Speaker 1 (00:21):
Hello, Hello, Hello, Welcome to another episode of Bravo We're
Black and Listen. I know that y'all have been tired
of hearing me yap all day, all night, like back
to back to back by myself, so I had to
bring in the biggest period of obviously my co host Aaron. Aaron,

(00:44):
how are you, baby, Welcome back.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
I'm good, I'm good, and I'm happy to be back
because we have so many things to talk about today,
like and I know you guys aren't typing ko yapping,
because like this is who delivers the new This is
like some official shit. It's a good show.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
It's a good and this is my first time like
literally like producing this ship.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Like she's like producing this shit, like.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
For real, for real, like right now, real, I'm scared,
like right now like the best show that we've ever had,
or we might just not have a show for it
tomorrow and we'll just have a good conversation.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
So proud because you have been doing this ship and
putting it out and producing it and literally you've been
doing it in silence, and I'm like.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
And then I shared I shared that post that's like
can you can you guys tell that I'm moving in silence.
I'm moving in silence. Does anyone know that I'm doing silence?
I want to announce that I'm moving in silence. You
can tell chow Okay, this is actually a bonus episode
because we have something important to talk about. One of

(02:02):
our favorite shows period, one of the shows that go
down in the group chat, goes down in the DM,
goes down everywhere. Like, if you are not watching this show,
you should be watching this show, and you want to
tell the people what it is.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Honey, It's Beauty in the Black to be specific. And
I you know what, this show has gotten a lot
of hate, a lot of love, a lot of mid
signals because I do hear a lot of people saying
that it's a repetitive show. And this is what I
was actually just saying on my story because it's like,

(02:36):
y'all know, yes.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Tell people about the stories, because when you put up
your stories, everyone is like, oh, Aaron's back. Aaron's back,
because you do your opinions, you say what you have
to say, and then you make your point and you
give people things to talk about, and then you disappear
for like months at a time.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, almost years, and so you know, It's like if
I come and I say something, or if you see
that in the background and I'm telling you guys something,
it's because I know what you guys like, and this
is a show that you guys will like. Like they
are repetitive. Sometimes sometimes the conversations are like, hey, Malory,

(03:18):
what did you do yesterday? I told you what I
did yesterday? Why are you asking yesterday? Why are you
asking about yesterday? Because I want to know, so why
do you want to know, well what happened yesterday?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I think that that is just a part of the
charm though, like for me, like you can tell that
he doesn't want to waste just like me, a lot
of time on editing. Like one thing about it if
you messed up your line, but then you say it right,
like you correct it like in the middle of it.
Like for example, there was this part with Horace was

(03:50):
on the plane and Kimmy asked him. She's like, oh, how,
I mean, like, are you there yet? He goes, I'm
almost landing. I'm landing in one hour. And it's like,
are you almost landing or are you landing in one hour?
And it's like it doesn't matter because I just said
both yeah, and it's so.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Shoes which one you want to you want to use it.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
It's kind of like an interactive adventure, like.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah, and even with that guy that was talking to
Angel in the like the garage, did you hear when
he messed up on his line and he just kind
of kept moving past it? And it's like I like
that though, because it's realistic, Like not everybody's gonna talk
in proper sentences in a full script and dialogue all
the time. So it gives me like, this is the streets,

(04:36):
this is the outside, this is like the real world.
There is not a word I believe.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
It's like this podcast. You hear us repeat some shit
ten times ten times.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah, it's not fishes and sharks giving articles like this
is real life.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I don't know what that means at I've never heard.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
That's when Jocelyn was in court, do you remember that
and he was like what about fancy Cats?

Speaker 1 (05:07):
When she's on the stand and she's just like.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Yeah, what does this mean? This is like the real life.
This is the real life world and a lot of
stuff is going on. I do feel like season two
has like it started so strong and I have literally
when I watched it. I was excited from the first
episode to the second episode to the third episode. Yeah,

(05:32):
we have so many ball players, so many main characters.
Now Kimmy has really stepped up and become one of
my favorites.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Was entertained, just like I was saying, this is the thing.
I have no like difference between the first season and
the second season. This is okay for you guys that
don't know how it goes. Tyler Perry has this thing
where he does like a part one and a part
to this is now the second season, but this is

(06:03):
part one of a second season, so there will be
another eight episodes. And I think that my qualm was
the only qualm that I agreed with online, was that
it took her seven episodes to come to the office.
And I'm just like you. The whole preview was her
coming to the office. But when she got there, it

(06:25):
was so powerful. But it's not like the rest, like
one through six, nothing happened. We had so much exposition,
we had so much backstory, we had so much building up,
We had so many things going on, and like, we
need that filler. You guys are now used to eight episodes,

(06:46):
which I hate. I hate this whole eight episode, six
episodes story arc. I don't even like ten episodes. Give
me sixteen episodes. Give me Riverdale used to do twenty
two episodes in twelve weeks. Give me filler, give me backstory,
give me stuff that's unnecessary, give me everything, because we're

(07:06):
gonna learn. We learned more about with Charles is up to.
We also had I forgot Olivia. We had a lot
of more Olivia, like there's multiple care. We had the
sister finally, and then she came into play. I didn't
see we'll talk, we'll talk about that, but I didn't
see where her story was going. Like there's just so
much going on. And you guys, if this makes it

(07:28):
to YouTube, I have on my pimple patch that's what
you're seeing on my forehead.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
I've seen that and I was like, how innovative, because
like people are using that stuff and I haven't gotten
there yet, but I am.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
It's just like for when you have one spot that's
like swollen and you want to like get that done
with in like one or two days. You put that
on for eight hours. And they have some that are
like fashionable, they have some that are designer. They have
so many different ones, so many like or if you
want higluronic acid. I'm getting into skinnycare, you guys, because

(08:00):
I'm getting a lot of free skincare lately, and it's
it's really giving that you've back into my skin, like
I feel ten again. But yeah, you guys, if if
I upload this, you will see that I'm wearing a
pimple patch and shout out to the pimple patch whears.

