(00:01):
Hey everyone.
Welcome back to the BoosterMetabolism Podcast.
I'm Janine, and we're so gladthat you're here today.
If you're new to this podcast, this is a podcast where we talk
about real life strategies tohelp you juggle it all, your
health, fitness, career, life ingeneral, And if you've been
listening for a while, welcomeback.

(00:22):
We appreciate you so much, andwe're glad that you are here.
So today's topic is a fun one.
I'm excited about this.
We're piggybacking on lastweek's episode where we talked
about using AI or chat, GPT tohelp you with your nutrition.
This week we're using chat, GBT,or AI to help you write

(00:43):
workouts.
Now, don't worry, this isn'tgonna be.
Tech heavy or confusing?
I'll just walk you through how Ipersonally use chat, GBT, how
you can try it and where it fitsinto a busy lifestyle like
yours.
All right, so let me ask yousomething.
How many times have you wantedto work out, but the hardest

(01:04):
part was simply deciding what todo.
You've got 45 minutes carved outin your day.
You've finally made it to yourgarage gym, or maybe you squeeze
in a trip to the gym betweendrop offs and meetings, but then
you stand there thinking, okay.
So what should I lift?
Should I do cardio?
Do I just stretch?

(01:24):
And by the time you decide, halfyour workout window is gone.
That's called decision fatigue.
And I see it all the time withmy clients.
And honestly, I've been theretoo myself many times.
As driven, busy people, ourbrains are always making a
million decisions every singleday and we certainly don't need
one more.
I know I don't.

(01:46):
That's why chat GBT can be sucha handy tool and I think I like
to think of it as yourbrainstorming buddy.
So here's the deal.
I would say chat, GBT can createworkouts for you based on
whatever you tell it.
The cool thing is that it'sfast, flexible and works with
whatever equipment you've got.

(02:07):
So let me give you an examplereal quick.
Let's say you only havedumbbells at home and 20 minutes
before your kids come bustinginto the living room, you can
literally type into chat GBT.
Write me a 20 minute full bodyworkout using dumbbells only,
and just like that, boom, you'llget a workout sets, reps, and

(02:28):
movements.
You can start on right away.
Here's maybe another example andsomething that I have certainly
done.
Maybe you're traveling for workand all you've got is your body
weight.
You could ask it.
Give me a 30 minute hotel roomworkout body weight only focused
on legs and core.
It's like having a littleassistant who spits out ideas so

(02:51):
you don't waste time scrollingon Instagram or Pinterest for
something random.
I go crazy doing that.
So let's talk about how toreally maximize using chat GBT.
The trick with it is that thebetter your instructions, the
better the workout you'll get.

(03:12):
And this is a tactic that wecall prompting.
So you always wanna prompt chatGBT properly, and this does take
some practice, but let me giveyou some ideas.
Instead of typing, give me aworkout, which is very vague.
You wanna be specific, so youwanna tell it how much time you
have, tell it what equipment youhave, and make sure to include

(03:35):
what body part or goal you wannafocus on.
So here's a few sample promptsthat you may try out.
Create a four day workout split, focusing on glutes and abs using
dumbbells only.
Or you may say, make a quick 15minute hit workout I can do in
my living room with noequipment.

(03:56):
Or you might also say, write mea beginner friendly full body
strength workout I can do at thegym.
It's like giving GPS directions.
The clearer you are, the betterit gets you where you wanna go.
Now I'm going to have to pausehere for just a second because I

(04:17):
want to be clear aboutsomething.
Is chat, GPT amazing for quickworkouts and inspiration?
Yes, absolutely.
I use it all the time, but is ita replacement for real coaching?
Absolutely not.
And here's why.
Chat, GPT doesn't know yourform.
It doesn't know you've had aknee injury, or if you're brand

(04:38):
new to lifting and you're readyto push heavier your weights, it
doesn't know your progress Overtime, and let's be honest,
progression is what actuallychanges your body.
You've probably heard us talkabout this many times before on
this podcast, so what I wouldencourage you to do is think of
chat, GPT workouts, likefitness, fast food.

(04:59):
They're quick, they get the jobdone, and they're fine once in a
while, but long-term results, that comes from more of a
structured plan, accountabilityand progression, which is
exactly why I coach with CoutureFitness.
I do wanna share just a storyfrom my own personal experience.

(05:20):
I travel for work sometimes andI've been doing it a lot more
frequently, but when I don'talways wanna stick to my regular
lifting program.
Sometimes that's because oftravel fatigue.
Sometimes it's just the timingof when I'm traveling during the
week.
And so sometimes I just wantsomething quick and simple that
I can knock out in my hotelroom.

(05:41):
The last time that I wastraveling, I took Chat, GPT, and
I literally just typed.
Create a 20 minute hotel roomworkout that mixes cardio and
core.
It was a rest day, but I justneeded some movement before I
started my day.
It gave me things like mountainclimbers, squats.
Different plank variations inburpees.

(06:02):
Was it the most groundbreakingworkout I've ever done before?
Absolutely not.
But it did get me moving.
It was done in 20 minutes and Ididn't waste my morning Googling
hotel room workouts.
It gave me exactly what I neededfor that day and for what I was
looking for.
So here's my advice, if youwanna try this, use chat GPT

(06:23):
when you're short on time, maybewhen you're traveling for work
or even for pleasure.
And you can even use it when youjust need a little bit of
variety.
Maybe you take a week and youjust wanna decompress from your
normal workout routine.
I also would say don't overthinkit.
Even if the workout it gives youisn't perfect.
Doing something is always betterthan doing nothing.

(06:47):
And if you find something youlove, save it.
Keep a little chat, GPT WorkoutBank in your notes app.
I use my notes app all the timefor things like this.
But always come back to yourlong-term plan.
Random workouts will not get youresults.
I just wanna say that one moretime.
Random workouts will not getyou, that physique that you're

(07:09):
looking for will not help youbecome more toned or build some
muscle what you're looking forif you're really looking to
change your physique and buildsome muscle.
Become more toned.
You need structured progressivetraining and that's where the
Couture fitness coaching teamand I can help you.

(07:30):
So anyway, let's wrap it all up.
Chat.
GPT can be really fun.
It can be a helpful tool tobreak through decision fatigue.
It can keep things fresh.
Make sure you don't waste timewhen life gets crazy, but it's
not a coach.
It's not going to track yourprogress.
It's not going to keep youaccountable or help you stay
consistent.
That's where programs like ourscome in.

(07:53):
If you're listening to this andthinking, yes, I want that
structure, I want someone totake.
The guess work off my plate, then I would love to chat with
you.
We'll put a link in the shownotes where you can learn more
about working with us.
Okay, so that's all that I havefor today's episode.
If you found this helpful, do mea favor, share this with a
friend who's busy, driven, maybejust needs a little push to try

(08:16):
something new.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
