The First Months, The Sleepless Nights, and The Doula

Sammi and I originally recorded this episode just for ourselves and close friends as a way to document what our first 5 months with Atlas really looked like. We weren’t even sure if we would ever publish it. Atlas is now 13 months old… and here we are.

In this first part, we open up about the emotional rollercoaster of early parenthood: from how our relationship shifted during pregnancy and after birth, to the honest challenges of those raw first few months with a newborn.

We talk in detail about why hiring a doula truly saved our sanity, what it was like adjusting to sleepless nights, and the unexpected mental and emotional shifts we went through as new parents.