(08:20):
But yeah, so we saw so much stuff and I
don't really understand why people are complaining now because if
you watch the first part, even if you didn't watch
the second part of the first season, if you watch
those first eight episodes, you should have known what to expect.
If you watch any Tyler Perry like production that's a

(08:42):
TV show, you should know what to expect. So I
don't really understand where this shot comes from. But for
me personally, it's gotten to the point where even shout
out to my friend Valerie. She doesn't really listen to
the episode, but it's like she's not the target demo
and now now she is watching Bravo, I mean Beauty

(09:04):
and Black, and it's so funny because it's like that's
not her target demo at all, but it's hilarious. I
love seeing Mariah Carrey's x Brian Tanaka the one that
I don't know if he has a crush on Kimmy
or he has a crush on Kimmy's friend the driver slash.
Oh okay, yeah, okay, Japan Nigga, I didn't call him that.

(09:30):
That was literally what they said.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
They that was me too calm down with that.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
It was too much.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
And then Butler Nigga.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Is multiple times by.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
The same yeah. Like it's sometimes I'm like, Okay, I
know this is Tyler Perry because he finds humor out
of this ship and it's like, so do I. But
after a certain amount of times, I'm like, Okay, it's
getting out of hand. Like it's getting out of hand.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
And you know what It's like what happened was like
I think it was from I think it was from
the last Tyler Perry show that came not showed the
movie that came out when he was, you know, dating,
like we talked about when they went on vacation and
she was supposed to be like marrying him, where he

(10:22):
was like, oh, what's up, old nigga, what's up? My nigga.
That's pretty much like what happened. Yeah, But anyways, other
than that, I have like no complaints. So let's just
start like where we started off at. Like obviously, she
married Horace in the hospital. Her and Rain and her

(10:44):
sister are all in the hospital and they come out
of the hospital room and everyone is just shocked.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Yeah, everybody shocked, and you know, now it's official. I
feel like I love how Kimi also came out of
the room and she was like she had the balls immediately,
like they didn't ease her into it. Like she came
out the room and she was like, I'm out here
to tell you you're just so what's up? All of the bitches,
even Olivia everyone, And I love how Olivia pretends to

(11:15):
be so nice and then like later on she's like
I am the original bitch the foundation. But I love
how it came on strong. The only thing that I
didn't like was Rain. I'm not a fan of Rain's character.
You're doing too much. You almost died on the table, girl,

(11:37):
Like you almost died, you almost lost your life, and
you're coming out the room with this box surgery and
you like yeah, yo, like since your ass down and
let the bosses do what the boxes do. Like Kimmy
is on top right now and you are causing, yes,

(11:59):
she's doing a lot, and it's like a part of
me also feels like she's kind of jealous.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
Which is weird because she literally took her to the
bank and was like, I'm giving my sister five hundred K.
I'm giving you five hundred K. When is enough?

Speaker 2 (12:14):
She's like, actually, I'm gonna own the club. It's like, whoa,
that's not even happening into season five, Like we're on
season two right now, Like, calm down, let's get through
season two and maybe we can talk about you having
some ownership of the club, like you're expecting a lot,
Like she just married this man and you guys are

(12:37):
jumping into a lot. So I feel like they need
to give Kimmy some grace. And we also seen that
even though Kimmy feels comfortable around Horse, you can tell
there's a part of her that still feels scared, still
feels nervous. She was literally being traffic just a few
episodes ago, and now she is free and she is
the wife of this the boss man pretty much the

(13:00):
woman that's really on.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Top exactly and I'm just like, Okay, you literally just
got off the table. You are not. Like, I'm still confused,
like is body dead or is she not dead?

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Yeah? I'm still confused about that too, because they say
she's alive. Like I heard someone say she's alive, but
then I also heard someone say that she's dead. But
that's right, she's dead, And I'm like, so, which is witch?

Speaker 1 (13:31):
They're in the they're in this show and she's like, oh,
body's not dead, Body's alive. And then they come back
and they're like, well, if she's alive, that's messed up
because they're having her funeral and everything. So it's like,
what what is.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
The truth her funeral?

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Yeah, they were saying that like oh they're collecting money
or go fund me for her funeral. I think they
said that like or it's something. I'm just like, so
is she alive? Is she dead? Where is Oh? My god,
if you watched drag racehots everyone watched drag Race? Where
is the body?

Speaker 2 (14:11):
What is it? And let me actually pull up the
cast too, so I have all the names. So it
was and I'll tell you whose character said it? Damn?
Where is he?

Speaker 1 (14:21):
And also who was it? Lady that was like miss
pat the lady that Yeah, but I'm saying like that
was her son that came there, right.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Yeah, I think her name is Delinda if I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Do you think that like her son is going to
come back and like cause trouble or yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
I think he is going to cause trouble at some point.
That's another thing that I didn't like. I wish they
would have like dubbed a bit more into that before
we got Jule's son killed, Like that was a bit
I was like, we could have saved that. We didn't
have to do that. This season, Yeah, too much going on.

(15:00):
It's just gonna add more drama. And I feel like
the more drama that Tyler Perry adds, the more we're
not gonna be able to address the smaller things like
Dylana and her son, because I'm like, I want to
see what he does and how he gets in that
back room to find all that stuff to own this
club and maybe possibly shut the whole thing now, yeah,
because it seems like Melory already knows what's going on

(15:24):
and a lot of other people do too, So I'm like,
when are they gonna actually shut this down exactly?

