Félix Millán played 2nd base for the Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets in the 1960s and 1970s. He was an outstanding, well-rounded athlete who put up amazing numbers both offensively and defensively. He was also a class act: a humble, quiet, hard worker who rarely missed a game.
Lifelong Mets fans Nancy and Chris discuss the Puerto Rican legend's life and career. El Gatito is Chris' all-time favorite Met because he famously choked up on the bat, just like he did as a little kid. Nancy recognizes his humble origins, faith and perseverance from her own family's history.
We were very excited to research and record this, and we hope you enjoy it.
