would have Speak with Dead, though, because no one has died
at the research base and you'venever encountered anyone else.
SPEAKER_01 (14:15):
Yeah.
Alan, I mean that's why he hasgaseous form, and uh I don't
want to leak too many of his funspells that he hasn't a
fireball.
But he does have spider climb.
And that was very fun.
SPEAKER_00 (14:30):
That was a great
thing to just whip out of your
pocket.
Yeah.
There wasn't a roof.
SPEAKER_02 (14:34):
Well, even if we got
in a combat, that would have
been really in there.
Yeah.
Because they could have reachedyou.
SPEAKER_01 (14:41):
Yeah, your running
and walking speed is the same.
You can just go up freely leftand right, and you don't have to
use your hands.
SPEAKER_02 (14:48):
I am upset for two
things.
Because I want to figure outMamir wants to figure out the
full puzzle.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But I'm also upset because wepro you're you're probably
right, Brad.
And I'm I'm upset.
You know, not that you figuredit out, but I'm upset just in
(15:08):
general, because I double tappedhim.
I double tapped the dead guy.
He died from falling down.
And he was probably making deathsaving throws until I pull Cross
bro to him in the head.
So that was that's great.
He's like, kill him.
I'm these guys don't understand.
(15:30):
I'll explain after I killed thedog, and then he's like his
falls.
Bop pop.
That's another fall.
Yeah.
That's so funny.
What were you gonna say though,Brad?
Okay, go.
SPEAKER_03 (15:41):
Um, yeah, I don't
know.
It's it's hard because it's likeyou're trying to you you want to
figure out, like, but there'salso this side of like, I don't
want to die while I'm hereeither, or get taken over,
right?
You know, so it's like it's kindof hard where you're like, I
want to know what happens, but Idon't want to die.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (15:58):
I was just gonna, if
we figured it out, I was gonna
be like Pyra, explosives rightnow.
And I was gonna open the doorand just have her basically like
grenade the whole cavern.
SPEAKER_01 (16:09):
Um, but we didn't
figure it out.
So when you were in the doorway,we I didn't end up doing this so
I could talk about it.
So you were get you were talkingto them and telling them, oh,
we're gonna we're gonna go uhtalk to each other, yeah, we're
gonna discuss, and then we'll beright back.
And then that's when the um theneck octopus Jerry thing.
Yeah, the Jerry ordeal happens.
(16:30):
So um when Jerry and I stoppedbeing there.
What I was planning on doing wasactually leaving outside, um
using invisibility, and thenwalking back inside as you close
the door.
Uh-huh.
And so I could hear them talkabout us after they thought that
we left to see if that wouldwork.
(16:51):
See if there's anything.
I'm thinking like if they're notright in the head, they just
like stand there.
SPEAKER_02 (16:56):
Probably they would
I'm curious if they would they
went like full like shut downuntil until we uh were yelling
and stuff.
SPEAKER_03 (17:06):
Well, I think no
that there's something that they
were doing down there, right?
SPEAKER_02 (17:11):
Because we did hear
that it felt it didn't feel like
actually mining.
Does that make sense?
Like it wasn't like a tung tungtung tung tung tung, you know,
like a constant mining and likeone little Yeah, tink.
It was like uh almost like arobot like going ting, ting.
That's what at least I'mpicturing in my brain.
SPEAKER_04 (17:31):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (17:32):
And I will say, if
if you guys want, you can still
fake right away.
Alan could say, Hey guys, howabout I infiltrate?
If you still wanted to do thatin next episode, I think that's
perfectly reasonable.
SPEAKER_02 (17:44):
We just don't want
that time.
We don't have time with thesame.
SPEAKER_00 (17:46):
Uh I mean, so you
had technically an hour of flex,
you would just be pushing it.
So that would be if you if youroll if you rolled poorly,
taking the dogs back, you couldplay.
SPEAKER_01 (17:57):
Part of me likes
home field advantage, though,
like bring them to us.
SPEAKER_02 (18:00):
Yeah, well, I feel
like our home field is home
gotten with the dog.
I this is my theory is that thesecond because our base is like
ripe for warmth.
SPEAKER_01 (18:13):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (18:13):
Everything is warm
there.
Like it's it's prime warm.
Oh man.
Um, and we have also the arcanething shutting down, so
everybody's already insane.
