Speaker 1 (00:01):
Ho ho ho. Hold up, it's your girl Raven from
Bitches Better and I hope you're ready because we are
decking all the hauls this month and I'm Kaya from Bravo.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
We're Black here to sprinkle a little holiday chaos, a
little pop culture here, and a whole lot of opinions
you didn't ask for but absolutely need.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
That's right. For the entire month of December, We're teaming
up for something bold, something beautiful, something borderline unhinged Hot
Miss Extravaganza.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Every single day, we're dropping episodes covering all the shows, scandals, storylines,
and celebrity shenanigans you can't stop talking.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
About, from reality TV mess to unexpected pop culture moments.
We're breaking it all down with our signature blended snark,
insight and festive foolishness.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Consider this your daily dose of December delight than advert calendar,
but instead of chocolate, you get piping hot takes.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
So grab your cocoa, grab your wine, honestly, grab both,
and get ready to play the season with us. Because
pod Miss has officially begun.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
O Mary, pod Miss, it's your girl, Keaya from Bravo.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
We're Black and it's me raythan from Bitches Better.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
We are on day two of pod Mios and we
just had a ball talking about Potomac. And I knew
that we were going to have fun talking about Potomac,
just as we did Married to Beta City yesterday, but
mainly because when I texted Raven about Potomac saying, Oh,
this was such a good episode, I can't wait to
talk about it, She's like, I can't really talk about

(01:50):
it either, and I have nothing good to say. So
I knew that we were going to just gossip down
and that's exactly what it was. So make sure you
guys go listen to that, make sure that you go
subscribe to the Patreon and also rate us both five
stars because it's a big thing.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
That we're doing here.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Okay and Mary Podmus today's topic is the Vampire Diaries
season three.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Raven made it through it.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
She's actually on season five. I'm at the end of
season five. But for the first time since listen, I
actually was very good because you were I was going
I would be done and be on my original season
three right now, So I slowed down a lot because

(02:41):
I didn't want to get exactly what where I am
right now, to the point where I'm like, well, what
had happened again?

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Is season three. That's why I haven't started season five
yet because I'm like, I need to get these two
these thoughts out about these seasons and then I can
do it, because yeah, listen, if we get some stuff
mixed up on these episodes, no we didn't, all right.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
No we didn't know me and you saw it because
this came out ten years ago, so we hope that
you're having a great time rewatching with us.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Period. Y Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
The season two finale, it was called as I Lay
Dying and there's a sacrifice ritual.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Elena was killed and resurrected.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Jeremy died earlier and brought back, and he started seeing ghosts,
and then the final scenes showed Jeremy waking up and
finding two dead vampires. It's just like a lot that happened.
And then we get into season three, and this is

(03:47):
really where the original shine, Like season three and season
four are their seasons.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Oh hell yeah, especially season four, but well, yeah, we
really like met the whole family season three, Like right,
the mom she said, I hate these children. They have
to die, and just listen, you thought it was just
Michael and no, like it was both of the parents.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Both of the parents were like, you guys are abominations.
Actually you need to fucking die, and like the mom
is the original witch. So she's just like absolutely not.
Like we also like finally, you know, explore the history
of the children before we only had Elijah Eah and

(04:45):
and we get to meet Rebecca, and we get to
meet Cole and Finn and obviously the mom that we're
talking about, her name is Esther, and the season she
has a she's trying to kill all of them, and
Finn is like, I volunteer as tribute.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
So she's gathering witches and she's like, I'm going to
kill these people now I'm doing it. It's not a
for discussion. Elena, give me that blood. I'm not saying
with you, you can hand it over or I'm going to
take it, okay.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Right, because we find out that the only way that
you can make a hybrid, which is what Klaus is,
is with the Dappelganger's blood, and the specific Dappelganger is Elena.
Dappelgangers play an important part in season three, but it
will start to play more important parts as we progress

(05:44):
throughout this series. What do we think about wow so much. Okay,
I know you had already met Klaus. You already saw
what I you know, was telling you, like he does
not play, but yes, we really see his powers, his ruthlessness,

