Summary: When Abram was 99 God appeared to him telling him I am “God Almighty” (Heb. El Shaddai). Shaddai comes from an old word meaning “mountain” and refers to His mighty power that is high and unshakable. And, if Abram wanted to know God’s power, he had to walk, that is live, close to the Lord. So too the passage before us speaks the same unto us. How can we do it?
