I'm Premier and I play
Zard Mythron
Wylie (00:33):
And I'm Wylie Sloane,

We are an actual play DnDpodcast with a lot of comedy and
improv and fun.
So if you're new to DnD, don'tworry.
Stick around for the story, andyou'll probably learn a little
bit of DnD on the way.
So we're gonna take off withour very first episode of
campaign one.
So, players, I'm gonna ask youto please close your eyes.
(01:17):
Listeners, don't do this,especially if you're driving.
Okay, so players, please closeyour eyes.
You sense yourself slowlyrising to consciousness.
It's like rising to the surfaceafter being submerged into a
dark, watery chasm.
At first, your senses aredulled, but you slowly begin to
(01:39):
process your surroundings.
You feel the cool earth beneathyour body.
You inhale the still and humidair.
Roll for initative
Mimir (01:49):
Oh boy.
Okay.
Kipo (01:54):
Eyes close.
I don't know what I mean bythat.
Wylie (01:56):
Everyone has to close
their eyes while rolling the
dice.
Kipo (01:58):
It sounded like an 18.
Pretty sure it was a man.
That would have been funny if Irolled an 18, but I did not.
Brad (02:06):
I rolled a six.
Wylie (02:07):
So we got it.
Kipo (02:08):
Are we adding our um we we
could just do plain rolls for
this one?
Wylie (02:12):
Oh, sorry.
Brad (02:12):
Three then.
Wylie (02:13):
Three.
Three, nine.
Nine.
Ooh, roll off, roll off, rolloff.
Mimir (02:20):
Oh, you're so doomed.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Two.
Kipo (02:23):
Fifteen.
Wylie (02:26):
Okay, so we're gonna go
Kipo, then it'll be Brad, then
it'll be Mimir.
So Kipo, you start to wake upfirst.
You feel a drop of water splashonto your face, bringing you
fully to consciousness.
As you rub the water from youreyes, you realize that you're
lying on the cold stone floor ofa cave.
Your blurry eyes begin to focusat the rough earthen cavern
(02:50):
around you.
As you sit up, you feel a bittired as if you've had a great
journey to get here in just asingle night's rest.
But you cannot recall how yougot to this cave or where you
were before.
Can you please describe yourcharacter for us?
Kipo (03:04):
Yeah, so before you uh you
see a short, as he's just
sitting up, he's even shorter,um Rock Gnome who is wearing
some scale mail and has a littlebag on his side full of uh well
(03:31):
it's kind of enclosed, so let'sjust leave it at that.
Just a little bag on his side.
Um he's got some regular brownhair, uh not wearing a hat.
Uh seems like someone who hasnot been marked up or scarred by
the world pretty clean, uh fora rock gnome, that is.
(03:53):
And yeah, I mean that's that'spretty much what he looks like.
Wylie (03:59):
As he's waking up.
Kipo (04:00):
As as he's waking up.
Wylie (04:02):
Um our characters for
this campaign are gonna be level
three.
So could you tell us what hisclass and everything is?
Kipo (04:10):
Sure, yeah.
So uh he is a cleric with aguild artisan background.
Wylie (04:19):
And he's level three.
Cool.
He's level three.
Awesome.
All right, Brad, your characterstarts to wake up.
Can you please describe yourcharacter for us?
Brad (04:27):
Yeah, so um this character
wakes up.
Um he is a teenage uh elf, awood elf.
And so he's got kind of sandybrown hair.
Um he's very skinny andscrawny.
Um, and he is uh basically hehe's got on this like leather,
(04:53):
like more more like a hide kindof like armor uh that he's got
on, but it's a little too bigfor him.
Like it's it's kind of likethat that doesn't look like that
fits.
Uh meanwhile, he's got a healso has an axe.
Um this really bigdouble-headed axe, uh, that's
really long handle.
(05:14):
Uh it's it's just massive, uh,way too big for this like
teenage kid to be uh to have.
Wylie (05:23):
Okay, great.
And can you tell us um whatclass he is?
Brad (05:27):
Right.
Uh so his class, uh he is awood elf, druid, um, third
level.
Um his background is he's anoutlander.
Wylie (05:36):
Okay.
Yeah.
Great.
Mimir, can you describe yourcharacter?
Mimir (05:40):
Yeah, uh I am playing
Zard Mython.
Uh he is a seven uh foot sixinches uh Goliath.
Um he uh is uh scarred all overhis body with tattoos of like
different kinds of stories andthings of that nature, like
(06:00):
people um that are like runningfrom dragon or individuals that
are like uh singing and thingslike that, and the scars blend
in with those tattoos.
Um he has a long black beard,um, and it's well kept, um, but
it's very big.
Um, and he has this bald headwith tattoos all over his head
(06:24):
of like arrows.
Um, and as you look down to hisright eye, uh he has this like
um eye patch uh that is likebrown and uh black, uh like
almost yin-yang symbol, um, butbrown and black.
Um, and it's across his eye,and he has a gigantic uh three
(06:46):
uh lines coming down his eye, uhscars um across his eye.
Um and he has these like um hisleft eye is uh blue uh and
green kind of uh like flickeringin between that.
And he has cool um like warpaint under his uh eye.
(07:06):
He's wearing a chain shirt umand he uh has this massive book
uh on his left uh side uh withlike art that also is like um
maybe shifting, and and when youfocus on it, it doesn't shift,
um, but it looks like every nowand again it looks like it
(07:27):
shifts.
Um and it has just stories umthat blend in with his tattoo.
He has these hide shorts umthat are from some animal that
he's killed, um, and these cooluh like black boots uh that he
wears.
Um and he has a big smile onhis face um with uh just amazing
(07:49):
white plur pearly uh teeth.
Uh and on the side, he I I uhdon't think I have my weapon,
correct?
Wylie (07:57):
No weapons
Mimir (07:58):
I um I don't have my
weapon on me, but uh it's this
like cool um like silver um likesheath uh that has like a rock
uh and a person pushing a rockup a hill.
Um and so he like sits up andhe's wiping his one eye um and
(08:20):
he's smiling uh and just lookingaround.
Wylie (08:23):
He's smiling even as he's
waking up in this strange
location.
He's like what a happy guy.
So your characters don't have amemory of even really where
they come from, their ownpersonal history.
Um you do remember your ownname, but that's about it.
You don't know where you camefrom, how you got here.
(08:44):
Um but similar to Jason Bournein Bourne identity, you have a
sense of your skills andabilities, and you do you don't
recognize each other and thatyou know each other's names, but
you have this sense that you'rehere together as a team.
Cool.
So you don't have aninclination to murder one
another initially.
Initially.
We'll see if the you guys getthat inclination later.
(09:06):
Um, but here you are.
You have woken up uh togetherin this cave, and you don't know
how you got here or exactlywhy.
Um can each of you give me aperception check?
Mimir (09:17):
I am also a swords bard,
I forgot to mention.
Wylie (09:20):
Yes, our Goliath is a
swords bard.
Mimir (09:25):
Perception.
Morpheus (09:28):
Mm-hmm.
Mimir (09:29):
Mm-hmm.
Morpheus (09:30):
I have an 18 six four.
Four.
Mimir (09:37):
We're dead.
I'm just gonna go.
You got it, you got it, lockit.
Wylie (09:42):
Um so with a four, our um
our gnome and hit whose name is
Cobble Flint Whistle.
Cobble Flint Whistle.
You are in a cave, so of courseyou notice the rocks.
Uh-huh.
There are a lot.
This is a stone cavern.
There are stalagtites andstalagmites.
Wylie doesn't know which iswhich, but I'm sure Cobble does.
(10:05):
Cobble does.
And um you you're like, ooh, this is an interesting cavern.
That's what you see.
Kipo (10:11):
Almost shaking
uncontrollably.
So excited.
Wylie (10:15):
And then Zard, you are
our next highest.
Um next lowest, you mean?
Yeah, next lowest.
Well, I mean, next highest orlowest.
There's only three, so that'strue.
Half cup full.
Mimir (10:24):
Wow, that's true.
Wow.
Wylie (10:26):
Um, so you do notice that
it's not an entirely stone
floor.
There's some dirt areas andstuff, and it definitely is
damp.
Um, and but you also notice,oh, I don't have my weapon.
I don't have food or water orgear.
And so at this time, I'm gonnacollect all the beverages and
snacks from the table in reallife, and you guys will not get
(10:49):
any snacks or beverages untilyour characters do.
I'm serious.
No, this is rough.
You better find your gearpretty fast.
Brad (10:56):
Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
Mimir (10:59):
I'm gonna attack somebody
in real life and careful.
Oh, and my drinks?
Oh, I need them.
I'll put this in.
We're doomed.
Listeners, we're doomed.
Kipo (11:11):
My gosh.
Wylie (11:13):
A lot of snacks.
Kipo (11:14):
There's a lot of snacks.
Brad (11:15):
I don't know how long I'm
gonna make it.
Yep.
Kipo (11:18):
This wasn't in the
contract.
Mimir (11:20):
This wasn't in the
contract.
Wylie (11:22):
All right.
Um, but Brad, with an 18, yourcharacter um sees that there
looks like there's um somerotted wood on the floor.
This Cavern.
All right.
Brad (11:37):
Got it.
Wylie (11:38):
You were hoping it was
food and beverages.
Kipo (11:40):
Yeah, put them back on the
table.
Um Ladies and gentlemen, wecan't um yeah.
Wylie (11:50):
So there's there's um
some pieces of rotted wood mixed
over in the sandy area um inthe cavern.
So that's what you're able toobserve.
Morpheus (11:59):
That's all I noticed.
Wylie (12:00):
I mean, aside from
everything else that everybody
else is noticing as well.
It's kind of compoundingperception.
Mimir (12:06):
Is it like warm right
now?
Like is it is it warm outside?
Wylie (12:09):
Or yeah, so you're in a
cave, so the air's cool but
humid and damp.
Mimir (12:14):
It's not like winter time
or anything like that.
Wylie (12:15):
It it doesn't seem to be
right now.
Yeah, it seems to be a prettycomfortable temperature, but a
little bit, you know, cool anddamp.
Mimir (12:23):
Uh oh, I mean, I stand up
and I wipe off my eye and I go.
Zard (12:28):
Hello there! I'm
Zard Mython.
