(00:00):
Welcome to Caffeinated Chaos, where business deals happen
between diaper changes andfriendships are fueled by
caffeine.
I'm Whitney GaN, your host, andI'm here to talk all things
business parenthood, and ofcourse keeping up with the BFFs,
whether you're juggling theboardroom, the playroom, or just
here for some coffee fuel chaos.
We've got you covered.
Get ready for real talk, laughsand a whole lot of heart as we
(00:24):
dive into the beautiful messthat is entrepreneurship,
parenthood, and everything inbetween.
So let's embrace the chaostogether.
Ated, of course.
Okay, let's be real for asecond.
If you've been on Pinterestlately and searched summer
bucket list, you've probablyseen things like go on a hot air
(00:46):
balloon ride, make homemadeorganic popsicles with fruit you
handpick for yourself, or host aboho backyard movie night
complete with string lights, acharcuterie board, and bug free
air.
Am I the only one sitting heresaying like, this is unrealistic
for me.
I mean, I'm just trying to keepmy toddler from pouring sand in
(01:07):
siblings diaper when we're atthe beach.
That's my bucket list.
And yeah, I just, I wanna have asummer bucket list, but I don't
think that all those ones that Ifind on Pinterest are really
realistic for me.
They're either.
Too expensive, not toddler oractual kid friendly.
(01:28):
And as much as I wanna have ahot girl summer, it's hot Mama
Summer, you know, I still gotkids with me.
So today we're gonna throw awaythe perfect and embrace the
possible, okay, I'm talkingabout a realistic summer bucket
list.
Let's call it the Caffe ChaosEdition, not Instagram.
(01:49):
Perfect.
But.
I think fun.
Definitely chaotic and alsodefinitely doable.
Okay, so let's get into it.
But before we get into it, Ijust wanna let you know that I
have actually made a realisticsummer bucket list, and you can
find it on the link in the shownotes, and it's just a free
(02:13):
printable.
Easy peasy.
One page.
Do as much as you want.
Do all of it.
Do some of it, do none of it,but you have it and it's free.
So hit the link.
Okay.
I'm not gonna get into everysingle part of the summer bucket
list, but I did pull out acouple that we're gonna go
through.
Okay, here we go.
(02:35):
One popsicles for breakfast.
Okay, so this one my toddlerloves because it's fruit.
Kind of, it's cold.
It keeps them quiet for a littlebit.
And let's be honest, somemornings you are just surviving
bonus points if you eat one too.
Honestly, one of the best thingswe do sometimes is we take those
(02:56):
Go-Gurts.
You know the gogurts where theylook like popsicles, toss'em in
the freezer, and then you madeyourself a yogurt Popsicle.
There you go.
Easy peasy.
You know, just put some of thosein there.
Or if you actually have Popsiclemolds, you can actually get
yogurt in cups and then justpour it into the mold, freeze
it.
And then you have yogurtpopsicles.
(03:18):
So if you wanna do a littlehands on, if you wanna hands off
and just wanna toss yogurt inthe fridge, that's what I do.
Two, let's at least one parktrip where you don't forget the
snacks or wipes.
See how realistic that is.
You know what feels like winningthe Audrey is when you show up
(03:39):
to the playground with a fullwater bottle sunscreen, and
enough snacks to avoid ameltdown.
I mean, come on.
It's the little things.
We recently went to a weddingand I made sure I had those
mosquito stickers.
Repellent stickers andsunscreen.
And I just remember going up tomy cousin who also has a toddler
(03:59):
and was like, and she wannasticker it, repels mosquitoes.
Do you guys need sunscreen?
And I was like, oh, look at usmoming.
And she goes, look at you Momingbetter.
And I was like, no, we've donethis a lot.
If there's anything that I tellmy daughter to pack in her own,
she has her own little purse.
It's fun.
Little mosquito stickers andsunscreen.
(04:20):
It, it's like a roll onsunscreen.
So then she went to town puttingsunscreen on her little cousin.
It was quite cute, quite funny.
And all the kids came out of it.
Okay.
Without any mosquito bites.
And then I started passing themout to my grown cousins, so like
our whole row of grown cousinshad stickers that were called
(04:41):
mosquitoes.
We all smelled like citronella,basically.
Okay, so three movie nights, ak, a when everyone watches a
movie and there's minimaltalking, but this is not gonna
be your cute outdoor setup withpillows and fairy lights.
This is, we made it through theday.
Here's some popcorn and Moana.
(05:03):
Okay.
Cozy couch.
I think at night a nice sweettea for me is my jam.
But just get cozy on the couch.
No, even like extra setup.
If you wanna tell your kids togo grab some pillow and blankets
and then you and your partnercan be on the couch and they can
just lay on the floor in frontof you.
(05:23):
Hey, easy peasy.
And then grab your stuff.
Take it to bed, go to sleep.
four, catch fireflies.
Or try once and get bit by 12mosquitoes.
Again, this is where thestickers come in handy.
I know not many places havefireflies.
I remember like really onlyseeing them when I used to go to
my old grandparents' house, backwhen I was a kid.
(05:46):
So I'm just including thisbecause it's a classic.
But hey, if you just make itoutside to quote, look for
fireflies.
You know, I get it.
It counts.
Memories are still going to bemade, and hey, you got the kids
outside, and that's a win five aday where you don't cook
(06:06):
anything.
Whether it's drive throughnuggets, cereal for dinner, or a
pizza party, you deserve atleast one day of zero dish
guilt.
Six water day in the front yardor the backyard.
Turn on the sprinklers.
Fill up a little baby kitty poolhose fight chaos.
(06:28):
Screaming.
This kind of reminds me of thenineties.
One kid always ends up naked.
It's my toddler, and they'lltalk about it for weeks.
And hey, free entertainmentseven.
Make one memory just for you.
See, I love this one because itcan be anything.
(06:49):
It's a big one, but it can beanything that you want it to be.
Is it a solo target trip?
Is it reading a book in theporch or blasting music?
Making space for a moment that'sjust about you and nobody else.
Okay, so that's it.
(07:11):
So I gave you a couple.
The real summer bucket list isin the show notes, so don't
forget to click that link.
It's not about checking off yourevery Pinterest idea.
It's about soaking up theimperfect magic that's happening
right now.
If you feel like summer is justa little sticky, a little loud,
(07:34):
a little chaotic.
Well, in my opinion, you'redoing it right.
Okay?
Remember, it's not about the bigflashy moments, it's about the
hugs, the messy fun, and the joyof showing up just as you are
every day.
And hey, if you wanna make thiseven more fun, and let's be
(07:54):
honest.
I am gonna say it again.

It's simple, it's fun.
It's got everything from eatcereal for dinner to survive a
target trip with both kids.
I know.

summer bucket list, and don'tforget to send us a DM on
(08:16):

thing off the bucket list sofar, once you get started.
And hey, if you have any ideasthat you think could be on this
bucket list, send it to me.