Like everybody's already losing.
Yeah, they're already loopy.
Uh, not that we know, like weknow that there's gonna be
effects, but so it's like doubletrouble there.
(18:35):
That's kind of what I'mthinking.
Um, the weird thing is I want tocall back all the way to the
first episode that vase that wefound.
SPEAKER_03 (18:43):
Oh, right.
Yeah, I forgot about that.
SPEAKER_02 (18:45):
There's something
that's going on there that I
don't know.
And it was found on the top ofthe snow.
That was like a big deal.
So I want I want to what do youguys think that's about?
It's just full of mushrooms.
We're doomed.
(19:06):
Yeah, someone just left on topof the snow.
I was like, nobody will everpick this up.
Well, I'm glad we took Pyra umbecause that's the worst person
to fight, I feel like.
If she has fireball, we would begood.
So there's Yeah, yeah, that'strue.
SPEAKER_00 (19:17):
Um, so you're saying
you're glad you brought her?
Yeah, because to ensure that shedidn't let nothing happen to
her.
SPEAKER_02 (19:23):
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah.
I think that's the mostdangerous person because Nar is
constantly asleep anyway.
We'll know right away from evenjust like Java's personality if
he's Yeah, but won't we beaffected by the That's what I'm
worried about is that we goback, we fail our saving throws,
we're affected by the sickness?
(19:44):
By the sickness more thananything else.
And so we can't like can I saywhat my sickness is?
SPEAKER_00 (19:50):
Yeah, you you can.
It's past now.
You guys have cured from it.
SPEAKER_02 (19:53):
So it was like a let
me pull up the exact wording
here.
Oh, I'll tell you what mine was.
SPEAKER_03 (19:59):
Yeah, go ahead and
tell it tell what was this.
Basically, it was uh I was sohungry, like I could not shake
the.
I thought that was gonna be soliterally it was uh you you get
so hungry and you snack so muchthat you even start eating
things that aren't food.
Hence why I started eating thejelly and everything.
SPEAKER_00 (20:20):
You didn't go for
forks, you didn't go for like
anything.
You were like straight up jelly.
SPEAKER_03 (20:24):
I was like, yeah, I
was like, in Gordon's mind would
probably be like, this probablyisn't food, but it's close to
food.
It's close in a way.
And it was kind of getting like, all right, I'm starting to get
like it's gonna get to a pointwhere I'm just gonna be eating
things, and then you're like, hey, your sickness is over.
So I was like, oh, okay.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (20:44):
I figured that was
yours.
Something that that was like conlike uh your addictive
personality becomes more.
SPEAKER_03 (20:50):
Yeah, it's the I
brought all the macrons, right?
That makes so much sense.
I was like, oh, road snacks, yeah, because I would be
thinking like I'm so hungry,I've got to bring food with me.
And so I would just be snackingthe whole way, and then even
once getting there, like, whatdo they got?
Food, hence go like, I'm gonnago to the kitchen.
Yeah, you know, that's where thefoods lie.
SPEAKER_02 (21:11):
Yeah, mine was
repetitive patterns, so I kept
on touching the shoulder of him,and I was like, You're hey,
you're such a hero.
You know, yeah.
And so like I was like, I wasgoing into like leaning in,
like, I was gonna do it uh whenwe came back.
I was gonna be like, Hey,doctor, I I'm so excited about
you, and just keep touchingpeople, um, and just keep on
(21:34):
like uh so that was my sicknesswhen I I'll be honest, whenever
whenever you first started, andit was uh was it Java that you
were talking to or something?
SPEAKER_03 (21:44):
Yeah, Java, yeah.
And you were just like, I'm likeso almost like I'm so proud of
you kind of thing.
I was so I was literally a partof me was like, is his sickness
like now encouraging people?
Like that is he can only affirmpeople.
No, he can't like you know, justanything, it just has to be
(22:04):
affirmations, yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (22:06):
But I wanted I
wanted to do something that was
like like almost uh heightenedwhat he would be doing, like
what he thinks and stuff.
So everything was gonna be likeway more dramatic, way more like
uh like touching like people andthings like that.
Or like if if it was still goingdown, I would just start
touching like the goop.
(22:26):
I would have been like touchingthe goop and stuff.
Like completely opposite, butlike heightened his like
awareness because he has highinvestigation, high perception,
which is like always aware.