Very nice to meet you all.
Um, I'm in a predicament.
I do not have my weapon or mysupplies.
Um Whom are you to be?
Morpheus (12:42):
Oh hey, uh, I'm I'm
Morpheus Swithblood.
Uh so I I don't I don't knowwhat's going on, guys.
Uh who are you?
Why are we here and uh uh whereuh what is going on?
What what is happening?
Zard (13:01):
I'm I'm Zard Mython.
I said that.
Morpheus Swiftblood, what isit?
Yeah, Swiftblood.
Swiftblood.
Wow, what a great name.
Morpheus (13:12):
Yeah, uh what what the
heck do we do?
Zard (13:16):
Yeah, I don't remember
much at all.
Kipo (13:19):
My my character is uh
looking like at you two, like
just going back and forth withhis head really quickly, and
then but also looking over atthe closest wall to him.
Like like he really wants to goto the wall, but he doesn't
want to be impolite and and justleave.
And so he stands up, all threefeet of him, and he says, uh,
(13:45):
I'm Cobble.
Cobble (13:48):
Wow.
Um excuse me, one second.
Kipo (13:51):
And he runs over to the
wall and immediately starts
chipping away at the wall.
Zard (13:59):
Hey, sorry, my excitable
friend.
Um, I apologize uh forinterrupting your wall time.
Morpheus (14:07):
Uh so what guys re
seriously, what what do we do?
Like I I I don't know what todo.
Like, can uh I'm assuming my myguy would probably just start
looking around, trying to findhelping look around.
Wylie (14:20):
Yeah, sure.
I mean with that 18, you'dprobably the sandy area seems
like a place to start lookingfor stuff.
You saw, you know.
Morpheus (14:28):
So you said there was
rotted wood.
It's rotted wood.
In the sand.
Mm-hmm.
Wylie (14:32):
Yeah.
Morpheus (14:33):
I guess he would just
start maybe pulling the rotted
wood out.
Wylie (14:36):
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
So it's like it's definitely inkind of a pole shape.
Like this maybe looks like itwas a handle for a tool.
Morpheus (14:43):
Okay.
Wylie (14:45):
Yeah.
Morpheus (14:45):
So he pulls it up.
Wylie (14:47):
Yeah.
So you pull it up and the thesand is pretty soft.
It doesn't seem like there'sstone immediately like it it's
not stone like the rest of thefloor.
Zard (14:58):
Okay.
Excuse me, Cobble.
Kipo (15:03):
He's in the corner.
Yeah, he's over in the wall.
Cobble (15:08):
Oh, fascinating! Oh,
this is wonderful.
Zard (15:12):
Oh, did you find
something, Cobbler?
Kipo (15:15):
Uh he comes uh running
back and he's just like
fastening the little bag on hiship.
Um and so he runs back to you.
Hey, did you find did you findour thing that's our belonging?
Cobble (15:30):
Oh, of course.
You did?
Oh, no, no.
I found more friends.
Oh, okay.
Wonderful.
Um Hello!
Zard (15:40):
Hello, hello, hello,
hello.
Mimir (15:44):
No one responds.
Wylie (15:46):
No one responds.
Zard (15:47):
Oh, I'll leave that for
later.
Mimir (15:48):
Um, and I take a note of
uh I'm just r you know writing
everything and I'll be like, uhdo you need assistance there, my
my young fellow?
Morpheus (15:57):
Uh I'm I'm just gonna
start digging and see what I can
find.
No, Gary.
Zard (16:01):
Uh I will help you out.
Cobble (16:02):
Digging?
You're digging.
Morpheus (16:04):
So he just starts
digging in the sand to see what
if he finds anything.
Wylie (16:08):
Yeah.
You start digging with yourhands, I assume.
Morpheus (16:12):
Yep.
Wylie (16:12):
Yep.
So you guys are all diggingwith your hands and um or maybe
the rotted stick.
Yeah, using the rotted stick alittle bit.
And um eventually you hit withthat stick.
And you feel that there issomething solid down here in the
sand.
So as you keep digging, you'reable to pull out a whole metal
chest.
Mimir (16:33):
Okay.
Here, let me lift that for you.
And I just lift it.
Nice.
It's a big guy.
Yeah.
Wylie (16:42):
Oh, let's see.
Um there is a lock on thischest.
Zard (16:46):
Well, may I borrow that
stick real quick, my friend?
Sure, sure.
Unless you want to.
Morpheus (16:52):
I just want to do it.
I've got this, yeah.
So uh yeah.
Zard (16:58):
I'll give you a Bardic
inspiration.
Wylie (17:00):
Okay, how do you give him
a Bardic inspiration?
Mimir (17:02):
I'll be like, You have
this, my friend.
Your muscles are like and Iflip to a just a random page,
and it talks about like this uhlike uh gorilla that like lifts
up a rock uh from uh and saveslike a bunch of uh people um
from this massive cave.
(17:23):
And I'm like, you're like agorilla on the inside, and you
can break anything that youwould like.
That's within reason, ofcourse.
Morpheus (17:34):
Oh yeah, awesome,
super cool.
Alright, so he just tries tobreak the lock with the stick,
okay.
Mimir (17:41):
Uh, and you get a D6 uh
inspiration.
So you're gonna add that.
Wylie (17:46):
It is gonna be a 15
difficulty to break it.
Morpheus (17:49):
Okay.
What'd you I got a 16 ofstrength?
I have zero.
Mimir (17:57):
Yeah, that's good.
No, you can keep that for 10minutes.
You got that inspiration.
Wylie (18:02):
For anything.
Mimir (18:02):
Super cool.
Wylie (18:03):
Awesome.
So you with this stick andfeeling so inspired, and um
teenagers, you know, sometimesthey're just so well rested,
even sleeping on the ground.
So you just have this energy.
Brad (18:13):
It's got a you've got a
new back, you know.
Mimir (18:15):
It's a young back.
He's fine.
I just looked around for mysnacks and I was like, there
isn't.
I'm upset.
Wylie (18:23):
Hopefully that reminds
you characters.
It does.
Find their food.
So you are able to open thischest.
Um, as you open it, you findthat there are water flasks, but
they're empty.
unknown (18:33):
Oh no.
Wylie (18:36):
You find that there are
food pouches, but the food is
rotten and moldy.
And you also find your startinggear and equipment and weapons.
Mimir (18:46):
Okay.
Wylie (18:47):
You're able to draw all
those out.
There's also a folded piece ofa parchment that appears to be
blank.
Kipo (18:54):
Would we know our weapons?
Yes.
Okay.
As soon as you see them, yourecognize this is mine.
Immediately lay eyes on his warhammer.
Huh.
And brings it up if it's uhreach.
Wylie (19:14):
Okay, yeah.
Kipo (19:14):
Oh, it's in the chest,
that's right.
Okay, yeah.
Yeah, he just grabs that and hegets so excited, and then he
now that he has his war hammergoes back to the wall and starts
chipping away at the rocks.
Wylie (19:29):
So you don't pick up your
pack or any other stuff, no,
just the hammer.
Mimir (19:33):
Uh you see, I grabbed my
pack and things like that, but
you see this beautifully crafteduh scimitar.
Um, and it has a uh Goliath onit, like a figure and a much
bigger figure on it.
And the the smaller figure isan individual with like uh like
(19:54):
a string on it, um, and it'slike say like a rock sailing
through the air at the gigantic.
Uh figure.
A scimitar sword?
Scimitar.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Sword.
And the handle is like gold andit's very much well like
crafted.
And he puts that and he goes,Very well.
And I put all my stuff on and Icarry the stuff because I'm
(20:19):
assuming he has a plan.
So I just grab that, his stuff, and bring it over to him.
Morpheus (20:26):
My character sees
this.
It's a great axe.
It's got a lot of etching.
It's a double, uh double-headedaxe, and so and it's got a
really long staff that it'sconnected to.
And it's you know, I got a lotof etching in it.
Um and when whenever he seesit, he it's kind of like that
thing that brings comfort, butalso there's a lot of reverence
(20:49):
towards.
And so he grabs it and it'skind of like, whew, you know,
Clap of this is okay.
Um and then Yeah, he sees he'sgot a scimitar in there also,
but it's not as flashy or fancyum as the other one, but it's uh
kind of a tried and true, youknow, that he grabs also.
Zard (21:09):
Yep.
Mr.
cobble, you uh uh do you have aplan?
Oh I grabbed your stuff foryou, good sir.
unknown (21:23):
Oh.
Cobble (21:23):
Thank you.
He goes back.
You just leave it.
Mimir (21:26):
I'm just gonna put it
down.
Zard (21:28):
Um, um I lick my finger
and I'm gonna see if there's any
wind coming from anywherespecifically.
Wylie (21:38):
Um why don't you give me
a nature check?
Mimir (21:41):
Can I argue for survival?
Wylie (21:44):
Nature.
Mimir (21:45):
Okay.
Dang it.
Uh that's a minus two.
Uh that's a nine.
Wylie (21:50):
Yeah, I mean, you're in a
cave, so there's usually not a
lot of airflow.
I was just wondering if therewas a general, yeah.
Um yeah, you could you couldlook around a little bit more
for the entrance.
Um you know, the rocks are alittle bit damp and slippery.
Yeah.
Um, so you feel like you'refairly deep, but yeah, there's
you can there's two directionsyou can head.
Mimir (22:09):
So cool.
Wylie (22:11):
Um I I think there well,
yeah, how's everybody's like
dark vision situation?
Morpheus (22:19):
I've got dark vision
up to 60 feet, but
Mimir (22:22):
I don't have dark vision.
Brad (22:24):
It's just tripping over
things.
Mimir (22:26):
Okay.
But I do have a torch in mybag.
i that I can light up.
Morpheus (22:33):
I think a rock gnome
would.
Kipo (22:35):
Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
Yeah.
Wylie (22:38):
And this cave is not
completely black dark.
There's cracks and fissures onwhat seem to be the roof of the
cavern that are letting in smallamounts of light, kind of
similar to the little graphicthat I've shared with you guys.
Um so that's a pretty big one.
But there's there's variouskind of holes or cracks in the
roof that are letting in somelight.
Okay.
Morpheus (22:58):
Um so with the two
directions, are they opposite of
each other or are they like, you know, we've got two tunnels,
right?
