G’day Lions fans, Ash here – and this one’s for the true believers, this isn’t just a preview, it’s the build-up to the biggest stage of all. Strap in.. The haters reckon our window’s closing, the Cats think they’re peaking at the right time, but here’s the reality: Brisbane aren’t done yet.
🦁Three straight Grand Finals. Seven finals campaigns under Fages. They keep calling it a window – nah, mate, it’s a sliding door and the Lions are kicking it clean off the hinges.
🦁Kids on fire. Gallop – fifth game, MCG prelim, strutted around like he owned the joint. Morris – 20 years old, 52 goals, Cats fans can’t even name two of their own under-30s.
🦁The new dynasty wave. Fletcher, Wilmot, the Ashcrofts, Lohmann, Marshall – the next wave isn’t coming, it’s already here. This is how dynasties get built.
🦁The core still cooking. Clug, Berry, Rayner, Bailey – all 27 or under. That’s prime years, folks. This isn’t a “last dance,” it’s a band just tuning up before the big chorus.
🦁Enter Lachie. Two weeks ago, calf torn, season over. Now? Might be running out in a Grand Final. Cats fans can purr all they like – if No.9 trots out, it flips the whole script.
🦁Geelong’s streak. Eight in a row, sure. Dangerfield’s wound back the clock, sure. But streaks don’t win cups – just ask the ‘08 Cats. History loves a Lions twist.
🦁The stage. MCG, prime time, history on the line. Brisbane chasing premiership No.14, right on the heels of the so-called “big Vic clubs.” Geelong chasing another cup for a cupboard that’s already overflowing.
🦁 This isn’t about streaks, this isn’t about windows – this is about a dynasty in maroon, blue and gold that refuses to roll over.
🦁 The Cats can scratch, claw and hiss all they like – come Saturday, it’s the Lions’ roar that’ll echo across the ‘G 🦁