So it's like, oh I let me feelstuff, let me ooh, let me look
at things like moreheightenedly, more obsessively.
SPEAKER_01 (22:45):
What was yours?
It was so I didn't see it untillike we were already in the
kitchen um of the the second ofIstigia cool.
And so my what I was going to doonce I saw it, my idea, um so my
sickness was that I have uh Iwas attached to a lucky charm,
(23:07):
and if I was more than thirtyfeet away from it, I have a
disadvantage on like everything.
Whoa.
And so I was looking for anotherstick, like in their lab.
That was so funny.
But when did we receive thatback before we even traveled?
SPEAKER_00 (23:20):
It was before you
even traveled, and I think you
replied to me and I didn'tnotice it because I was like
because we were moving on.
SPEAKER_01 (23:26):
So uh it would have
been the stick that he was using
to flip the the Roomba overanyway.
So yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (23:44):
But yeah.
Um yeah, I don't know about thethe pot.
The pot is what I'm I'm a littleconcerned about.
Um, but now I feel like we havethree things that we have to
figure out.
I think the pot's uh not fullyrelated.
Um maybe a red herring orsomething.
Could be.
Um is that what you were thwhat's your red herring?
What did I say to you?
(24:05):
Kippo Kippo looks over at mewhile the squid is like attached
to the.
Oh, I thought his squid was ared herring, but then it
actually started to attack.
SPEAKER_01 (24:14):
So it it was not.
SPEAKER_00 (24:15):
It was not a red
herring.
SPEAKER_01 (24:17):
In fact, it was not
a red herring.
SPEAKER_00 (24:18):
So Jerry was so
cute, and then you were like, oh
yeah, Jerry was.
SPEAKER_01 (24:21):
I was like, okay,
yeah, but it's gonna be the
people um or something else.
And then you said both.
And I'm like, there okay, it wasthe frozen cube.
SPEAKER_02 (24:28):
I think that was the
Yeah, I just don't understand
how he got stuck in I guess theywere doing experiments, and
maybe the heat got turned upwhile they were doing the I just
I mean that just seems to melike it's just wasn't dissolved
yet, so they froze it when itwas just like getting to the
foot.
Yeah, it was weird because uhthe way you described it was
(24:49):
like almost an AI that wastrying to make a foot.
Um, his his actual Yeah, but i Idon't understand um Yeah, I
don't know.
Yeah, that's a little puzzlingto me.
I'm I'm guessing that's anactual thing, but they're like
remembering fake memoriesbecause they were also mixed up
(25:10):
on that too.
SPEAKER_03 (25:12):
Right.
Um yeah, because first uh Buddyhad mentioned it was uh muddy or
musty.
SPEAKER_00 (25:20):
I think he said it
was aggro, maybe?
SPEAKER_03 (25:24):
I think he said
aggro, and then the the old lady
said that it was muddy.
No, stinky.
Stinky.
Yeah.
Stanky stanky, sorry.
SPEAKER_01 (25:34):
Sorry, my bad.
No, that's stanky.
I'm the one who messed it all upbecause I or sorry, Alan is all
because he just mishearseverything.
SPEAKER_02 (25:42):
Alright, so we all
came to the conclusion that
they're brainworms.
SPEAKER_01 (25:47):
Um and if it was
going for his eyes and his mouth
and nose, like Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (25:53):
I would assume so.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (25:55):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (25:56):
Yeah.
So brain worms, dogs infected, Idouble-tapped aggro.
SPEAKER_03 (26:01):
I I have a feeling
that our base is like way under
attack.
SPEAKER_01 (26:05):
Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03 (26:05):
I think we're gonna
I I think we're gonna head back
and be like, oh.
SPEAKER_01 (26:09):
It's only been four
hours.
SPEAKER_03 (26:11):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_02 (26:12):
That's so much time.
It is.
So much time.
And we have such a parasite hasto leave the dog from inside of
the dome is so like the maindome, if it can infect that
area, we're doomed.
I also crazy chicken stuff.
Let me hold up.
Let me say this real quick.
(26:33):
Hold up.
Um, I think they're a lithidmushrooms.
I think they're a lithidmushrooms.
I don't even know what thatmeans.
Uh so lith are like squidpeople, and their whole thing
are like they have mind, they'recalled mind flares.
Okay.