(06:06):
and his strength, like as a hybrid like this Magga
is a vampire, but he's also a werewolf and he's
also a day walker. Like he just does not play.
What is yours unstoppable of Klaus at this point? And
also just his personality. I love him more each episode. Okay,

(06:30):
because already you had been talking him up and I
was like, okay, okay, like we'll see yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
I was like no, no, Like he really is that bitch,
Like I I can't say anything bad about him. He
has a he's a man with a plan and all
he's trying to do is execute it. And so if
everyone was just cooperate, it didn't have to be all
of this. You see what I'm saying, right, it didn't
have to be all of this. But they don't listen.

(06:59):
Mainly Elena. I want her dad. That's so sick. Good
a bitch. Every time I think she's gonna die, they're like, no,
she's back. I'm like, oh my god, she's the issue.
I thought we'd gotten rid of her, but now skint
into her like she just runs into danger, like immediately, no,

(07:20):
I'm going I'm not leaving without him. It's always something
like that I have to help, you can't. You literally can't,
And the one thing that you can do to help
you won't because you don't want to help Klaus. So
just sit down, right, go hide somewhere, like shut up.
That is so stupid.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
But okay, speaking of Klaus and obviously Elena, and we're
gonna get into the brothers of it all because obviously
we started this because I'm like, if you like the
Summer I Turned Pretty and the brother's storyline, you are
going to absolutely be floored by the brother storyline in

(08:04):
The Vampire Diaries, which plays out a little bit each season,
but it really comes to like an ultimate thing in
season four. But so Klaus basically is like, listen, Stephan,
I met you before, back in New Orleans in like

(08:24):
I don't know, like the twenties or Chicago, the Cargo
Chicago and the twenties and the jazz era, and he
was like in love what not?

Speaker 1 (08:34):
In love?

Speaker 2 (08:34):
But he fell for Rebecca and he compelled Stephan to
forget that they ever met. And he's like, for that
day or that night, I knew what it was like
to have a brother.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
And I'm like, that's crazy, consider so many cole Elijah
and with the other one are like fitn I guess
what the fuck? Then? What that's off my drag? Like
what's going on? And he's like what.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
So they have this whole thing where he forces Stephan
to turn off his humanity. And you were talking about
how you didn't like Stephan when he goes on like
a binge, when he starts like you know, consuming.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
He's a crack he's a crackhead. But when he's ripper,
he's even worse.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Not only is he crackhead, he has no humanity, and
he also takes people's bodies apart and puts them back
together as psycho.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
He is truly a serial killer. And then he writes
their names down on that wall in his apartment in Chicago.
He's like, oh what's your name? Oh nice to meet you, James,
and then rips their ass apart. There's no need to
do all of that, you know, you can drain them
of wild without ripping them to pieces and then put
them back together. Like a fucking puzzle. He's crazy, he's

(10:09):
not well. That don't have nothing to do with humanity.
He's insane.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
You can't blame it on humanity, Like you can't blame
it on mental illness, Like it's insane. Yeah, yeah, so
he he's just his humanity is off. And Elena doesn't
want to let him go. She's just like, stuff, please
and damon.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Of course you love me.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
And he's like yeah when he's ripper stuff and nothing
is going to save you, get your dumb ass out
of his face and sit fuck down somewhere. So I
have to go and like find him. While Klaus is
like trying to create the army and he sires. We
find out like what a sire bond is his sires Tiler,

(10:59):
because he breaks him from just being a werewolf and
as we saw it was literally terrible being a were wolf, like.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
He was being ripped apart basically every single bone in
his body turn it into a weir wolf once am
I it's honestly getting her period. Really, That's how I feel. No, literally,
I feel like, oh, if someone wants to take the
fun is it empire instead, let me know, because I

(11:28):
understand it. I will gladly be a hybrid. It's insane.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
But like during this entire time and search and the
time without stuff and Steffan does so many things, so
push away Elena. So Elena and Damon like they become closer,
but they really don't like cross that line like just
just yet. But Bonnie, which congratulations to cat Graham because

