Our podcast guest have included Police Chiefs, Sheriffs, Lieutenants, Sgts, Detectives, etc, but for the most part, when you call 911 with a problem at 2AM they will not be the ones to respond to a call for help. Our patrol officers working the streets every day, taking call after call, will be the first responders to a call for help. Today’s guest is one of those “ground pounders” that we count on to show up when we need assistance. Harold McDonald has worked the streets of Mesa, AZ as a Mesa Police Officer for over 13 years and seen it all. Harold makes it all seem like just another day’s work but it takes a street savvy cop with common sense and a level head to be an effective patrol officer. On this episode Harold shares his insights on Law Enforcement and the importance of seeing a career in police work as more of a “calling” than a job. PS: At the time of this interview Harold is on light duty in communications due to a shoulder injury he sustained while chasing down and arresting a resisting suspect.
