Before we dive in, make surethat you hit that subscribe

So we're talking about brain fogtoday.
Brain fog is sneaky, it creepsin as things like forgetfulness,

sluggish focus, uh, for mespecifically, irritability,
especially in the afternoon, oreven disrupted sleep.
And for drivers, crews, andexecutives, or any high
performers for that matter,that's not just inconvenient,
it's dangerous to your survival,to your productivity, to your

(02:36):
relationships, and especially toyour long-term health.
You see, when brain fog creepsin and it lingers, the cost is
high.
This is missed opportunities,poor decision making, both on
and off the track, and even theearly warning signs of more
serious health challenges.

(02:56):
Doing nothing is not neutral,it's choosing decline.
This is where we can apply ourfive Rs method, and this comes
in here where we can put thisstep-by-step roadmap to be able
to clear the fog and reclaimclarity.
Now, I've talked a little bitabout the five hour method

(03:19):
before on the podcast, and we'llgo over that real quick.
Reveal, remove, replace,rebalance, retain.
Now we're gonna dive deeply intoone of these here.
Now, what is the reveal stage?
Well, this is where we startwith the functional lab testing
to be able to uncover thingslike toxicities and deficiencies
and imbalances that areotherwise invisible.

And these don't really show upon uh blood work with your
primary care physiciantypically.
These need to be looked at froma subclinical level.
Now, that's not where we'regoing deep today.
We're going deep on the removestep.
We safely eliminate toxicities,talking about heavy metals that
are in our food, our water, ourair.

(04:03):
There's, my friends, there's noavoiding heavy metals.
So we need to make sure thatwe're eliminating those on a
regular basis, because althoughthose heavy metals like lead,
cadmium, mercury, arsenic, andaluminum are all natural
elements in our environment,they have no business being in
the body.
And when they are in our body,they absolutely wreak havoc,

(04:25):
especially on our cognitivefunction.
And this is where brain fog cancome in.
It can also come in from gutpathogens that slip past a
stressed immune system.
Now we have bacteria in our gut,but when that bacteria becomes
overgrown, or there's bacteriathat should not be there, or
bacteria that's in our gut thatshouldn't be in that particular,

(04:48):
let's say, room, uh, right?
It's supposed to be confined toanother room and it creeps into
uh where it doesn't belong.
And I'll give you a goodexample, there's bacteria in our
large intestine that should notbe in the small intestine.
And this is where something likesmall intestinal bacterial
overgrowth comes in.
And of course, now that Imentioned um a clinical um

diagnosis or disease, you know,in integrative health and
especially in this podcast orour blog posts or social media,
we don't claim to diagnose,treat, or cure any chronic
health conditions.
That is for a medicalpractitioner to uh to make that
claim.
But what we do is we get tothose underlying root causes and
we can eliminate those so thatthose diseases of the body

(05:34):
cannot exist.
And so, yeah, that's smallintestinal bacterial overgrowth.
It happens to grow in the smallintestine, and that's bacteria
that belongs in the largeintestine.
How might it get into the smallintestine?
Well, stress is certainly onefactor.
Um, poor diet is another factor,uh, poor sleep is another
factor.
Uh, there's so many things thatcan uh cause a bacterial

(05:56):
overgrowth.
Uh, but we have a functional labtest.
So back to step number one,reveal.
We're able to see the level ofbacteria in the gut by a simple
urine sample.
And in some cases, for morecomplex situations, uh, we might
use a stool test to be able todo that.
Um, what are some of the othertoxicities that we want to
remove?

(06:16):
How about mold exposure?
Have you ever slept in a mustyhotel room?
It just smelled maybe it was inthe basement level or the first
floor level, it just smelledmusty.
Uh, it could have been on theupper level and had a plumbing
leak at some point, and theyjust never uh, you know, pulled
up the carpet.
So there's mold underneath thecarpet or behind the drywall.
I mean, anybody that's everstayed in a motel has probably

(06:36):
had that experience where itjust smelled musty.
Well, that's mold and that getsinto the body.
And until it's removed from thebody, it continues to grow in
the body just like it would growunder the carpet or behind the
wall.
And I can also go on and on, butI won't, about the endless
environmental exposures at thetrack, at the shop, and yes, of

(06:58):
course, even at your home.
These are all unavoidable thingsthat drag your system down.
And if you skip step one, whichis the reveal process, you're
really only guessing at what iscausing that brain fog.
But we're gonna give you areally uh quick way to be able
to eliminate that brain fog.
So make sure you stay tuned.

