SPEAKER_00 (00:03):
Welcome to the Bourbon and Breakthroughs
podcast, where entrepreneursreveal their biggest
breakthroughs, both in life andin business.
I'm your host, Chris Goodman, and I'm a life and business
coach on a mission to helppeople change their lives and
grow their businesses.
On this show, you'll get todistill your own life-changing
lessons from my friends, clients, and the best

(00:25):
entrepreneurs around the world.
During our conversation, wefeature and taste a new or
notable bourbon or somethinglike it and raise a glass to
personal development, businessgrowth, and squeezing every drop
out of life.
So whether you're a seasonedentrepreneur or just starting
out, join us for this episode ofbourbon and breakthroughs.
Cheers.

(00:49):
Hey everyone, welcome back toBourbon and Breakthroughs.
A little bit of a bittersweetepisode today because I'm
announcing that I'm actuallypausing this podcast for the
second time.
The first pause was last year.
I just had a lot going on anddecided that it wasn't my one
thing at the time.
This time, I don't know when I'mgoing to restart the podcast.

(01:10):
So it's a potentially a month'slong pause, a potentially years
long pause.
And here's why.
I love this show.
I love getting to interview theguests that I have on.
I love the whole bourbon aspectthat I've brought on in the last
year or so.
I love that we fold that intothe live event, the bourbon and
breakthroughs live event that Ido in Louisville, Kentucky.

(01:31):
I love hearing peopleimplementing some of the things
that we talk about or some ofthe pieces of advice that my
guests offer.
and how it's changing theirlives and their businesses.
I love all of that.
Things that I don't love behindthe scenes right now are how
much time it's taking from mywork and my family and that I'm

(01:52):
not able to produce this show ina way that I'm happy with right
now to put the marketing, thevideo value and production value
behind it that I really thinkit's capable of.
And if you know anything aboutme, I want to do it right if I'm
going to do it at all.
So right now, I don't feel likeI'm doing the show right.
I feel like it's a distractionfrom my bigger goals and not in

(02:14):
a bad way or a problematic way, just like a, hey, this is just
where I'm at with it.
And I was talking with a frienda couple of weeks ago and he
said, man, I really appreciatethat you just let your business
evolve as it needs to.
You are not so hardcore with anyone thing in your business that
it's going to, that you have todo it even at the expense of

(02:36):
your family time or yourhappiness or anything else.
Like you just roll with it.
And if you want to shutsomething down, you do.
That's really what I'm doingagain here.
I experimented with this lastyear and it worked.
I'm going to do it again.
So I apologize if anybody isreally hardcore into the show
and gobbles up every episode.
If you want some extra resourceswhile this show is on pause,

(02:59):
email me at Chris atGoodmanCoachingInc.com.
So it's C-H-R-I-S atGoodmanCoachingInc.com.
And let me know what you'relooking for.
And in lieu of these episodes, Iwill point you towards something
that will help you.
Coaching books, other podcasts, friends of mine in the personal
growth or business developmentspace, because I do intend to

(03:20):
still be here for you guys.
It's just the podcast won't befor a little bit.
So while even though the podcastwill be paused, three other
things will continue on that youcan still work with me in.
Number one, one-on-one coaching.
So that is reserved for businessowners who are in the two to$5
million revenue range.

(03:41):
If you're really close to thator you're right outside that,
that's not a problem.
You can always go togoodmancoachinginc.com and click
the work with me button to setup a conversation with me and
let's see if it's a fit forone-on-one coaching.
You can also get intobreakthrough coaching, which you
would go to the same place.
You would go togoodmancoachinginc.com and click
the work with me button.

(04:02):
By filling out that application, you're going to tell me what
you're looking for.
But the difference between myone-on-one coaching and
breakthrough coaching is verysimple.
Breakthrough coaching, we builtthat whole program because
several people were interestedin getting their first
experience with life coaching ortheir first experience with they
think they want to start abusiness and they're not

(04:24):
necessarily generating revenueyet.
they want to get started.
So this is the entry-levelprogram.
In breakthrough coaching, youdon't coach with me directly
very often.
You work with a coach that I'vetrained and who has decades of
experience.
So those are the first twooptions, one-on-one coaching
with me, breakthrough coachingfor entry-level coaching, and
then number three, the liveevent.

(04:46):
So the Bourbon and Breakthroughsbrand is still living and
breathing in the live eventspace.
I do this Honestly, whenever thecalendar allows me to do this.
So it might be once a year, itmight be three times a year or
four times a year.
Right now it's held inLouisville, Kentucky.
We are building a version of itthat will be able to go on the
road to different cities.

(05:06):
Right now, this is a way to comein and spend a full day coaching
with me, hearing from some ofthe entrepreneurs that have a
ton of value to provide in termsof a panel discussion, Q&A, or
an interview where I just grillthem for a half hour or an hour
in front of you and extracttheir brilliance for you.
You get...

(05:26):
Real-time coaching, real-timemasterminding with like-minded
business owners.
And then we do a bunch ofbourbon things, like we taste
rare bourbons.
Last time we did a flight offive or even six rare bourbons,
including a unicorn bourbon, onethat is literally going extinct.
People will never be able to trythis bourbon again soon.

(05:47):
And we do a fantastic dinner.
desserts, cocktail hour afterall is said and done.
And then the second day we goout and we tour distilleries.
So you're getting to hang outwith the people you made friends
with yesterday and getting to dothe whole sensory experience of
walking through rickhouses andseeing and feeling and smelling
these bourbon barrels as theyage and tasting the bourbon

(06:09):
straight from the barrel at oneof our favorite distillers, Old
Louisville Whiskey Company.
You get to do once in a lifetimetype of bourbon oriented things.
So if that's interesting to you, email me, chris at
goodmancoachinginc.com becausewe're about ready to confirm the
dates for the next one.
We're looking at June 7th and8th, 2024.

(06:29):
And we'll say it's not confirmedjust yet because we have to get
the distilleries on board, butwe're really close.
We're probably less than a weekaway from that.
So if you're interested in that, you know how to get me, right?
Go to the website,goodmancoachinginc.com, click on
work with me, fill out thequestions there and you'll get
me directly or shoot me anemail.
So listen, I want to say thankyou to everyone who has taken

(06:52):
the time to listen to even oneepisode.
And especially if you sharedthat episode with somebody else,
because that means the world tome that you found some value in
this and you were willing totake a stand for someone else
and say, hey, I think you shouldlisten to this too.
And if you're in a positionwhere you have a platform or a
group or a business where youwould like me to get involved,

(07:15):
come speak, be a guest on yourpodcast, for instance, just let
me know.
I'm really looking forward to anew season of service where I
can offer more time, the timethat I would put toward this
podcast.
I'm going to plug right backinto client service and guest
appearances.
So if you're interested in that,do reach out.
Now, I'm not one for sappy,long-winded goodbyes, so let's

(07:38):
just do this.
It's really not goodbye.
It's to be continued, right?
It's see you later, because I dothink there will be a bigger,
better, badder version ofBourbon and Breakthroughs, the
podcast, in the future.
Until then, though, everyone, cheers, y'all, and thank you
again.

(07:58):
