Speaker 1 (00:00):
You can have the best
car, the sharpest team and the
most advanced equipment, but inthe heat of competition, there's
only one thing that makes orbreaks results your mind.
And here's the truth.
Most people won't tell you.
Focus is not about willpower,it's about programming.
(00:21):
Take, for example, the world'stop performers.
They don't leave winning tochance.
They train their nervous systemand their subconscious mind to
deliver on demand.
And that's exactly what thisepisode is about Proven
performance programming.
By the end of this episode, you'll know exactly how to stop
(00:43):
fighting distraction.
By the end of this episode, you'll know exactly how to stop
fighting distraction.
Reclaim focus and execute withthe precision that separates
champions from the rest.
Stay tuned.

And, of course, also be sure tosubscribe to the program so
that you don't miss out onweekly pro tips on naturally
(02:39):
fueled high performance health.
So, mid-season here in the nascseries the top three well,
basically in any racing seriesin the Northern Hemisphere and
fatigue and distractions arestarting to show up.
Talking about mistakes, talkingabout tempers, talking about
(03:02):
frustrations.
Now let me ask you have youever paused to wonder what's
causing these?
Maybe it's the long travel, maybe it's the constant pressure
, maybe it's that burnoutcreeping in, and what happens
then is the reaction times getslower and mistakes are made.
So maybe you're just going totry harder.
(03:25):
Now how often does that get youwhat you need?
Here's a shocker that mostpeople don't realize.
But willpower is just a myth.
It's finite.
It's like the battery on yourcell phone or the fuel in your
fuel cell, and that means thatgrit alone doesn't sustain peak
(03:46):
focus over a long season.
You also may not have realizedit, but your subconscious
programming is running 95% ofyour daily actions, your
thoughts, your beliefs and yourhabits, which all drive your
outcomes your beliefs and yourhabits, which all drive your
outcomes.
If that programming isscattered, if it's stressed or
(04:08):
survival-based, you're competingwith one hand tied behind your
back.
Now you might be wondering, jeff, how exactly do you reprogram
the subconscious?
Well, the answer is simpleClinical programming, hypnosis.
Now I know what you might bethinking.
Maybe you picture a stagehypnotist making people cluck
(04:30):
like chickens at a comedy show.
That was my first experiencewith hypnosis and I got a doozy
of a story for that I'llprobably share in another time.
Or maybe somebody in a moviestuck in trance, and honestly,
you know, I thought the samething decades ago when I first
saw it.
It seemed like a trick, something just for entertainment
and not for performance.
But here's the truth.
(04:51):
That's not what clinicalhypnosis is at all.
I call it clinical hypnosisbecause it was actually
recognized as a medicalprocedure by the American
Medical Association back in the1950s, because it is a
science-backed method to accessthe subconscious, the part of
(05:11):
your mind that's running that95% of your daily thoughts, your
reactions and your behaviors, and making lasting upgrades.
Now I want to clarify a fewthings here.
Now I want to clarify a fewthings here when a person is
under hypnosis, you don't losecontrol, you don't get
(05:32):
manipulated, you don't doanything against your will.
A person who is not a bankrobber cannot be hypnotized to
go out and rob a bank.
Does that make sense?
Happens is this Hypnosiscreates a focused, relaxed
(05:53):
brainwave state where resistancedrops away and the subconscious
is open to new, powerfulsuggestions, suggestions you've
chosen.
It's like upgrading thesoftware in your race car's ECU
so that the system runs faster, cleaner and more efficiently.
(06:14):
Hypnosis has made such aprofound impact on my personal
and professional life over thelast decade and it's why I went
back to school I'll say in airquotes years ago to become a
National Guild CertifiedConsulting Hypnotist, so that I
could help extraordinary peoplejust like you achieve
extraordinary goals.
And that's exactly why we builtNeuroSpeed around it.
A little bit more about that ina minute, in just a minute.
(06:36):
Because when you needrace-ready focus under pressure,
you can't just hope yourconscious willpower holds up.
You need your subconsciousprogrammed to be able to deliver
.
