Camille (00:00):
So if you need
permission or you feel like you
just want to start something, you want to research a new
education degree or start a newhobby or to create a course or
start an online business, I'mgiving you permission to do that
and also giving you the seed ofgrowth of knowledge that I've
had, that it doesn't have to beall or nothing.
(00:23):
So you want to make an impact.
You're thinking about startinga business, sharing your voice.
How do women do it that handlemotherhood, family, and still
chase after those dreams?
Well, listen each week as wedive into the stories of women
(00:45):
who know.
This is Call Me CEO.
Welcome back, everyone, to CallMe CEO.
This is your host, CamilleWalker, and this is a solo
episode.
If you are tuning in for thefirst time, welcome and hello.
I have shared stories of womenbuilding businesses here on this
podcast for almost five years.
(01:07):
I can't even believe that istrue and it is.
And without a doubt, everysingle time I hear a woman's
story, especially mothers whohave pivoted and reshaped and
gone forward with something newthat is within them, it always
inspires me.
And that is my goal here, thatas you're listening to these
ideas and as you're thinkingabout how this could relate to
(01:30):
you, that you really take awaywhat is that calling within
yourself that you're beingcalled to.
And if it's something that youare still not quite sure about
or you're looking for thatinformation, or maybe some
little help here and there, you've come to the right place.
This episode is about how wecan get into a rut of doing too
(01:51):
much and still feel like we'renot getting anywhere.
And there are seasons for allof us as mothers that I feel
like we can relate to thatfeeling and you're not alone and
know that your efforts matter.
So thank you for being here.
If you are not subscribed yet, please do so.
I also send out weeklynewsletters to help you stay
(02:11):
motivated, which also includefun recipes and activities to do
with your kids as I've beencreating content online for
almost 15 years.
It's been a long, long time.
So it's nice to meet you.
Thank you for coming back.
Thank you for pressing play.
Today we're going to talk aboutthe relatable truth of always
checking those boxes and alwaysfeeling like you are behind and
(02:33):
what you can do so that youdon't burn out and you also get
the results that you want.
That is the goal.
And as I am coaching women, that is my favorite thing is to
see them take moments forthemselves.
Often, a lot of times, it'sabout doing less and learning to
say no, that the magic saucereally exists.
(02:54):
Because listen, there is somuch that we're already saying
yes to out of obligation or fearthat if we say no, there will
be a retribution.
I know that I have fallen intothat category before where I'm a
people people pleaser bynature.
I want to help people, I wantto be of service, but sometimes
it's been at the detriment tomyself.
(03:16):
And sometimes there have beenseasons of my life where I need
to slow down.
In fact, just this past month,I was going to launch my CEO
mindset for October, for thefall quarter.
I'm doing another one startingin January, and I have another
one coming in the spring.
And where I was gung ho, readyto go, finished up a virtual mom
(03:37):
summit that I did that wentreally well.
And then I got hit with apersonal illness, something that
I had to battle for almost,it's been about a month.
And I had to take a step backand have a conversation with my
husband of right now is not thattime.
There's a reason why this timeis not the yes that I thought it
(03:59):
was.
And so I need to be able to sayno.
And it's okay to be able to saythat and to take time for
yourself, for your mentalhealth, for your child's
physical or mental health.
So know that I see you.
This is not a perfection ornothing approach.
This is something counts.
Every little something counts.
(04:19):
And we're going to talk abouthow we can do that to reach our
goals.
So diving in, I want you tothink about a time that you felt
like you needed permission todo something.
I actually was interviewed justearlier today, and the woman
interviewing me asked, What issomething that you feel like is
(04:41):
a number one struggle orquestion or something that
someone wants to overcome whenthey come to you for coaching?
And I said to her, it would bepermission.
I feel like a lot of times aswomen, we wait for an invitation
or someone to give us thepermission to do something.
I can tell you this becauseafter sharing story upon stories
(05:05):
and coaching many women, it isoftentimes ourselves that holds
us back because we feel like weneed permission from someone
else to do the thing.
And if you are in that camp andyou need that permission, I'm
giving it to you right now.
So if you need permission oryou feel like you just want to
(05:26):
start something, you want toresearch a new education degree
or start a new hobby or tocreate a course or start an
online business, I'm giving youpermission to do that and also
giving you the seed of growth ofknowledge that I've had, that
it doesn't have to be all ornothing.
It doesn't have to be anapproach where you plant the
(05:49):
seed and it's ready to go thenext day.
I really believe in seasons ofgrowth and of flour.
And there are, there's a timeand season for everything.
So as you're thinking aboutthat, I want to tell you a story
about someone that I actuallycoached recently.
Her name is Erin, and she is atherapist and someone who had
(06:11):
this fantastic idea to helpwomen with mindset and
meditation, and also how tosettle within the unsettled.
And that's what her approachis.
