Did you ever feel neglected or dropped? Yet the conversation ends up with your partner on the defense instead of making amends? Was there a time your partner did something that made you feel important and loved? Too bad, it turned out to be a one-time thing? Does it feel like a hit or miss trying to delight your partner? Do you often think that he/she doesn’t get you?

Did you ever feel you could've handled it better?

It all boils down to how the conversation went, what you said, and what you didn't. Often, couples lack emotional dialogues because that isn't the way it was modeled inside families. In most homes, things were just "swept under the rug."

Over the years, communities have evolved from close-knit tribes more akin to families to a disconnected society. The advanced tools available to us today offer sophistication that allows for independence and these are the same tools that trap us in isolation, leaving us impaired when it comes to communicating with vulnerability.

How can relationships survive the isolation trap? Can couples unlearn what they know and figure out a better structure that works for them?

Listen to this episode and get tips on how you can reframe your lines. Be ready to whip up an awesome conversation with your partner tonight!

About the Guest:

Melanie Curtin is a sex & relationship coach with a Master’s from Stanford. Her work has been featured on TODAY, HuffPost, Inc.com, Holly Randall Unfiltered, and more. She's also the host of the popular podcast Dear Men: How to Rock Sex, Dating & Relationships.

One of the most interesting things she has done was to conduct original sex research. She works primarily with men who have sex with women, and with hetero couples.

Melanie’s mission:

She helps men have the sex lives they've always wanted, and by extension, their partners too.

In the short term, she teaches men how to have more & better sex by teaching them how to TRULY please women in bed.  She does this in part via her course, Please Her In Bed, which is based on her research.

In the long-term, she aims to get pleasure-based sex education and Relationship Ed into schools and universities. She wants men and women to have *healthy* relationships that include hot, connected sex because that will change the world from the inside out.

Melanie says she’s not much on social media but you people can get her podcast wherever you are listening! Listen to Dear Men: How to Rock Sex, Dating & Relationships.