(12:00):
kat Graham just got married and she also revealed yesterday
that she is having a baby, and it just like
makes me so happy for her.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
She's pretty big.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Did follow her, Yeah, she's so cute. I followed Joseph
Morgan and they also revealed that they're doing an Originals
dinner in New Orleans and the cast is going to
be there, And I'm like, you guys are doing this
shit at the end of January. If you guys would
have told, like, can you do this the following January

(12:35):
so I can like recover. I just went to Bravo,
barely made it through that, and I'm like, I feel
like me and you we kind of like spoke this
into existence because no one was really trying to fuck
with the Originals or the Vampire Diaries until we started
doing this rewatch, and now there's going to be a

(12:56):
dinner with Joseph Morgan and Claire Hoole, Daniel Gillies, which
is all which is Elijah, Rebecca Klaus And you're gonna
have suss with her dinner with them, like and you're
gonna be no, because where does our invite?

Speaker 1 (13:15):
That's what I want to know, because this is ridiculous. Okay,
shout out to Cindy listener. Cindy. She said that they
have like a convention every year. Are you familiar with
this and in like a town that like Mystic Falls
is supposed to be maybe it's in Georgia or something,
and it's in March, And I was like, I need

(13:36):
to go to that.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
We need to fund figure out a plan, we need
to go fund me, or we need a sponsorship just
simply to send us to.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
This calastic Falls thing. Yes, I need to see Joseph
Morgan because he he did his thing.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
And also obviously I like Damon. I like too, Like,
I mean, it's really good. And you know Elena's having well, no,
the girl that plays Elena, oh Victorious, that's always called
her Victoria.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
It's also not Victoria. Justice needed to break.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
She just you know, she's single, she's having a city
girl summer.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Well it's not.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Well, yeah, but she had a city girl friend summer exactly.
She was on her yacht with zac Efron and some fun.
So I'm just like, absolutely after she was with the
little snowboarder dude.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
So it's just.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Been they've really been going on. They're getting active, like
son of Girl would say. But yeah, so could you imagine.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
If she was a hybrid. She she's that's a ripper
right there.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
I would absolutely just stay inside. I don't even want
to I'm good, yeah, thank you, but yeah, back to Bannie.
That was just our announcements in Casey got wanted to
go and wanted to spons for us. She is getting
involved more in magic. She's powerful, like she like the spirits.

(15:12):
She don't need nature, she is just.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Doing it. She's out here.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yes, she's like David Blaine at this point. And I
don't know if you guys keep.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Us, don't ever compare her. Who's the most powerful magician? Magicians?
That's not real. This is witchcraft and what you can't
compare mm hmm, oh what he's like, let me get
into this giant aquarium and I'm all tied up and

(15:44):
where's the key? I don't know. Am I gonna drown?
Am I not?

Speaker 2 (15:47):
No?

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Have you seen now you see me? What do you think?
When I went to the movies the other day, I
guess there's like another one coming out and I was like,
I don't even know to see this fucking preview. Tonyo
looked over at me. I was like, I don't know
what you're looking at me for. You can see that
one by yourself. Absolutely not No, an entire movie filled

(16:12):
with magic. It was.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Okay, but it's also kind of like a heist movie.
We'll get into it, we'll do a nice once.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Who's we You better get get somebody else to do it,
not me. That's where I draw the line.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
My gon Yeah, okay, So like we find out who
Bonnie's mom is.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
I think that's the season. We find out who Bonnie's
mom is, and.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
It's guess what Lynn from Girlfriends and guess who she
is Joseph Morgan's wife. Guess where they are on the
side of the Vampire Diaries. Guess what they're still together?
Guess what.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
She's nine years older than him, but they look like
he looks the same age like it. It's just so
they look so good. I love that and I think
I text you. It's like every time we get a
new witch reveal, I'm like, oh my god, there's every
black woman that I love. Yes, yes, ugh, like.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
The amount of like god, I know that, like there
is you know, And I agree, Bonnie goes through the
most on this show, and she's just used as a
bargaining chip. She is, yeah, someone it's actually pretty reflective
as being a black woman in general.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Yes, it is someone who has Yeah, it wasn't.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
It's very obvious and you know she's done wrong and
she deserves more and all this stuff. But with that
being said, I feel like every time they bring out
a witch, it's like that woman from x L oh
my god, lemn from Girlfriends, Oh my god, Jasmine guy,
oh my. Like it's just an all star lineup. So

