In this episode, we continue our conversation with Gary Crittenden, who shares experiences from his time as CFO of American Express, Citigroup, Melville Corporation (the then-parent company of CVS), and others. Gary shares his thoughts on whether decision-making and planning should be centralized or decentralized, how important taking care of employees is to enable successful change, where decision-making should happen in an organization, and how to manage innovation in a company where not everybody sees the value in the new thing.
