In this episode, Julia speaks with Louise Camby, professional speaker and director of her family music business, about the power of legacy and creativity.
Louise’s grandfather, Johnny Douglas, was a prolific composer who wrote the iconic music for The Railway Children and released over 500 albums in his lifetime.

Louise is now dedicated to keeping his legacy alive while also encouraging others to reflect on the legacy they themselves are creating, both personally and within their businesses.
She shares about her current project: the upcoming release of a triple album (vinyl and CD) of Johnny Douglas’s much-loved 1980s Marvel animation scores.
Alongside her work, Louise is a Freeman of the Musicians’ Livery, and is passionate about creating opportunities for young musicians from low-income families to access lessons and nurture their talents. T
hough she plays violin herself, Louise’s focus today is on public speaking, empowering others, and continuing her family’s musical heritage.
This is a conversation about creativity, contribution, and the deep impact of legacy, one that resonates far beyond music.