(18:08):
they do it very very well, the casting fruit.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Which is just yeah, no, no, it's I love it.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
But yeah, So she figures out who her mom is
because they need to do a spell and.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
To open up to get Esther out to get that
coffin is not opening up. No one can.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Get it open because we believe that Klaus killed Esther
like Prima killed her, but it's not.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
He didn't perma kill her. He just just like the
rest of them.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Yes, they figure out how to let her out, and
she's like, thank you so I can get to work.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
She let me kill these kids. They are raggedy as hell.
Chris Angel, Okay, well you said so. Sorry. Actually no,
Esther doesn't deserve that either. Meanwhile, Alaric Alark got this
ring and coming back to life and so many time,

(19:17):
and like David just kills him for fun sometimes.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
And then he got the nerd to be fucking sad
and moping around because that's his only friend. When that
goes crazy and develops an Altree eagle that is a vampire.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Hunter, Oh my god, that shit was so funny. He
was so mad at Damon. Dame's like, are you serious,
Like you're really dragging it. I didn't really kill you.
I knew you know. It's not like when I killed Jeremy. Yeah,
it's He's like, oh my god, no, I can't believe
you killed me, like shut up, but yes, this is

(19:53):
his faults. He's died too many supernatural deaths. Now he's
a fucking vampire hunter. Of course, he's killing every exactly.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
And I would tell he gets vampires too, because like,
I don't care if I can come back to life,
stop killing me. It's like, okay, if you're a vampire
and you get your next snapped, you're fine, because they're
just like ah oh yeah, Like god, like they wake
up in like twenty minutes. Meanwhile, when he dies with

(20:25):
that ring, it might be a day.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Yep. Sometimes they're like, oh my god, he might be
dead for real this time. Like it's trusting this shit.
It's insane.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
But yeah, so he's like teams up with Esther and
he's like, yeah, girl, we're gonna get him, and like
get them they try.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Oh and he has been there. We've got the new
doctor in town, doctor Fell. Actually she's not Nail, but
she just appears and I said, oh hell no, because
that is crazy ass Nanny Carey from One Tree Hill.
And I said, I don't trust her, but actually she
wasn't doing anything too bad, but I was like, that
bitch is crazy. They think there's a serial killer, and

(21:19):
like she sets up a lark to be it because
it literally was. It actually was kill her boyfriend. It's
so insane. And then Matt is just Matt like as
usual he's stuck in the middle. He's just like, you're

(21:40):
just sad. Damn, everybody's a fucking vampire around here. It's
oh my god, and Caroline it actually is. Yeah, it
is really sad.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
And then Caroline finally gets a good backbone, her mom
finds out that she is, you know, a vampire. Like
all that stuff happens. But Rebecca, we need to talk
about Rebecca. Not that well, that was literally perfect, thank you.
That's all I wanted to know, Like, what are your

(22:10):
thoughts on Rebecca, because that is the second original that
we get to know as good as we know Klaus
at least that season. We get to know Elijah a
little bit more later on, but not as much as
we get to know Rebecca, because.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
We see what she's literally like a teenage.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Girl inside, Like she wants to go to prom, she
wants to be a cheerleader, she wants some boyfriend, and
she just does not know how to act though, and
I'm like, no, she doesn't get that.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Yeah, she's got to compel everybody to do these things
because again she don't know how to act. She's angry,
and you know what, rightfully, so her brother fucking carried
her around in a coffin for hundreds of years, so
she hasn't gotten to do much. And now she's out
and she's like, oh, I'm living and I want to
take your voyfriend, and I want to take and I'm

