She came up on the last episode while we were talking to Mike Scheidt, we love Eight Bells, and they have a new album releasing called Legacy of Ruin on February 25th via Prophecy Productions, so we thought what better time have on vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Melynda Jackson, and she was awesome. Melynda is one of the long list of stalwart underground heavy musicians from the bay area who relocated to Portland to escape rising cost of living and decreasing opportunity...we talk about her beginnings as a musician, her long-running band SubArachnoid Space, growing up in a small town in Texas, cheating guitar center, the artwork for their killer new record (and the music itself), and cats.