Speaker 1 (15:29):
And then okay, so we had Horace basically like he's
knocking at death's door. But then the girl just like
googles and I'm like, has no one thought to google?
To google like how to get to these places? And
she's like, well, there's treatment for this. Mind you, we
still don't really know. Well, I think we know what

(15:51):
kind of cancer he has, but it's just like, is
this not have you not? As a rich person? The
first thing rich people do is look for the world
class care, the best care that can happen. And then
also they look for trials. They look for pretty much
anything that can, you know, save them in life. So

(16:12):
why was it so easy for her to pretty much
like google this and be like, hey, there's a there's
a clinic that can save you. And then he just
like leaves the hospitals.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Like, oh, that's a good idea. Let me go Angel.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Like Angel gets like he doesn't even get shot, like
he's completely fine, goes to his baby mama's house, and
then just goes to the hospital. Like I'm just so
confused by that. But that's kind of like a good
confusion because I'm like, yeah, it doesn't make any sense,
but it's actually interesting and.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
That's how you have to watch the show. That's what
I would advise people to do, Like nothing is gonna
make sense. And Tyler Perry's not going to go so
much into certain things because he already knows there is
a chance that it might not add up, like ultimately,
which is why I feel like he's not diving too
deep into the cancer thing, because he's like, well, what

(17:06):
if I say something that doesn't make sense? Yeah, and
then they really cancel me. So he's like, he just
has cancer and that's what it's gonna be. And he
coughs up blood. That's enough. That's enough information.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
He's sick, and now let's talk about how he gave
Kimmy and.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Tell me what our hospital look worse. That's what I
don't understand. Like they took him in this rural part
of wherever he's at, and the inside of the hospital
room looks like motel sits, and I'm like, this is
top of the line cancer treatment, Like I just don't
understand it. I was expecting like a room with like

(17:43):
all these corporate machines, like.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Like Karen from SpongeBob should be there basically like giving
the care and I'm just like what's going on? And
then with the whole shooting thing, they did they ever resolved.
I know that they said that this guy is gonna
want someone, you know, to be taken care of, and

(18:08):
when he found that it was Angel, he tried to
stop it. But now Angel was alive and he's pretty
much like walking around like do we know what ended
up happening?

Speaker 2 (18:18):
And that's the crazy part about it too. I don't
think they've gotten too that. It's just like Angel got
out of the situation and he's home now, which is
where he needs to stay. Like why would he be
out and about it if he almost got killed. I
wouldn't be trying to run to a retail store to bout.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Go to the store, going to his baby mama house
like he probably went.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
To h It's just it's too much and you know what,
And Rain was also spotted in the club, which is
kind of weird. I mean, I guess they know she's
alive now, so it's like there's nothing that because I
think he did Okay, yeah, okay, that makes him because
Horace did say Rain Timmy's sister and Kimmy will not

(19:04):
be touched. Yeah, and then eventually Jewel to the list.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
Yeah he put that in the in the will. Well, okay,
I guess they wrap that up. I guess yeah, I
would say, okay, so Rain. I think everyone agrees that
Rain is doing too much. But I think have you
ever met not even a girl, just a person who
is They call it when you are always like getting

(19:32):
in trouble and then you're going back to jail. They
call it institutionalized. But this is not institutionalized because she's
not going back to jail. She's just like some people
have that you can take the girl out of the hood. Well,
you can't take the hood out of the girl, and
I think that's what we're seeing with Rain.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
I can agree with that. I just feel like it's
very scary because it's like you're playing around a lot
with fire and you guys are in a good position.
You're barely in the position that you're in. So just
enjoy the ride, you know, allow things to play out.
How she took initiative to go to that hotel and

(20:11):
get revenge on Ts Matterson's character, the lady who botched her.
I thought that was a bit crazy. I'm like, why
are we doing this right now? And then you got
your ass beat. On top of that, if she didn't
invite that guy in, who knows what would have happened.
She probably would have been botched.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Worse, she probably wouldn't have survived, actually, because ts was
she like first she already thought that she was dead
from that surgery, So I mean, if she would have
finished the job, no one would have cared, babe. So
it's just like you just went up in there. And
then on top of that, like you're sparing people. If

(20:51):
you're gonna go in there, you're gonna do all this stuff,
why are you sparing people? Let that I'm sorry, the
girl should have died. That's a witness.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
I agree. I would have let him do his thing.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
Honestly, she's young, she's still in that life.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
And I have a I have a feeling that she's
gonna get caught because she's still able to be traffic.
And I'm like, Keimmy, you are not in rain. You
are not Harriet Tubman, like you cannot keep getting away
with it. You're safe, and you are barely safe. Bask

(21:30):
in that moment and appreciate that. But now you've added
another witness to all your bullshit. And if Jules get
a hold with this girl. Oh, it's over because she's
gonna you know, she's gonna tell. You know, she's gonna
tell exactly what she saw. She's not gonna die.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
I would tell without them being asked, even asking.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Yeah, that girl Rain, she was in there and she
they kill somebody. They killed that girl. They killed two
people and the other one too, and the other one
wasn't even doing shit, like she was kind of chilling,
like damn. Now when they shot her, I was like, well, damn,
like she didn't even do nothing.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
Listen, every anyone who's a witness has to go.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
I was, and I actually thought that that was Bonnie.
At first, I thought they recasted her. Like for a
hot second, I was just like, what.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
That wouldn't have made any sense.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Yeah, that would have been a little weird, but it was.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Like, it's no shade. But it's just like he's available,
like she's very available. And that's why I feel like
she might be alive.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
I guess we'll see that season. I don't know. I
don't even know if Odell addressed that, because it's so
many other things that he's so many plot twists and
so many things that he's opening up where it's like
we have to address these things immediately. Yeah, we can't
really afford to, you know, address all the smaller things

