O Amazonia 1 é o primeiro satélite de Observação da Terra completamente projetado, integrado, testado e operado pelo Brasil e a missão Amazonia irá fornecer dados e imagens de sensoriamento remoto para observar e monitorar o desmatamento especialmente na região amazônica.