Now NeuroSpeed is ourproprietary performance training
(06:56):
method within the Champion'sEdge and Pit Precision programs
over at Victory Lane Wellnessfor a proven mental conditioning
system.
It's built on clinical hypnosis, it's built on neuro-linguistic
programming and it's built onsports psychology.
We're going to talk a littlebit more about sports psychology
(07:17):
in just a second.
It's also designed to reprogramsubconscious patterns for more
confidence, for more clarity andespecially more focus.
And the beauty of it is that itworks trackside or at home,
anywhere.
Precision and recovery matter.
So think of your brain likeyour team's data system.
(07:40):
If the software is buggy andglitching out, the car won't
perform, no matter how good thehardware is.
So NeuroSpeed is how we upgradeand streamline that software so
the driver or the crew candeliver with precision.
Now allow me to break it downin plain language.
You may have heard the wordneuroplasticity before.
(08:02):
Neuroplasticity is the brain'sability to rewire pathways based
on repeated focus.
You can look that up and learnmore about it if you want, but
in its simplest form, that'swhat it is.
And then brainwave management.
That means shifting fromsurvival, which is fight or
flight mode, to optimalperformance calm, focused and
(08:24):
present.
And then subconsciouspriminging.
This is executed using guidedsessions to lock in race ready
focus before an event.
Think of this just like goingto the gym on a schedule.
So you're probably wondering, okay, jeff, who actually uses
hypnosis for performance?
Is this just for people tryingto quit smoking or get over
(08:47):
their fear of height?
Well, the truth is, hypnosishas been used for decades by
some of the highest performersin the world, including athletes
.
I'm talking about Olympic teams, pro golfers, nfl players and,
(09:13):
yes, even drivers have usedhypnosis to sharpen focus,
recovery and maintain calm underpressure.
Now, who else?
Military and special forceselite operators train their
subconscious the way they traintheir body, so their reactions
are automatic when the pressureis highest.
And this is actually uh.
Somebody in the militaryspecial forces was uh, somebody
that actually turned me on tohypnosis.
(09:35):
Now, yes, I had my, my, um, myexperience back when I was in my
20s with the uh comedy show andthe stage hypnosis.
But, um, when this army rangerasked me if I had ever
considered, uh, using hypnosisfor overcoming some issues that
I was going through in my lifeand and getting the success that
(09:56):
I wanted.
I laughed and I said, jim, letme share my experience with
hypnosis.
And he's like that would not behere telling me the story today
had he not been hypnotized on aregular basis when he was on
the front lines of um in actualwartime.
(10:21):
So I won't go any deeper intothat um.
And then who else?
Who else is using this?
Entrepreneurs and executives,boardroom leaders.
They condition their minds tostay clear and decisive when
million dollar deals are on theline.
Did you know that some of thetop performing world poker
champions attribute theirsuccess to hypnosis?
That's right.
(10:41):
And then, of course, nasaastronauts have leveraged
hypnosis for years and guidedmental conditioning to manage
stress, enhance focus andprepare for the extreme demands
of space travel.
Now think about motorsports fora minute.
Every driver has the same tires, the same pit window, the same
aero package and when the fieldis that equal, the real
(11:02):
difference is inside the cockpitthe driver's ability to
regulate stress, lock in focusand execute with precision under
pressure.
The same's ability to regulatestress, lock in focus and
execute with precision underpressure.
The same can apply to theathletes that are on pit road.
And here's the kicker those topperformers don't always
announce it, because thecompetitive edge is just too
(11:23):
valuable.
Why give away your advantage?
And again, that's why I createdNeuroSpeed to bring these same
science-backed mentalconditioning protocols into
motorsports so that when fatiguesets in, when the car's too
loose, when the playoff bubbleis on the line, you've already
trained your subconscious tostay calm, stay precise and stay
(11:46):
relentless.
That's how races andchampionships are won.
Top athletes don't justvisualize, they program, they
rehearse the same neuralpathways until execution becomes
second nature.
That's not luck, that isneuroscience.
There's actually a study mighthave been from Stanford or from
(12:06):
Harvard where they took twogroups, one group these were
athletes.