(23:07):
because it's like we only have eight episodes, and then
we have the.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
First part and then the second part you have eight
more episodes. So I mean, I feel like in a
sixteen episode arc, especially because each episode is an hour,
you should be able to address everything.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
I hope so.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
But at the same time, I think, what was the
one that we used to watch, the one that used
to come on own not? Yeah, its have nots. They
used to have so many different like open like so
many questions, are more questions than when we originally saw
the show, But then at the end when everyone just died,

(23:49):
it made sense.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
It didn't actually, but I think we accepted it because
it's like what else, what are we gonna get? Like,
and it did feel like a way his time. So
if he does that, that would really be the end
for me, Like can you think that you wasted my
time again?

Speaker 1 (24:07):
And it's kind of a gag. Did you notice that
he used one of those same lines that he used
in the movie that Mallory was in with Taraji, but
he made Kimmy say it instead of like someone else
like somos yeah about burning the house down with me

(24:27):
in it. I'm like, wait, I know this line specifically.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
It was Taji that said it first.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Yes, and now it's it's Kimmy, and I'm like it's
not as powerful, but.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Yeah, because it's I mean, she's a young Papa root like, yeah,
she's not Taraji p Henton not yet, like she's not there.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Yeah, like we need to we need to hear. So
like maybe like season four she could have said it.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Like season eight around that time when she has a bob.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Then it's like, you think it's her eight seasons to
get above.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Yeah, I don't think that's gonna I don't think she's
gonna get that right off.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
I think right off the bat. But eight seasons to
get a bob.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Yeah, that's crazy because they're gonna give her a streak
and then they're gonna give her bangs probably yeah, and
then so on and so on.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yeah, you know that doesn't make sense.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
Another thing that I'm really interested in is Charles and Varney.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Yes, that is my favorite storyline.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Yeah, the biggest storylines for me, not just because okay,
so now Roy, Charles and Varney are things still now, Varney,
I'm still trying to understand if he's out. I don't
know if he's out or still in the closet. He
really hasn't specified what it is because when asked, he's like,

(25:59):
I don't know. I just know it's just because this family.
And I'm just like, what is that? Like, what does
that mean? You're a lawyer?

Speaker 1 (26:08):
Interpreted as he was saying, even if I was out,
it wouldn't matter because I can't be with Charles because
of whose family is Like, Okay, yeah, I'm gay, but
I can't be with Charles because this family is dangerous.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
If you can't say that, then why the hell do
you keep saying I love yall? Like every other scene
he's like, I love you, Charles, I love y'all, I
love y'all, I love y'all. Want to be with you.
So it's like it doesn't make any sense to me.
And then it's like when Charles goes on his little rants,
he still goes upstairs, and you know, they do what
they do, and then he comes downstairs. Now this time

(26:49):
around Roy happened to witness it, which is the brother
of Charles, and I thought that was an invasion of privacy.
I definitely thought that was like a lot, because I'm like,
why the hell are you in Charles house? Like this.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
What we know?

Speaker 2 (27:10):
I don't know. I think he just showed up, like
he's like normally I don't show up, but this time
I showed up. And it's like it doesn't really make
me sense.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Though, Like what did he show up for? What were they?
What was he originally for?

Speaker 2 (27:22):
Who knows? I guess to talk to Charles about something.
But I'm like, none of this makes sense because Charles
Roy would never come over to Charles house Number one,
because Roy is homophobic. Number two. Roy doesn't want to
see any of that ship and he already knows what
his brother gets into his festivities, So I'm like, why
would he just randomly pop up at his house? Like

(27:43):
that doesn't make any sense. And then on top of that,
I just don't understand why Varney would allow Roy to
threaten him in the way that he did, Like it's
never that serious. You're not going to talk to me
like I'm rit and this big ass man that's like
tall as hell, and Roy is just like Malik debarges
little cousin. It doesn't make any.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Sense, especially like because he's the family lawyer, you know
what I mean, Like, you're not a lowly security guard,
like you know a lot of people's secrets. You know,
you hold the card you yeah, you have all the
cards here, So why are you here and allowing this

(28:30):
man to Basically he's telling him, Oh, if if I
say jump, you got to say how high? And he's like, oh,
you have to say that, You're my bitch, and he
says it, and it's I'm just like that was like
ringe worthy waist.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
This is a fantalic period. It was. It absolutely was,
and it would be for me too. I would want
to see it. Like I think that he's going and
things doing a good deal with it. It's like he's
giving me everything that I want to see, you know.
But it's just in a way where it's like, Okay,
one time, wasn't that we didn't have to say it?

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Like and that's what people mean by the repetitive thing.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Yeah, he's like, again, Tyler really was hands on that
day and he.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Says it though, yeah he says, and I can. I can. Yeah,
it's insane And then you know what, really I think
the Okay, So my favorite part of the season was
I think Olivia finding out that Varney was gay. And

(29:38):
then my least part of the season was when Roy
got peed on by his dad, even though it was
well deserved, I just did not want to see that,
Like that was just stop.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
He almost like died right there on the spot. I'm like,
are you okay? And then just to know that he's
like pin blood and doing all this stuff. He's like,
it's a lot. It's a lot. I'm sorry, but it's
like it's weird. You know, you know about this in
the back of your mind, like this is strange. I