(23:01):
gonna do all these things. And who's gonna stop me.
No one, That's what I thought. I love her. She
gets on my nerves sometimes, but for the most time,
I'm like, well, yeah, go off, she's just a girl.
Like I think she's not just a girl. I think
that that's what it is about Rebecca. Like at the
end of the day, she's just a girl.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
And the only person that can really go to Tobe
with her is her big brother Klaus. Like it's use
and it's Rebecca always in forever, and they're like, why
do you even stand for Klaus? So she's like, Cuz
he's the only one that I've ever had. It's always
just been me and him, and like we had some
good times in Chicago. We had some good times, you know,

(23:42):
like when he killed our mom. I didn't even know
that he killed our mom, but I.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Still love him, like, you know, like that's my brother,
I don't my god, my friend. When Lena was like
he killed your mom and she was like, shut the
fuck up talking to me, bitch, gride to like doubt
there you But I'm like, that's so funny. It really
is just like her and Klaus. They both are like,
oh we have other siblings. No we don't. Yes, No,

(24:11):
it's literally them.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
I'm always in forever it's Klaus and Rebecca, and then
as we get more into the originals, it'll just be
like Klaus, Rebecca and Elijah like siblings. Yeah, he's he's
a gentleman. He's very bud, very classy, classy. He's a
man of his word, even though sometimes he has to
break his word. But the way that he breaks his word,

(24:35):
it's always like a little i don't know, like a
little yeah, a loophole exactly. I love Elijah too, but
not it's no way like Klaus. I'm sorry, like that's
mommy and respectfully.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
No, he's one of a kind. Literally, I love him
in every way I know you do.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
It's aid the accent, the way he says love, and
then like how sarcastic he is, and like how he'll
like bring people up the speed He's like, yeah, well
I was gonna kill her, but now she left, and
I have to find someone else, anything else, A man
with a plan that tolls you, and it's like.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
You love him, Tyler. Tyler doesn't love him. He's tired
to him. Caroline cannot stand it. She's like, are you
fucking kidding me? This guy is terrorizing the town and
Tyler's like, well, you ain't terrorizing me. He turned me exactly,
He turned me into a hybrid. So I don't know
what you want from me. I'm poor Caroline. She just

(25:38):
gets She's always getting kidnapped and tortured, right, she's next
after Bonnie. They're always working with Bonnie. When it's Caroline,
they're like, we have Caroline and we're gonna kill her.
They're just like sticking her with pencils and wood and
ship yeah, and like everybody, thank.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
You, like her in the chair and it's just like,
oh no, you can you can beat it, Like it's
fun you can stop being a vampire, you can stop
craving the blood what.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
She was so hilarious when Damon was like, oh, that's
funny coming from him, because he was like, you can change,
you can fight it. Because Caroline's dad is gay, by
the way, He's like, oh, that's rich coming from you, right,
like her mom for another man, like with the fuck Wild.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
It's just such a everyone has like these great character
arcs and they're relevant in like their own different kinds
of ways. And even the people that I don't really
care for, I'm finding that it's like everyone is necessary
because we can't have yeah, like, we can't have everyone

(26:52):
be powerful, we can't have everyone make the right decision.
And as much as I hate Elena and I want
her to die, she's really carrying, especially when she becomes
Catherine and I'm like, I'm a Catherine girl.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
I'm not an Elena girl, because Catherine is everything. Kelly. Yeah,
he pretends to be Elena until they catch her ass
and she's like, well, I guess he got me. And
I'm just like, oh, she's so she really is, Oh
my god. And Elena, I mean, we did get to

(27:28):
see her die momentarily at the end, and she came
and she came into she turned into a fucking vampire.
That's the Finaley Rebecca said, kissed me off. Oh, like.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
I'm sorry, plans elbow and then like she puts her
hand out and then when we go into the water
and she.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Tells Wickery Bridge, where Lena's parents died, what are the
chances And she tells.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Stephan to save Matt because she's like, I'll be fine,
but you know, wakes up and she's a fucking vampire
and like they're just like they took her a purity away.
And this is when it starts causing trouble between Stefan
and Elena, which is ironic because you spent the whole

(28:27):
season tearing people the fuck apart, and now you want
to judge someone for being a vampire. You know where
I've seen this before, you me b.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
He said, he showed you when Joe was with Love
and she was killing people, and he was like, ah, no,
that is crazy for you to do. Meanwhile, he put
down like hundreds of people and he's like, no, not
when you do it. I don't like that shit. Only
I get to be the serial killer, got it. This
is gonna be a romantic thing that we do together.