Wylie (23:06):
Yeah, pretty much, yeah,
you have a feeling that it's
you're in a big long tunnel thatyou can go one way or the
other.
unknown (23:11):
Okay.
Wylie (23:12):
It's not like a hugely
expansive, like big circular
cavern or anything.
It's kind of small.
Morpheus (23:18):
Hey guys, I feel like
we need to just pick a direction
and go and try to find our likeour way out of this cave.
Zard (23:25):
I I agree.
Kipo (23:26):
Cobble finding nothing
interesting, uh says.
Cobble (23:32):
Yeah, let's go find
something, uh let's let's go
somewhere else where there'smaybe some different rocks.
Zard (23:40):
I love that idea.
Morpheus (23:42):
So with which which
direction do we want to go?
Which which way do you guyswant to go?
Zard (23:46):
I let's you pick.
Morpheus (23:48):
Uh you know, we're
gonna go to the left.
Wylie (23:51):
Okay.
Okay, here, I'll tell you.
So the one way seems to go alittle bit up and one way seems
to go a little bit down.
Morpheus (23:58):
Uh the way that goes
up.
Wylie (24:00):
Okay, you choose even the
left.
Morpheus (24:02):
Yeah, which one's the
left.
Yeah, which one's the left?
Mimir (24:04):
He chose left.
Morpheus (24:07):
Made a decision
without knowing which way it's
like we're just going left.
Wylie (24:10):
Okay.
We run into a little bit.
Can you pick odds or evens forme?
Kipo (24:14):
Let's go odds.
Wylie (24:16):
Okay, and you're seeking
to get out of the cavern.
Kipo (24:18):
Cobble road sprint.
You're gonna sprint?
Would sprint.
Okay.
Zard (24:23):
Are you I'm gonna light up
a torch?
Wylie (24:26):
Okay.
As you light up a torch, youhear and you suddenly feel all
of these small things flyingpast you.
There's a swarm of bats.
Oh.
Roll for initiative.
Mimir (24:39):
Oh nice.
No, that's accurate.
No, that's accurate.
I got a 10.
19.
That's a natural one.
No, that's accurate.
That makes sense.
Zard (24:52):
Oh my goodness, birds
everywhere!
Kipo (24:58):
They're over top of us.
Yeah, they're no, I'm so short,but yeah.
Wylie (25:01):
Yeah, they probably
wouldn't be.
Um I think I picked the wrongdirection, guys.
Zard (25:08):
You said left.
Well, this didn't just happen.
Wylie (25:12):
This happened right after
he uh lit the torch.
So it seems like the smoke andstuff disturbed the bats.
The bats rolled at eight.
So what was our highestinitiative?
Kipo (25:22):
Nineteen.
Wylie (25:23):
Nineteen.
Okay, what do you do?
Kipo (25:26):
How many bats?
Like a good amount?
It's a whole swarm.
A whole swarm?
Yeah, he'd he probably wouldstop in his tracks and look up
at them and that's it.
Wylie (25:33):
Okay, not do anything.
No.
Okay.
Cool.
And what was our nextinitiative?
Morpheus (25:38):
I had uh 10.
Wylie (25:39):
10, you're next.
Morpheus (25:41):
Um we'll see.
Being a teenager, uh, he wouldprobably grab his axe and just
start swinging at the bats.
Okay.
Yep.
Ah! Oh gosh! Ah, oh no! It juststarts swinging.
Yeah.
Wylie (25:56):
You can roll the hit.
Mimir (25:58):
Alright.
You also have that d6inspiration if you want to use
it.
Let's see.
Hold on, where is it?
It's right there.
Morpheus (26:06):
Aha.
So I got a 12.
Mimir (26:08):
You can use the d6
inspiration if you don't think
it's gonna hit, but it's up toyou.
I'll say it.
Cobble (26:15):
You also have any attack
bonus for that?
Mimir (26:18):
Not for a great axe, not
as a druid.
Oh, that's that's right.
He's a druid, remember?
Yeah.
Wylie (26:24):
Um, so you rolled a 12.
A 12 hits the bats.
Yay! Yeah.
So go ahead and roll yourdamage.
Morpheus (26:32):
Uh-huh.
1D twelve.
Which one is the 12?
Is it the one is it the one?
Kipo (26:39):
Yeah.
Six.
Wylie (26:43):
Okay, awesome.
Um, and what type of damage isthis from the axe?
Is it slashing?
Kipo (26:48):
I think it's slashing.
Probably slashing.
Wylie (26:50):
Okay.
Kipo (26:50):
Yeah.
unknown (26:51):
Okay.
Kipo (26:51):
Unless you hit the bats
like on the side of the
non-legendation, just
Brad (27:01):
I actually just held it
up.
Mimir (27:02):
Yeah.
Just bat like death all over myface.
Bat death.
Kipo (27:14):
Oh man.
Wylie (27:15):
Okay.
Kipo (27:16):
I love I love these
characters already.
Yeah, they're amazing.
Mimir (27:19):
Work so well together.
Wylie (27:21):
Okay.
And we there's actually there'stechnically two swarms of bats
that are like for just likenumbers-wise and stuff.
So I'm going to put them kindof here and here on our little
map.
Okay, and it is now the bat'sturn.
Okay, so because um Morpheus isthe one who's doing the damage
(27:45):
to the first, they are gonna tryto bite you.
They didn't roll too well,eight.
Total of twelve to biteMorpheus.
unknown (27:54):
No.
Wylie (27:55):
Okay, so the swarm of
bats is swarming all around you.
You can feel little bits oftheir wings and stuff touching
you, but they aren't able toland a bite right now.
And the second swarm is gonnago.
And they try to bite cobble, but they only rolled a three for
a total of seven.
So does a seven hitcha?
(28:16):
Cobble?
Oh what?
Is it seven?
Mimir (28:20):
No.
Wylie (28:21):
Okay.
So the bats are just you feelthem all flurring around you
guys, but they're not hurtingyou yet.
And then I think it's uh Zard'sturn.
Mimir (28:30):
Cool.
Um, I am going to go, you shallnot be around this place
anymore.
Uh, and I'm gonna wave my uhfire that I have in my hands
towards and try to make like apath uh to move us out of the
bats' way and try to intimidatethem.
Okay, cool.
Uh should I roll anintimidation check?
(28:54):
Yeah.
Sweet.
It's a natural 19 for a 24.
Wylie (29:00):
Okay, cool.
You definitely shoe the oneswarm of bats that was near you
away.
So they were just disrupted bythe fire in the first place.
They didn't like it, they wantto get out.
Cool.
So they peace out, they'regone.
So we just have one swarm left.
Mimir (29:15):
Cool.
Uh, and then I want to move uhin front of cobble.
unknown (29:19):
Okay.
Wylie (29:19):
Move in front of cobble,
like to block him from the
swarm.
Yeah.
Cool.
Mimir (29:23):
Uh protect him.
Wylie (29:25):
Great.
Do you kind of like hunch overhim because you're so tall?
Mimir (29:28):
Like, I just I put my
hand basically over his entire
body.
Wylie (29:34):
Cool.
All right, and then we're backup to Cobble's turn.
Kipo (29:38):
Uh they haven't hit me at
all.
No, they just I'm facing, I'mahead of them.
Mimir (29:42):
Mm-hmm.
Kipo (29:43):
Right?
Mimir (29:43):
Yeah, currently.
I just moved in front of you.
Oh, you just moved in front ofyou to protect you from the
bats.
Kipo (29:48):
Oh, okay.
Uh, he's still gonna just keeplike sprinting the direction
that would be headed.
Wylie (29:54):
The hip hill direction
that you guys were headed.
Okay.
Kipo (29:56):
Okay, that would be my
movement and um a dash.
Okay, cool.
If we're in combat.
So, great, okay.
Wylie (30:04):
Yeah, you move really far
away.
Okay.
Kipo (30:06):
Oh, that way, okay.
Wylie (30:07):
Just a little.
Got it.
Morph you are up next.
Morpheus (30:14):
Okay, so the bats are
still attacking.
Wylie (30:17):
They're they're still
there, yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
They haven't lit landed anybites yet, but they're here.
Morpheus (30:22):
Okay.
Uh honestly, since he saw thatthat first one worked, he just
will keep swinging the axe.
Wylie (30:27):
Okay, great.
Okay.
Morpheus (30:30):
And so do I Yeah, go
ahead and roll an attack.
15.
You hit him.
Nice.
And then uh one, D12.
D12.
Another six.
Wylie (30:43):
Okay, and also slashing.
Morpheus (30:45):
Yes.
Wylie (30:46):
Okay.
Like when when you do this,it's a big swarm, and then you
notice like three bats fall outof it.
Ha ha!
Morpheus (30:56):
Yes! I'm killing it.
Zard (31:00):
We're doing so wow.
Wylie (31:03):
Okay, it's the bat's
turn.
Ooh, okay, 19.
Oh, no.
To get more.
Morpheus (31:10):
Oh yeah, they they hit
me.
Wylie (31:11):
They hit you.
Okay.
And they get to do 2d4.
A one and a two.
So a total of three piercingdamage.
Morpheus (31:25):
Let's see.
Three.
It's like, ow, ow, ow!
Wylie (31:33):
Alright, and then next up
is Zard.
Zard (31:36):
Yeah, I'll do the same
thing.
I'll be like, get away fromhim.
Do not.
Because I I mean these batswere just living here, so I
don't want to kill any bats thatare just friendly bats.
Um, and so I'll just be like, get away from him, creatures.
Uh and I'll put the like torcharound him.
Uh, and so I'll make anotherintimidation check and see if I
can frighten them off.
Natural 20.
Wylie (31:56):
Okay, they leave.
They are gone.
So the bats have left.
You've scared them all away.
There are six dead bats on theground.
Um, and and you guys are free.
So you can keep heading out ofthe tunnel.
Mimir (32:11):
Uh cobble's like
sprinting.
Yeah.
Zard (32:13):
And so I'm gonna be like,
I think it's time to catch up.
We just start running up.
Mimir (32:17):
And we're faster than him
because he's so small.
And so we'll we'll catch up tohim.
I guess we're sprinting, yeah.
Wylie (32:27):
All right, so you guys
are able to catch up to him.
