Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, good morning, happy Friday.
So went to my normal morningguys group and then after that
went to the studio.
My interim GM is out of town soI'm covering some of the shifts
that he normally covers but isjust not able to do so.
Did that for a few hours, wasable to do some prep and admin
type work for the studio.

(00:21):
We start our challenge tomorrow.
It's a combination for current, existing members, brand new
members and everyone in between, and so just a little bit of
prep work for that.
Something for the day job poppedup last night and so just
trying to get a quick solutionturned and published so that I
can gain traction there For whatit's worth.

(00:42):
In my day job I've noticedthere's some stuff that takes a
long time and there's some stuffthat you can do a quick
turnaround, and so as long asyou're able to identify if this
is a quick pat, a quick solution, quick patch, quick solution,
or if it's going to take like ahandful of days or even weeks
and then gauge that out, but ifyou see something that comes
onto your plate like, oh, I canget this done in a day or two

(01:02):
days, I can turn it on quicklyand then putting all of your
time and energy into that, your, your bosses, will realize, okay
, like this guy can get stuffdone, he can do it quickly, he
knows how to get stuff done whenhe can.
And if there's some stuff thatjust takes longer, then you
document the journey a lotbetter so that people can see
like, okay, they're makingprogress, they're doing the work

(01:24):
, it's just not done fast enough.
And for things that are quickturnaround, you just do a quick
solution and you don't documentas much until you get to the
finish line.
So that's something that I'mtrying to get better at, trying
to improve on.
So we're good there.
Um, tomorrow's the test himfirst time without the normal gm
.
So we're kind of working withthe new person crew.
But we'll have someone therewho's done a handful of test-ins

(01:46):
before and we're currently atlike 23 25.
But people still buy after thechallenge starts.
So we'll work with that.
Hopefully you can tell I'mstress-free, I'm not weighed
down by where we're at or wherewe're going, because we're gonna
get, we're gonna go there, whether I like it or not.
Now I texted the fellowfranchisee ask if they're

(02:07):
hanging in, because they'regoing through a lot of struggle
now and I think they're comingto grips with what some options
are.
Um, they don't want to closethe doors yet, but they realize
like there's not a whole lot ofoptions, so they're they're
gonna try to keep the doors open.
So hats off to them.
Hope they can do that.
And then someone it's kind offunny A few folks I'm going to

(02:27):
say a few, like three.
Two people have messaged me inthe past like hey, nathan, heard
you own a gym.
I would love to own a gym oneday too.
What's it like owning a gym?
Can we talk?
And I'll text them back like, yeah, absolutely, let's do it.
How about this day and time?
And then I'll never hear fromthem again.
And then one person willrespond back and be like oh yeah
, cool, let's do this date andtime.
I say awesome, let's go, let'sdo it.

(02:48):
So do one of those today and domy best to not bring my own
baggage and my own backgroundinto it.
I want to give them my storywithout telling them what to do,
and that's hard to pull off, because I have baggage, I have
burns, I have scars from whatthis has all been like, and so

(03:09):
figuring out how to do thatwhile still working the day job
and plugging away on things.
My purpose for work is to be afixer, a problem solutioner, to
weigh out the pros and cons onwhat decisions we make, give my
recommendation and then weproceed from there.
Whenever I've talked to adoctor, or whenever we bought a

(03:32):
home and had a home inspection,or taking a car to a mechanic, I
always want to hear like, allright, what are the possible
things we can do?
And to hear, okay, here's thepros, the cons, what does the
expert think?
And then they can cast theirvote on what they think makes
sense.
Ultimately, it's the decisionmaker, the buyer, the
stakeholder that gets to decide, because they know what their

(03:55):
needs are best.
As long as you can tell themwhat the options are, then they
can make a good decision andthen include them in the process
.
And so, yeah, that's wherewe're at right now.
Heading home.
Tonight is family movie night.
We're going to have a greattime with the fam.
We're going to enjoy life.
It's sunny, it's 50 degreesoutside, so it's cold, but we're

(04:18):
going to enjoy life.
Um, we're not going to be sad,we're not going to be weighed
down by where we're at right nowand remembering that there are
tons of people who would gladlychange their situation to my
situation.
Clean food, clean water, cleanair, a vehicle that gets me from
here to there, no healthproblems.
We've got a fridge full of food.

(04:40):
I've got a job that's paying meby the by the every two weeks.
We've got clean clothes.
We've got healthy kids.
I've got a job that's paying meby the by the every two weeks.
We've got clean clothes.
We've got healthy kids.
I'm not.
I'm not going to the hospital.
I'm planning to go deer huntingwith some friends in a few
months.
Like life is good man, likewe've got all these things going
in our favor and we're notgoing to be grateful because of

(05:01):
those things.
But those are things toreinforce yet again why we
should be grateful and that weshould be grateful.
So I'm going to focus on that.
I'm gonna have my windows opentoday.
If I'm cold, I'm going to puton a hat.
If I'm hot, I'm going to wear at-shirt and we're going to
enjoy the sunshine and the freshair.
Because today is a day worthliving and I'm going to love it
to the best and I'm going tomake it a day that I wish I

(05:24):
could repeat again and again.
And that's where I'm at rightnow.
So that's where we're at,that's where we're going.
That's Rock and Roll.