(29:01):
And Love was like, yes, it is exactly. She's like,
you brought the box. Give brought the box to the neighborhood,
Like what are we talking about? We're in this together,
Like it's.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Fine, hello, I mean it would be accurate if you
were also talking about me.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
I'm like, how'd you know that about me? Like, no,
it's it's not when I do it, but I don't. Yes,
But but your answer was I mean even better, more
broader men, Yes, exactly, Like how dare you? She's been
searching the US for you just run it all over
the place, making foolish decisions because she's like, I still

(29:37):
believe in you. You can get your humanity back. I
still love you. I know you still love me. And
then you finally are coming around and then you're like, uugh,
notf you're being a vampire. I don't eatuck Like exactly,
it's exactly like you got some nerve. Men will do
it every time, won't they? Oh my god?

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Can we also talk about and not just because I'm
obsessed with Klaus, but it's because I asked you, Well,
I am obsessed with Klaus, but I asked you last time.
I'm like, do you think that he will ever have
a romantic love interest? And because sometimes on the shows,
like a character, especially someone as strong and overpowered, overpowered

(30:21):
as Klaus, they don't have a love interest, they don't
really have like a weakness like that. But when we
find out that he really likes Caroline, like loves her.
He draws her, sends her a dress to wear to
the original ball, He draws her, he draws the horse.
He like he does everything for Caroline. Did you see

(30:44):
that coming at all?

Speaker 1 (30:46):
No? I did not, first of all, because I just
didn't think he had it in him. But second of all,
like Caroline and like, no shade to Caroline. I've come
around to her, but like, why are you so taken
with her? Like what is it exactly? You know, I'm confused,
but he really, he is really into her, like in
love with her, and even like into season four, which
we'll talk about another day, that like I was shocked.

(31:10):
I still am. I'm like the first evil. But then
he's like, oh but I love you, so I'll not
be as evil in this here situation. But like I
figure something else out. I don't want to upset you
too much. Me what like the truths on who it is? Like, Okay,
I can come down for a little bit.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
It's just so funny to see their relationship develop because
she's just not feeling his ass because she's with Tyler
and Tyler is sired to him, and she's like he
is torturing all of my friends and my boyfriend included,
So what the hell is.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Going on between the sheets? The sheets in my home?
And he's just like, let.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
Me draw you, let me show you the world. Like
he's like, it's so romantic with it too. He's just
like there's so much more than just Mystic Falls, Like
I'll take you to Italy, I'll take you to France.
I'll take you to where the real, the real, real
niggas are like, we'll go to etl stuff. Like He's like,

(32:15):
I can't show you the world like Aladdin and Jasmine.
Like he's really just trying to do his best place,
best foot forward. And I think it's the more that
she rejects him, the more.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
That he likes it. He likes the chase, yeah, because
she's like, no, I love Tyler. Like, girl, what Tyler
Klaus just said? He will show you the world. You
can literally do whatever you want. There's no rules. Literally
you can do anything.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
You're like, you know forever and you want a life
in Mystic Falls, girl, what are you going? What's gonna
happen in twenty years when you haven't aged a single
bit as a white woman and people are like, hey,
she has not aged as.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
A white woman in twenty years. Something's going on.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
And then I say, hey, I'm black. I don't if
something's going on, I don't want to know. Don't tell me,
don't as a matter of fact, don't talk to me.
I'm like, she looked, she looked the same. Well, no,
she does look.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Different, don't. I'm not saying that a lot of you. Okay,
don't look over here. Now you look different than me.
You do look like you aged. Actually, yeah, it's a
bay flipped.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Yeah, yeah, get twelve threads on each side, like.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
Lisa Brola, don't do that kissed me off? Oh god,
what a show man? Like, what a show?