Zard (32:31):
You guys are just walking.
Yeah, exactly.
In a hurry, my friend.
Wylie (32:37):
As you continue through
the cave, you start to hear a I
can't do the sound.
But insert drip of water.
Kipo (32:48):
Oh yeah.
Yeah, that's more of a pop.
It's that one, yeah.
There you go.
Mimir (32:54):
I can't do it.
Wylie (32:56):
So you hear the dripping
of water and you do see some
water dripping off of a the onefrom the ceiling.
The stalagite mic.
Kipo (33:02):
I think it's tight.
Tight tight.
Wylie (33:04):
Tight, tight, tight,
tight, tight, tight, the
stalagite is dripping into apool.
It's really dark, like in thecave and stuff, but you could
tell that it is a a liquid.
So um you you come upon that asyou're headed on your way out.
Mimir (33:18):
I'll put my arms on uh uh
uh cobble and I'll be like, uh
cobble.
Uh I'll be like, or one second,my friend.
Let's see if this water is uhdrinkable.
Um and I will uh put my tongueout and see if it I can taste,
if it's salty or anything likethat.
Wylie (33:33):
Okay, okay.
So I actually have here this isnot my drink.
This is a drink I've had inthis room ready for you to
taste.
Mimir (33:42):
Ooh, great.
It's been in here for weeks.
I'm gonna put a drop on mytongue.
I mean, why not?
Wylie (33:49):
If if you're gonna drink
random water that you find in a
cave or random liquid, then I'mgonna provide you with a random
liquid.
I'm gonna put a drip on my Mamir, Mimir doesn't know what
beverage I've given him.
He can't see it.
It's in a closed thermos, so hejust has to sip it and see.
Zard (34:08):
Yeah, that's not good.
Oh, that's really good.
Mimir (34:12):
Oh yeah.
I don't know.
Morpheus (34:14):
What does it taste
like?
Mimir (34:15):
Uh it's like bad coffee.
I'm the worst one to givecoffee because I don't drink
coffee.
Wylie (34:21):
It is only just iced
coffee.
I would not poison you.
So it is drinkable.
It's not poison.
Zard (34:31):
All right.
Wylie (34:32):
But you can each of your
characters can decide if you
would fill your your thermoseswith this.
Zard (34:42):
Uh I mean, just for right
now, we can fill it.
Morpheus (34:45):
Yeah, yeah.
Let's let's just fill it so wehave something here.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Wylie (34:52):
And I will kindly give
you your beverages afterwards.
Mimir (34:54):
Oh, thank you.
I need to wash out what youjust gave me.
Wylie (34:58):
So I felt bad for Mimir
Mimir (35:08):
There's gonna be a swoosh
in there, by the way, because
I'm so happy.
That's okay, Kippo.
Wylie (35:13):
So everyone, everyone now
has beverages again.
Right.
And it's up to you if youreally would like that uh iced
coffee flavored water from thecave or not.
Okay.
Um, so as you guys are movingalong, you ultimately do see
some light at the end of thetunnel.
Yeah.
Bringing you outside the cave.
(35:35):
And this is what it looks likeas you exit the cave.
Um as you get to the entranceof the cave, um, you see
beautiful plants and ferns, somemoss growing around the
entrance of the cave.
You see towering trees.
Um not necessarily like jungletrees, but you know, not palm
(35:57):
trees, um, but a lot more likeforesty type of trees.
And you see the beautifulsunlight filtering through.
Um, so it seems to be maybelate morning time as you get on
out into the forest.
Mimir (36:11):
I will make a note to
draw this later in my book.
Wylie (36:14):
Okay.
Mimir (36:15):
Uh and I will have a
chapter uh called The Cave
Explorers.
Wylie (36:20):
Mm-hmm.
The Cave Explorers.
Great.
Okay, so I'm gonna pull yourcharacters out here and put them
on this map.
How what how do your charactersrespond to seeing the forest?
Morpheus (36:32):
Let's say my character
is just like, oh he just feels
very at home now walking intothe forest.
Cobble (36:39):
How many rocks are
around me right now?
Wylie (36:42):
Well, at the entrance of
the cave, there are a lot of
rocks.
Yeah.
Kipo (36:45):
Are they different than
the rocks that
Wylie (36:46):
there's some bigger
boulders
Kipo (36:48):
Okay, perfect.
Yeah.
So uh Cobble will run up to oneof the boulders and uh just be
Oh look at you!
Cobble (36:59):
Look at you, big guy.
Kipo (37:01):
And he like hugs the rock.
Cobble (37:06):
Would you like uplifting
that he's like, no, no, no, he
said he's fine.
Oh, okay.
He said he's fine.
Zard (37:15):
Very well then.
I do want not want to disturbyour friends.
Brad (37:22):
He said he's fine.
Zard (37:24):
Making a note in my book.
Kipo (37:27):
Watch this one.
Yeah.
Keep an eye on this guy.
Wylie (37:32):
Uh so why doesn't
everybody give me a perception
check and I'll see what younotice besides just rocks?
Mimir (37:39):
Yeah.
Ooh, not bad.
I got a seven.
Ten.
Uh fourteen.
Wylie (37:46):
Seven, ten, and fourteen.
Um so Morpheus, you were justso happy to be in the woods and
you're like looking for somefamiliarity.
Um, you don't specificallyrecognize this woods, but it
does have a feel, like you said, that makes you very comfortable
um with the big, tall, toweringtrees.
Um I think uh let's see, Cobblewas next, right?
(38:12):
Next highest.
Kipo (38:16):
Yeah.
Wylie (38:17):
Ten.
Um and so you notice thatamongst the rocks, there's also
some bone fragments mixed inwith some of the rocks around
the entrance of this cave.
Okay.
Um and then Zard, you hear thecalls of birds and animals.
So you know that there aredefinitely some creatures out
(38:39):
here in this forest.
So that's something that youobserve.
Mimir (38:42):
Any uh I guess I don't
have memories, but do I have
like feelings of memories?
Does that make sense?
Like, can I uh call back tomaybe like know what birds are
around or anything like that?
Wylie (38:53):
Yeah, you'd probably have
to give me a very like more
specific nature check todetermine which birds, besides
from just um.
Mimir (38:58):
I mean, I'm not good with
nature.
Um, but oh, actually, I'm gonnado something that I'm good at,
not just that.
Um, I will do like check forany like other tracks besides
us.
Wylie (39:08):
Oh, yeah, that's a good
idea.
Mimir (39:09):
So I'll do a survival
check for that.
No joke.
Natural 20.
This is not this is so abnormalfor me.
It's this room.
I'm only playing DnD in thisroom.
Just for listeners at home, I'malways bad at uh uh like DnD,
like rolling.
I'm gonna use a different dicebecause I feel like this one's
(39:30):
cursed.
So in a good way.
In a good way.
I'm only using that forimportant roles.
Wylie (39:36):
Okay.
So um you observe that thereare actually a lot of tracks
around this area.
Um, because especially a cave,it provides shelter for
different animals, but also canbe dangerous for other animals,
like you just found the bones.
Um so you see tracks that looklike it's from a big cat.
Mimir (39:55):
Oh, okay.
Wylie (39:56):
Um, you also see tracks
that look like they're from
probably a very Large lizard ofsome kind.
And you see evidence ofspiders.
Very, very large spiders.
So you think that maybe if youspent a like with the Nat 20, if
you spent more time in thecaves, you would probably find
some spiders.
So you guys probably went theright direction.
Zard (40:17):
I'll be like, I'll clap
you on the back and I'll be
like, good call.
There was a lot of uh greatnasty nasty, nasty bugs that
way.
Morpheus (40:27):
Thanks, man.
Just glad to be outside again.
Mimir (40:31):
I will also uh take like
samples.
So I'll have like little papersuh in my backpack uh and I'll
take samples of like uh thefootprints and things like that.
Wylie (40:41):
Like you'll sketch some
of the what like to scale and
everything.
So some of the prints like takeup how like how big is your
journal?
You know?
Mimir (40:47):
Uh so my journal's like
uh the size of my waist.
Like it's a big book.
Okay, it's a big book.
Wylie (40:54):
Yeah.
So some of the the tracks takeup, you know, two of them would
take up a whole page.
There's some pretty big tracksaround here.
You realize there's some bigcreatures in these woods.
Zard (41:04):
I'll be like, all right,
everybody, let's not uh be too
loud.
We probably should be quiet.
Um and make sure that we uhdon't run into anything
unsavory.
Uh is there a specificdirection that they're going?
Wylie (41:20):
So you guys have just
exited the cavern.
Mimir (41:22):
Okay.
Wylie (41:23):
And this isn't a true
path that is there, but it can
kind of as you as players, itcan kind of give you direction.
So you don't wait, you don'tcome out and say, oh, clearly
somebody's been walking here allthe time.
This is uncharted, you know, woods, maybe some small paths,
some cure high check of whereanimals have come through, but
nothing that's regularly troddenthat's super clear.
(41:44):
Um, but it kind of gives youguys as characters a little bit
of an option.
Do you want to go basicallynorth or s or to the southeast?
Mimir (41:55):
Uh I'll look at um my
good friend over here.
Zard (41:58):
Uh will be like, Morpheus,
would you you pick the
direction that we go?
Morpheus (42:03):
Okay.
Let's go left.
Mimir (42:05):
Okay.
Sweet.
Uh seems to be the north.
Yeah, it's the left.
Cobble (42:11):
Uh Cobble wasn't really
paying attention to anything you
guys were saying as he wasmid-conversation.
So he all you hear him is uh asyou're kind of like wrapping up
or asking about the direction, you just hear okay, well you
take care now And he and hewalks away from that boulder.
(42:32):
And then and now it's a goodstory.
Zard (42:39):
I never knew that boulders
could talk, and that's on me.
Um I'll be like, well, great.
Um would you like to record?
And I have like spare journalsin my like uh backpack, and I'll
be like, would you like torecord the story that your
friend told you?
Cobble (42:58):
Oh no, I'm fine, thank
you.
Zard (43:00):
Oh, okay.
Morpheus (43:02):
I felt like Morpheus
and you're like, what is wrong
with these guys?
Zard (43:07):
Um so I think we we could
be a little quieter, I think.