(30:17):
don't know how I feel about it, but he definitely
deserved it, so I did turn the other way and
I allowed it. Yeah, I didn't have a problem with it.
You know, it was what it was because you're always
talking shit and I'm startry for Varney to hold the
cards now and really play his role like Roy needs you.
You don't need Roy.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
At all at all. And that's why I like now
that he's out. I like Mallory and Varney's relationship because
now it's like a friendship and she's like shut up,
like she's like, you know, like it's just they have
that not necessarily a friendship because she's a friend to

(30:57):
no one, but they have that thing where she's like
the only one who's like, oh, okay, he's gay, Like
that's why he's not into me, Like let's carry on,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
She's very accepting too, and I love that she is.
She's the biggest hour but she's yeah, yeah, And I
would consider them friends because she's literally giving him advice
on how to take down her husband.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
That's the only one who we see her friendly with too.
Like everyone else, even when she's like fake to them
or whatever, it's like she has no friends. We never
see her like, you know, how she went to college.
She was probably in a sorority. We never see her
with anyone that we're like, oh, this is Malory is
like real friend, Like even if she talks about them, no,

(31:44):
Like with Varney, it's like, even when she's making fun
of him, she's like, well, why don't you just do this?
So you know, like it's very much like a Housewives
hairdresser relationship.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
And I do I do enjoy it. I really yes,
because that's what I was gonna say. I think that
she needed a break from being a bitch and I
was glad that we actually got to see that side.
I mean, I understand why she's a bitch, like with
all these people that keep trying her. I definitely gret

(32:19):
but you know, it's it is nice to see another
side of her. So we talked about favorite moments. You
said your favorite moment was with Olivia.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Yes, when they were in that restaurant.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
M I would say my favorite moment was with Olivia
as well, but it was her speech that she gave
kim like was really good when she was like, I'm
the foundation and if the foundation rocks, then everything comes
crashing down.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
Because I liked when Kimmy was giving it to everybody.
I was like, oh, she said, yeah, get her office.
But when it comes to Olivia, it's only so much
you're gonna be able to do with not just Olivia
but also Debbie Morgan. Like I saw it, Debbie Morgan come.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
Out and she was like, you are pissing me off.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
She went off script. Mmm, like I don't really think
that that was in the script.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
You are pissing me off.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
It's like she's like I get it, like you have
your have your way, sure, but when it comes to
you know, like this company and you're trying to change everything.
I got it set up a certain church. I'm running
the church. I know that you don't know what the
fuck you're doing. Let me go fuck my young niggers,

(33:51):
and you can play with everybody else here, but do
not with this company or me.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
But I do think that Kimmy, I was very surprised
and how she stood her ground and how she was
also knowledgeable about everything, because I really thought that she
was gonna come in and need the help of Forest
and kind of like flop for her first day. I
really thought that was gonna happen. Yeah, But to see

(34:20):
that she is like educated and she knows what's going on.
She may not know the terminology necessarily, but she knows
exactly what's going on, and it seems like she is
going to, if anything, save the business from crumbling. Now.
Will people be affected by this, absolutely, Olivia and Norman
are definitely going to be affected because that poker LLC

(34:41):
that Norman has is going now, and.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Then Norman is Norman is Tina knows that Richard Lawson right, Okay.
So I will also say I see what my mom said,
because she watched the first part, not even the first season,
but after those first episodes, she was completely done with
Richard Lawson and she's like, I can't ever see him

(35:08):
like that again. And it's like she does not want
to see this show anymore. She's like, because Richard laws
in every scene, he's like this, who killed my mother?
The wife's rich And I'm just like, where is the
Richard Lawson? Like that was on sister's sister and that

(35:32):
what you were saying. I feel like that's why Tina
divorced him, Like that's not acting.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Maybe Tina was Oliba.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
I don't want to. I don't I don't think that I.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Would like to believe it. Somebody that cuts out her
own hair to provide we for her daughter is definitely.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
By any means, by any necessary necessary.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
And now you just got up after that whole scandal
came out with Richard Lawson, how she just got up
and literally detached herself from that man and moved completely
in silence.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Because one thing about it, at the end of the day,
the day go in.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
And under this ship wasn't gonna work. When they did
that little show in the Oprah the.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Own network, I didn't see it, but.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
And she kept over talking literally. That's another thing that
I want to talking about with that particular show. A
lot of the couples that were on it have gotten
a divorce, and her husband were on that show got
a divorce, and you can kind of see, literally, you're
crumbling in there because Tia overtalked him a lot, and

(36:45):
then there got some point where he started overtalking her to.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Take it back.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
But that's how he feels in his like, that's how
he feels in his relationship with Tia though, because it's
like she's making all the money. She's the one who's
really like known, and she's kind of kind of tired
of that shit, and like she's used to being like
not the masculine one, because I believe that he was

(37:13):
masculine and he was a father and all the good
things about him. But when it comes to like being
on camera, he's already like, Okay, you're already the star,
Like let me talk, damn wood do.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
She didn't give a damn And that's the thing about
tat never gives a damn.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Well. The thing is, I really like Tia. I don't
understand why people are always like, oh, she's so a
loning me. No, I'm saying, like just in general, like
people like, oh my god, I was one of the
only ones who watched her show on we TV, and
like I posted one clip of her show on TikTok.

