In a recent podcast episode, I had the profound honor of hosting Annie Zhao and her son, Ethan. Hailing from China, where Christians constitute approximately 2% of the population , their unwavering commitment to their faith stands as a remarkable testament to resilience and devotion.
Meeting Annie at school was a transformative experience. Her radiant spirit and steadfast love for God are truly inspiring. Annie’s dedication to serving the Lord, even at great personal cost, exemplifies a profound trust and faith. She often encourages her students to turn to prayer in times of need, embodying the belief that sincere supplication, coupled with unwavering faith, can lead to divine intervention.
Ethan, her young son, mirrors this deep-seated faith. His intelligence and early devotion to God are commendable, especially considering the challenges faced by Christians in a country where they are a minority. Annie’s narrative of her parents’ conversion to Christianity underscores the profound impact of faith across generations. Without their spiritual journey, Annie’s own path to Christ might have been different.
This episode serves as a powerful reminder of the strength found in faith and the extraordinary ways it can shape our lives, even amidst adversity.
