Galatians 5: 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

This is the battle of whose passions and desires will rule in my life. My flesh's desires or the desires of the Holy Spirit. Paul is revealing the victory in the Christians identification in Christ Jesus and the positional of sanctification of the crucified flesh and the practical sanctification of the crucifixion of the flesh's passions and desires.
