This is Bruce Cruz and I wanted to let you know
that this is part two of mysummer trip into Washington,
and I hope you enjoy hearingabout my travels. After my
northbound train trip on theAmtrak Coast Starlight , the
next morning I woke up after agreat night in a very old

hotel. It reminded me of olddetective movies where you had
the , the desk right by thewindow. Instead, there was a
bed, wonderful place, cup hadsome coffee , a bagel, and uh ,
cream cheese . Then I walkedabout a mile and a half or so
down to below Landers Streetoff of fourth , where there is

a tiny budget Renta car andpicked up A3 Chevy Malibu. And
that was what I got drive forthe next , uh, 10 days . My
daughter and I turned it in onSaturday , try and get to the
upper the ships , dock throughships , but decided no , I
wanted to turn around and goback to Iver's , acres of clams

to enjoy a meal at a place thatI gone with my family many
times . So I went and found aparking spot right across the
way because earlier with theconstruction that's going on
the summer of 23 along the dockway , uh, it was incredibly
difficult to find a place topark. So I had to use the
public . Went to Ivers , didlittle recording there .

Enjoyed a great acres of clamsmeal. It was delicious. Even
had to order some extra breadto sum up the juices . Went
over after that, got in my carand went to get in line to take
the Bainbridge ferry , whichyou can drive on , and waited a
little while, less than a halfhour . Had my camera ready and

I'll also present a video onwhat it takes to drive on ferry
boat . That'll be a a lot offun. Gotta Bainbridge Island
stopped along the way at aStarbucks and had not only a
coffee, but also gotta listenin on a Bruce tips tv. Patreon
get together. Spent an hourlistening there. Then I went
couple blocks away in Paul'sboat and met our travel

consultant for Holland AmericaLine Mitch Henderson. And we
had dinner. I gave him one ofmy , uh, Bruce Cruz off to the
rails glass and he said , I'mgonna drink beer outta this .
And I was very happy . We had agreat dinner and wonderful
restaurant . And then I drovethe last of the , probably 70

miles into western Washingtonon the Olympic Peninsula. Got
into the place that I wasstaying and opened it up and
made sure that the hot waterwas on the water, was going
into the house , made sure allthe electricity was ready ,
started my stay, and it waswonderful to be in the house .
Again , just being able to sitand reflect and think about my

life and things that I wannachange . Reasons why I wanna
live long , would includespending good years with my
wife , good health. I'm reallyexcited about the hikes that I
took during the time up there.
I actually went kayaking. I hadthought I was , uh, above the
weight limit, but my daughterread closely and I was under
the weight limit of 2 75 . So Iwent and tried to paddle about

a mile. And , uh, when youdon't have a good core and
cannot really sit up straight,its somewhat terrible. I was
glad to actually outta the boatand walk again was just
wonderful . My daughter and Ialso had other , uh,
adventures. Uh , had a greattime just being able to sit

around and , and meals. We hadbought , uh, uh, supplies at
the Walmart Superstore in sbo.
We gotta watch sunsets andlisten to the bird. We took a a
walk, she and I , wonderfultime . Then we had to get up at
about three o'clock in themorning. I had a wonderful
dream before we started out .
My wonderful dream was one of acharmed life like Harry Potter.

Having had the , the , I wasfeeling like I could do no
wrong and was just feelingreally good about the , and
about the time . And then , uh,woke up about 10 before the
alarm was gonna go off at threeo'clock . Then proceeded to
finish packing and covering upthe stuff at the house there.

Then we started the drive andwe got SeaTac for my daughter's
eight O'clockish , uh, flightat six o'clock . She was very
happy cause it was only fourdays and the weekend after the
4th of July and there was a 80minute wait at , uh, tsa. So I
dropped her off. I went to thecell phone parking lot again .

(04:40):
They have porta potties, theyhave trash . I away our trash .
We porta potty . Then I droveto , I was gonna turn the car
in and I gas it up and thendrove back and then waited till
they opened up at about eight .
Turned the in , got my draggedsomewhere along the way .

Suitcase mine . Hard old on thetires . So it , it's really
tough to maneuver for the , themile and a half to get to King
Street Station again. But

It was definitely worth it and I really had a
great time while I was up inWashington. I hope you've