And for her, I would say thiswas the thing that she had that
was holding her back.
She had all of these ideas of acourse and training that she
(06:32):
had had and wanted to share, butdidn't know exactly how to put
that offer forward.
And this is so relatable.
If you've never put somethingout into the world before, it is
scary.
It can feel overwhelming.
You may not know the rightsteps to take.
But as we went through andidentified her why, which is
(06:53):
key, why, why are you wanting toshare this?
Who are you sharing it to?
Who can benefit from this thingthat you have to offer?
Once we really dug into the whyand the who, we were able to
create really slow, sustainablesteps to get from A to B to C to
D.
And I can say that the momentthat she got to of realizing and
(07:16):
believing that she could dothis for herself, what is my
favorite part, my favorite partof coaching when I see that
light bulb of okay, I can dothis and you're here with me and
we can do this together.
And sometimes that's also anapproach, not only getting
permission or giving yourselfthat permission, but also having
(07:37):
someone in your camp that isn'tassociated with your family or
your previous relationships.
I feel like having an outsiderwho is so invested in your
business alone and the successof that and has done the work,
that is where you get the bestadvice.
I love advice from my husband.
(07:59):
He's been such a greatcheerleader for me.
But the role of a coach issomething I get somewhere else
where I want to get advice frompeople who have done the thing
that I want to do myself.
So that would be my next tip isto really seek out the advice
of someone who's walked the walkand done the thing that you
(08:20):
want to do and to really look attheir life really behind the
scenes, pulling back thatcurtain.
Do they have the work-lifebalance that you're looking for?
Do they have the success thatyou're looking for?
Do they have the peace thatyou're looking for?
That has been such a huge milemarker for me of looking for a
(08:41):
mentor is seeing how theyconduct themselves, not only in
front of the camera, so tospeak, but really what's going
on behind the scenes.
And if there's someone that youcan think of as a mentor that
is living that life, that's thegolden ticket in my mind.

(09:49):
There is a false belief thatmore is better and that our
culture can glorify busyness.
And I think that that's wherewe can get wrapped up in the
comparison trap of thinking thatmaybe it's the higher
engagement of their social mediaor the trips that they're going
(10:11):
on or the monetary things thatpeople may have.
But I can tell you that when Itook the time to peel back the
layers of what I thought Iwanted and what I actually
needed, it's the peace that Iwas really searching for.
The truth of it is that youcan't scale chaos.
(10:33):
You can only scale clarity.
And that's where the beautifulthings will open up to you of
exactly how it is that you wantto build your life and your
business that will give yousustainable results.
And that is my favoriteapproach to any woman that comes
to me looking for help in theirbusiness is really to create
(10:55):
that clarity of what is it thatyou're really looking for beyond
the numbers.
And if you can line those up,that is when real growth can
happen because we help toclarify not only the the why and
the who, but getting help tohelp you get there.
One of the number one thingsthat I see women struggle with
(11:17):
is what I like to call theenergy leak.
That's where we're saying yesto so many things that we forget
what we're saying no to.
And at many times that can bethe risk of our own diet,
health, movement, um, havingeffective systems or knowing
exactly what it is that we'relooking for without taking care
(11:39):
of ourselves first.
Mental health and clarity is agift.
And if you can sort out yourschedule in a way to help you to
move in with diet and rest andmovement and a teamwork within
your business, that's whenthings really improve.
(11:59):
That is why I started trackingnot only what I was doing, but
how I was feeling.
A big key part of that for mewas getting an aura ring.
If you're watching the video onYouTube, I'm holding it up to
the mirror.
This is one of those sleeptrackers.
Um I was an affiliate of theirsuntil recently.
They did away with theiraffiliate program.
(12:19):
But the best time to buy thisis Black Friday, which is coming
up very soon.
So keep your eye out for that.
But it helps to track yoursleep, your stress levels, your
heart rate, which is very muchlinked with that stress and
heart rate, your period cycle.
You can actually watch yourtemperature goes up and down,
which also includes thetemperature of your health.
(12:40):
So if I have been in asituation where um I've been
getting sick or my uh mytemperature has been elevated
outside of my norm of my normalmenstrual cycle, my ring will
notify me in the app to say, itlooks like you are possibly
coming down with something, takerest if you need to.
(13:02):
And I have loved it so much.
It's biohacking to my physicalhealth.
And I I'm a I'm a data girl.
I love to see the stats ofwhat's going on with my body
physically.
In fact, that um health problemthat I had this last month, I
very much was tracking my heartrate and with my Apple Watch and
(13:26):
with my ring.
And what's really cool is theAura ring actually syncs with
your Apple Watch for activitylevel.
So if you're working out andmaybe the Apple Watch doesn't
track it, the ring will, andthen they sync with each other
and it tracks with your rings.
Now, this might sound crazy tosome people, but I actually
started a 100-day movementchallenge with closing all three
(13:50):
of my rings on my watch.
