In chapters 6-10 of "The Cruel Prince" by Holly Black, Jude's desire to belong in the Faerie world intensifies, leading her to make risky decisions. She begins to train under the guidance of Madoc's. However, Jude sees this as an opportunity to prove herself and gain power. Meanwhile, Taryn is dealing with her own problems, as she falls in love with a faerie. Jude's ambition and thirst for power lead her to take part in a dangerous game with the other faeries, hoping to gain their respect and trust. However, her actions have unforeseen consequences and put her in even more danger. As the plot thickens, Jude's loyalty and trust are tested, and she must navigate the treacherous faerie court to protect herself and those she loves.