I believe they were basketballplayers.
Might have been from Stanfordor from Harvard, where they took
two groups, one group thesewere athletes.
I believe they were basketballplayers.
Let's just say they were forthe sake of this conversation.
They were basketball playersand one group was hypnotized to
visualize making the basketsconsistently, shot after shot
after shot, and then the secondgroup put in extra practice to
(12:28):
go out and actually practiceshooting this same shot, shot
after shot after shot, and thenthe second group put in extra
practice to go out and actuallypractice shooting this same shot
, shot after shot after shot.
And then they put these twoteams together in a head-to-head
competition and the hypnosisgroup far outperformed the
regular training group, theextra training group, I would
say.
So there you have it.
(12:48):
So I want to give you somethingactionable here today.
I'm going to give you thisthree-step micro practice that
you can actually put intopractice today.
So number one, yourpre-performance breath reset.
You may have heard about abreath work before I want you to
take.
You don't have to do this rightnow, but anytime you can do
these three practices within 60seconds.
(13:09):
Three deep breaths, call itfive, 10 or seven, 11, as long
as the exhale is twice as longas the inhale, or I should say
longer than the inhale.
So five, 10, the exhales longerum 10 seconds, the exhales 10
seconds, the inhales fiveseconds.
So five, 10, breathing twice aslong.
Or if you just want to do seven, 11, it doesn't matter if it's
(13:31):
6, 7, as long as the exhale islonger.
The longer, the more the exhaleis longer.
So 5, 10, 7, 11, the better offyou're going to be, and this
actually signals central nervoussystem safety.
Now, number two a powerstatement, a single sentence
that primes your subconscious.
Just find something that worksfor you.
(13:52):
It could be three words.
It could be one word like calm, clear and fast, right, so let's
go back to um.
Let's go back to the cars movie, the first one.
You know, disney does somemajor research on all of their
productions, especially in theirpixar movies.
And remember when lightning thequeen at the very opening of
(14:13):
the of the program, it was inthe first scene where he was in
the back of the hauler and hewas whispering to himself I am
speed, what do you think he wasdoing there?
Like, there's clinical researchbehind that statement, and
that's what disney was bringingout was the research that they
did on clinical hypnosis forwinning races.
(14:34):
And then, third, a microvisualization picture, the very
next task hitting the line, gaining the position, nailing
the perfect pit stop, or evengiving a presentation, if public
speaking.
Um, you know, get your nervesriled up and picture all that
going smoothly.
But not only visualizing butcoupling them, coupling that
(14:56):
with the feeling of it actuallyhappening in present tense,
positive and first person.
So that's the important part.
So, you know, first person.
Back to that I am speed, I amcalm, I am clear, I am fast,
right, first person present, tense, positive statements and
then visualize it with feeling.
(15:16):
So that's your three-stepprocess the breathing, the power
statement and the visualizationwith feeling and the stack
takes less than 60 seconds, butit shifts your nervous system
into focus mode and, whenpracticed consistently, it
builds the same foundation wetrain deeper within neuro speed.
(15:37):
Now, if you're ready to takethis further, I put together a
free resource for you, not justthe one I gave you, but a really
deep dive the Race Ready FocusGuide.
Deep Dive the race-ready focusguide.
It's a free, guided two-partaudio tool to help you build a
reliable, repeatablepre-performance routine that
locks in focus whenever itmatters most to you, whether
(15:57):
you're in the cockpit or in thepit box.
This is your edge.
The page is set for a limitednumber of downloads, so grab
your free copy right now, in theshow notes or through the link
in the bio.
Now, final lap champions aren'tjust born, they are programmed.
The difference between breakingunder pressure and executing
(16:18):
with calm precision isn't luck.
It's training your biology andyour neurology to work for you,
not against you.
So take today's lesson,practice it.
Then grab the race-ready focusaudios to go deeper.
Not against you.
So take today's lesson,practice it.
Then grab the race-ready focusaudios to go deeper, because
when you align your biology andyour neurology, you don't just
compete, you dominate.
(16:38):
We'll see you next time.