Uh because of the giant cats, and we just head up north.
Giant Oh yeah, cats here, lookat these drawings I made.
And there's spiders too.
Cobble (43:23):
Oh yeah.
Wow.
Okay, where are we going?
Morpheus (43:30):
Going left.
Wylie (43:31):
So, oh, just so I can
keep track.
So everyone with the inventory, who picked up the folded piece
of paper?
Zard (43:38):
Um, I I probably would
have taken it because it's
paper.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's just extra strap uhbecause it was blank, right?
Wylie (43:43):
Yeah, it was a blank
folded piece of paper.
Mimir (43:45):
Yeah, so it's just extra
uh, you know, scrap paper that I
could draw on.
Wylie (43:48):
So do you tuck it into
your book to keep track of it?
Mimir (43:52):
Yeah, I'll put it in the
page where we found it because
it's like almost like a a storyitem paper covers with it.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Yeah, I don't want to talk, Idon't wanna don't even want to
show you papers.
Wylie (44:02):
So you like scrapbook
while you're writing your story
too.
So you find you know, you'rethe one that keeps like ticket
stubs and puts them in there anda junk journal.
Brad (44:11):
I feel like our characters
now are the embodiment of rock,
paper, scissors now.
Like cobble is rock.
Kipo (44:22):
This was unplanned.
Brad (44:24):
And then I'm just like,
you know, throw an axe at it.
It's on scissors.
Mimir (44:28):
Scissors.
Kipo (44:29):
Incredible.
Zard (44:31):
Should we find uh schnacks
to go uh and see if there's any
berries that are okay to eat?
Wylie (44:37):
Yeah, you guys can do uh
perception check or you you can
do perception or nature, whichever is better.
Zard (44:43):
Okay.
Uh I can help somebody with whohas uh better perception.
I can help somebody with that.
Brad (44:48):
I have I I'll go with uh
perception because that's better
for the nature.
Mimir (44:51):
All right, I will help
you with your perception check
then, so you get advantage.
unknown (44:55):
Oh my gosh.
Mimir (44:56):
It's okay.
You get a roll twice and takethe higher.
Oh okay, okay.
Cool.
Eleven.
Gotta go to two and we're bothlooking at a tree.
Morpheus (45:10):
I'm like, hmm, bark.
Wylie (45:13):
So you go to two was your
best roll.
Yeah, that's my best roll.
What did uh cobble get?
Cobble (45:17):
Eleven.
Wylie (45:18):
Eleven.
Okay.
Um let's see.
Morpheus (45:23):
Oh, I guess
technically that was uh wait,
two plus five.
Sorry.
So seven.
So seven.
Wylie (45:30):
Seven and eleven.
Seven.
Brad (45:33):
The infinite gulp.
Wylie (45:36):
That's a reference to our
one-off, everybody.
You don't find aninfinite gulp, unfortunately.
Imagine them.
You guys can make so much applejuice.
Um so uh cobble does find somebushes that did have berries on
them.
He could tell that they've beenpicked off.
(45:57):
So you haven't found berriesyet.
Did have yeah, you haven'tfound berries yet, but you have
identified a type of bush thatgrows berries.
So you will have an advantagenext time you try to find
berries.
Okay.
And so we decided to go northish.
And who's leading the way?
Mimir (46:13):
I would be just close
behind.
Okay.
I'll be in the middle, uhkeeping my eye on uh uh cobble
also because he seems to beexcitable.
And so I just want him to beprotected on here.
Wylie (46:26):
All right, so we move on.
Mimir (46:28):
Uh and I don't have my
torch anymore.
I'll put it out.
Okay.
Uh put it and put it away.
Wylie (46:32):
Okay.
And alright.
And are you guys like trying tobe cautious and carefully just
having a nice We're stealthy.
We're stealthy.
Okay.
So he seemed like he was prettyeager to go ahead.
So you might want to letMorpheus know that you're
stealthy.
Mimir (46:45):
Oh yeah, I mentioned uh I
mentioned it, but I'll mention
it and be like, remember,stealthy.
Stealthy.
Okay.
Morpheus (46:50):
Alright?
Okay.
Cool.
He's pretty light on his feet, other than maybe the big axe
claiming.
Right.
Yeah.
Do I need a roll?
Oh, rolling.
Wylie (47:00):
Yeah, yeah, why don't you
all give me a stealth check?
Mimir (47:04):
Not great at stealth.
Morpheus (47:08):
I got a nine for
stealth.
18.
I got a 12.
Wylie (47:11):
Okay, okay.
Pretty good.
It's pretty stealthy.
So you are the loudest one infront.
Morpheus (47:18):
I think I'm being
stealthy, but the the axe just
keeps clanging, you know.
Just king.
Just hold it still on yourback.
Wylie (47:26):
Since we moved into a new
area of the map, can you each
give me a perception check?
Zard (47:30):
Yeah.
Mimir (47:36):
My goodness.
Oh, I should go back to thedice.
I'm not doing six.
I got a seven.
I got a five.
Zard (47:49):
We're doing really good.
We're walking so well.
Wylie (47:53):
But you have an advantage
if you're looking for berries.
Mimir (47:57):
Do you want to look for
berries also?
That was a perception?
Wylie (47:59):
Mm-hmm.
Mimir (48:00):
Okay.
Yes.
Twelve.
Wylie (48:06):
Twelve.
Okay, same thing.
You see some bushes that haveberries pulled off.
But yeah.
So at least you're you're kindof getting familiar with that.
So you will still haveadvantage next time you're
specifically looking forberries.
Um, okay, so you guys are okay.
So you guys are moving alongthrough the woods.
(48:26):
Um and you do hear some loud, like not really close to you,
but it sounds like loud rustlingthat's maybe a little bit
further away.
Zard (48:39):
That's not good.
Um we we just keep moving andbe quiet, right, guys?
Kipo (48:49):
We're all being really
good.
Yeah, that wouldn't shake.
That wouldn't shake me.
Yeah, yeah.
Just keep moving.
Yeah.
Nature.
Mimir (48:55):
Nature being nature.
Nature.
Wylie (48:57):
Okay, so you guys are
kind of walking along the most
sort of obvious, like seems tobe normal path.
There's a slight clearing offto your left, which you can
investigate or not.
It's up to you.
Zard (49:09):
You do enjoy like going
left.
Morpheus (49:12):
Yes, and uh, I would
say uh just with like looking
for food, I would I wouldprobably say we go investigate.
Being curious.
Hey guys, let's let's just takea left right here to this
little open field and see whatwe can find.
Zard (49:25):
Cool.
I love that idea.
Wylie (49:26):
Yeah, so you find this
little bit open space in the
woods, and everybody give me aninvestigation check.
Cool.
unknown (49:32):
Coolie oh
investigation.
Where'd you go?
Morpheus (49:40):
Oh, I got so bad at
investigation.
I got an 18.
Cobble (49:44):
18.
Non-natural 20.
Wylie (49:46):
Non-natural 20.
Zard (49:47):
I rolled an 18, but I have
a 16.
My intelligence is minus two.
Wylie (49:58):
So, Morpheus, you spot a
nest on the ground full of large
eggs.
I'd say about the size ofostrich eggs.
Um, you don't necessarily havea reference for an ostrich, but
that's you know, how big theyare.
And um, Cobble, you notice someof the large lizard tracks.
(50:19):
The same ones that um Zardshowed you in his book are
around this nest.
And Zard, you don't noticeanything.
Kipo (50:31):
I'm like, Cobble looks up
in the trees.
Wylie (50:33):
He looks up in the trees.
Okay, are you investigating upin the trees or just like
looking around?
Okay.
Um, you don't see anythingimmediately above you.
Morpheus (50:40):
Okay.
Um Morpheus, you'd be like, ohhey guys, check out these eggs.
Zard (50:45):
Oh, those are
Morpheus (50:46):
we should eat them.
Zard (50:47):
Oh, I don't know.
That's uh what if somebody cameinto your house and ate your
kids?
Well have you thought aboutthat?
Morpheus (50:56):
I don't think I have
any kids.
Zard (50:58):
Uh but would that be bad?
Just think about that realquick.
Just think about it.
See?
Not okay.
Not okay.
Right?
Oh, that's all I'm saying.
Is it's not okay.
Morpheus (51:14):
Yeah, but we need
food.
Like we have no food right now.
Zard (51:17):
I'm doing okay right now.
Morpheus (51:19):
I'm starving.
His metabolism is just likethrough the root, and he's just
like, I'm so hungry.
Zard (51:26):
We have eggs at home.
Morpheus (51:31):
Okay, mom.
Zard (51:34):
Um, we could eat eggs.
Cobble, do you know how to cookegg?
Cobble (51:40):
No.
Zard (51:41):
Alright.
Kipo (51:43):
Still looking around.
Wylie (51:44):
Just you're on high
alert.
Kipo (51:47):
Yeah, not like panicky,
but just being just
Zard (51:52):
Do you want to get up
there?
I could toss you up there.
Cobble (51:54):
No thanks.
Zard (51:55):
Okay.
Hey, I'm here to help.
Um, I I'd be like, I think Ithink we're we're okay for right
now.
Maybe we found some he a couplefound some berry bushes and
they've all been carrying it,but I'm always stressed about
eating somebody else's kids.
That's really where I'm at inthis situation.
Morpheus (52:15):
Oh, okay.
Gotcha, got you.
Zard (52:17):
Yeah.
All right.
You can though if you want to.
I'm not gonna judge you for it.
Morpheus (52:20):
Oh, okay.
So you you don't mind if I takean egg?
No, I don't mind at all.
Okay, okay.
I'll I'll take an egg.
Wylie (52:25):
Okay, you take an egg.
Morpheus (52:27):
Yep.
Wylie (52:27):
Okay.
And will you are you gonnastart eating it?
Morpheus (52:31):
No, I'm just gonna
pack it.
I I think just like with thenoises that we heard and
everything, I would probably bea little bit on alert, but like,
all right, let's take some andtake it to go.
You know, teens uh eat alltheir food to go, you know.
Wylie (52:45):
Yeah, they go.
All right, so you just you'veslipped it into your bag.
Morpheus (52:49):
Right, right.
Okay.
It's probably a terribledecision.
