All our lives we do our best to earn a blessing for ourselves. And the “American dream” tells us that we need to work our way to the top and prove to everyone that we’ve earned our right to be there. But that is foolishness. No matter how hard we try, what we are really looking for in life cannot be acquired through earning or manipulation.