(37:54):
It blew up because it had one of her friends
on it, and one of her friends were like, oh
I made out with Rihanna, and then like it wasn't
even just a friend that was getting attacked. Everyone was like,
Tia is just so corny. She need to go back
to her husband. She's lonely, she's single, she's a loser.
I'm just like, when did we start to feel this.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
Way about Tia Tamara? Honestly, I get it, but Tia
is just like it's insane a little bit. I've always liked.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
She giggles like she she giggles. She's not sexy, like
you know, she's kind of late.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
In my opinion, I do think that Tia does have
sets appeal. I argue about it. I think Tia in
real life, if Tia goes upstairs and pulls out they
cameraright and puts it in her hallway and she goes
back to having a bob, that's it.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
You think, so like, like everything about her think that
she is that same. And I hate when they do
this to Chloe too, Like I agree, I was just
about to say the same thing.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
It's like, oh, she has no set suppel, she's so lame,
she's so this. She so that, God forbid a girl
have a personality and be educated and not be a whore.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
That's the realty. Because everyone that you deem to be
giving or sexy or having, like I.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Think it, they're horsh it's just jumping out of the screen.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
But them, they're sexy. But God forbid a girl want
to say loving you in moans.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
And well and we want to argue her. Okay, we
don't want to, you know.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Well, but I understand why they like got on her
for that. But other than that, I don't understand why
they're just like, she's not that. I mean, she's multi
faceted though, like she can act, she can sing, she
you know, they they can be versatile. Now, if you
want to say Halle isn't sexy, I understand that because

(40:15):
Holly is more classy, cute, you know, like yeah, But
I think.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
It's like, why are we so set on telling people
who's set see and who's not like if people find
them set, he let them find them sexy. Like I'm
not gonna shame anybody into like feeling like they're not hot.
I think that's weird, you know, every now and then,
I'm not gonna say that I haven't done it in
the past, because I feel like as human beings, we
all have done it at one point, like kind of

(40:40):
like he is not I don't know what you're seeing him.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
But but I don't think that's what people are saying.
People are saying that Tiya and Holly like they're cute,
but they're not giving sex appeal, because that's like different things.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
Yeah, I think they are, though I do. I think
they're clone capable of doing it. I think that Chloe
is more capable of doing it now because she's toned
down a lot. Like if she has her ass, her
ass just happens to be out, like she's not on
the bed with a robe in the lollipop like you
know what I'm saying, Like that was a little bit

(41:17):
I'm like too on the nose, Like we're trying to
bring that up when you're the case, because at that
time I just felt like it was just not appropriate.
But now that it's past. I'm like, we can kind
of talk about it a little bit. That was a
lot and I think she realized that, which is why
she's like, Okay, I will just post my pictures and

(41:40):
go and go.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
Yeah, that's carnivals and she has a body for it.
What do you think about? What's her name? Is that? Angela?
The one that was with down in the DM dude,
Angela Simmons. They keep saying that she's another one that
they keep saying she's cute, but she doesn't have any
sex appeal. And I feel like that's unfair because I

(42:04):
feel like they said about her because she doesn't have
a BBL. She has a natural nice body. Oh so
we found the one woman that you know.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
I didn't say anything about it, actually because it's not
my place. Actually, it's not my place to say.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
But you've defended to and Chloe certain things.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
I can't defend Angela Simmons. I can't. I've tried. I've
tried for years, Angela Simmons. But when she went to
that award show and she pulled out the gun, enough.

Speaker 1 (42:43):
I say that and you turn it into a sticker,
and I hate for it.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
Because that's the only thing I can think of now
when I see her, like her pulling out that gun.
Whose ideal was that? And then it's like's another one.
She tries to be setsy, like you don't have to try,
but you said never had to try. You know, it
just was what it was. It's not like she's like

(43:10):
I'm setsy, like she has something to prove, like the
setsis people on this planet don't have to do anything.
Jason Momo.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Yeah, he doesn't have to try.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
He doesn't have to try. You know.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
It's so buddy, because you said his name wrong exactly
the way you say so Crabb.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
That's what's so funny.

Speaker 1 (43:47):
That was her stepfather at one point, and I feel
like you're doing it on purpose.

Speaker 2 (43:52):
I did not do it on purpose. I like Jason Mamoa.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
The thing is, you know his DMN name you've heard, yes,
But at first you said Momo. You've heard his name enough.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
I didn't mean to say it like that.

Speaker 1 (44:09):
You've known this man since he was on Johnson vacation,
so don't.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
Well there he was trying, but it actually.

Speaker 1 (44:19):
But it makes into the plot.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
Yeah, yeah, so it's like, oh.

Speaker 1 (44:23):
My, he was like gonna go over there. Actually just
about to say in the block.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
Married, she's not married anymore.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
The divorce.

Speaker 2 (44:38):
Yeah, her and that guy.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (44:40):
Yeah, they're not together. They're divorced.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
Okay, get them together now. I want the family vacation too,
with Solange and Jason Momo.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
See saloone outside with Like who was that that she
was with? Like some rapper from I forgot his name.
It's like some well known rapper for in the nineties.
And she was like cheesing and grinned. I'm like, yeah,
was it so just slim?

Speaker 1 (45:06):
Was it somebody? Somebody Beyonce hooked up, because you know
how Beyonce always has like the hottest, the big baby like.

Speaker 2 (45:15):
Somebody, but it was someone.

Speaker 1 (45:19):
It was someone. No, she's she's literally with someone else
that was.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
That's messy.

Speaker 1 (45:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
And it comes to Monica Brandy and go.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
To the Brandy and Monica tour and they want you
guys to wear suits. That's the theme for the tour.
So if you're going, make sure you wear a suit
of power suit. Don't shoot the messenger. That's literally what
they said. They did a whole promo and they said
wear power suits, and they were in power suits. So
I hope that you have. You were like big ass.

Speaker 2 (45:58):
Now though, like I just feel like that's a bit much.
That's not the vibe that I'm trying to do for
Brandy and Monica. I was thinking like some thick ass
white sandals, like.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
And that's exactly what they didn't want.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
Because you know, people are gonna play like people are
going to play so much.