Zard (52:52):
We could also, you know,
if you don't eat it, if we find
berries, we could raise it.
Morpheus (52:57):
And we could have I
can I can now it's like wow, I
could now have a child.
Zard (53:03):
But now exactly.
And if somebody ate that, itwould be bad.
But you're also like kidnappingtoo, which is not anyway.
Let's get going.
Wylie (53:15):
You guys are so desperate
for a pet.
You want another Jerry, so bad.
Okay, so you guys pocket theegg and give me another stealth
check as you move away.
Yeah.
Mimir (53:28):
All right, let's try it
again.
Ooh.
22.
Non-natural 20.
Whoa.
Ten.
Wylie (53:36):
As a group Check, okay.
So I'm gonna say that Morpheuskind of stumbles, but you catch
Zard catches him.
Don't you worry there.
He almost drops the egg.
Zard (53:46):
Let me carry the egg for
you.
It's pretty big.
I mean, you're strong.
Yeah, you're good.
Wylie (53:53):
Not trying to insult him.
Zard (53:54):
Yeah, yeah.
Wylie (53:55):
So you guys are able to
move away.
As you're leaving, you do hearmore of that deep rustling in
the woods, but you are able toleave the clearing without
incident.
And as you continue on north askind of the only path available
at this time, um, you don't itthe sounds get further and
further away, so you're okay.
Mimir (54:15):
Cool.
Wylie (54:16):
Alright.
So you guys keep moving alongthe path-ish area, the the
moving along through the forest.
Kipo (54:23):
Okay.
I'll probably look for berriesagain.
Okay.
Mimir (54:25):
Um, he has advantage, but
yeah.
10.
Morpheus (54:30):
10.
I would also be looking forberries.
unknown (54:32):
Okay.
Cool.
Nice.
Kipo (54:35):
What's this perception?
Wylie (54:36):
Uh perception or nature.
I'll let you either.
Cobble (54:38):
Yeah, 11 and 11 then.
Morpheus (54:40):
21 for me.
Wylie (54:42):
21.
16 for me.
Okay.
Um, Morpheus, find someberries.
Morpheus (54:47):
Yes.
Wylie (54:49):
Oh no.
Morpheus (54:52):
I was excited to let
solve that.
Mimir (54:54):
I'm curious if we ate the
egg, what would you give us?
The egg.
That's what I'm curious.
Do you have a raw egg backthere?
Wylie (55:02):
I would take the raw egg,
I would smash it on some bread,
I rather.
Brad (55:07):
Just be like Rocky, you
know, just drinking uh raw egg.
Wylie (55:11):
No, but you you get to
try that.
Morpheus (55:13):
Do I just have to
reach in and reach on and grab
it?
Like you would look in or can Ilook in?
Wylie (55:18):
You can look in, take it
in.
Brad (55:21):
Oh, I don't know what this
is.
Wylie (55:24):
You want to describe what
they look like?
Morpheus (55:26):
They're white, but
they have like little brown
squares X in.
They smell good.
Mimir (55:36):
They're poison berries.
You're poison.
We're calling 911 as we eat.
Morpheus (55:44):
It's like a white
chocolate and raspberry?
Wylie (55:47):
Kind of.
Yeah.
They're these um things calledyogi bites.
So uh not a sponsor, but couldbe.
If someone wants to send ussnacks for our sessions, we will
feature the snacks.
They're pretty good.
I actually really like yogibites.
They're actually um also inthese uh trail mix packets, so
you guys might have alreadyeaten some.
Kipo (56:05):
Oh, that's funny.
Wylie (56:07):
So you guys now have
berries.
Um, you found some.
Are you gonna spend timepicking a lot of them or are you
just gonna grab it?
Mimir (56:15):
I think we can we're not
in a rush to go anywhere.
Yeah, yeah.
If we need food, yeah.
Yeah, we'll pick up quite abit.
Wylie (56:21):
Okay.
Um, so you guys can have yoursnacks back.
Yay!
Morpheus (56:26):
It's like the sole
purpose of looking for stuff.
Like, I gotta find something toeat because I need my snacks.
Wylie (56:30):
Do anybody want some of
the yoke nice?
I knew that we keep you guys ontask.
Morpheus (56:34):
Yes.
We would still be on task, Iswear.
Wylie (56:37):
Okay, so I think this
one's a mirror's food.
I think that I think the bigbowl of the green one was here.
unknown (56:43):
Gaz up there.
Wylie (56:45):
Cheez-its.
unknown (56:47):
Yes.
Mimir (56:49):
Mm-hmm.
Wylie (56:50):
Sour patch kids.
Mimir (56:52):
Alright, now we can go
and kill some people.
I'm loaded now.
Wylie (56:58):
And whatever those ones
are.
Our snack spread includesOreos, Cheez-Its, Sour Patch
Kits, Trail Mix
Mimir (57:06):
We should get sponsored
by a snack company.
Wylie (57:09):
Snack companies, please
sponsor them.
Brad (57:10):
Little Little Debbie,
please.
Please, little Debbie, make therest of my life.
Like, oh.
Especially like for likeChristmas time.
They can do the Christmastrees.
Oh my gosh.
Those are my favorite.
Zard (57:26):
These are great berries.
Mimir (57:31):
Um, cool.
Wylie (57:32):
Okay.
Great.
So you guys um spend let's say30 minutes collecting a fair
amount of berries, stockingyourselves up.
Morpheus (57:40):
Would that be a short
rest?
Wylie (57:42):
Um well, are you actively
collecting berries or are you
just chilling?
Morpheus (57:47):
Uh oh, that's a good
question.
No, he would probably belooking for berries.
So okay, that's fine.
Wylie (57:53):
Yeah.
Alright.
Um, so you guys can move on andgive me one more stealth track
and one more uh perceptiontrack.
Morpheus (58:07):
Okay, so stealth.
Ooh.
So I got an 18 for stealth.
Wylie (58:12):
Nice.
Alright, you you're so you'rejust looking at the berries in
your hand.
You're thinking about.
Morpheus (58:24):
I'm so quiet this
time.
I'm so focused on being quietthat I have no idea what's
around.
Kipo (58:29):
Uh nine stealth, and I got
a nineteen for perception.
Okay, great.
Zard (58:36):
Seven and five.
It's not good out here.
Uh but I got my snacks back.
He got some food, and he's justlike, this is a great berry.
He just keeps yelling it outloud.
Wylie (58:48):
Oh, so good.
Oh, we were scoping, that'sright.
Mimir (58:58):
You see a capital tasty
written all out in his book.
Wylie (59:03):
Joe has a picture of the
berries to remember for next
time.
Um so Kobble, you hear thesound of a creek or a brook up
ahead.
Um, so you know if you kind ofif you continue in this kind of
general direction and then heada bit south, you'll probably
find a creek and some real freshwater, not that kind of stake
(59:24):
stagnant cave water that youguys scooped up before.
Okay.
Um, so as you guys are movingforward though, you hear a loud
rumbling coming in the bushesbehind you.
Do you hide, stop and look, run?
Zard (59:40):
We should fight this time.
I'm gonna pull up my sword andI'm gonna be like shut up my
sword and get ready for whatevercomes.
Wylie (59:48):
Okay, so you are
currently kind of in the middle.
Would you step to the back ofthe group where the sound is
coming from?
Zard (59:53):
I'm gonna step in front of
cobble.
Okay, you are in front ofcobble.
Wylie (59:56):
Okay.
So cobble and then Morpheus isright next to you.
Mimir (01:00:00):
Smallest one.
I would be ready to find it.
You haven't shown any likecapability.
Nothing.
Absolutely.
You have a war hammer, but I'mlike that's just for rocks.
Yeah.
And he has a great axe, so I'mlike.
Kipo (01:00:11):
Okay.
Oh uh he made it known to theparty that he hears water.
Wylie (01:00:14):
Okay, water ahead.
Good.
Okay.
Um, so you hear this kind ofthrashing coming through the
bushes.
And then um out on the pathkind of behind you, you see
this.
Mimir (01:00:29):
Oh, that's a dinosaur.
Wylie (01:00:33):
So you guys see uh it's a
dinosaur.
It looks kind of like a it sortof looks like a velociraptor,
but it has four legs that itwalks on.
So um, and it has a head sortof like a velociraptor, it has
very sharp teeth, and it hasthis cool kind of like crest
along its back.
Um, and this type of dinosaur,if I remember the name right,
(01:00:58):
let's get it right for thedinosaur nerds.
It's a Dimetrodon.
So this is a Dimetrodon.
So it bursts through the bushesbehind you.
Everybody roll for initiative.
Zard (01:01:10):
Oh, cool.
Cool, cool, cool, cool.
All my spells are for people,so that's great.
Wylie (01:01:17):
You have like hold
person.
Mimir (01:01:19):
Uh-huh.
I do have hold person andcrowned madness.
Which would work, but that's agroup thing.
Morpheus (01:01:24):
I got a 22.
Wylie (01:01:26):
Nice.
Zard (01:01:28):
Five.
Five.
I'm bad I didn't issue theeither.
Cobble (01:01:33):
What'd you get?
Oh, I'm sorry.
Uh 16.
Wylie (01:01:37):
Okay.
So first up is gonna beMorpheus, then cobble.
Um, what is your dex?
Mimir (01:01:45):
Uh um, you know.
Wylie (01:01:50):
Oh, it's a plus two.
Great.
15.
Okay, you get to go before thedinosaur.
Mimir (01:01:54):
Cool.
You guys are slowly learning mystat plot.
I have a seven in intelligence.
15 dex.
Wylie (01:02:04):
Alright, so there is a
dinosaur that is burst through
the bushes and is lookingtowards you.
You're up first.
Morpheus (01:02:12):
Honestly, I there's a
part of me that thinks he'd be
like, oh, here, you could haveyour egg back.
Wylie (01:02:18):
I was thinking literally
would if you think you do that,
you can do that.
Morpheus (01:02:22):
Okay, then I would.
I'm trying to decide what hewould do.
As a teenager, I feel like hewould just toss the egg to you.
Like, just like, uh, here yougo.
Toss it to the dinosaur
Wylie (01:02:41):
so you pull out the egg
and you toss it.
Yep.
Okay, so let's do luck check tosee if it breaks or not.
Um so odds are evens, and I'llroll.