Speaker 2 (33:42):
And then also just that, Yeah, the ball episode in
general is the first time that I realize that, Like
I think that was No, that wasn't the first time
I heard edgeern because I wasn't watching the show as
it was airing. I watched it years later, like ten
years ago. So this aired, I think, believe, like in

(34:03):
twenty ten this season the season twenty ten ish or twenty.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
Eleven ish, so I was ten years ago.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
I watched it in twenty fifteen or twenty sixteen. But
I do realize that that was around the time that
Ed Sheeran had first came onto the scene. So when
they played at Sharon at the ball and they were
just like dancing, and like Carolina is dancing with Klaus
and then ste is that Stefan Elena or David and Elena,
I don't know, people were dancing with each other, and

(34:33):
I'm just like, this is so good.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
Like they were doing this shit at.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
An executive level every single week for twenty two episodes
for nine seasons.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
It's and we're begging for eight episode seasons and they
aren't even that good because what the phenomenon was And
I'm not saying that Summer I Turn Pretty wasn't good.
I'm just saying that the reason that this was able
to develop into such a phenomenon is because we have

(35:08):
a lack of these shows. We have a lack of
Vampire Diaries, we have a lack of pretty Little Liars,
we have a lack of that week to week what's
going to happen twenty two episode season and it's like,
what happened?

Speaker 1 (35:24):
What happened?

Speaker 2 (35:25):
That you can't produce it because these shows are costing
millions and millions of dollars. I'm sure that they were
doing these shows on a smaller budget with smaller stars.
Like what happened they had VFX, you had people turning
into wear wolves and vampire. You have people getting from
point eight to point three and half of a millisecond.

(35:47):
Do you know how much money that takes a graphic
designer to fucking do? Like technology even then wasn't even
like around. So it's like, what is going on with
the team? Romance shows the reason that Heart Stopper and
the Summer I turned pretty in my life with the
Walter Boys, they're good shows, but we have had shows

(36:11):
that would air half of the year and come back
the next early year.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Yes, and because that's the thing too, six season. Yeah,
stop taking so much time off this stop. Nobody wants
to work anymore. That's what That's what that is. That's
literally what it is. It's either it's that or the
contracts are not. They must not be paying them enough
to be like, We're gonna pay all of these people

(36:39):
enough so that they don't have to go take other jobs,
and that way we can't film this shit the way
that we need to. We have to take off all
this time because this person is doing this other thing.
This person is working on this other project, So we'll
see you in two years, everybody. You know, that's weird.
That's what else point. That's a good point.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
I think that is actually the truth. And I don't
understand that either, because it's also like, there's not a
lack of source material. Baby, we don't need to go
back and do Gossip Girl again. We saw how terrible
it was. God, I watched it, of course, yeah, I
had to, okay, because I'm like, wait, no, no.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
I didn't want them to do that anyway. I didn't
appreciate that. That's just how I am though.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Like I watched The Pretty Little Liars also, it wasn't
too bad, but it was also still like eight to
ten episodes every year every two years.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
And it's just like, what is.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Really going on in Hollywood? Because we're not out of
source material? Because you can then, okay, if they don't
want to take a chance on an original idea, what
you can do is look at what's selling in the
young adult section the most, and you already have a
built in fan base. Just like with The Vampire, this

(37:58):
is based off of Bok the Summer. It turned pretty
based off of book. Right now, you guys, I am
watching a gay hockey show called Heated Rivalry, and it's
basically gays smut and it's on Yo. It's on HBO Max.
And what I say is it's hot, and I'm just

