Did you know that in the late 1800s, the US had an Emperor? And in this case, at least, we stan an emperor! Emperor Norton I ruled from San Francisco from 1859 to 1880. He was recognized by at least one other head of state and was even working on marrying Queen Victoria. He was an amazing man and we love him.
