The 2025 Lady Conchs Chasing A Championship

The 2025 Lady Conchs softball team is making their mark in the playoffs, dominating opponents with powerful hitting and stellar pitching on their quest for a state championship. Their journey features standout performances from sophomore pitcher Brianna Brenner, who tied a school record with 14 strikeouts, and clutch home runs from Shyloh Sanchez and Skye Sterling that energized their passionate home crowd.

We're in season five and it'sall about baseball.
I'm talking big leagues to thelittle leagues, yankees to the
Conchs and everything in between.
I'll share my joy for the gamewith you and, whether you're a
fan of baseball or goodstorytelling, trust me you'll be
entertained and each episodewill bring a little joy to your
day.

Let's do this thing.
I've given the Lady Conchs acouple of shout outs this season
Remember that triple play andI've been tracking alumni Bella
Perez, Marina Goins, Ty MarieCervantes and Scarlett Niles who
are playing college ball.
But it's about time the 2025Lady Conchs were featured in an
episode of their own.
The girls are dominating in theplayoffs, playing the best

softball when it matters most,because bottom line winning is
the only option to keep playingand hold that state championship
trophy over their heads, andthat is the mission.
This program has beenscratching at the door and
earning respect throughout thestate for years.
Well, it's time.
And who better than RileyHarnish, macy and Lily Gage,

Ariana Garcia, Aaliyah McLeod,Chloe Congos, Lucy Katz, Kalia
Cervantes, shiloh Sanchez, miaWallner, Kalia Dickerson and
Brianna Brenner, along withseniors Scott Sterling, Nina
Manareza, Alexa Condelaa, VeraRoger and Tavin Gage would love
to finish as champions.

I'm a little out in front, solet's take a look back at how
they got us here.
The Lady Conchs finished theregular season with a 12-7
record, stacking wins and runsin chunks.
Half of the wins included 10 ormore runs and they shut out
opponents regularly off thestrong arm of sophomore
sensation Brianna let's HangSome K's.

Brenner, who pairs well withjunior catcher Shiloh Throw 'Em
Out Sanchez, the best pitchercatcher duo in the state.
And there was solid offensivesupport all season with with
senior Roger, candela and Gageleading the way.
Add in production fromsophomore Lily Gage and the fab
freshmen Lucy Katz and AaliyahMcLeod.

Coach Jason Garcia and hisstaff led his team to the number
one seed in the district andthe Lady dominated the district
tournament, scoring 24 runs offof 20 hits, with nearly every
batter getting in on the action.
Raja and Candela were standoutsat the plate and Brenner earned
the wins as she had opponentsswinging and missing during both

games, and winning the districttitle earned a home game for
round one of the regionaltournament.

Conch fans showed up strong forthe red out packing the backyard
like a family reunion.
On the 4th of July, the Ladyput on a show on both sides of
the ball, scoring seven runs offof ten hits, highlighted by two

home runs.
The first was a solo shot offthe bat of Sanchez.
The ball hit the flying ConchRepublic flag over the
centerfield fence to get thescoring started and remind the
Baron Collier Cougars this wasour house.
Then Sterling launched atwo-run bomb that brought the

fans to the feet and buried theCougars hopes to make a comeback
.
Because of Conch's ace, BriannaBrenner was lights out,
striking out 14 and tying aschool record held by Brianne
Kite, who was in attendance.
The fan cam also spotted LadyConch alumni Bella Perez and
Marina Goins, as well as the2025 Conch baseball team.

Coach Garcia should be pleasedwith his roster.
Every player has had qualityand productive at-bats in the
postseason and looked veryconfident at the plate when
their numbers are caught.
But it's defense that winschampionships, so the ladies
must continue to play strongdefense.

the corners, Tavon Gage andCervantes up the middle, Roger
Lily Gage and Condellablanketing the outfield and
Sanchez commanding respect fromthe catcher spot my money's on
the Lady Conchs.
The remainder of the playoffswill likely have the team on the
road as they step closer andcloser to the prize.

The first opponent is theArchbishop McCarthy Mavericks in
the semifinals.
The matching 15-7 record wouldindicate the teams are evenly
matched.
But be clear the Lady Conchshave no match and they packing