Let's go odds.
Odds.
Hey, you were lucky last time.
Odds what was that?
Odds.
So you were able to pull thisegg out and kind of gently like
(01:03:03):
grandma bowling roll it, likemaybe even kind of between your
legs, like kind of just jumping.
Yeah, just roll it on down.
And it just it, you know, theirdinosaur eggs are not as thin
as just a regular old chickenegg, so it rolls down the path
to the dinosaur.
Um, you can roll persuasionwith advantage to see if you
(01:03:25):
convince this dinosaur.
Mimir (01:03:26):
My bardic Inspiration.
That's right.
I'll be right out.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because I feel like you'redoing this because I've, you
know, chewed you out a littlebit.
Morpheus (01:03:33):
So all right, so I got
an eight, but then plus plus
oh, you said advantage.
Advantage, so roll again.
Wylie (01:03:40):
Because you gave back the
egg.
Morpheus (01:03:43):
18 plus one is 19.
Give that d6.
And then I'll be.
Mimir (01:03:48):
We could maybe adopt it.
Since it's the regular die.
Brad (01:03:52):
Yeah, that's right.
I always forget the D6 isregular.
We own this dinosaur.
Plus one.
There you go.
So that's in all 20.
Wylie (01:03:58):
A dirty 20.
That's great.
Okay, so the dinosaur goesstomp, stomp st and is is
looking towards you.
Her eyes are focused on you,and she lowers her head and she
sniffs the egg that's now infront of her.
And it seems like the egg isunharmed.
So she doesn't break eyecontact with you.
She still looks at you as shekind of gently scoops up the egg
(01:04:22):
in her mouth and backs away, still glaring at you, but backs
away down the path, taking heregg back to its nest.
Mimir (01:04:31):
There's a little bit of
Mamir in here where I really
just wanted to have a dinosauras a pet.
Kill it still.
No, okay.
Morpheus (01:04:40):
Well, remind me of
your character's name again.
Zard.
Zard.
Zard.
Okay.
Take those notes.
And yeah, I should have.
Yeah.
I think at that point he wouldprobably try to be like, Zard,
you were totally right, dude.
I'm so sorry.
I should have listened.
Zard (01:04:55):
I'm so proud of you.
You've done such a great job.
Hey.
And you didn't instinctively gofor your axe.
That's great.
You're doing fantastic.
I'm thirsty.
Let's grab some water, huh?
Wylie (01:05:08):
Alright.
So you guys can follow Cobbleover to the creek.
Um walk into the creek.
And you guys are able to fillup all of your water jugs.
Morpheus (01:05:24):
Perfect.
Wylie (01:05:25):
You now have food.
You now have fresh water.
What is your character'spriorities?
Morpheus (01:05:31):
Who am I?
Cobble (01:05:33):
What do you think?
You are.
Are there any rocks in thewithin the other room?
Wylie (01:05:39):
Roll for rocks.
Roll for rocks.
Mimir (01:05:41):
Roll for rocks.
I'll be a common one.
Kipo (01:05:45):
Just a uh regular D20?
Wylie (01:05:48):
Yeah, just roll right.
13.
Alright.
You find 13 great lookingpebbles.
They're they're pretty regularriver rocks, nothing like
significant colors.
Kipo (01:05:57):
It doesn't matter to him.
Wylie (01:05:59):
There's some real nice
smooth ones, you know, that have
been preoccupied.
Cobble (01:06:02):
Nothing around him
matters while he's uh examining
these pebbles.
Zard (01:06:08):
Do you uh remember
anything from before?
Uh I'm only looking at him goat uh Morpheus, because I'm
like, you remember anythingbefore?
Yup.
Morpheus (01:06:20):
Zard, I I don't I
don't remember anything, man.
Uh I I don't know.
I'm just trying to figure outwho I am.
I I don't remember anything.
Zard (01:06:29):
Interesting.
Well I have an inclininclination that I write down
all my stories, but um and I'mlike I look through my book and
I I probably can't find anythingand it's hard to tell because I
don't like put my name ever inthe stories because that would,
you know, not be as fancy if Idid.
Wylie (01:06:50):
Right.
Mimir (01:06:50):
So I'm like, I I just
have a bunch of different
stories of individuals.
I don't think I've done allthese things, but well, the
river's flowing down, correct?
Wylie (01:07:05):
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, it's flowing uh from thenorth to the south.
Mimir (01:07:09):
Correct.
Oh, maybe we could go to like acoastal area going down, or we
could go up to maybe a mountainwhere it's flowing from.
Zard (01:07:19):
I'm more mountain-based,
but I don't know about you guys.
Oh, he's talking to rocksagain.
Cobble (01:07:24):
Yeah, yeah, Cobble's
whispering to them as the
pebbles are in his hands.
Wylie (01:07:30):
So you two are kind of
sitting by the by the edge of
the creek, maybe putting yourfeet in and chatting, and and
then Cobble's just hunched overlike a golem.
Morpheus (01:07:40):
Just like, what is
wrong with this guy?
He's talking with rocks.
Zard (01:07:43):
You can't judge other
people, alright?
Cobble (01:07:46):
Excuse me.
Zard (01:07:48):
Mr.
Cobble, any the uh informationfrom those friends of yours.
Cobble (01:07:54):
Oh what was that?
Zard (01:07:57):
Any uh information of
anybody that has passed by from
your rock friends.
Cobble (01:08:03):
Oh, let me ask.
Zard (01:08:04):
Okay.
Mimir (01:08:10):
Don't look at the DM like
the DM's gonna tell you
anything from those rocks.
I didn't look over at the DM.
Yeah, you better not.
I'm just kidding.
Kipo (01:08:18):
I mean, unless you need me
to, but
Wylie (01:08:20):
do you have a spell
called Talk to Rocks?
Cobble (01:08:21):
No.
Mimir (01:08:23):
No! No, I didn't think
this was gonna come up.
Wylie (01:08:28):
No, I don't think you
Cobble (01:08:30):
No, you um He he'll turn
back at you.
Zard (01:08:36):
Uh nope, nope, they
haven't seen anything.
Oh, all right.
Well, good information.
Morpheus (01:08:43):
Probably because they
don't have eyes.
Zard (01:08:45):
Hey, we can't judge.
You know, the egg didn't haveeyes, but it was it wasn't
important.
Morpheus (01:08:54):
Well, our survival,
yes.
Wylie (01:08:56):
It was somebody's child.
Zard (01:08:58):
It was somebody's I only
have one eye, remember?
Have I lost the other one?
Would I be less significant?
No.
Morpheus (01:09:07):
But I wouldn't ask you
if you've seen anything.
Zard (01:09:11):
Y ou do have a good one.
Kipo (01:09:14):
Um cool.
Wylie (01:09:15):
Um Cobble, as you're
looking at the ground a lot,
give me a perception check.
Cobble (01:09:19):
Eleven.
Wylie (01:09:20):
Eleven.
Um you're looking right at theground, so you do see footprints
that are people footprints.
These are humanoid.
Cobble (01:09:27):
The rocks lie in Rome.
They're not in Okay.
So he gets if he if I see thosefootprints, he'll get angry at
the rocks and he throws themback into the wall into the
river.
Wylie (01:09:41):
What does he say as he
throws them back in the river?
Cobble (01:09:43):
Nothing.
Just like a hump.
Liars.
Zard (01:09:47):
Is everything okay there,
Cobble?
Cobble (01:09:49):
There's footprints here.
Zard (01:09:50):
Oh, your rocks lard.
Uh and I will attack one of therocks.
Cobble (01:09:57):
One of the ones that I
threw.
Zard (01:09:58):
One of the ones that you
threw.
Wylie (01:10:00):
So do you just raise your
scimitar up and you just stab
them straight down into theriver?
Okay.
roll to attack rocks.
Zard (01:10:09):
Naturaly one.
I slip and fall into a cracker.
Oh, good, you rock.
Wylie (01:10:14):
And then I'm you slip on
the wet, slippery rocks, so they
have their vengeance.
Morpheus (01:10:18):
Morpheus is like, what
is happening?
Zard (01:10:21):
T hat's my tailbone.
Oh goodness.
Well, where do these footprintsgrow, I guess?
Wylie (01:10:28):
You could follow the
footprints.
Zard (01:10:31):
Yep.
Oh, my back.
Morpheus (01:10:33):
Morpheus just takes
off for the foot, wherever the
footprints are.
Wylie (01:10:36):
You're tracking the
footprints.
What is your best trackingskill?
Investigations, um, nature,perception.
Morpheus (01:10:43):
Perception.
Wylie (01:10:44):
All right, you go ahead
and you can survive perception
check to follow, to see makesure you can follow those check.
Morpheus (01:10:49):
So you guys survival.
Cool.
Zard (01:10:51):
I'll I'll give him uh
advantage if that's okay.
Yep.
Uh that help.
Morpheus (01:10:55):
Seventeen.
Oh, okay.
At first I thought it was justa seven.
Mimir (01:10:58):
I was like roll again and
take the higher.
You might get a natural 20 orsomething.
Do I have advantage?
Yep.
Okay, yep.
I'm always helping out.
Nope.
Loves advantage.
Giving people advantage.
17 plus five.
Wylie (01:11:10):
All right.
Um, you are able to followthese tracks through the woods.
So you guys cross over thecreek.
Mimir (01:11:17):
Cool.
Wylie (01:11:18):
Um, and on the other side
of the creek, you're able to
follow them.
And they eventually lead you toa dirt road.
A this is clearly a road now.
Okay.
Um and it's has um tracks init, like wagon wheel kind of
tracks.
Um and it kind of again kind ofgoes north to south, like the
(01:11:40):
creek did.
Um so and there's footprintsgoing every direction.
Um it there might be a littlebit more traffic headed north
than south.
Okay.
Based on the footprints.
Morpheus (01:11:52):
You guys want to go
left?
Zard (01:11:54):
Yes, north?
Morpheus (01:11:55):
Sure, left.
Okay, awesome.
Zard (01:11:57):
I love that idea.
Cobble, how are you doing backthere?
You doing good?
Cobble (01:12:02):
Y ep.
Sounds good.
Morpheus (01:12:04):
Actually, every time
that Morpheus is talking about
left and right, he always doesuh the two L's up to tell which
way is left.
