What a privilege to have my old graveyard patrol partner, Larry Minturn, as my guest on The Boys in Blue podcast. Larry was my mentor and training officer during my rookie year as a Deputy with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Dept. Larry is entering his 50th year on the department (yes, 50 years)……now Lieutenant in the Detective Division. Larry’s experiences throughout his 50 years in law enforcement are so extensive that I made him commit to a Part II podcast at a later date. This episode covers some of his many assignments including Homicide Investigation, Arson Investigation, Child Abuse, and he speaks openly about how he emotionally handled the fatal shooting of a suspect. Include in this podcast are some of our “war stories” that we encountered as we patrolled the mean streets of Pierce County as partners on the night shift….some dangerous and others amusing.