(38:19):
so glad.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
That it's called Heated Rivalry.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
I'm putting it on my list and it's and then
there's only two episodes out right now, and it's about
two gay hockey players that have like a year's long
hookup thing. But like I'm talking about their HBO Max
fucking down.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
You know, sometimes they have.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
Like the scenes and they don't really show everything.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
Yeah, like they're everything. They are really getting to it,
and it's just like so hot, like the yearning, the
you know.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
The time that goes by, the dialogue. It's really like
Challengers and Challengers was that actually gay? Because you know,
they tried to. It was big because they had that
homo erotic tone too, and I was accessible because it's
like I wanted two boyfriends.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
So but yeah, it's just like a really good show.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
And what's happening now is because it is a queer
book that was very popular, it's now a popular show
and it's done well from Crave. It's a Canadian production company,
but it's airing on HBO Max for us, and that
is blossoming because there's a bunch of books. So now

(39:32):
my roommate he's trying to find the books. He can't
find the books anywhere. They're sold out physically.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
He's all in Target, he's all in Uh what was
it called?

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Not Duty and Burke Born's and Noble. I wanting to
say books a million. It's books and millions still open.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
I don't even know it's so, but he's everywhere, Like
he doesn't even go to Target because we're boycotting Target.
But you know how Target has a young adult section,
so he got desperate. He's like, listen, well, I'm just
trying to support the gay agenda right now. So they
have it, I'm gonna get it. But they didn't have it,
so still fuck Target. Useless still but like they can

(40:18):
get fans or fail fandom that's already built in, make
these episodes and put them on.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Like, I don't know what happened to CW.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
I think that someone explained to me that someone bought
CW and that's why they stopped putting out all these
different shows. So how about we do it on twob
how about we do it on a streaming a free
streaming service, Like, let's get something together to where we
don't have to just have the Summer I Turned Pretty

(40:52):
and then you know, like just certain my life with
the Walter bo ways and wait on that stuff. Like,
let's have it to where it was like every week,
we're bringing back appointment television, right, Like we would be
able to make more money because then now we have
social media. So you saw with the SUMMERY Turn Pretty

(41:14):
if I refused to pay it was crazy.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
Yeah, like I refuse to pay for the the uncommercialized Prime.
So I have Amazon Prime now because I already have Prime, Like,
well I shouldn't have to pay anything. I'm not even
not doing it.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
So every commercial break, the lead girl that played Belly,
she'd come on and she tried to sell me a
coach purse. She's like yes, the lord through the air
with the yes the commercial and I'm like, you know what,
that's what I'm talking about. Like they get deals, they
get social media, you know, sponsorships, there's also the ad placements.

(41:53):
So really I'm ranting, but get back to it because
the potential, Yes, exactly, and we're waiting for it.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
Yeah, I'm waiting exactly.

Speaker 2 (42:15):
Is there anything else is going to say about season
three particularly?

Speaker 1 (42:22):
I don't think so. I think we got it. I
think we did it.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
Eli should body it a lark. Yeah, we covered them
in season three of TVD. Yeah, it's mainly a lark.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
Like a lark. Really shook me when and they ended
up having to kill him. Oh, I know it so
many Oh everybody would die. Wils died and they put
him in Oh yeah, I forgot about that and Tyler.

Speaker 2 (42:58):
Tyler's body and that was larious because Tyler's trying to
do the close accent and.

Speaker 1 (43:09):
No, no it didn't work and no one could do
it like my man.

Speaker 2 (43:15):
But yeah, Bonnie also sacrifices herself to save Elena.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
Always, which is so crazy, like it's don't don't do that.
Everybody's trying to save Elena all the time and wasn't.
Rebecca was saying that she's like, oh, everyone's little doppel ganga,
their favorite one, Oh sweet little Lena. I was like,
I'm with you exactly, like eat her up, get her ass,

(43:43):
seize her, like please her on.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
Where's Catherine, Yes, exactly, because when she comes, it's it's
crazy because Klaus has been following Katherine for five hundred
years and that's.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
A bad bitch.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
So you put fear in Katherine, you really know that
you and you learn about you know, like Catherine's background too.

Speaker 1 (44:06):
A little bit, but that's more in like a season
four I think. But yeah, all.

Speaker 2 (44:11):
Right, guys, that's day two of pond miss like we
did it Loisimos, and we're about to edit this shit,
so I hope that y'all enjoyed.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
It, Yes, Mary pod miss to all, and to all
a good night. Amen.