Do you know which one is left?
He's not sure.
Cool, cool.
He just is like, kind of justtakes a step and like, I think
this is it.
Zard (01:12:19):
Secretly behind my back, I
also do the same thing.
Uh, because I have a sevenintelligence.
Wylie (01:12:25):
So I'm like, and you try
to look at your own hands behind
your back.
Zard (01:12:30):
And I'm like, okay, yep.
All right, north it is.
For some reason I know northand south, though.
Yeah, yeah.
It's built into my being.
Wylie (01:12:40):
Based on the sun.
Mimir (01:12:41):
Yep, exactly.
Wylie (01:12:42):
Great.
Um, so you guys came out of thecave about late morning when
you were at the creek.
It was around lunch time-ish.
And since you guys were sittingthere for a bit, if you wanted
to take a short rest, you can.
Morpheus (01:12:55):
Sure.
Yeah, that'd be awesome.
What do you do for um likehealth?
Wylie (01:12:59):
Yeah, so you have these
hit dice.
If we find on how many hit dicedo you have?
Morpheus (01:13:08):
3d8.
Wylie (01:13:09):
3d8.
So you can roll one d8 and seehow much it regenerates, and
then you can still have yourother two.
Mimir (01:13:14):
Plus your constitution,
yeah.
Wylie (01:13:16):
Yeah, plus your
constitution.
Morpheus (01:13:19):
This is also good for
you, Lori.
Six plus two.
So you heal for that much.
But I my my top, I think, istwenty-four.
Right, so you'll just max outagain.
I just go back to twenty-four.
Yeah.
Wylie (01:13:31):
And then just note that
you only have two hit dice left
for any other short rest thatyou take until until you take a
long rest.
Morpheus (01:13:37):
Until I take a long
dice.
Wylie (01:13:38):
So you used one hit dice,
you have two more left.
So, or health dice.
Um next time you rest, and thenwhen you take a long rest,
you'll get all three back.
So you want to keep track ofhow many you have total.
I got you now.
Yeah.
Okay.
So you guys are walking on theroad and um you're out on this
(01:14:02):
dirt path.
There's trees on both sidesbecause it is going through the
forest.
Um, you're following along, andthen you start to hear a
rumbling sound behind you.
Mimir (01:14:12):
Oh, I would like to hop
off of the road.
Yeah, we'll I'll move off theroad.
unknown (01:14:16):
Okay.
Wylie (01:14:17):
Are you guys just off to
the side or you'd like to hide
behind a button?
Hide behind a bush.
Roll for self.
Mimir (01:14:21):
Oh, I'm I'm gonna just
I'm not hiding.
Yeah, I think it's just athing.
Cobble (01:14:25):
Non-natural 20.
Mimir (01:14:26):
Yeah.
Wylie (01:14:27):
Okay, you are well
hidden.
Heck yeah, yeah.
Morpheus (01:14:29):
Anyone else hiding or
I think it's just a card.
I probably would just be like,I'm just gonna do whatever uh
big man over here.
Big man's doing Whateve Zard'sdoing.
Wylie (01:14:42):
So I imagine like you
maybe you have your the your axe
standing on the ground and youkind of rest your hands on top
of the double head and you'rejust sort of standing there with
your axe on the side of theroad.
Morpheus (01:14:51):
Yep.
Wylie (01:14:51):
Just waiting.
Um, and so as the sound getscloser and closer, you can tell
that it's two carts or wagonsand it's loud though.
Like they are moving fast.
Zard (01:15:02):
Cool.
I'll be waving.
I'll be like Okay.
Hello there, friends.
Uh, I'll be yelling that beforeI even say that.
Okay.
Or see them.
Wylie (01:15:10):
Okay.
Zard (01:15:11):
Um because I know that
they're hauling.
Wylie (01:15:13):
So they are just zooming
down this path.
And um, the driver of the firstone that you see looks really
intense and is very, very, veryfocused.
He completely ignores you, justgoing, going, going, and the
other one is coming up closebehind, and you hear some whoops
and some hollers from the onethat's following, and they just
go flying right past you andthey don't stop at all.
Zard (01:15:36):
Um, interesting.
Um, I will cast message as theypass, and I'll be like, one
second, friend.
I uh need I'm in need ofassistance.
Please help me out.
unknown (01:15:49):
Okay.
Wylie (01:15:50):
Um, please roll
persuasion with disadvantage.
And are you rolling it at thefirst wagon or the second?
Mimir (01:15:55):
Uh let's do uh the the
first one because if I get them
to saw uh uh stop, then I'll befine.
Alright, here we go.
That's such a that's a me roll.
Uh that's a natural one.
Wylie (01:16:10):
And that's this is a
disadvantage roll.
Zard (01:16:11):
So natural one and a 17.
Yeah, but it was natural one.
Wylie (01:16:15):
Yeah, yeah.
They don't stop, they just flyright past you.
Zard (01:16:18):
Well, I guess they're in a
hurry.
Um can I try it on the otherone or no?
It's just too fast.
Wylie (01:16:27):
I think it would be
happening too fast, but then
Cobble (01:16:28):
Can i get some berries
while I'm in this bush.
Wylie (01:16:29):
Yeah, you can look for
berries.
Sure.
Kipo (01:16:34):
Fourteen.
Wylie (01:16:35):
Fourteen, roll for
berries.
You can roll a D20 and see howmany berries you find.
Kipo (01:16:41):
Nine.
Wylie (01:16:42):
Nine, you find nine
berries.
Mimir (01:16:43):
Does Kippo need more
berries?
That's good.
Wylie (01:16:46):
Does Kippo want some yogi
bites?
Cobble (01:16:48):
I mean, Cobble just
figured as they pass by, and
then he realized where he was inthe bush.
Mimir (01:16:54):
Oh.
Kipo (01:16:55):
Started picking berries
up.
Wylie (01:16:57):
Nice.
Kipo (01:16:58):
Uh okay.
Zard (01:17:00):
Strange.
Morpheus (01:17:01):
They were just flying
by.
Cobble (01:17:02):
T hey're going the way
that we were going.
Wylie (01:17:03):
Yeah, they're going the
way you're fine.
Zard (01:17:05):
We'll just follow in
behind.
Morpheus (01:17:10):
I guess we'll just
follow behind him.
Zard (01:17:12):
All right.
All three.
Cobble?
Mimir (01:17:15):
Cobble.
Oh no, we're going to be.
Cobble (01:17:16):
Yeah, he hops out.
Zard (01:17:18):
Oh goodness, gobble, you
scared me.
Cobble (01:17:20):
Oh, sorry.
Morpheus (01:17:21):
Were you looking for
rocks again?
No.
Have you seen something?
Mimir (01:17:26):
Very dismissive.
Have you seen rocks?
Uh cool.
Okay.
Yeah, well, can you startlocking the road?
Wylie (01:17:39):
Yeah, it at least makes
you more confident that you're
headed towards civilization.
Yeah.
So that's helpful.
Mimir (01:17:43):
Um, so you guys can I
look behind us and see what they
were running from?
Because that's that's myassumption, is that they were
running from something.
Wylie (01:17:52):
Yeah, you can look back
down.
Yeah.
Zard (01:17:54):
I don't know why they
would be running uh and too busy
to stop.
Natural 20.
No joke, and it's a differentdie.
It's a mini die.
This is crazy.
I only it's like natural onesor natural twenties, dude.
Yeah.
Wylie (01:18:10):
So as you're you're kind
of thinking about it and you're
kind of like remembering likethe expressions on their faces
and stuff, you realize they'renot running from anything.
They were racing.
Zard (01:18:21):
Oh.
Wylie (01:18:22):
They're racing.
Zard (01:18:23):
That's fantastic.
I will write that in myjournal.
I'll be like, you know, this isa racetrack that we're on.
Kipo (01:18:33):
This is a racetrack.
Wylie (01:18:35):
That's a perfect
combination of a not one and a
not too.
Zard (01:18:37):
Yeah, exactly.
I'm I'm so excited.
We get a free show.
Uh and I will walk uh calmly onthe side of the road and um I
uh begin to make like uh uh asign that says, go you uh on it.
Almost there.
Uh-huh.
Morpheus (01:18:58):
Almost there.
Wylie (01:18:59):
Does it say yay sports?
Zard (01:19:00):
Yeah, yay sports, yeah.
Morpheus (01:19:02):
Go team.
Wylie (01:19:04):
Awesome.
Morpheus (01:19:06):
Wait, who's in first?
Zard (01:19:07):
I don't know.
I I'm wondering if we saw firstplace, or were they racing for
last?
So that'd be very important, very uh impressive.
Good determination there.
unknown (01:19:19):
Wow.
Wylie (01:19:20):
So you guys are walking,
following the path, following
the cloud of dust that took offahead of you down the road, you
know, um, kind of slightlyuphill a little bit, um, some of
this time.
So you know you're kind ofheading to the mountain-ish
area.
And um the sun is is startingto set.
It's starting to look likeevening time.
Um and you're getting like thatfaint little bit of chill that
(01:19:45):
comes in the nighttime, so youknow that it's not you know
total summer where it's gonnastay hot.
It's been fairly warm becauseyou've been in the sunshine and
everything, but it's it'sgetting a little bit of a chill.
Um, as if, you know, maybe it'sit's sort of the End of summer,
leading into fall a little bit,you know, that's the kind of
season that it feels like toyou.
(01:20:07):
And um as you get closer toyour destination, you start to
hear the sounds of a town, aloud town.
You hear loud music, bustling.
It sounds like there's a lot ofpeople.
And just as the sun is setting, you guys come up on this town,
(01:20:33):
and you see a sign outside.
You see you see a sign outsidethe town that says Erewhon.
So this Erewhon spelt whenyou're ready, I'll spell it for
you.
Spelled E-R-E W-H O-N.
Like the fancy grocery store.
Mimir (01:20:55):
W-H-O-N.
Wylie (01:20:57):
Okay.
And um, as the sun is setting, you're seeing the glow from the
different windows and stuff intown, but you can tell that it's
very rowdy.
There are a lot of peoplehaving a lot of fun, and there's
a lot of noise in that townahead.
And um you'll get to find outmore about this town on our next
(01:21:20):
episode.
