In chapters 21-25 of "The Cruel Prince" by Holly Black, Jude's plan to put Prince Balekin on the throne of Faerie reaches its climax, as the coronation takes place and all the key players are forced to make their final moves. However, the ceremony is disrupted by an unexpected attack, which reveals shocking truths about the identities and motivations of some of the characters. Meanwhile, Jude's personal life becomes increasingly complicated, as she grapples with her feelings for both Prince Cardan and her childhood friend, Taryn. As the plot twists and turns, Jude must use all her wit, strength, and magical abilities to stay alive and outmaneuver her enemies.
