Speaker 1 (00:00):
I don't care if they're like family, I don't
care if they're your spouse, ifthey don't align with what your
InVision is and you can soulsearch and don't just be
impulsive, really think thisthrough.
But if your inner peace insideis saying, you know what?
This person is holding me back,

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I got to make it a mix.
I got to make it a mix.
I got a negative mega man, andthese are the us

Speaker 3 (00:43):
With college.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Welcome to the Collinwood call-in show where
you get to call in from anywherein the world and ask Collin
anything that you want.
And on today's episode, we haveBraven grant calling him from
Pima, Arizona, small town inArizona.
I'd actually been there and Ialmost missed it.
I will miss it.
That's how small it is.
But anyways, Braven owns acompany called gains in bulk.

(01:08):
Uh, he's a young CEO as the, hada lot of success, especially
because he has a specialcreatine that nobody else can
sell.
Let's call it instant sizedcreatine.
All his supplements, a hundredpercent of the supplements are a
hundred percent natural, whichis now endorsed by a lot of
athletes that are playing at aprofessional league like NBA
UFC.

(01:28):
If you're an entrepreneur notgoing to want to miss this
episode, great conversationbetween Braven and Collin.
And at the end of the episode,we do have a special giveaway.
So stay tuned and watch to theend.
Braven.
Welcome to the show.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
And my question for you, Colin.
I know a lot of people that, uh,that are driven, I would
consider myself a driven, andthen I see the level of energy
and drive you put in on a, everysingle day basis.
You know, when the day, and Iguess my question is really, is
that something that you feel isa Nate in you?
Is that something that you feelpeople can learn, um, being

(02:04):
myself, watching you andlearning that from you and
wanting to say, Hey, I want totake my commitment to another
level, especially on that daily, consistent basis.
Is that something you thinkcould be learned?
Was it natural in you?
How did you learn it?
Um, what would you say tosomeone trying to improve in
that area?

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Yeah, so great question.
Braven.
I know speaking for myself whenI had other people, besides just
myself to worry about it reallyflipped a switch.
It was a, a state of, I need tomake sure that my kids are taken
care of when I was in thefitness industry.
Um, I was very concerned even at25 years old, what does this

(02:44):
look like?
Long-term while sustaining, youknow, at the pinnacle of my
success, within the fitnessmodeling side, um, what happens
if I get hit by a bus and it tomy face up, what does that
happen?
Well, what does that look like?
I've got a son that relies onme.
I've got to make sure that I canprovide, and that started to

(03:04):
change my mindset around.
Okay, I'm a high school dropout.
Let's get real.
What else are you going to do?
The market's not going to alwayspay you what you're getting paid
through all of these differentinfluence type deals.
And so my mind just started toshift and it was identified
based on my own internal soulsearching.

(03:28):
It was saying, you know, youcould literally be screwed if
something were to happen likethat.
Or if your Facebook, you just, our Instagram just got deleted.
What are you going to do if asan influencer?
Right?
And so I'm, um, I'm speaking onmy own behalf of what's
triggering it.
My triggers are my family, mykids, my employees, making sure

(03:51):
that they're taking care of justlike March of last year, when
COVID hit, I covered all of myemployees house payments for the
month of April.
Didn't didn't pay myself.
Cause I wasn't worried about me.
I'm doing this for a biggerreason.
I'm doing this for a biggerpurpose.
So my, my feedback, or I thinkthat it can be not necessarily
learned or taught, but it can'tbe about you.

(04:12):
I think identifying and thatdriving component of why you do
this even more, has to be biggerthan you individually.
I think you're going to do a lotmore when there's a bigger
purpose, not just, you know, andI think that it could be
motivated by specific thingslike, oh, I really want to get,

(04:33):
uh, uh, this Hugh blow watch andthen you get it.
It's like, okay, what's next?
That's not a big, Y that's likea small micro wind.
Let me just go and get thisFerrari.
Okay, great.
You got it now.
What, but the why never ends mywhy is bigger than me?
And so that's what I would sayto you is a driving component

(04:55):
should be your new kid and yourwife and, you know, your
employees that rely on you.
So the decisions that you make, whether to show up or not are
direct reflection on what couldbe the future for your business.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
I love it.
Do you feel then with that asyou've grown your employees and
the company and essentially thepressure and responsibility,
then you've just grown with thator like maybe even chose to put
more pressure on to, tofacilitate that?
I guess.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
So I resignate, I laugh because I resignate, and I
do it to myself.
Every time I get past theselayers, every entrepreneur has
them highs, lows, and we go pastthese pain tolerances, and then
we push the boundaries so muchfurther.
And I end up finding myself whenthings are going very well.

