Burnt Out Perfectionist

Burnt Out Perfectionist

Burnt Out Perfectionist is a conversation-style podcast about everyday life, burnout, ADHD, mental health, and the pressure to have it all figured out — hosted by two sisters from different generations. Sara (millennial) and Eve (gen z) have a large age gap, very different life stages, and surprisingly similar struggles. Each episode feels like sitting in on a real, unfiltered sister conversation — honest, funny, validating, and sometimes a little warped. We’re not experts, therapists, or life coaches. We’re just two sisters talking about real life as it’s happening. We talk about ADHD and executive dysfunction, burnout and overwhelm, parenting chaos, emotional regulation, healthcare frustrations, perfectionism, pop culture, and the generational differences that show up when you’re raised years apart — without pretending there’s a perfect fix or a five-step solution. Some episodes are reflective. Some are chaotic. Some are just us laughing through the mess. All of them are rooted in lived experience, not advice culture. This podcast is for exhausted millennials, neurodivergent adults, gen z listeners navigating adulthood, parents trying to do their best, and anyone who wants honest conversations instead of productivity pressure. What you’ll find here: real conversations, not lectures lived experiences, not expert takes humor alongside hard topics permission to be imperfect zero pretending we have it all together If you’ve ever felt behind, overwhelmed, burnt out, or unsure if you’re doing life “right” — you’re not alone. You don’t need to fix yourself to be here. New episodes every Monday at 6 AM PST. Stay as warped and twisted as ever.

Welcome to Season 4 🎉

We’re kicking off 2026 the only way we know how: with a pop culture bingo card, zero pressure, and a lot of strong opinions.

In this episode, sisters Sara and Eve make their totally unserious (but deeply passionate) predictions for 2026 — from rom-coms finally making a comeback, Dancing With the Stars wish lists, nostalgic media returns, and subscription fatigue… to bread machines, book merch, button-making, an...

We’re back with another festive mix of chaos, cozy vibes, and absolutely zero chill about the holidays. 🎄 This week, we’re diving into wrapping paper drama, Christmas spending pressure, wish list culture, and why everyone seems either extra nice… or deeply unhinged during December.

This week, we somehow spend 11 minutes talking about Wicked before even touching the topic — but yes, there are spoilers. After that, we deep-dive into change: the tiny ADHD-approved refreshes (new phone wallpaper), the medium-impact stuff (cutting dairy before it cuts you), and the full-blown life-altering chaos (moves, breakups, death, existential spirals). It’s cozy, unhinged, and aggressively on-brand. stay warped and twisted a...

Part 2 is HERE because apparently we still don’t have time for ANY of this. Parenting trends, internet culture, influencer weirdness, holiday chaos — it’s all unhinged and we’re ranting about every last bit of it.

Today we spiral through: ✨ The TV show literally called Children Ruin Everything 💬 The gentle parenting debate (and the wild assumptions that come with it)

Everyone’s got coping mechanisms — some healthy, some questionable, some just pure chaos. This week, Sara and Eve talk about how ADHD brains try (and fail) to manage stress, emotion, and burnout. From cleaning frenzies to emotional snack binges, they get honest about what works, what doesn’t, and why perfection isn’t the goal.

Feeling socially drained after a “fun” weekend? You’re not alone. In this episode, Sara and Eve unpack the emotional crash that follows plans, parties, and parent events — the infamous social hangover. From holiday chaos to small talk anxiety and ADHD overstimulation, they explore why connection can still feel exhausting (and hilarious). Grab your coffee, curl up, and let’s normalize needing a full-day recovery from being social.

ADHD brains + meal planning = chaos.

In this week’s episode, sisters Sara and Eve test whether freezer meals can actually solve their daily “What’s for dinner?” crisis. From recipe fails to budget hacks and some chaotic laughter in between, they share what worked, what didn’t, and why shredded cheese is now a hill they’ll die on.

They also chat about: 🍂 Fall energy shifts and ADHD fatigue 🎂 Sara’s upcoming birthday (39!) 🎬 Wicked,...

This week’s episode is equal parts birthday celebration and survival mode. It’s Sara’s 39th birthday 🎉, everyone’s sick, Eve’s bleeding for her art (literally), and somehow we end up deep in a discussion about ADHD focus modes, work-from-home chaos, and the mysterious pain that comes with every “ergonomic” office chair.

If you’ve ever balanced adulthood, cold season, and ADHD all at once — this one’s for you.

ADHD sisters Sara & Eve break down the pressure of routines — from makeup hacks and skincare fails to decluttering chaos and the myth of being “low-maintenance.” If you’ve ever bought a travel-size serum, forgot it existed, or kept expired lipstick for years, you’ll feel right at home. Honest, funny, and very ADHD.

In part two of our Can We Be Frank? mini-series, Sara gets frankly honest about the bigger, messier side of ADHD chaos. From overpriced “artisan” everything and copycat book covers to childhood movie heartbreak (Bridge to Terabithia, My Girl, If) and parasocial fandom drama, this episode dives into the spicier, more controversial hot takes. It’s raw, relatable, and still full of unfiltered humor.