Speaker 1 (46:21):
That's what they want to prevent. So they're like, oh,
we have a theme. Beyonce has a theme, you know,
Taylor Swift has a theme. God that has a theme, Like,
let us get a theme. And I'm just like, no,
Mary J. Blige just and it's and everyone wore what
they they look good like, they were what they want.

Speaker 2 (46:42):
Who the hell is gonna wear a power suit?

Speaker 1 (46:44):
They did as a whole outside like that.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
It is crazy. It's gonna smell like chip leans outside, Like,
please don't make that the theme.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
Well, I guess it's because you have films every winter,
and you know, other people get se other places get seasons.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
Oh, because here I'm like inside as hell. So you
guys need to excuse us. Maybe like a blazer or
something like.

Speaker 1 (47:11):
Wear a bathing suit if you're in Florida and counts
okay to the show. What are some other like what
do you think about Angels storyline?

Speaker 2 (47:25):
Let me use the sister first, because I felt like
her fucking on Jewel's son literally in an hour into
her living in the house was like insane, Like the
wore just jumped out of the screen. But I like
that for her because she's like young and innocent and
she's like, I don't know nothing about nothing, but she

(47:48):
knows how to fuck and that's the funny part about it.
And that boy was definitely not doing anything to her.
So when Rain came in with like that rake and
she just started like pushing at him, I'm like, what
is this about?

Speaker 1 (48:04):
Especially like once she got him away from her, how
about de escalate the situation.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
And stop She's fucking everything up all the time. She
needs to die, I'm telling you when when the show
comes back, she needs to get shot in her head.

Speaker 1 (48:20):
Who should do it?

Speaker 2 (48:22):
You know? Because I'm sorry if I literally got us
in this big ass house and you murdered two people
while I'm doing what I need to do and at
any possible time we can die, I'm killing you friend
or not enough, don't play with me like not while

(48:42):
I'm doing all of this, like, let's play season five,
Like maybe I'll give you a little bit more leeway.
I'm like, fine, you can kill one person, like nothing
too crazy, but like, but you killed three people so far.

Speaker 1 (48:59):
It's already like you're at the store and you're like, oh,
let's get to everything.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
Wanted to keep it.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
She hasn't gotten sleep, and I'm like, what is going on?

Speaker 2 (49:08):
She had not gotten no sleep. She wasn't supposed to
be sleeping. You're up worrying about what Kimmy's sister is doing.
That girl is okay, she's fine. She was having a
good time too in a barn, like God, she's having fine,
Like let the girl live a little geese. And then

(49:30):
you come in and you just like kill probably and
that might have been the best thing that she's ever had,
Like can you imagine? And like instantly they're dead, like
they're on the floor with their neck like to the side,
bleeding out.

Speaker 1 (49:49):
Yeah. I was about to say, like, you know what,
since no one's up here, both of you guys are
gonna have to die because already we were fucked and
it's your fault and your.

Speaker 2 (50:04):
What that wasps?

Speaker 1 (50:06):
I just met your ass to why it's so worried
about me.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
Whole that scene of her bbl and then her looking
back at Kim kills me every time I literally rewind
it like five times when she's like, you could see
that shit and it's like it got even bigger and
you know, celebrated to that shit on purpose, and she

(50:31):
looks back and she's like, you see what they did
to me? And Kim was just disgusted. She's likes the
wrong thing, and you're still trying to go to the club.

Speaker 1 (50:44):
Like when she was telling I forget Ts Madison's character's name,
but she's like, yeah, you see, it looks good now
because hes Madison is like you didn't die and you
look good. She's like yeah, because I have these pants
on or whatever. But when I go to shower or

(51:05):
I take this off, it's just disgusting. And I'm just
like we were talking about a botched BBO. I cannot
believe that this is some people's reality at this point.
Just kill me.

Speaker 2 (51:17):
Yeah, that's but it is. It's a sad story. But
like they I remember seeing that like that looked a mess,
like it looks anything about that, Like I'm not at
that hospital. They didn't help her that much because they
don't know what the fuck they're doing.

Speaker 1 (51:31):
Hey, because it's not a plastic surgery hospital and they're
there to save her life.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
They are, But that's what I'm saying, Like I would
not leave that hospital. That's like leaving Memorial Hospital and
then just going to the club like immediately with a
wate shaper.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
Like that is diabolical, Then call me diabolical, Like the club,
you just almost died.

Speaker 2 (52:02):
The doctor was like, get rest, and then she does it.
She leaves the hospital and she goes straight to the
to the house and showers and goes to the club.

Speaker 1 (52:12):
That's how I wouldn't have Bravoklan. In twenty twenty three,
I left the hospital, went home and then went to
Bravoklan and that was my first time going to Vegas.

Speaker 2 (52:21):
And that was fucking insane. But me personally, there will
be no way I just got doing. I would be
done for years. Like you think you guys don't see
me now, you would not see me for three years,
no contact. I don't care what show came out.

Speaker 1 (52:42):
No show could get you out, but no.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
Show like I will watch it. I'm not gonna say
I wouldn't last to watch it at home, but I
wouldn't tell you guys about it. Like, be honest, I
could do a live action Proud Family and I would
literally watch that shit in silent.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
I don't believe that there's even manifested for your life.
She even mentioned that she was having twins. You were like,
proud family, okay her sister, Like that really shocked me
because she also seemed so innocent too, so it was

(53:20):
just like, damn, you just got his I literally thought
that they were like just riding horses, and like I thought,
what would happen? What I thought, what happened was that
she would have fell off the horse and then Ray
would have gotten mad. And that's what.

Speaker 2 (53:38):
Literally what happened, just not in the way that you
inspected it to happen.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
A different way. Oh god. Yeah, but what do you guys, Well,
what do you think about Angel?

Speaker 2 (53:51):
I don't care about Angel.

