But It's a Classic

But It's a Classic

Everyone has films they consider absolute classics. Whether they're films that are groundbreaking and critically acclaimed, cult classics, or just a film viewed through a generation of nostalgia goggles, there are so many films that people are shocked someone hasn't seen. Kirk Moore and Phil Rock will watch the films that people give them crap about not seeing and give their own takes on each film. Join Kirk, Phil, and the occasional guest as they try and figure out what makes people drawn to some of these films and reminisce on some of their favorite films.

Want to kill an hour and a half so you don't have to talk to family anymore? Kirk and Phil are here to discuss the cult Christmas classic "Love Actually." Join Phil and Kirk as they get through this surprisingly long film starring pretty much every actor the UK had to offer.

For spooky season (and totally not like 6 months ago) Phil took Kirk through his first-ever viewing of the 1999 classic "The Mummy," starring the great Brandon Fraser and Rache Weisz. Kirk also finds out from Phil what it's like to have perfect vision and explains the childhood trauma that led to his disdain for camels.

Phil and Kirk stretch the definition of a classic with 2002's, somehow critically acclaimed, film The Rookie. A true story about an old(er) guy who gets to play baseball. That's it... that's the movie. Well... one of the two movies in this movie. Confused? you won't be.

In this first episode, Phil and Kirk delve into one of the many movies from Kirk's "haven't seen" list with the 2004 hit Mean Girls. Yes... originally we wanted to post this episode on October 3rd but... shush. I mean really, we wanted to post this over the summer but life happens. Anyway, please go check out more of our stuff on YouTube by searching for Deceptive Productions (usually searching it with Beer Quest will do the trick)...
