September is mental health awareness month. Since I started the podcast I mulled over the idea of doing this episode for the show. Ultimately I decided to film it. It was important to me for several reasons, the biggest being my brother committed suicide last October and I wish we had discussed mental health even more than we already did.

In this episode, I discuss how a series of bad events made me consider ending my own life. Instead, I slept on it and got help. My guest is also a dear friend who is alive today due to my quick thinking and her crying out for help in the middle of the night to let anyone know, she was in danger. I'm glad she reached out for help because I'm glad she's here today. We discuss that night and how she's doing today and also, let's end the stigma of not really talking about how we are doing.