(05:48):
I throw a wrench in it and I goand do something crazy just to
provide more pressure.
And I think that's justentrepreneurship and itself.
When you really think about likehow we're developed mentally, we
don't like being contained.
We don't like being restricted.
When you look at what'shappening from, um, uh, social

(06:11):
economic standpoint, what'shappening in the government.
What's happening, looking aroundat, look at Shopify, right?
Taking down, uh, the president'se-comm store.
That's scary when you look atsocial media, uh, and the
restrictions that they'reputting in place, your voice has
canceled, which is the oppositeof what really entrepreneurship

(06:35):
is, which is for me a doorthat's expanded into a much
broader.
So I would say Raven, like Ilove pressure.
And I ended up self-inflictingit to a point where, um, after
the point, it's kind of like,God, why did I do that?
That's so stupid.
But I learned from it and it'skind of like, I laugh because

(06:58):
you know, I've bought 10 lasersand, and you know, half of the
time, because I don't know what,I don't know what I'm doing on
manufacturing.
I'm figuring the out, but that'sfun right at the end of the day,
like, I'm not doing this just,I'm not doing this for the money
at all.
I wouldn't have my main missionstatement as people over profit.

(07:19):
If that was the case, wewouldn't have donated$5 million
to charities and nonprofits, ifthat was the case.
So I personally just soulsearching, find inner peace from
building concept to realitystages.
And I ended up putting myself inand very challenging situations.

(07:40):
And I feel like a lot ofentrepreneurs do that to
themselves.
What I love is like looking atthings as if this is your low
knowing when I get to the nextpoint, this I can, I can
overcome anything because ofovercame a what's already
happened.
Right.
And you can prepare based onwhat you've already went through

(08:00):
and everything is a learninglesson.

Speaker 5 (08:01):
One other question that came up, like from what you
were saying, when it comes tothe family aspect and making
them a priority and that drivingyou, um, I know like the, the
level of, you know, time andenergy and effort that you put
in to, to your business, what, how do you and your, your wife,
how do you want a spouse in arelationship get connected and,

(08:24):
uh, and really get on the samepage with knowing, Hey, this is
the mission.
This is what we're doing, andwe're building it together.
And that might look different,right?
I'm going to have to go, youknow, spend more time in the
office.
I might have to go here and dothat.
Um, how do you and, and yourwife, like put that together and
really be locked in on thatmission together.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
So, great question, man.
I think that I'm very fortunatein a sense that she has been
very supportive.
Um, relationships can beincredible or they can be toxic.
I would say that you're, if youhave business owners that are
multiple business owners orpartners, um, it's almost like a

(09:02):
marriage.
There has to be a form of liketrust, integrity behind what
you're doing.
There has to be a clear line ofcommunication.
And so the same thing happenswith me and my, uh, when you
look at like similar of likework-life balance, there's no
such thing of balance of timebetween what I can allocate to
my growing business, to what Ican spend at the house.

(09:23):
Um, but we're, she fullyunderstands.
She sees the love that I havefor red line as if it's my own
child.
And it's ours together.
What I do is I try to bring heron board, any chance that I get.
Uh, so if we go to a talk showwith, uh, let's say we were on,

(09:43):
um, uh, the Huckabee show, shegot, she, you know, I wanted her
to come.
We went to Nashville, had a datenight.
Uh, she met Tim Tebow, hung outbackstage with him.
Anything that I can do, that'slike that I can encompass and be
kind of like, uh, sh and it'sreally gonna depend on your

(10:05):
relationship with yoursignificant other, you know, but
I think having that support issuch needed.
And this is what I would say.
If you don't have that, if youdon't get rid of them, I don't
care if they're like family.
I don't care if they're yourspouse, if they don't align with
what your InVision is, and youcan soul search, and don't just

(10:29):
be impulsive, really think thisthrough.
But if your inner peace insideis saying, you know what, this
person is holding me back.

Speaker 5 (10:40):
Yup.
And I think too, a lot of timesyou don't even have to say it.
I know you've seen this, likesome, a lot of times, like, you
know, uh, the people who are notpushing, they don't want to hang
out when you are pushing thembluff.
So I think it usually happenspretty naturally.
So thank you.

Speaker 6 (11:04):
