Speaker 1 (00:00):
Here's an unpopular opinion.
The last thing we need is moremarketing.
We don't need more platforms.
We don't need more ideas.
What we need is to get it rightand get it tight that's an 80s
song.
If you don't know it, look itup.
But going through and makingsure that we have everything
optimized like it should andthat we haven't settled in to
kind of the complacency thatcomes with doing something for

(00:21):
more than a couple months.
So I'm going to give you threeways you might be feeling stuck
and what to do about it.
The first way you might befeeling stuck is by not having a
content plan, not having a planat all.
When you're more reactive andliving week by week, rather than
planning a month ahead or atleast idea generating for the
next month, it gets to be verychaotic and anxiety filled in

(00:45):
your everyday.
So what I recommend is a start.
If you haven't done any contentplanning that's real, beyond
just jotting down some bulletpoints on a piece of paper Just
make a Google calendar andinclude or enter in any sales
that you're having importantdates coming up, the holidays
that are coming up and whatmight work for your brand to

(01:05):
talk about during those holidays, any birthdays, anniversaries,
special dates in your business.
What your customer is thinking, feeling and doing in that month
is huge.
And then create content aroundthat.
So, from there, plan one hour amonth of capturing behind the
scenes, getting video of theproduct service, the people, and

(01:26):
getting photos of whatever theend result is, of what they want
to have or feel as a result ofworking with you.
Doesn't take long to do that.
Once you get in the habit ofdoing that, things get a lot
easier.
Number two is feelingoverwhelmed by trends and
feeling not cool enough, likehaving that imposter syndrome.
Totally get it.
I feel it every time I go toturn on the video and I can

(01:50):
relate, believe me.
But nobody's going to pay mybills but me.
I'm alone in my business.
I have an awesome virtualassistant, but beyond that, I
like to have control of mybusiness rather than numerous
employees, and with that thatmeans I carry the weight, and if
I don't do it, nobody will.
And you might be in that sameposition If you're a social

(02:10):
media manager.
Oftentimes you're the only onein the business.
There might be a marketing team, but you're the only one doing
social media.
So hopping on trends doesn'treally help to move things
forward.
But being real, one-on-onetalking like this, connecting in
a personal way, whether it'syou or someone behind the brand,
really will help you to get outof that imposter syndrome

(02:32):
thought pattern and really willhelp you to feel like you're
connected to your customer in anew or different way, and
they'll see the difference.
You'll start to see it in yourmetrics.
So number three is not knowingwhere your audience is or maybe
not being clear on who yourideal customer is.
So it's really important torevisit this every five years, I

(02:52):
would say, if not every twoyears.
Who is your ideal customer?
Where do they shop?
What's their age range?
What motivates them to make apurchase?
Times have changed and buyinghabits have changed majorly just
in the last six months.
So where are people hanging outonline that you want to reach?
It's really important torevisit that, and you can start
by asking your customers.

(03:13):
If you work one-on-one withpeople or you send out a survey,
whatever the case, try torevisit that and figure out
where is everybody hanging out?
Am I even on the rightplatforms to reach these people?
Because, doing anything for anyamount of time, you really do
become comfortable andcomplacent at times and that's
where you become more reactiveand less proactive.

(03:35):
So just being real with yourcustomers and showing your
authentic self makes such a hugedifference, and visual
marketing, I believe, is the wayto do that.
If you look at any of theplatforms that you're using,
it's visual marketing.
There's visuals attached toeverything.
Unless you use X's, very fewvisuals, but it's still a visual
platform in a lot of ways.

(03:55):
Even LinkedIn has become veryvisual.
So up-leveling your visualmarketing is what's really going
to help you in 2025.
I believe authenticity is goingto be the name of the game
showing real faces, talking likea real person.
And when it comes to marketing, from my experience working with
many business types I've workedwith flower shops and builders,

(04:16):
remodelers, you name it thestrategies that I use in my
coaching work.
In any industry, authenticityis what has always changed
things for people, and gettingconnected to your customer is
what creates that loyalty.
So I believe in supporting smallbusiness owners like myself.
That's why I'm here.
That's why I have a YouTubechannel.

(04:36):
I don't care if it ever getsmonetized.
I really don't.
I just want to be here to helppeople and give real strategies
that can uplevel your business, help you to feel like you've got
it a little bit more together, because we all feel like a hot
mess a lot of the time, but inreality it just takes a few
strategies and knowing how theseplatforms work and

(04:57):
understanding your customer on adeeper level to advance and get
your marketing unstuck.
In January, I'll be opening upsome coaching spots.
I'm not looking to sell that inthis video, but I'm my only
marketing person, so I'm here totell you that I will be taking
some one-on-one marketingclients where we create a
success path together and wework through those steps

(05:20):
together whether it's gettingmore five-star reviews, getting
your photo or video skills alittle higher, creating better
reels, carousels, learning whoyour ideal customer is and
having another set of eyes onyour business and your overall
marketing strategy is a hugehelp.
You don't have to do this alone.
We work alone enough.

(05:40):
It helps to just have thatother person there and I love
being that cheerleader and thatguide to help people like you
and like me actually to be theperson I wish I had a lot of the
time in my business.
I've had coaches in my businessbut, starting out in photography
, I never really found thatphotography coach or guide or
mentor that I really needed.

(06:01):
I found it later in otherindustries and that's when I
began to realize that thestrategies and the steps are all
the same.
It's just having that outsideperson to help guide you through
it, and I'm really awesome atthat.
So I've helped multi-milliondollar businesses to expand and
create more leads organicallythan I actually have with small

(06:23):
businesses.
I work more with mid-levelbusinesses a lot of the time and
, believe me, those strategieswork with individual businesses
as well, and it almost becomes aproblem because the amount of
leads that come in, we have toturn the faucet down, maybe
raise rates or raise prices inorder to handle the influx.
A lot of the time.
That's a great problem to have, and that actually is my secret

(06:44):
stealthy goal is to get moreleads than you can handle so
that you can increase your rates, make more money, have more
time with your family.
That's what I want for myselfand for everybody that I work
with.
So watch the next video andyou'll have some more
inspiration and more tools inyour toolbox.
So follow along and I'll behere to inspire you and guide

(07:06):
you every step of the way.