Speaker 1 (53:54):
Yeah. I feel like the first the first part, he
was more essential, but the second part now that he's
kind of just like he got the black card and
he's just like walking around.

Speaker 3 (54:06):
It's just like, okay, I want and this his mind
and I can use any of these cars.

Speaker 1 (54:16):
And whose name is on it?

Speaker 2 (54:17):
And I can go, and I can and I can
go anywhere I want.

Speaker 1 (54:20):
Bring it around the front. Can you bring it around
the front?

Speaker 2 (54:25):
Brings from round the front too? I want to try
this one out.

Speaker 1 (54:28):
Can I drive this car?

Speaker 2 (54:29):
Yeah? Like I hate him. I want him and Rain
to literally get in the car today.

Speaker 1 (54:39):
Wait, Rain could go, but he could stay because he's
kind as fuck to me.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
Yeah, Angel looks good. But at the same time, Oh,
another scene before we stop. I want to say that
that scene of Charles killing those people was really cool.
That one scene really grassmate Charles, actually, because I was like, damn,
he's gonna get his ass be but to see that
he literally killed all of them and then chop them up.

Speaker 1 (55:06):
But I think that goes a lot to say that
a lot of people think that they can mess with
queer people or fuck with gay boys honestly and think
that that is, you know, okay, But in reality it's like,
just because someone's gay, don't mean they don't got hands
or they don't know what the buck to do.

Speaker 2 (55:27):
I never thought it was because he was gay.

Speaker 1 (55:33):
That was a good like, a good like message to
send because.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
I'm as coked out as this man is. There's no way.

Speaker 1 (55:41):
Well, sometimes that that will help you, Like I've seen
it on Power, like when Tommy's coked out, he does
some of his best work.

Speaker 2 (55:51):
Lindsey wait what.

Speaker 1 (55:55):
No on Power? Okay, No, Lindsey, Okay whatever.

Speaker 2 (56:08):
I don't want to get into that because.

Speaker 1 (56:10):
What what what do you want to see in this
next part?

Speaker 2 (56:15):
Obviously another day of Kimmy at the office. Obviously I
want to see the conversation that happens between Kimmy and Olivia.
I'm decided to see that. And I also want to
see if Mallory and Kimmy develop a friendship, because I
feel like they're both such strong characters now, Like so
I do kind of see that in the works. I

(56:36):
see something happening that brings them together. And I don't
know if that's going to be nets the nets half
of the episodes of the season, or if it's going
to be the following season, whether that's killing Roy together
our Jewels. I feel like something is going to happen
that requires them to like work, going to become cool.

Speaker 1 (56:59):
Yeah, necessarily see them being friends, but I can see
a team up because there is a respect that Mallory
has when she's like, Okay, this is the bitch that
literally fucked my husband. I don't really care about him.
It's more about the point. But at the same time,
she thought she was going to be in there and
be a coward and not know anything about it. But
if she saves the company one and two they have

(57:22):
to team up to kill someone, there's a silent respect
that's going to be there that I can't wait to see.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
Yeah, and I'm excited to see that. Also, Rain's character
get killed off. That's what I want to see it.
I'm doing. I've had enough.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
I get it. It's she's too much of a liability.
That's what we call it, a liar.

Speaker 2 (57:43):
And it's like sometimes you just gotta take take it out,
take her out. And that's what Kimmy needs to do,
either Keimmy or Mallory. Maybe they'll bond over that. Maybe maybe.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
Well, you guys, that was Beauty in Black Part one
of season two. Let us know, like, who is your
favorite character in part two? Who is your least favorite
character in part two? What do you want to see
in the second part of part two? I mean, you know,
season two, part two, And also what is your favorite

(58:18):
like corny thing that happens during the show. I think
my favorite corny thing is other than them repeating stuff,
is when Mallory says that you smell like and then
she just says the most random shit because when she
smelled the driver and she was like, you smell like
twices and berries, and like why is in juice? Like

(58:40):
why does someone smelling like spices, berries and juice piss
you off? That's juice I get, but spices and berries and.

Speaker 2 (58:48):
Juice because he's trying to like clean it up.

Speaker 1 (58:52):
What is your favorite little thing little corny thing that like,
it's only in the Tyler Perry production that you.

Speaker 2 (59:00):
I would say, just like the dramatics, like the slight differences,
like I said, how rings BBL just keeps getting bigger.
It's just like funny to me because I'm like, it's
and I know Toyler Perry is doing this intentionally, That's
what's so funny about it. And then like at the
club when the girls slap the funk out of each other,

(59:20):
like that whole energy. I love that. Like honestly, that
new girl whatever her name is, I forgot.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
Yeah, I don't know her name.

Speaker 2 (59:29):
He's taking it, yeah whoever.

Speaker 1 (59:32):
I like her, but she looks familiar.

Speaker 2 (59:34):
Was she not in.

Speaker 1 (59:38):
Pee Valley or she was so she had to be
unless she's an influencer. She just looks so famil.

Speaker 2 (59:44):
I think she may be an influencer or something. I
don't think Pete Valley.

Speaker 1 (59:47):
Okay, okay, but Pee Valley needs to come back, because.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
Honestly, yes, I need to see that.

Speaker 1 (59:53):
I'm not saying that this can take it. I'm just
saying that, like I'm forgetting about peat. Come on, it's realistically, Yeah,
this is like the real deal.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
We're not repeating our cell phone. No, it is happening.
Within the episodes that we see, We're going to get to.

Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
A point, exactly, get to a point. All right, you guys, Well,
we're gonna have a Bravo episode out either before this
or after this. Either way, just know that there's two
episodes out right now or there will be this weekend.
Love you guys, Thank you for listening. Bye bye

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
