Bye Bye Why?

There are nearly a million Californians who are considering leaving in the next year. Bye Bye OC is the podcast for California residents who don't just want to talk about leaving, but actually want to make a plan and DO IT! My name is Shell Pavlis and I have been assisting home buyers and sellers find their perfect home since 2001.

 

In the first episode of Bye Bye O.C. I want to give you an idea of who I am, what to expect from future episodes and what Bye Bye O.C. is all about. I also give you some actionable tips that you can start working on today to start your California Exodus plan.

 

Some of the topics I talk about are:

 

- How to figure out where you want to go and what to consider in order to make that decision.

- Several episodes will involve money, like how to save it or tips and tricks from experts on taxes.

- We're also gonna talk about people like us, people who want to leave California but haven't yet for some reason or people who have moved and can give advice on things that they wish that they had done differently.

- Geographics

- Things to Do

-Politics

- Religion/location of churches

- Money: How much you've saved, if any. How could property taxes, income taxes, retail taxes, vehicle registration, cost of living all affect money available.

- Healthcare

- Culture: Environment, City vs County, Arts, Rural Farm

- Employment

- Transportation

- HOAs

 

2. Your Living Situation/What you'd need to do to leave tomorrow!

 

a. Rent …give notice

b. Organize your stuff, sell or trash what you don't want. Would you need to sell and how involved might that be?

c. Job – Get new job first? Give notice? Moving a business? Sell your home?
