Ever since Superman burst onto the scene 85 years ago in the first issue of Action Comics, Superman - The Legendary Man of Steel - has been Earth’s mightiest hero. Originally created by Joe Schuster and Jerry Siegel in June of 1938, Superman has enjoyed many different iterations on the stage and screen, but none would be more important than the 1978 blockbuster Superman the Movie. However, like all great films, the journey from print to the screen would be arduous and filled with classic Hollywood turmoil.