Of course, uh, we just talkedabout reveal, we talked deeply
about remove.
Number three was replace.
What are we replacing?
We're restoring what is missingessential vitamins and minerals
and amino acids and omega-3s.
So your body has the rawmaterials to thrive.
Your body needs those buildingblocks in order to function.

(07:41):
You know, if you called up youruh your local engine builder and
said, hey, I want you to buildme an engine, but all they had
was a block and a crank and somepistons.
Well, then you don't really haveall of the building materials to
create that full engine.
You know, you're missing theheads, the cam, the timing
chain, the intake, uh, theexhaust manifolds.

(08:02):
You're missing either thecarburetor, the fuel injecting
system, uh, water pump, and allthose other things that makes
that complete engine, theheaders and all of those things,
the gaskets and everything, evendown to the oil.
Those are all the buildingmaterials you need to have that
functioning engine where yourbody is made up of vitamins and
minerals and omega acids and uhomegas and amino acids, I meant

(08:24):
to say, um, so that it canthrive.
So we want to replace thosethings that are deficient.
And how do we know what'smissing?
Go back to step number one.
We reveal through the functionallab testing.
Number four, rebalance.
We rebalance the systems, likeyour hormones, your nervous
system, your immune system.
So they work in sync instead ofuh just in survival mode.

And then, of course, number fivewas retain.
We talked about that.
This is where we finally lock inyour results with sustainable

Uh, and that's part of ourprocess.
We do the lab testing first, andthen we move right into this
next phase while we're waitingfor those lab results to come
back over the course of two tothree weeks.
Um, and what do we do in thosetwo to three weeks is a
seven-day, 14-day, or 21-dayfunctional medicine detox

protocol.
Now, why the three options?
Well, sometimes people just needa quick reset.
They feel really um on point,but they just want to take
things to the next level.
Maybe they've already done a21-day functional medicine detox
and they only need a seven-dayas maintenance because all of
those environmental toxins thatI mentioned earlier, you know,
at the track, at your shop, athome, are building up over the

course of, let's just say, 90days.
So personally, and for myclients in my private wellness
practice, I recommend thisfunctional detox every 90 days,
every three months.
So we do it seasonally, ofcourse.
And it's, you know, the termdetox, this isn't about starving
yourself.
It's not about spending the weekin the bathroom or drinking

swamp juice all day.
This is a carefully designedreset.
This is a functional medicineprotocol that starts the remove
and replace phases of the fiveRs.
Let's go a little bit deeper.

Here's how it works (10:50):
the detox protocol provides your liver and
detox pathways with thenutrients they need to safely
eliminate stored toxins.
Things like those pesticides,those heavy metals, those shop
chemicals, especially theexhaust fumes.
I mean, even if you're notbehind the wheel, circling that
track, you know, 300 times in aday, maybe you're in the pits,

maybe you're um, you know, inthe office, maybe you're in the
grandstands, or I should say theexecutive suite, you're still
getting those exhaust fumes andplastics and everyday household
chemicals that build up overtime.
That's what we are removing.
And then replacing, you know,while the toxins are being
re-removed, your body issimultaneously replenished with

those essential vitamins andminerals and antioxidants and
especially whole food nutritionso that your cells can function
at their best.
This is wellness at the cellularlevel.
So honestly, and I can speakfrom experience because I've
been doing this for years now,every 90 days, it is literally
like hitting the reset buttonfor your body and especially for

your mind.
You know, it's amazing howsluggish I get over the course
of 90 days.
And I live in a pretty cleanenvironment, eat pretty clean
food for the most part, drinkclean filtered water.
Um, you know, I'm not working ina construction environment uh
like I was years and years ago,where I was constantly exposed
to demolition dust and materialsand diesel fumes and all that

stuff.
You know, that's what really ledme down this path is because
that environment took its tollon my health.
Conventional medicine made meworse.
I found integrative health.
It literally saved my life.
And I said, this is my calling,this is what I'm gonna do for
the rest of my life.
Went back to school, left thatconstruction industry, um,
studied under a naturopathicdoctor, and opened up my own

And I've been doing it eversince.

Yes, that's right.

I had them most likely.
You know, if you're listening,you probably, if you've never
done a parasite protocol before,you most likely have those.
They're causing brain fog.
We clear that out and you'regonna feel amazing.
Uh, if parasites are not anissue, then we can move into
rebuilding the gut and restoringgut health, putting that
bacteria, the beneficialbacteria, back where it belongs,

getting rid of the bacteria thatdoesn't belong there.
Um and then if that's not anissue or after we do that, we
work on getting rid of the moldor the heavy metals.
And usually once we're done withthat roadmap, I'll tell you the
mental clarity is amazing.