I do an eight-hour minimumstand, a 30-minute minimum
exercise, and a 300-calorieminimum.
The reason why I keep it amoderately low goal in terms of
the calorie burn and thestanding is I wanted to be able
to set it to something that Icould achieve, even if I'm
(14:13):
traveling, I'm sick, or not in aregular workout routine, so to
speak, so that I could still dolike a walk or a yoga or a
stretch, and that 30 minuteswould still come into account.
So I started that.
It's been over a year ago nowbecause I did a 100-day
(14:33):
challenge.
And believe it or not, I got tothe that 100 days and it had
changed my life so completelywith tracking that health and
that sleep and that activitythat I thought, why not get to a
thousand?
I'm like that kind of escalatedquickly.
But I am at like day 654 orsomething.
(14:56):
I'm really close to themid-600s.
And it has been such a gamechanger in my health because it
hasn't been so much about, oh, Ihave to work out again.
It's almost gamified it in away where I'm like, oh, yeah, I
get it.
I need to close my rings.
And in the process of that,I've fallen in love with being
(15:17):
active and tracking my healthwith my ring, my sleep, and my
activity.
So finding ways to sneak inrest, I think that's what you
really figure out with this ringis seeing how much good rest
and getting really deep sleepaffects the effectiveness of
(15:38):
your ability to take on the daywith everything else, with
everything else you have goingon in your life, with your
family, your work, yourrelationships, and your ability
to feel your best.
So pay attention to that.
What are you saying yes to?
And by default, what are yousaying no to?
And if it is yourself, even a10-minute walk.
When I was getting back into myfitness after having a surgery,
(16:01):
for me, it was doing reallysimple things through walking,
like doing the step bet program, which is to help you to get
steps in.
And it's a gamified way ofdoing that.
You put money into a pot, andeveryone that finishes within
the six weeks gets your moneyback plus whatever everyone else
had left over divided among whostuck it out.
That was a really cool way todo it.
And I've also done theConqueror walking challenges,
(16:24):
which was really fun too.
So find something that couldmotivate you to either get the
sleep you need or the activitythat you need and make it
rewarding for you, whatever thatlooks like.
Number three is getting intothe CEO mindset shift.
This is something that I amsuper passionate about and have
(16:47):
created my program around.
It's called the clarity successmethod with the CEO mindset.
So what that means is with theC, we're looking for clarity.
We talked about that in thebeginning.
That's knowing your priorities, your why and your who, because
when it when it gets hard, whichit will, what is going to keep
(17:07):
you coming back for more?
It is that why, it's thepurpose.
It's that knowing of who you'rehelping and why you're doing
it.
The L is to leverage.
That means to focus on highimpact actions.
A lot of times when I'vecoached women in business, they
can get swept up into dailyadministrative tasks that aren't
(17:32):
the needle-moving decisionsthat need to be done by them and
themselves only, which meansthat you may need to bring
someone into your world to dothe things that are the
everyday, that still keep theneedle moving, still keep the
business successful, but thatyou're able to free up your mind
and your time for thosemoney-making moves is what I
would like to call them.
(17:54):
And that can be hard.
That's something that I helpcoach people with is finding
reliable team members and how tocreate systems so that once
they come into your world, it'san operating system that no
longer requires you to have yourhand in every single pot.
The A for my clarity successmethod is to have alignment.
(18:15):
That means to have built-inroutines that sustain your
energy.
So that's those pieces of onceyou get a virtual assistant into
your world, you know exactlywhat that looks like moving
forward so that it's notdecision fatigue of, oh, what am
I going to have them do today?
What am I going to have them dotoday?
What am I going to have them dotoday?
(18:35):
Because that's where we havethose energy leaks again.
So if that's something that isappealing to you or you think
you'd want to learn more about,I would love to have you join me
because that's what I'm helpingpeople with, like Erin, who was
lost in that what do I do wheeland getting in her own way, and
then needing thattransformation of those steps,
(18:58):
giving yourself permission andalso finding the clarity of
knowing what steps to takefirst.
And if you're ready to reclaimyour energy and your time, I
would love to have you grab myfree time audit, which helps you
to go through and first of allsee how you're spending your
time and where those energyleaks are, where are those lost
(19:18):
hours that you have in your dayand using that as a tool to help
you to move forward.
And from there, I would love tohelp you if you're interested
in joining the joining the CEOmindset or having a one-on-one
coaching with me.
You can have a discovery callfree, and we can see if I am a
good fit for you to help youwith where you are in your
(19:39):
business.
But most of all, I want you toknow that if you have a stirring
within you, if you're runningthis business and you're feeling
a bit lost, that is sorelatable.
And I want you to know you'redoing amazing.
You're showing up, you'reputting the work in, and more
than anything else, you havewhat it takes.
(20:00):
