What is the difference between mental illness and mental health? How can we make the shift from being reactive to being proactive? How can we promote recovery of the whole person, rather than just treat the symptoms? In this episode, Kathryn Forbes interviews Dr. Madhukar Trivedi and Dr. Anne Fuller about strategies to reduce risk, promote resilience, and ultimately prevent depression in adolescents. Learn about the importance of early identification and about CDRC research and outreach programs that are working to improve our understanding of youth mental health.
Anne Fuller, PhD joins us from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she is Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology. She received her Master's and PhD in Clinical Psychology with a child family subspecialty from Loyola University, Chicago, and completed her postdoctoral research with us at the CDRC.