Um, and so they kind of likestranger things.
Yeah, it's yeah, that's wherethe the uh Stranger Things got
(26:55):
it from.
Gotcha.
Yeah.
Um, and so I think that they'relike mind flare mushrooms.
Um and they like almost likethat, yeah.
Yeah, almost like almost tookover the uh uh micon um mycon
people.
Yeah.
Yeah, and I think that's likecells.
SPEAKER_00 (27:18):
Yeah, myconoid?
SPEAKER_02 (27:18):
Is that yeah.
I'm gonna look it up on don'tget mad at us.
I'll I'll look it up.
SPEAKER_00 (27:24):
Um Mycanid, I think
that's how it's shroom people.
SPEAKER_02 (27:30):
Um but I think that
because they look like their
spaceship from the astro plane.
That's what the mushrooms looklike, if you guys needed a um Oh
okay.
Um is that uh oh oh yeah, andnow show them a lithid uh or um
mind flares.
(27:50):
Look at mind flare.
Um but yeah, I so I think thatthey they got like possessed or
something, and now they're likebasically living something like
that.
Um because they come from theastral plane or the underdark.
Um I could be wrong, I think.
I think there are astral planeentities.
I could be wrong on the war.
(28:11):
Um I'm doing an astral.
SPEAKER_00 (28:13):
Remember, it is
homework, so yes, yeah, yeah.
And that's it's not necessarilygonna follow all like if if
you're correct as not as I findall of the expenses.
SPEAKER_02 (28:21):
But I think I think
that would uh is something of
that nature of of I think it's Ithink it's those two.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So you know Brad is new to D Dand so uh he's now looking at
Mind Flares for the first time.
Looks kind of like Davy Jones.
Yep, exactly.
SPEAKER_03 (28:39):
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
SPEAKER_02 (28:40):
So that's kind of
that's my theory, is that
something mixed between thosetwo because they're all about
like possessing the mind.
SPEAKER_01 (28:48):
Yep, right, right,
right.
Yep, okay.
Shout out to Boulderscape.
A Mind Flare was uh my firstever main boss and our first
thing that I did back in 2015.
They're brutal.
Yes.
SPEAKER_02 (29:03):
It was a stun
effect, yeah.
Yeah.
And then they can be eat yourbrain for like 12 d10 damage or
something.
It's it's kind of crazy.
And on the back of your brain.
Anyway, um, really good mystery.
Thank you so much for doing agreat job.
SPEAKER_00 (29:19):
Good.
I hope it's not too complex andno, it's great.
SPEAKER_01 (29:24):
If you think, yeah.
It's good.
SPEAKER_00 (29:26):
Good.
Well, yeah, your characters um Iassume they're they're heading
back to their own base, notgonna circle back around um with
invisibility, so they'll have anhour sled dog ride to mull it
over.
SPEAKER_01 (29:37):
And sip on some fire
whiskey.
SPEAKER_02 (29:40):
The problem is if we
find out that this is I don't
know what we do back atthe 'cause like Again, I I think
we're gonna be met by something.
Yeah, but you know what I'msaying?
Maybe the the the second onecould be going back and facing
those people the second time.
Uh after this one off maybe uhYou never know.
SPEAKER_03 (30:00):
Which I do find it
interesting that they they
weren't aggressive.
They weren't aggressive.
Yeah.
It's an interesting part.
SPEAKER_02 (30:08):
Well, I think they
just need more people.
Sometimes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They need more people to infect.
There's not a lot of people outhere besides your entire family,
supposedly.
I would send out a warning tothis.
SPEAKER_00 (30:23):
Which we did
clarify.
Gordon is confused.
Yeah.
His family is not nearby.
SPEAKER_03 (30:28):
He's just concerned
about his family, but he's like,
uh, I mean, he's beenhallucinating ever since he got
here.
The spikes detected from thestart.
No.
The spikes.
Oh, goodness.
Cool.
SPEAKER_02 (30:43):
Well, thank you guys
so much.
SPEAKER_00 (30:44):
Yeah, it was super
fun.
It's been it's been good so far,and we have at least one more
episode's worth.
So it'll be it'll be fun to toplay again and and figure out
what we find.
SPEAKER_03 (30:55):
Yes.
SPEAKER_00 (30:57):
All right.
Cool.
Well, that's it for today.
