Wayne Hyun (00:00):
Hey guys, welcome to Business Chef podcast, where we
talk about how to make contentspersonal, brand and monetize
your skills online, other thanworking in the kitchen, so that
you can have multiple incomesource to feed your family, live
better life and, mostimportantly, love yourself.
As a chef, I'm on my journey, building a million dollar empire
, documenting my process and I'msharing with all of you.
So please share and enjoy.

(00:22):
Do this if you're actually goodat something.
It doesn't really matter if youhave a job, you've been doing
something for 10 years or youjust have a hobby.
If you have something that youare good at, do this to maximize
the potential of your return.
I have a friend who is a chef.
He's been cooking for his wholelife in restaurant kitchens and
all he knows is just how tocook, how to work in the kitchen

(00:43):
.
And just at some point of ourlife we just met together and I
was the guy who were doingvideos.
I offered him like yo bro, likeyou should start, you know,
creating content right, and hewas like okay, no problem, let's
do it.
So we started creating contentsand you know it didn't go viral
.
Here's the thing that you guysneed to know as we create
contents.
As we get more views, as we getmore subscribers, this guy

(01:03):
started to get attention.
What that attention brought himwas new opportunities.
He could maximize his career toanother level.
So, for example, he got offeredfrom new restaurants.
He got offered as a privatechef job or, you know, food
stylist, you know consulting, like you know.
Like all these differentopportunities where people
watched those videos and thoughthe was good at his skills, you

(01:25):
know, because he was showing howto cook and blah blah and and
he was actually shocked by howmuch the social media and online
presents can level up hiscareer, can change someone's
life for a good.
It doesn't really matter ifyou're a chef, if you are
someone you know in anothertrade, if you're in other
industries, it doesn't reallymatter.
If you are good at something, you got to start filming

(01:46):
yourself.
Whatever you are doing, filmyourself, create contents and
using those contents, you got topromote yourself.
Once you start promotingyourself, you will get some sort
of attention, and thatattention doesn't mean millions,
like hundreds of thousands ofpeople are watching you.
You only need a few hundreds ofpeople like you.
Only need a few hundreds ofpeople watching you in order to
get some sort of opportunities, right, you don't need to be a
celebrity, you don't need to bean entertainer, you don't need

(02:07):
to be a clown.
Not everybody has to watch you, right?
So what do you get?
Once you get attention, once youhave some sort of offer or
service or products that you areoffering through your attention
, you get leads like people wantto buy yourself, people want to
get your stuff.
They will sign up for youremail, they will contact you,
they'll email you, they'll textyou.
Whatever those kind of leads, you will get them.
And this is the biggest reasonwhy you need to start creating

(02:29):
contents and filming yourself isbecause most people
underestimate the power ofsocial media, the power of
getting attention, because whatit fundamentally does is not
just about getting attention.
It's about creating a market, which 99% of business owners out
there are struggling to do.
Most of them, they just go intoan existing market and they
struggle to sell product A,product B, product C, and they

(02:51):
all fail.
You know that's what mostbusiness owners struggle.
But what you're doing righthere is you're creating a market
who wants to buy and get yourstuff.
This is one of the most crucialskill when it comes to running
a business, when it comes tooperating a business, if you are
someone who has your own career, you have your own strength,
you're good at what you do rightand you want to level up your

(03:13):
career.
Most people believe that youknow time will solve it.
You know spending more time inyour office or in your
restaurant will solve theproblem, but, you know,
sometimes that's not the case.
What most people have to do isto actually learn new skills and
incorporating them with theircore skills, with their existing
skills, and do something else, which is promoting themselves,
creating contents, creatingoffers, creating products,
creating services and creatingleads, creating a market and, in

(03:36):
the end, build a business basedon your personal branding.
I promise you, if you know howto create a market based on your
niche, based on what you'rereally good at, you won't ever
have to worry about how to makemoney.
You wouldn't be obsessed aboutoh, I worked 30 hours this week,
so I'm gonna get less money.
No, I worked over time thisweek.
I'm gonna make more money.
Right, some slow days, I'mgonna work less.
I'm gonna make less money.

(03:57):
So you don't really have toworry about this, because you're
not relying on paycheck anymorewhile you still.
You're still getting paycheckfrom your office, from your job,
but you're not just relying onyour paycheck.
You will know how to create amarket, which you will find a
way to monetize your skills, nomatter what.
That is the most crucial skill.
That is the fundamental reasonwhy you have to start creating
contents based on what you'rereally good at.

(04:17):
So learn how to make videos, learn how to content create,
learn how to market, learn howto create leads, learn how to
sell.
It's all about it.
Like, stop listening to peoplewho say, oh, you gotta work for
your company for the next decade, for the next 20 years, you
gotta be stuck there, work foryour paycheck.
Don't fucking listen to them.
If you've been consistent forthe past five years and you've
been committed, what you've beendoing, you have more than

(04:38):
enough skills to showcase toother people.
You have more than enoughskills to get attention and
solve other people's problemsand monetize your skills.
You're at that level, so don'tbe afraid.
Start learning your skills, start creating contents and
build a business around it.
Real quick, guys, if you'reenjoying this podcast.
I don't run any ads on this.
I don't sell anything, so theonly ads that I have is that.
Help me spread the words sothat we can help more chefs

(05:00):
monetize their skills online, make more money and have their
own successful restaurants.
The only way we do that is werate, review and share this
podcast.
If you find this podcastvaluable, leave a review.
It takes five seconds and, mostimportantly, it may change the
world for the better.
